I dont know why its taken me so long to review this fragrance as it is very popular and i have purchased it for my mother but here we go. White Diamonds rocks my world. There are three criterion fragrances must meet to become favorites of mine. 1) They must be strong 2) They must be floral and 3) They must give excellant sillage. White Diamonds meets all three criterion. White Diamonds is a very, very musky, incensey, smokey floral. Most reivews here state this smells like an "old lady". Old lady is not what i imagine. I like to imagine a stereotypical witch with her broomstick walking through a norweigian forest. Dense, black clouds are in the sky and there is a light drizzle. A forest fire is burning a few miles from her cave in which she lives. Outside the entrance to her cave all types of mystical, dark flowers are in bloom. She enters her cave and builds a fire to keep warm which begins to smoke and then she lights some incense she discovered during her travels in Asia. Exotic cats that emit a civet, musk type scent make their home outside her cave too. She is a good witch and is proud of her cave and the scent which envelopes it....White Diamonds.

Can we say this product is past its prime, had its time? I guess a more mature woman like my grandma would like this. I just find myself referencing it whenever there is a pungent, old-people smell. I got this as a giftset, pretty irrelevant for my age in my opinion. Knowing how it smells, I regifted it to none other than my great aunt. She loved it! Whoopee!

My mother got a gift set for this fragrance a while ago, it smells so beautiful and floral on her (shes 36) so i tried it out (im 17) but it smells like a public rest room on me...not good.

I guess its more suited to older woman.

This was my very first perfume purchase when I was 16. I just loooooved it in high school and wore it all the time, until I realized I smelled like an old lady. Oh well. I still love it, and it brings back fond memories of boyfriends and high school football games. :) It's an older "classic" scent that is immediately recognizable, but I still love it.

I am pretty bold when it comes to fragrance (see my many reviews!)-- I can wrestle with some of the toughest scents (Youth Dew, Aromatics Elixir)-- but White Diamonds is one of the few fragrances I truly dislike. To me it smells like urine with honeysuckle air freshener. No offense to those who have the right chemistry for this, but on ME it is sweet, sharp, cloying, and just plain yucky, like to the point of needing a shower before I go on with my life.

This is the most disgusting overbearing scent to me...then I smelled it on someone else and I asked what she was wearing. I was shocked when she told me it was this! Goes to show how much body chem has to do with it!

I rediscovered this lovely fragrance...i know it is a love it or hate it kind of fragrance, but i always notice it on others and I think it smells divine. Classic white lily sort of fragrance, with a sparkling effervessence. White lily/tuberose like Georgio but i prefer white diamonds...georgio smells very 80's. This too is retro but still smells like something you can wear today. Lasting power is great, and am enjoying this in the colder months, and i'm sure in the summer months it will be just as lovely. A real if you want to be noticed sort of fragrance.

Years ago everyone was purchasing this perfume and giving it as a gift. Sadly, I was a victim of these gifters. This smell is horrible, and it lingers in the nasal passages. I could not even give it away so I had to throw it away. Whenever I smell this on others, I cringe and throw up a little in my mouth. I would never buy or recommend.

I was given this as a gift, and was not too crazy about it. I thought it smelt too old lady-ish, but every time I would wear it I would get so many positive comments, especially from guys. I guess it goes to show how little I think I know about men!
I prefer lighter, fruity scents, but this is a good occassional change for me, and for the price you can normally find it at the discount stores you cannot complain too much.

Truly the scent of an old woman. It smells like something died. It is, without a doubt, the most vile fragrance I have ever had the misfortune to smell. White Diamonds is a shining example of why fragrances are being banned. The sillage grabs you by the throat and squeezes like a rabid dog. White Diamonds is too strong to be worn without consideration for others.

Yes, I know people ask you what you are wearing but they are asking because they NEVER want to make the mistake of buying it, not because they love it :-0 Trust me, I worked in the cosmetic department, it doesn't smell good on anyone.

There's something about this fragrance. Its kind of unpleasant but attractive at the same time. It is interesting to note that this early celebrity fragrance has a very distinct and unique scent that your nose will either love or hate. Today's celebrity fragrances all have a generic and inoffensive scents that rarely evoke strong reactions. If only Gwen Stefani could come up with something as controversial as this...

i adore this scent. so dreamy and romantic. i get so many compliments when i wear this. i have caused most of my family to start wearing it. they all would exclaim "u smell like grandma" which is a huge compliment and why i purchased White Diamonds. Grandma always wore Moon Drops. i know memories are associated with scent so this is what heaven would smell like to me.

This fragrance is so sentimental. My grandma uses it always for special occasions and used to give me a little spritz when I was a young girl.

I don't wear it myself, but I still love to smell it, especially on her.

I no longer have much of a sense of smell. However, White Diamonds was the first perfume I bought for myself (odd, I know, I associate it with older women, too). Ha - maybe I liked it back then because I could actually smell it (since everyone says how strong it is, and my sense of smell has never been that great). Anyhow, I did like how it smelled on me. I never put much on - just one spritz on the wrist, which I then rubbed on my other wrist and behind my ears. Other people liked how it smelled on me, too. I just used my last bottle up and never bought any more.

This is such an elegant fragrance. It just make you feel like movie star in every sense of the word. I LOVE the bottle, it has got to be the most beautiful bottle ever made. It has been around for over 15 years and still is in the top ten sales at Macy's at Christmas time. That alone says a lot. The bath products in the line are also good, particularly the body creme.

This was my first perfume ever... I was only nine or 10, and my aunt gave me her used bottle of this because a diamond fell off the bottle, so she bought a new one and gave me her old one... I used to spend minutes running my fingers over the encrusted diamonds, feeling so glamorous and pretty- even though i was so young...
I used to spray it on with my mother's permission when we'd go somewhere special, and I felt like a million bucks.. it was just like in the movies..
to this day this fragrance brings back fond memories, and it holds a special place in my heart... i will always love this fragrance =)

This scent doesn't work on me, it becomes too powdery, but my mom wears it and it smells terrific on her. I will get in her car sometimes and just smell this lovely, musky, lightly powdery smell. The sandalwood and amber are the strongest notes (on her!). The bottle is very pretty and elegant looking and the price isn't bad. I always buy her a gift set for Christmas, usually this one or Passion, she loves both of them. Applied sparingly, this one is very nice and subtle.

At first I did not like it, I felt the scent was too strong. The bottle set on my dresser for a while. Then I decided to wear it one day for a change. I found out that if you spray just a little bit it smells good. Although whenever I use this bottle up I am not sure if I will purchase it again, but I went ahead and said yes.

I love white diamonds because it is very sophisticated. This perfume definitely has to fit your chemistry and you have to spray sparingly. A little goes a long way. I think Liz did a wonderful job with this perfume and I love this scent. The bottle is very elegant as well. But perfume is such a personal choice, do smell this before you buy because it may not suite your taste.
