I am glad to see that so many other ladies love this quad as much as I do. I keep trying other eyeshadows and, inevitably, I come back to my Canyon Classics quad. They are superior to many other department shadows in my opinion. Soft texture, perfectly matte and oh so flattering -- great for blondes who are constantly on the lookout for shadows that won't overwhelm their fair coloring and also for the over 35 crowd (no shimmer whatsoever). I love these colors and will continue to buy over & over.

This one really surprised me. AWESOME product at a great price. I have been looking for some neutral matte shadows to wear on the "natural look" days, and this is it. Silky smooth, goes on easily, blends nicely. What more could you ask for? I use every shade in this quad, which never happens. And the taupe color works great as a brow shadow too. This stuff has staying power on me (I do use a primer though) and doesn't irritate my eyes, even if I use it on the lower lash line. Highly recommended!

Sorry, I don't love these shadows. The colors looked great - I like matte eye shadows alot, but the formula just doesn't work for me - doesn't go on well, no staying power etc... Too bad as I liked the colors. Will stick with Prescriptives, Chanel and Bobbi Brown shadows, they always seem to work well for me.

I was hoping to get the new Bobbi Brown 2007 fall, however, it is sold out. From reading another review I heard about PF neutrals. I was pleasantly surprised to find a non-shimmer, neutral eyeshadow. I love the wear and it looks great with my olive skin color.

This pallette is the best for women who are over 50 and who want to NOT look like a Lindsay Lohan wannabee with glitter that flakes all over their cheeks. It's found in every drugstore, inexpensive, stays forever, and is flattering to everyone. It is difficult to find a matte shadow anywhere...most have hidden sparkles in there somewhere...and this one is perfect. Blendable and easy to apply. No sparkles! No silica! No teen vampire movies! No glitter. A find.

The shadows do appear a little flat in the case. The colors are fantastic. There's a neutral dk. brown shade, a dk. beige shade, a tawny light brown and a bone shade. They wear very very well and can look good on a variety of skintones. I like a little shimmer, so these aren't my favorite but I do have to say that the pigment is wonderful on these. Great for a professional look.

Love this product! I'm a 14 year old girl with medium/olive skin, blue eyes, and sparse eyebrows. I also have discoloration on my brown line and on my eye lid.

I use the tan/olive shades to cover up this discoloration. I use the bone color under my eyebrows and on the inner corners of my eyes, as well as an undereye concealer.

For eyeshadow, I use a trio of eyeshadows. I put two layers of the pewter with a small brush on my whole eyelid starting from the crease. I put a little of MAC Jest on the outer portions of my lid, and dust a light covering of MAC Honesty on the whole product. Overall, my deep-set eyes are brought out and my dark circles minimized.

Useful for any age and a perfect, natural, gorgeous look!

I was in the USA recently and came across this range. If it's sold in London I've never seen it before but this particular quad of shadows could have been made just for me. I'm older, you see, and I don't want a lot of shimmer or glitter on my eyelids so these subtle, natural looking shades do it for me. I use a smear of Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm eye and lip first (of course)...and then I layer them on. I admit I'm partial to the soft tan up at the top left but I love that smokey grey one and the rest of them as well. In my (considerable) years I've bought many (much, much) higher priced shadows that don't touch this lot.
Truly a bargain at any price and I'm kicking myself for not stocking up.
EDIT!... I just bought another one of these quads when I was back home visiting my family. This is certainly my favorite eyeshadow for everyday and each colour has its purpose. I use the light bone colour all over and often under my eye (over my bobbi brown eye brightener). I use the darker of the taupe shades for filling in my brows and the other two as lid shadows. I love them all. They last as well! I still haven't used my first quad up yet. In fact I reckon it has a few more months to go before I come close to wearing it out. Unbelievable bargain and terrific product!!

Really great eyeshadows. This quad is filled with perfect neutrals that work well as contour shades or just as washes. The staying power matches Mac on my oily lids, but it needs to be layered a bit to be very pigmented. Nevertheless, once you do, they stay pigmented, and yet look natural and seamless. Highly recommended overall. For reference, I'm NW15 with green eyes and dark brown hair, and love the darker taupe the most. EDIT: I never reach for these anymore. While I love, love, love the Quartz Quartet quad, this one just looks too sallow and yellow on me.

I was impressed with the packaging for the price and the colors are really matte but this lost lots of lippies for wear. This stuff is gone by lunch even with a shadow primer. I won't repurchase.

I'd buy this product just for the Taupe palette in this quad. I'm asian with yellow undertones (NC30-35, depending on the time of year) and the taupe looks great on my eyebrows. Really!! A lot of makeup counters always try to trick me into buying something that looks natural, but when they mean natural they mean color that matches my hair color, not my eyebrows. My brows look really light in color because the hairs are really sparse and thin. I just wanted something to match the color without making myself look too dramatic, mean, or made up. I've tried charcoal brown and espresso eye shadows for my brows by MAC. I use those if I want to look a little more sharp but prefer something that looks natural and conservative daily (I wear blush, mascara, foundation, powder, eyeliner daily so the last thing I want is fake eyebrows, too). This is really cheap, however I go through the taupe fast and am going to look for something by MAC that can match the color because their shadows are really pigmented and will probably use a lot less each use (hence, buy less frequently). The shade I'm going to try will be Omega unless the MAC associate finds a better match. Also I heard from a friend who used to work for Chanel that Taupe is almost a universal color for eyebrows. That is, it matches most people. I agree!

Bought this neutral palette after reading reviews here and I must say I am impressed. These are good, basic everyday colors and I really like the fact that they're matte since I don't like the look of frost during the day. Plus, the packaging is surprisingly well made and looks and feels fairly pricey.

My go-to eyeshadow for the office. Perfect --- subtle, blends nicely, good colors. I also have the Classic Nude quads, but I find these colors are more natural and flattering.

Very nice, very matte colors. It's so nice to get away from shimmer and glitter eyeshadows. These are very pigmented, blendable and go on smoothly. Nice for a neutral, everyday look. My first PF buy and I am quite impressed.

This is my first Physicians Formula purchase. I bought this based on a review in "Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me". The Matte Collection Quad Eye Shadow in Canyon Classic offers nice, neutral colors. Don't be put off be looking at the package. The colors look dull and a bit dirty. But they apply nicely. And you can't beat the price.
I do use an eye shadow primer underneath, but I use it with all shadows because I have oily skin. Give this quad a try, I think you will be surprised.

Edited: I will not repurchase this eyeshadow quad. When it's new the eyeshadow colors are fine and the staying power is acceptable, though not the best. But after a month of use the eye shadow would only stay on my eyelids for about an hour before turning into an oily mess. I had changed nothing and wash my eyeshadow brushes often. I have no idea why the eyeshadow did this.

This is my first PF experience and I am hooked. I look so rested and refreshed with these shadows (age 49, two teenage boys) my 17 yr old son noticed how good I looked. Now that's amazing! They are dirt cheap (40% off at Walgreen's) ends up being less than $1.00 per shadow. Wow! Run to try these great shadows. I do use the Vital Radiance eye primer underneath (another awesome product) and these shadows lsst all day long. Can't go wrong with them.

Love these matte neutral shadows - thought it was new, but I guess it was repackaged. Finally some nice matte shadows that aren't too pink. Like another reviewer, I use the bone color around the corners of my eyes, under them, and also on the lid and in the crease because my eyes are deep-set. It's the only eye shadow that has worked this well for years. I use all the other shades, mostly for my brows, but sometimes as eyeliners. I like the pewter, it makes the browns darker and more neutral. Only quad in which I use all four.

These are great... matte finish (such a welcome find) nice true pigmentation, great texture and so far thay have not given my sensitive eyes a problem. This collection is very neutral I prefer the warmer Classic Nudes palette over these for most days. But these are great as a base for other shadows or for a really clean neutral eye - good for the "too little sleep days". The darker liner shadows in these can't compete with my BB liner shadows but the other colors in the palette are great and these are really nice for travel.
