This is really nice on its own and as a base! The consistency is quite thick and dry but it still applies well and holds up very long on the eyes. Lasts all day, doesn't crease, blends easily AND it's affordable so definitely worth it!! Not sure about the colour selection though, I wish they had more neutrals and mattes :)

Texture is funky, it feels like I'm applying cream eyeliner to my whole lid.

maybelline color tattoo is the only eye shadow i like. i was always an eyeliner person, and any shadow i got was cheap crappy powder, with and without shimmer, and i was never happy with the way it looked, felt, or faded my eyeliner with its dust. never tried any other way, like eyeshadow sticks, but i just figured since they are chubby i wouldn't be able to put it right above my eyeliner (note--when i say eyeliner i mean a thick cat eye thing i do with the mac gel eyeliner in the pot). i didn't want to get any of the eyeliner on top the pencil tip. thus, me giving up on eyeshadows altogether. i'm not a pro with makeup colors, i'd rather conceal and apply foundation to my face to make it all one color, apply eyeliner, then apply chapstick! very basic. oh maybelline mega plush mascara also. lately been doing a dark wine color on the lip for fall. but that just happened a day ago, so i'm obsessed with this specific look right now. anyway, i tried tattoo right when it came out. i wanted to see if the color was true. to my surprise it felt amazing, it stayed on, and EVERY color looked so good somehow. even the orange and orange is never a color near me. i had a bad habit back then though and never could actually buy anything. i didn't pay today, but hey, it was already unwrapped and only tried once.. anyways, grey is my favorite "color", always has been, and i use an estee lauder blending shadow brush to apply. i use like nothing to get the look i want. will last a long time i imagine. if i have a dark lip, i like to make a bit of a smokey eye. if i'm just using chapstick i can cover the eyelid in seconds and it's bold yet blends if you want it to. i really wish they would create a million different colors with this formula. it is perfection. also what's great about the grey is, to me, when i have a chapstick lip, it kind of looks like it's a color in the purple family. i remember a long time ago i bought two mac eyeshadows, one was a bold violet color, and unfortunately i looked like a streetwalker. both colors had gone back. i never got purple again. but this grey is a nice play towards it. please maybelline make more colors of these i don't wanna have to look elsewhere for colors you don't have! p.s. i gave the packaging a 4 because the parts the stickers are placed makes them look switched around. i kept opening it and the pot was facing towards the floor. and now when i set it in the right direction i see no color, just an all-black cap with an annoying label.

Best eyeshadow I have ever purchased. I now have 7 of the 10 permanent colors (Fierce & Tangy, Paint Me Purple, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald, Pomegranate Pink, Audacious Asphalt & Bad to the Bronze). I love them all. I really like that I can mix them up and create unique looks and I love how I don't have to put anything underneath them, some days I don't even need eye liner! Lasts all day, no creases, easy to wash off at the end of the day, you can choose your intensity with applications. L.O.V.E. IT! Incase some of you are wondering, here is some ideas to spice it up...
*Bronze with Pink along the upper lash line
*Orange with Purple along the upper lash line (Halloween-inspired)
*Teal with Asphalt along upper lash line
*Emerald with Teal along upper lash line
To create a super smokey eye try these colors with Maybelline Eyestudio's Color Plush Eyeshadow in Smoky Night, although pretty dark all together, can create the best (and easiest) smoky eye.
*Pomegranate Pink with the lightest shade (dark, shimmery pink)
*Paint Me Purple with purplish shade (also dark & shimmery)
*Tenacious Teal with dark blue shimmery shade
*Audacious Asphalt with shimmery black shade
These powder eyeshadows are VERY pigmented so use little bits at a time, start on the outer corner and work it into your crease and upper lash line, apply pencil eyeliner and smudge eyeliner gently into eyeshadow = PERFECT SMOKY EYE!

I had given up on cream shadows a long time ago - they would always crease and did not have any staying power (at least the ones that I tried). When I saw the color tattoo product, I was a bit skeptical - however, I purchased the Too Cool shade and so glad that I did! I put it on my lids, and it stays in place all day long. When applied to my lids, it also gives my eyeliner more staying power. It is a little bit difficult to blend (at least for me), but after some practice, it gets easier. Overall, it is a great product. I highly recommend it.

These colors are gorgeous and high impact (I have Painted Purple, Tenacious Teal and Edgy Emerald). There is a decent amount in the there and I do like how it comes in a jar with a nice big lid. You get an accurate idea of the colors before you buy, and they really deliver. My only issue is that you do have to be generous with the application, which could be ok in the way that at least you can choose the intensity, but I feel like you have to go full force or nothing with these. Just wearing a thin layer doesn't really look right. They also are extremely hard to blend, and I like to wear more than one color at a time. That being said, they are worth buying if you want an intense look. Oh, and it will last forever. They mean it when they say 24 color tattoo. And crease? What creases! This product made me forget that creams used to crease.

I have all the permanent and limited edition colors. I must say, I AM IN LOVE!!! I snatched up the perms when they were buy 2 get 1 free at Ulta, and the limited editions were regular price. These are an AWESOME alternative to MAC Paint Pots, and cheaper to boot! I would love to see more colors: Yellow, Pink, Matte White, etc...
The only color I really think that is worth skipping is PAINTED PURPLE. I could not get that damn thing to work for the life of me. Patchy, uneven, and sheer. Its a shame because it was one of the colors I was most excited for. Aside from that rogue color, the line is a definite must! Packaging could be improved if they were to add the color to the bottom of the jar, in case lids get switched around.

Fabulous. I have this in barely beige it is slightly darker than my NW15 skin tone and slightly shimmery, though no big glitter pieces. I use this primarily as an eyeshadow primer, it makes my eyeshadow last all. day. without fading. Incredible. Since it's such an easy, subtle shade I also wear it alone w/ just mascara on lazy days to look just a little more "polished" :)

I have never been a huge cream eyeshadow fan, and rarely find these wearable alone. But the colors are great, and applied enthusiastically, are well pigmented. I find the metal colors (bronze and gold) to be smoother than the others, but they are all very good bases for powder shadows. And far and away better than any drug store beginnings of the kind.

FAVORITE EYESHADOW EVER!
So pigmented and lasts ALL day. I use it under my regular eyeshadow and it really enhances the color of the shadow and keeps it in place until I take it off. And the fact that it's only $6 makes it even more fabulous. I have tried other high end cream shadows and none of them are as great as this one!

I have these in Too Cool, Barely Beige, and Bad To The Bronze. I like to use them alone when Im in a hurry, but they are great as base when I have more time. I wish they would make more of these in a matte finish.

I bought a couple of these a week ago and plan on going back to Target for more colors tomorrow. They're really wonderful, I can't wait until they expand the color line a bit. These last a very long day, you can put it on heavy and opaque quickly but it can also be smudged out for a lighter look (must do this quickly as once it dries its there to stay). It lasts the full work day, minimal to no creasing, and no smudging once it dries. You can't beat the price eather, under 6$ a pot at Target, and I imagine the pot will last for a very long time. I really can't wait to get my hand on more of these, and hope they soon expand the color choices.

Although I haven't gotten a chance to buy this product yet, I've heard many great things about it.
My friend put on the eye shadow for school one day, took a shower, went to sleep, wore it to school again, went to an incredibly sweaty concert, and then slept in it again. After all of these events, it still looked flawless without touching it up even once!
I am being 100% serious. I was there to witness the whole thing. It was just as pigmented and creaseless as the minute she applied it!
I would highly recommend it.

I have always had a problem finding the best long lasting eyeshadow due to my very oily acne prone skin and nothing worked until now.
This doesn't fade or melt on my eyelids which is perfect considering I live in a very hot climate. I don't have to do any kind of touch ups just apply it once and your ready to go. My only downfall is the color selection I wish they had more to choose from. But other than that this product is the best ever.

This product is amazing! I apply it on my lid with my ring finger, and then apply it to my crease using an ELF crease brush. When this product is blended it out, it almost looks like I am wearing two different products on my eye. To make my eyes a little more dramatic for evenings, I apply Bad to the Bronze to my lower lash line with a gel liner brush. The look is smoldering but approachable, and I always get complimented for it. This makes my morning makeup routine much quicker, which is always a bonus for us gals on the go. You don't even need a primer with this product because it will truly last a 6-8 hour day with no creasing or fading. My only complaint about this product is that it does not come in more neutral or "work friendly" colors.

I have two of these eyeshadows: in bad to the bronze and tough as taupe. These are great eyeshadows! Super easy to apply (with either a brush or your finger). They have great staying power, and only need a primer if I'm being super active (which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, because it'd be nice if they stayed without primer). I wish they had more neutrals, actually more shades in general. But these are definitely my favorite eyeshadows ever.

I have this shadow in tough as taupe, pomegranate punk, and bold gold. The colour is very pigmented and lasts and lasts. The shimmery ones go on super easy and smooth, though the matte taupe is a little difficult to work with.

I really love these eye shadows. They have such great colors, but definitely need more shades. I'd really like to see some soft nudes, corals, etc. The packaging is great, and really couldn't get any better. They blend very easy, buildable, highly pigmented and are nicely textured. I can't wait until more shades come out, which I hope they do, and plan on buying more!

I have...6 of these. I have 4 from the core (Tough as Taupe, Too Cool, [purple] and Audacious Asphalt) and 2 from Fall Runway (Mossy Green, Gold Shimmer). I only own one MAC paint pot (Morning Frost from 2011 Glitter and Ice) but the quality is amazing.
There is nothing to dislike about these. They have a multitude of uses. I have used them alone (no powder, just two colors--lid and crease), as a base for other similar tones (the white is great under almost any color, Tough as Taupe is great under Satin Taupe). I never use a brush to apply (not a professional) and have always had great, smooth results with no creasing. I don't use any other primer on my eye when I use these cuz I know they're good to go.
If you can find a deal, it's even better, but even at full retail ($6.69 at Rite Aid in Oregon), they're a tremendous bargain and worth checking out.
I also dislike Maybelline for animal testing but I do make an exception for this one product.
