I love this stuff. I started using it about ten years ago when I was a bleached blond (when my hair was extremely damaged, and breaking off). Since then my hair has gone through many different colors. Currently, it is my natural color, and so it is pretty healthy. What I love about this is that it works well on all types of hair (very damaged, or healthy). I like to blow dry my hair straight with a big, round brush, and this keeps my hair from getting dried out, and damaged. It seals the hair cuticle, and makes it shiny. You want to be careful though that you do not use too much of it (no more than a dime size amount for long hair), because it will make it greasy, and apply it mostly to the ends of your hair.

My hair is not particularly damaged. I have long fine hair with a natural wave that can be coaxed into curl, but I also have a lot of hair. I'm not sure what compelled me to try this product, but I absolutely loved it at first. It gave my hair a lot of slip, and I used it as a heavier leave-in conditioner of sorts. I've noticed that as my hair has been really healthy (like right after I trim it), I don't really have a need for this product. However, when I have a lot of split ends or need some extra moisturizing - this stuff works great. I don't find that it's a good substitute for Chi silk infusion or Biosilk silk therapy - if I need help with frizzies on the ends then this formula just isn't heavy enough to do the trick consistently. It works for my purposes and I MIGHT purchase again. I don't think this necessarily supplies anyone with heavy duty protection or extra moisture or anything, though. This is kind of an all-in-one product, but I have so many products that I can find one that does everything that this one does... only better.

Smells fantastic! I absolutely love the scent! The actual product however, left much to be desired. It didn't moisturize, help with breakage or add any softness.

this product is ok it does what it says it does but bioslik makes may hair just as soft

Absolute HG product for my highlighted hair!
Anti Snap make my overprocessed hair so soft and healthy looking. My hair hates the other protein products in this line, so im shocked over the very good result i have had with this. But remember that it IS a protein treatment, and it is clearly stated on the bottle that it is for damaged or distressed hair. This truly is a bottle of AMAZING.

My hair was completely fried, I had recently tried some new haircare products and it seems they worked together to make my hair so damaged I could no longer straighten it, it would just puff out into this giant coarse ball of wires. I bought Anti Snap and a deep conditioner and my hair is almost back to normal now. I tried some cheaper leave in conditioners and repairing products that would normally have worked (like Aussie 3 minute and their leave in) but they did nothing. After using this product for a couple of weeks my hair is almost soft again, the ends are still a bit dried out but I can straighten out my bangs again and most of my hair feels nice and the ends no longer look fried (they just still feel a bit fried). I actually had no hope this product would work, I apply it to my damp hair and besides smelling great it doesn't feel like it's working, my hair feels dry after I apply this. Then after my hair is completely dry I feel a difference. I like the packaging the bottle is pretty and the pump works well for me, it smells wonderful, I wish it was cheaper. Will repurchase.

I have thin, dry, color-treated hair that breaks very easily. Everytime I use this product on my ends, I swear my hair breaks off even more. It should be called Pro-Snap, not Anti-Snap. I am going back to my HG, Biosilk silk therapy.

I love this treatment! I like the scent, it's light and sweet. The bottle it comes in has a pump with a turning lock so you don't risk spillage and waste any of the product. After towel drying I just flip all my hair over and scrunch about 5 pumps evenly throughout. It's not greasy and it doesn't weigh my hair down at all. I did notice a difference right away after the first time using it. Note: Adding extra nutrients to already healthy hair isn't necessary and can actually cause damage rather than help. Think of it like vitamins for your hair follicles. If your hair doesn't have any damage or you don't color it, it might not be suitable for you.

After years of reading reviews I finally decided to get this and I am so glad. I use this on freshly washed hair, followed by a moisturising leave-in conditioner. My hair feels softer, smoother and stronger. My hair ties are now slipping out of my hair!! That hasn't happened since I had virgin hair back in the 90s haha. I will be buying this again. Great packaging, just turn the nozzle to lock - no leaks in my suitcase.

my hairstylist recomended this on my very damaged hair and i'm so glad she did! i flat iron my hair just about everyday plus i have pretty long hair, so i have lots of split ends. i've used a lot of different shampoos & condititioners but they didn't seem to work. i've been using it for about 2-3 weeks now, using it everytime after i shower, and i really notice a difference in how much split ends i have. it's my lifesaver!

I've used this for about 3yrs now and its great. I dont understand why people are rinsing it off. I wash and condition my hair every day like normal then 2 pumps of this rub my hands together and run my fingers through my hair and give it a brush through. I never rinse it out. It keeps my hair cuts looking great for longer than the recommended 6 weeks usually about 4 months. Its expensive but a bottle last me a year so i dont think thats to bad. I've read what some people have said and I think maybe they are putting to much on which will make it greasy. You should also apply the normal heat protectors etc. I have quite long thick hair so some one with shorter hair should prob only put on one squirt. I hope some of the people that have used it and put to one side read this review and try it out again because it will be worth it.

Love this stuff. My hair is fragile and thin from thyroid problems. Usually tangles and comes out or breaks when blow drying or brushing any time of the day. When I use this (roots to ends) my hair blow dries better, has texture and body, and is far more manageable. No more breakage. Love, love, love it. I don't use much, two or three pumps for my shoulder length hair does the trick. Will buy as long as they make it.

This is one of my top two hair products (along with PM Super Skinny) that I make sure I never run out of! I have been using this for about 6 years now and it is great! It is a great leave in and makes my hair a lot more manageable and strong! Helps with breakage and love the smell!

Also if your hair is still breaking a lot after using this you might need to; get a protein treatment, use some sort of moisturizing conditioner, or lack of protein might not be your problem.

THIS is my #1 must have hair product!!! I have been using it for over 9 years, and each time I run out of a bottle, I freak out if I dont have a replacement bottle here! It's a protein treatment, which strengthens and repairs damage to hair, and it does exactly what its meant to do! It smells great and leaves my hair feeling fabulous. It has made a huge difference in my hair. I will never stop using this product! Great Job Redken!!

I love the smell of this - probably because I have a very bad sweet tooth! I apply AS to the ends of my hair and sometimes on the mid-lengths. My hair feels like silk and is so shiny, and the ends of my hair feel so healthy. I use this about 3-4 times a week on my fine, wavy hair and it definitely helps prevent split ends (and saves money because I dont have to visit my hairdresser so often!).


This is a protein treatment. It is meant to strengthen your hair, and it does just that. It really helps keep my hair healthy and strong.

I really think this product made my hair worse than before I started using it. It seemed to dry it out & make it break more. I used a little more than half the bottle until I just poured the rest down the sink and recycled the bottle. I had high hopes for this.

I've been using this for the past few months when I flat-iron my hair and it's been keeping my hair fairly healthy. After I wash my hair and towel dry it I put a small amount in my hair and make sure its on the ends mostly and let my hair dry naturally. I'm asian, so my hair is thick, but it's also curly, like medium sized ringlet curly, it has been lightened to a light brown and it's also been thermally reconditioned at the ends which I'm growing out. So my hair has been through some bad times, but right now it's doing quite well with just the anti-snap. I wash my hair every 3 days as well, so that also had helped keep my hair somewhat healther. This is a pretty good hair treatment, but I'm looking forward to buying a new treatment that's more natural.

my hair starting to become weak when i started putting hi.lights in my hair i was adviced to try anti.snap.i dont think it made any difference it just made my hair feel stiff and even drier woudnt buy again

Wow, I can't believe some of the negative reviews on this! I use it every time I wash my hair, and i can tell a real difference in my hairs strength and elasticity. It is a treatment, not a leave in conditioner- it absorbs quickly and leaves no residue. I like the fact it is very light weight, since my hair is long and fine in the winter and frizzy thanks to the humidity in the summer, I have to use several different styling products to get the look I want and this never interferes or weighs it down. I usually only apply it on the bottom half of my hair, not at the roots. It is also color treated and cut in long choppy layers, so I visit the salon about once every 2 months or so and my stylist even commented on how my hair was looking healthier and with less split ends. I will continue to use this as long as it works this well! I took off one lippie for the price- but i have found a generic version at sallys beauty supply that works just as well- (it even smells the same) for about 5 bucks! cha ching!

I hate it when I read about "miracle" hair care products and they do nothing for my hair. This does nothing for me. I have medium/long, colored and highlighted hair. It's very fine and due to flat ironing and processing it's been breaking. I see absolutely no difference with this product.
