I absolutely love this oil! The smell is amazing. This oil is not as thick as the Moroccan Oil and therefore can be put it your hair easily wet or dry. Whereas the Moroccan oil if you put it in your hair when it was dry it became sort of oily and matted. This is perfect for my hair. I get better results from this than I did with the Moroccan oil. I alternate with this and I use the L'Oreal Absolut Repair serum about twice a week. This is a great oil for the ends of your hair.

Gosh I love this stuff. I've got the spray product too, which is nice for touch-ups and adding overall shine. Anyway, I rub about a quarter sized amount into the ends and mid-shaft of my hair right before getting out of the shower after I've squeezed the excess water from it and wait a few moments to dry off before I comb it in. That way it has time to sink in. Considering how much I'm using on my fine-textured hair, you'd expect it to be a total grease ball, but somehow my hair just soaks it all up. I comb it through, let my hair air-dry, and enjoy the feeling of extra soft and shiny hair. I absolutely love the smell of this, too. I'm not sure which smell I love more, this oil or the Morrocanoil/One 'N Only Argan Oil smell, but it's soooo good I find myself using the spray healing oil on my arms as a perfume throughout the day.
Anyways, using this product to such an extent, I've experienced no build-up, just a dramatic decrease in split ends and increase in the overall health of my hair. So I highly recommend this product. It may not work for everyone but it's done wonders for me. I only wish it weren't so expensive. I took a few points off of my rating for that reason. If you want to try it though, Ulta has a sample bottle of it for only a few dollars.

I've hated so many other hair products because they promise so much and deliver nothing but a lighter wallet. This oil smells divine and if you only use on your ends, it doesn't get greasy or buildup. It smooths my ends and feels so soft and smooth....literally no more bad hair days!!!

I have not reviewed anything in ages, but this product inspired me so I had to leave a review! I have super long (almost to my waist now) wavy hair that is damaged from being color-treated for years and years. I have searched far and wide for a product that would infuse my ends with moisture. I've tried at least 25 top of the line products, and nothing has worked even remotely as well as macadamia oil.
Let me just say first that I *abhor* the smell of this product. For that reason, I rub it into my ends before I shampoo, then shampoo my scalp and rinse the shampoo out, then apply a yummy-smelling conditioner on top of the oil to kill off the smell a bit. After using this product for about a month (half the bottle), last night I styled my hair for the first time. Usually when I blow-dry my hair, my ends look like a puffy mess that nothing will fix. However, this time, they were soft, silky, healthy-looking and feeling and manageable - nothing short of amazing! I will buy this product over and over again, because it's the ONLY thing I've found that has truly worked. I can even forgive the frightful smell, because all of my expensive, nice-smelling products have not done a thing compared to this.

This, along with the other Macadamia hair products, is soo good! I use it after getting out of the shower, and it gives my hair a very shiny, smooth, and healthy effect. Not greasy at all! My hair is always frizzy, and this product helps it "tone down" a lot. I've been going without my straightener since October (because of how damaged my hair has become), and I've been feeling super anxious about it. This product has helped my hair become nicer, and has also boost my self-confidence. 5/5.

This stuff is great. It smells amazing.I wasn't impressed by it though.it made my hair shiny and smell good but didn't do much for moisturizing and it weighed my hair down.i did love mixing it with the deep conditioner from this line which would be the only reason I'd repurchase but I'm not really a fan of anything in this line except the deep conditioner :(

I love this product! It smells so divine and a little goes such a long way.
It protects my hair brilliantly against heat styling and does wonders after it's dry to keep down fly aways and keep my hair looking neat.
I'm still on my first but I will repurchase, it's lasting so well. I always use this when heat styling now. The only fault is the glass bottle makes it not totally ideal for travelling but I love that you can lock the pump closed again. I highly recommend - but remember less is best!

Amazing. I saw all the youtube gurus raving about this but since none of those girls have my type of hair (wavy, extremely frizzy) I didn't run to try it out. I did try the mask and it was alright but the results were underwhelming. They were selling small jars at Ulta so I decided to pick it up. Best. Decision. Ever.
It smells divine, doesn't way hair down or make it greasy and it makes my hair so soft! I can use this after mousse and instead of having crunchy curly I have soft waves. I only use it on my ends though.

To all of my Girlfriends out there - Thank you! I thought this was going to be one of those overhyped whatever products that would make my hair greasy. Moroccan oil, argan oil, all natural oils - they all make my hair greasy even though I am sure they might be helping with the long term health of my hair. But my hair would look horrible while using them. Anyway, I finally spent the money on this stuff. I got the small bottle at CVS for about 13 dollars. The large one was almost 35 dollars. I also picked up a sample packet of the mask from the same line. I have tried every other mask on the market including Kerastase, nuetrogena, it's a 10 (still one of my favorites!). Each of them definitely helped in different ways, but most of them would make my hair too soft and fly away and I would lose my natural wave. They just seemed to change my hair texture TOO much and I would just not be able to style it properly.
I mixed some of the Macadamia Healing Oil with a little of the Macadamia mask and put it in my DRY hair last night and put my hair in a bun (my hair is highlighted, damaged and layered). I was not in the mood to go to bed with wet hair - way too cold in our house! I rinsed it our this morning and did not rewash my hair. I have no plans today so I figured if it was greasy I could just wash it later. I towel dried my hair and then put about a dime size amount of the oil in my hair - mostly on the friend ends. You would think that my hair would be weighed down and greasy looking, but NO! It feels and looks like my hair used to feel! I am so amazed b/c I am such a product junkie that I rarely am ever really blown away by any product and I usually like to use all natural products which this is not. I am usually so let down by the stuff that I buy. Not with this. I let my hair mostly air dry and then blew dry it with a round brush. My hair is soft, shiny and full - really?! I can't believe it. I looked at one of the other reviews that said that after a few months of use it dried out her hair. I will update if that happens. For now, I may only be using this until these stupid looking short layers grow out. I really am afraid to wash my hair b/c this is the best it has looked and felt in so many months. I just had to sit down and review this so maybe it would help someone else out there. I know I rely on all of the reviews here and would not have purchased this if not for my trusty friends - thanks!

A hairdresser friend gave me some of this to try, as he knew how much trouble I get from my fine, curly hair (especially when the weather is damp - don't even ask!).
I use a little of this on dry hair when I need to restyle, and it sinks in beautifully, eliminating frizz without the slightly greasy/ oily look that other heavier products or hairsprays can leave, and believe me, I've tried most things on the market!
A little lasted me a good 6-9 months, so needless to say, I've just repurchased - well worth the investment, in my opinion.

I won't give you the shampoo commercial spiel about how wonderfully luscious my locks became using this product. I will just tell you how people reacted to the results. The day after I used it three random people (one of which is a middle aged, grumpy man with no interest in beauty or women's hair) did double takes and then stroked my hair while cooing words of admiration. Enough said!

The smell of this is divine and completely addictive! I've been using this for a month and so far am really pleased with the results. I've used this on both wet and dry hair without any problems. It leaves my hair feeling super soft and shiny, which I love as my hair is usually quite dry and dull looking. The oil absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a residue. I like the pump dispenser and a tiny amount goes a long way.

I only purchased a small sample of this to try, and I can honestly say that I am liking this better than my Moroccan oil. It doesn't make my neck break out and it seems to absorb better. Definately works nice before a blow dry. I will likely purchase a full size bottle. A little seems to go a long way for me.

If you are fed up with dry, frizzy, damaged over processed hair look no further. The natural oils in this will restore lustre and shine to dull, frizzy hair. I also got the deep repair hair mask from the Macadamia line and after two times using these products, my hair is starting to look healthy, bouncy and soft to touch. You only need a little amount - about a quarter size for thick hair. It absorbs right into the strands leaving no oily residue behind. The smell is yummy, reminds me of a beautiful tropical island or a delicious margarita on a hot day. And the best part is it really Works. Highly recommend!

14 Jan 2011 UPDATED REVIEW:
I've updated this review as I’ve now been using the product for quite a few months now and have found some cons I want to share and have dropped the rating of this product to reflect those.
Cons:
- This product seems to build up like crazy in my hair and I only ever use it on dry hair, because....
- If I use this on wet hair it no longer seems to evaporate like it used to and instead makes my hair quite oily and greasy looking. I can no longer use it any where near my scalp like I originally did. I think this can all be attributed to the build up problem.
- I suspect using the oil on wet hair was drying my hair out somehow. It started to feel quite crispy after 3-4 months and that’s exactly what I didn’t want to happen!
Pros:
- Excellent styling and glossing product, I curl my hair almost every day (cold, dry curl – no heat used at all) and on the first curl after a wash I like to take a half pump of this and use it to add shine and define the curl. In fact, other than when I mix it in my treatment, this is the only way I use the oil now.
- The smell is heavenly. When it first goes on it smells exactly like Lynx Marine body spray (I think it's now Axe Marine). Anyway, I was obsessed with Marine as a teenager in the 90s. As the smell wears away it leaves a light, gorgeous floral, almost nutty scent in your hair.
- Still love to mix it into my Macadamia natural oil mask, but only do this maybe once every fortnight rather than once a week like before as I find that the mask also is not performing like it once did...
- When applied sparingly to clean, totally dry hair, it absorbs completely in and doesn’t leave hair looking greasy (note - despite the name this is not a fully natural product and has been engineered to absorb easily).
In all I think I’m going to switch to pure Argan oil just to see it that works out better for me (though I’m really going to miss the smell of this). I may repurchase this just to use with my Macadamia Natural Oil mask, but we'll see how that goes.

I have recently tried this line, reluctantly, since I wasn't too happy with the Moroccan Oil line, and I'm impressed. I have the shampoo, leave-in cream, and this oil, and the oil is definitely the show stopper!
I bought the small size bottle, because the SA at Trade Secrets was raving about it, and I applied it on dry hair as soon as I got home. The first thing I noticed was the yummy scent, I thought it was even better than the MO (which I also like). Secondly, I liked the way it made my hair feel and look - shiny and soft and healthier!
I also tried it on damp hair, mixed with the leave-in cream, and the combo works great for my thin, heavily highlighted to light blonde hair (which I also heat style once/week so it's not that healthy).
For me, this Oil acts like a glossing moisturizer, I can't say enough good things about it! I will most definitely purchase the full size once I'm done with my small bottle.
