Like some of the other reviewers, this cleanser reminded me of Cetaphil. It has that milky white "color" and has no noticeable fragrance. It's a goopy kind of liquid and doesn't foam. With these initial first impressions, I was skeptical (because Cetaphil absolutely did not work for me). It didn't cause any weird skin reactions so I continued using it for a few days. I had a generous sample of this cleanser which I used with (the similarly-generous sample of) the calendula toner. I was VERY pleased with the results. The combination of this cleanser with the calendula toner is wonderful - my skin is clean and smooth, not dried out, breakouts have subsided...what a pleasant surprise! I plan to repurchase full sizes of the cleanser and toner and will update my reviews when I have a chance to use them over a couple of months...

I love this stuff, but then again, I love Cetaphil. This is fantastically like Cetaphil, but more emollient and less slimy--I make my HG sound great, don't I? This product goes on smoothly, cleanses very well, doesn't leave a speck of makeup, dirt, or oil behind, and gently moisturizes my skin. I keep a running rotation of this and Cetaphil, interspersed with some Purpose.

Really gentle. I didn't feel dry even without using moisturizer after cleasing with this product. However, it's hard to rinse. I always felt something left on my face :( So, won't buy it again.

Well, I am very confuse about this product when I first use it because of the word " Foaming" in the label. IT DOESNT FORM! But I decided to give it another try and I found it is not bad. At least leave my combination skin very soft and smooth. I agree it is a expensive version of cetaphil but it does remove make up which cetaphil cant~

This cleanser is good for those with normal/dry skin. It leaves your skin very soft. Agree with previous post on its makeup-removing ability, which is kinda low. It does not foam but it does not bother me since I can work with non-foaming cleanser.

Does not foam. HOWEVER- if you follow the directions- apply with clean fingertips (NO WATER YET) and remove using a damp washcloth, splash of water, you are left with DEWY, SUPER SOFT skin. May require two applications to get stubborn makeup off. Doesn't get eye makeup off but you should be taking that off separately anyway honeys! My face was soft as a baby's butt after using this. I waited a few minutes then used a light application of the panthenol moisturizer and woke up with soft skin. Just splashed with water in the morning and was good to apply makeup. My skin is super senstive, prone to redness, on accutane, prone to flakes.

This is a great gentle foaming cleanser. Doesn't have a fragrance, which I love. Also, it didn't dry out my skin. Great product.

I wouldn't recommend buying this product. It doesn't cleanse very well and it doesn't even foam. Don't waste your money on this b/c it doesn't really cleanse your skin. There are many other better products out there that actually work. Right now I like to use Mary Kay Velocity. It works really well but I will probably try something else when I run out of that!

This cleanser is very gentle and felt nice on my slightly dry, sensitive skin, but it didn't cleanse well at all. I didn't expect it to remove my eye make-up or anything, but it didn't even completely remove a light layer of foundation that hadn't been touched up for hours! If you have dry skin and don't wear foundation this might be a good choice; otherwise, it's just not strong enough.

Gentle? Yes. Foaming? No. Cleanser? No. Doesn't clean at all. Probably the water I used to rinse my face does more than this "cleanser."

This was just ok. It is very deceptivly named, as it didn't foam at all! It is milky, but didn't take off make up very well. I guess if you wear no makeup it might be ok, but I don't think it is very good for those of us here on MUA ;)

I tried this product because of all the written and word of mouth reviews about Kiehls. I have sensitive combination skin that tends to be adversely affected by seasonal weather change. I am always on the look out for foaming cleansers that are not too astringent. My skin turns red with dry patches if a product is too astringent, while at the same time if a product is too mild (like Cetaphil) I don't feel clean. This product does not foam which was a disappointment. It leaves my skin smooth w/o redness or irritation, but I find that I either have to use a makeup remover prior to using this product and/or a toner afterwards to get a truly clean face. I am still searching for the right cleanser.

This is one of my HG cleansers. Although I have normal/combo skin, prone to clogged pores this cleanser offers just the right amount of clean without stripping. The Non-Detergent Foaming cleanser was much too harsh for me. I use this as well as PC one step normal/dry.

Yep I do like this one! Though this is an early review as I've only used it 4 times so far! A really slippery, creamy cleanser that is great value for money as u only need a tiny bit. It removes ALL my make-up and doesn't sting eyes. If you use a bit more (like 5p size) it sort of lathers, in a creamy way, but I have found u don't need that much. I'm a happy customer, not least because the SA gave me a 29ml sample of the ultra facial moisturiser SPF15- very generous! If only all companies threw in extras...
Update: I have been using this every PM and most mornings and have had no irritation at all! I can't believe how well it cleans for such a lotion-like product. I really recommend it. It has almond oil, apricot oil and aloe vera in too...PS. Beats the pants off La Prairie de-sensitizing cleansing emulsion. ADDING: I am sure this would have a great rating if it wasn't for all those people disappointed it doesn't *foam*. Which tells me Kiehl's should change the name! (And people should talk to SA's before they buy ;0))

I have to agree with user KKDALLAS when she said "I was not *wowed* by it but I was not disappointed either." I have dry skin and wear makeup. Its good for the dryness, but needs two applications for taking the makeup off. Also, there is definitely NO foaming action going on with this product. I will not buy again, but will continue to search for my HG.

This stuff was ok but it didn't get my face as clean as I would like. It didn't really foam up all that much either. It did smell ok. There's better out there for cheaper.

I absolutely love this stuff. I only need about a pea-sized amount for each use, and my skin always feels so smooth and silky after washing. This effectively takes off my makeup and I like the light scent and creamy texture of the wash. This doesn't strip or dry my face. Everything I could ask for in a cleanser!

This stuff left some kind of filmy greasy stuff on my skin and didn't clean too well. I was pretty disappointed.

I love this product. I have very dry skin and I've tried just about everything. Altough it dosen't remove all of my makeup (I do use the cumcumber herbal astrg. with it) it does take all the "bad" oil off of my skin. I've been using it about 3 weeks and it's made a world of difference in my skin. Altough this product is called foaming face cleaners- it dosen't foam, it's consistence is more like that of lotion going on. I will use this as long as I can get it.
