This is an amazingly sexy scent. In the bottle it smells a little odd. When I first tested it I did not like it, but after about 30 minutes of wear I was in LOVE. You really need to give Black Orchid a little time to smell amazing. I use very little (it is a little strong) so i do not have a problem with the price. It also has amazing lasting power. When I wear Black Orchid I feel like a sexy, strong, and refined woman. I get a lot of compliments from men when I wear it - my boyfriend thinks it smells amazing. It is slightly masculine, but not quite masculine enough to be a mens fragrance.

Ah, Black Orchid! I'm uneducated when it comes to fragrances. I know nothing about perfume and I find top notes, middle notes, etc to be confusing. However, I do know if a scent pleases my nose. Black Orchid to me smelled horribly unpleasant at first spritz. It just smelled so strong. I can't describe the scent, but it was almost like a super strong pine scent. After hearing great things about this scent I admit I was a little disappointed. I kept walking around the mall. When I smelled my wrist again I started to notice a more pleasant smell. It's not a sweet scent but it smelled very sophisticated and womanly if that makes sense. When I got home I had my fiancée smell me wrists (I spritzed White Patchouli on my other wrist) & said he loved the way Black Orchid smelled. I definitely plan on buying the full bottle but for now ive been using a sample. I love the dry down & one spritz is really all I need. Smells sexy and feminine!

Wow - what a gorgeous, deep fragrance. I haven't yet bought a bottle of this but received a free sample and it is absolutely beautiful. Deep, dark and sexy, for me it just seems the perfect winter fragrance; it sounds over the top but I honestly couldn't stop smelling this! I'm asking for this for Christmas - I think it will become my new HG for winter, and Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP for summer.

I tried this scent some years back when it was first introduced, but I wasn't impressed. I recently revisited, and fell in love. At first spritz, I was thinking this would be too flowery, although it was deep and dark, which I like...I just don't like overtly floral feminine girly scents. However, after it settled and mixed with my chemistry...magic! It mellowed into an awesome deep musk with vanilla, incense and a dark succulent floral that must be the orchid, There is also a touch of wood, or possibly patch...hard to tell. But the resulting scent was sexy, musky, dark, deep and mysterious. It's not as loud as say, Chanel Coco or Obsession...but more like a sexy throaty whisper...a lighter oriental if you will. I ordered a bottle last night. This will be a great winter scent, and can probably be worn in summer...I mixed some with Narciso Rodriguez Musc intense, and I was in heaven. Might be HG/Signature territory,
