I bought this to use as a temporary foundation. I usually have nice normal-combination skin, but since getting pregnant my face is like an oil slick (hormones?), so I have found that my normal go-to foundations have been going shiny and sliding off my T-zone within a few hours of application. I highly recommend this product if you have oily skin and not much to hide as it is VERY SHEER. I have to apply a lot more of this than I would with other foundations, and dust a little bit of Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation over the top to set the liquid and give me a little more coverage. This lasted all day on me without going shiny. The other thing I love about this is the color- I usually have a lot of trouble matching foundations to my skin tone, but I purchased this in the palest shade and it matched my skin EXACTLY- I didn't even have to spend a lot of time blending into my jaw and neck as I would usually have to with other brands. The squeezy tube is great too, and the price really can't be complained about. I would buy this again during pregnancy because it gives me a cheap oil slick fixer, but after I have my baby I will be returning to my other brands.

I bought this product in asda for about £6 because my foundation had ran out and i wanted to try a new one. I applied this product the next day on a clean face, and it streaked and looked cakey. The colour made me look like i was wearing a orange mask and didnt look attractive or natural..
The packing looks cheap and i would of prefered it to be a glass container/bottle because the are more sanitary. The product price was nice and decent but i wouldnt NEVER buy this product again. <3

I rated this a three because of the way it makes may skin look after applying it. It can make your skin look slightly caky and plastered afterwards because it doesnt look very satin like. It gives good coverage though on dark circles but kind of highlights any blemishes. I like to dot the foundation round my face before blending, and i realise that it dries so quickly so once i've moved onto another section of my face, i have an orange circular patch that can't get rubbed out as it has already sunken in. The price was good though at about £4.

Even the palest shade of this is orange, and it transfers to clothes all the time! i'd definitely never buy it again, even though it is good value for money.

I got this on sale at Walgreens, and it is one of the best foundations (including high end) I have ever used. It's very hard to find colors that match my olive complexion, especially at the drugstore, but 200 is dead on for me - not too pink, not too orange. The consistency is light and pleasant, and offers medium coverage which feels just right in summer. Revlon ColorStay, my other new favorite, offers more coverage, but this is lighter, and I prefer the tube packaging.

I originally used the discontinued mousse equivalent of this foundation, so I opted for this alternative when the mousse foundation got pulled off the shelves. This foundation was pretty disappointing for me. The application leaves faint streaks on my face, and the coverage is not too impressive. It definitely is matte like the name says, but in doesn't improve the look of my skin by much. The lasting power is also lacking.

have not used much but bought because of Youtube comments.
It is matte and lasts a long time
I felt it went a bit dry and would choose Revlon Colorstay for long wear
Be aware that many stores are getting rid of these and are heavily discounted.
Many rimmel products that we use and like or love will be going away so buy an extra one if you use them.
For example many of the single shadow colors are also going away and there are some beautiful ones to grab

Walgreens was having this 50% off sale, so it was only 3.74. I had gone over this coupon that was 2 dollars off any Rimmel Stay Matte make up item, so i thought, what the heck. It's a really stylish container, which is a plus. The consistency is really easy to blend in. I would suggest using your fingers or a cosmetic sponge, a foundation/ stippling brush wouldn't exactly blend it, but leave streaks. It does give you this flawless look and my, it's beautiful. I don't have horrible skin, actually, I started wearing makeup because of my dark circles. That's my only concern, but it's a great coverage. It does tend to smear off if you touch it, which isn't a plus because I have PE and I sweat, and I'm walking around school in the hot sun. But other than that, I think it's a great foundation. I finish it off with the Rimmel bronzer, and the Rimmel stay matte powder! I only hope one day the products that Rimmel carries in the UK comes to the US!
UPDATE: I've stored this away in my DO NOT USE MAKE UP ITEMS. This makes you look cakey! I'm 15, I do not want to look like I'm wearing makeup. It's cakey, enlargens your pores, and is a big no no. Why rimmel!

I had this up on my SL for a while because I didn't like it the first couple of times I used it. I don't remember what I didn't like, but I tried it again the other day in a pinch and I am in love.
i don't see the 12 hr shine reduction promised on the tube... but i don't really need it because i'm not really that oily. The coverage is not so sheer that I am annoyed/struggling to cover a blemish, but it is not heavy either and can be built/reduced. I like to put on ample lotion first and apply my foundation while the lotion is still settling when i want less coverage, that way the moisture on my skin helps the foundation blend and move/apply easier and with less product, which equals less coverage.
i am around an NC25 depending on the season/sunshine and i have this in "soft beige" 200. The packaging is a squeeze tube which i like for sanitation issues and it is small enough to go through before it spoils! this is a valuable property of MU products for me, because i do not wear MU all day every day. and when I do wear it, I pick from a huge stash, so i never finish anything except mascara, black eyeliner, burts bees, face wash, lotion, and under eye corrector. so a lot of the time i feel like i am wasting my money on a giant chunk of product that gets wasted. in this case, it was wallet-friendly and can be used up before getting gross :)

I bought this foundation at Wal-Mart for very cheap. I wanted to purchase it because I was looking for a foundation that would stay on for a long time. Well, I was a bit dissapointed. First off, the coverage was not so great. I was expecting at least a medium coverage, but I felt like it gave the coverage of a tinted moisturizer. And it did not stay on like it claimed it would. Maybe if I used a primer & setting powder it would. So I might try that out. It's also hard to find the right shade for me. I have uneven skin tone. So the foundation might be just right for some areas of my face, but too light or dark for other parts. I'm most likely a mix of 2 shades. Overall, I don't recommend this. If you only need a light coverage, it should be fine. But other than that, I did not like the product at all. It's a good thing it was cheap!

This product gave me a crazy blistering rash around my eyes....I bought an extremely light shade despite not being all that fair, and it came out orange on my face. I really wanted to like this since it was so highly recommended by my acne-prone friends and I thought it would work well with my sensitive skin. Guess I thought wrong.

This foundation is very light, and maybe medium if you really pile it on. But I have a tendency to wear this on days when I just want something to keep my oily skin at bay for a few hours and to even out my skin tone. The color did not oxidize on me, but it also did not last past 6 hours.I do like the packaging, and the color is a close match for my NW25.

This foundation is awful! I had run out of my usual foundation and i needed to quickly go into my local superdrug and pick up a cheap one as i was going away. As I have oily skin and I have tried a few rimmel foundations before, I decided to try this one as it was on offer for £4.99.
When i got home i decided to try it out and see what it was like. I have never used anything as bad as this! It did not mattify my skin and applied streaky. It was not even worth the £4.99 that i payed and i would have rather spent my money on a more expensive one that would have actually worked.

I really like this foundation because it gives you really nice coverage without the cakiness like some foundations from MAC! I used to think that the more you pay the better the product but not this case this is absolutley wonderful! It gives a matte finish but not completley matte it gives a really pretty glow as well with still staying matte! Rimmel sells a Lasting Finish foundation as well but honestly this lasts just as long with great coverage all day.. I use the fix&perfect primer with it and that is supposed to turn orange but is honestly really nice it goes absolutley transleceunt on my skin! Enough about the primer more the foundation.. Other than it is perfect coverage and matteness it is long lasting and natural looking on a dailey basis, also it is very affordable! Walgreens and drugstores always have sales so you can get it for a discount price. A discount price it already is for this quality! Go follow me on my twitter at Littlemisslolli2 and subscribe to my youtube beautymetwilight123.. Muah!! <3 U!

hate hate HATE this product! such a waste of money!
the coverage was crap, really light and sheer, NO covering of spots, redness etc yet still managed to turn me orange.
it deffinitely didnt keep my skin matte, after about an hour i was a blotchy, shiney, orange mess
the colours are really bad too. theres a small colour range and the product oxidises throughout the day, some parts orange, some parts lighter resulting in a REALLY uneven complexion
another flaw is that it made my face really uncomfortable, itchy and tight and by the end of the day i couldnt wait to take it off. its also in my opinion harder to apply than revlon colour stay. its really difficult to work with and blend.
oh by the way did i mention it BROKE ME OUT?

I bought this product because I am a huge fan of Rimmel's Recover foundation, however Recover's illuminating property (i.e. the glitter) limits my use of this product to night-time in order to avoid the Edward Cullen-look in direct sunlight.
Stay Matte, on the other hand, was a MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT!!
The shade 200 Soft Beige was a perfect match for my skin tone, however I found the formula very difficult to work with. I must have needed to work much faster because the product would not glide across my skin, and I always use a primer underneath. The finish was patchy and the product oxidized and became cakey after a few hours. It looked so horrible that I couldn't wait to get home and wash it off!! Too pricey at AU$16 for such a rubbish product...

Okay, here's my general advice. Get this foundation if you are looking for a light coverage and do not need to coverage up spots or redness. Otherwise, this probably isn't for you.
What I did like is that this foundation didn't feel cakey or heavy whilst on due to it's very light coverage. However, I need a thicker coverage to cover spots so this wasn't the best foundation for me.
This foundation can be very hard to spread out and other people have told me they have looked patchy and needed two coats. I'm not sure if the foundation is as long lasting as it claims to be, it's such a light coverage and by the end of the day looks like it's gone.
I might use this in the summer when I go on holiday because it will be perfect for when I just want a light coverage but for general day-to-day, this isn't good for me.

My shade is Sand and it was a match, thankfully. The product is fairly light on the skin and it has good staying power. It does stay matte for most of the day needing only a touch or two for my t-zones but it's okay. I live in a tropical country where humidity is an everyday fact of life so this product did quite well.

I did not care for this product at all. I purchased it last summer, and personally there was nothing 'matte' about it. I have alot of oil and redness on my skin and this did not keep me matte whatsoever no to mention broke me out. I got it for 75% off at my local CVS, and I totally get why it was on sale.
