Oh... my... gosh... this perfume
is EVERYTHING I've been looking for! I am in love with it. I really like powdery perfumes, and I too have been on the hunt for my signature scent for a very long time. I have been through all of the great Chanels and Guerlains like many others have on here, but this perfume far surpasses them all. It is BEAUTIFUL! Very, very soft and subtle, yet very captivating and unique at the same time. It is so pretty and sophisticated, without being too mature and "old ladyish". I am VERY confident that after searching for so long, I have finally found my signature. Thank god they came out with this! It's as if they made it for me. PLEASE do not be alarmed by the price. It is without a doubt expensive, but ABSOLUTELY worth it! If you are looking for a light, powdery, unique perfume... GET THIS!!!! :)

This fragrance will be a classic. Absolutely lovely, feminine, soft, yet long-lasting, & memorable. It's going to be my signature fragrance for a very long time, if not for always... and I've done my searching through more bottles of Chanel, Dior, & Guerlain than I cared to admit.

Any former Tova fragrance lover in mourning needs to try Love, Chloe. I cannot believe how similar it is to Tova before the tragic QVC assimilation that robbed that fragrance of every molecule of beauty it once possessed.

Love, Chloe is gorgeous.

Initially intended on buying the Chloe EDT because I wasn't too impressed with the smell of Love, Chloe from the bottle or on the blotter. It smelled entirely too powdery and old lady-ish. Upon recommendation from a sales associate, I tested it on my skin and boy did my view on this change!

It warmed up and it's just this sensual scent that I just can't get enough of. I'm usually one who gravitates towards sweet, girly scents and this is just the perfect perfume that is mature but still young at heart.

By the way, I purchased the 50 ml. and it's the perfect size for my purse. I love the fact that the cap is chained to the bottle because with other perfumes the cap always gets lost and results in unwanted spritzes and wasted product. So, kudos to the cute and intelligent packaging.

Yes, it's more powder than flowers. But it's not the sort of powderiness that will make you smell like a granny or a baby's bum. There's nothing sharp or synthetic about it. It smells like really good quality make-up with some lovely lilac and orange blossom. Love, Chloe isn't loud or harsh or attention-seeking. It whispers sophistication rather than shouts it. Just my kind of fragrance.

Notes: orange blossom, pink pepper, iris absolute, lilac, hyacinth, wisteria blossom, heliotropine, powdery musks, talc and rice powder.

Very feminine and sophisticated smell. Im the type of person who doesnt react well to perfume. When i first sprayed love chloe to my skin i didnt particularly love it as its too powdery for me but after half and hour or so it started to tone down and it smelled clean, soapy, fresh, warm and gorgeous on my skin. Finally i have found the one that reacts really well with my bodu chemistry. Its long lasting too. Love love love LOVE CHLOE!

I got this because Chloe 2008 is a fragrance for lifetime, reviews here were great and the first snif on the counter felt great. Ended up buying it on line for a fraction of the price that it'd cost me on the counter (it is pricey!).
It is powdery, it does reminds of HE cosmetics scent specially pressed powder. It also reminds me of the smell of when you snif the inside of a cigar pack, also reminds me of roasted chestnuts. Yep all of this.
It is a very elegant perfume I should say, proper for grown up ones and perfect for work environment. I wouldn't call it sexy.
The bottle is the most beautiful one I've ever seen, I feel really fancy pulling it out of my purse LOL.
I may get tired of it eventually because it is so powdery. Therefore I won't probably buy it again.

Out of the woods. That's what I've been looking for. Tired of woody, cedar-y incens-y scents i've been craving clean soapy powder. Something which I can wear to work on days when Chanel 19 is too angry, Caleche is too racy, and No 5 is too vavavoom. Reading the description of Love, Chloe as inspired by Coty's airspun powder, I hoofed it over to Saks to try some. Initially, the opening is indeed powdery, but without any touch of vanilla or sweetener. There is reminiscence of YSL's Paris and Balenciaga's Le Dix in the overall sense of primness and prettiness. I wish more of the iris present in the first wet blast came out to play longer. In many ways this is an "almost" scent. There are enough facets of it that I really like and it's almost "there", but not quite.
This is not a scent for butch days. This is the scent of pretty, clean, girly, and, well- yes- boring young maidens. The thing is, the initial blast is the part I really really like. It has no cloying aldehydes in it, no hit-you-over-the-head violet of Lipstick Rose. It's soft but definitely has a backbone. No, it's not perfume mastery, but it totally fits the bill for that clean, put-together, work-appropriate scent.
However, very quickly the heart of Love, Chloe appears. And it's - you guessed it - Chloe. The hyacinth/rose screechiness that sent me running away from my first whiff and won it the disdain of Luca Turin and Chandler Burr appears and really stays for the duration, although it is toned down a bit by the reformulation. But can I blame a Chloe flanker for smelling like Chloe? Really, no. And there is still enough of that clean/freshly-washed character in there that a small bottle may find its way in the rotation. Lasting power is excellent and sillage is quite decent.

After testing for a week, I'll have to pass on Love, Chloe. I'm disappointed, because I loved everything I saw before actually trying the juice - the ad campaign, the bottle, and the notes (face-powdery floral with rice). I was ready to buy unsniffed, but after living with a couple of samples through the week, it just isn't enough. The top notes are fresh and sweet, falling gently into the powder - but then the heart and basenotes all muddle into slightly sharp soap on my skin; almost shampoo-ey. Pleasant for someone else, unfortunately not me!

For some reason, the new chloe range does not work on me. Likewise, this one does not flourish on my skin, neither does it have good lasting power considering the high price it's sold for in my country. However, if it worked it could be the ultimate point of inoffensive chic. I believe this can be a very wearable all-year-round scent for those whose chemistry interacts with it better. I guess it will appeal to many fellow fragrance lovers and for this, it gets an extra point from me.

My personal experience: Flower and powder, on me more flower than powder until the drydown when its powder kept in a moist bathroom and then yes, good old makeup powder, bag whatever. Rice/steam is a note that I love, but it diasppoints in that regard, as well. The bottle is way more appealing than the scent itself. Sadly, I'll have to pass.

I bought the biggest bottle (75 ml) but I don't regret a single bit. I was looking for a fragrance for winter - something powdery yet with a hint of floral in it. And this is the perfect one. It is how I imagined how the new Balenciaga perfume should have been.

The bottle is so elegant and the colours are so lovely. It doesn't take up a lot of space in traveling either. The scent is long-lasting, but it doesn't scream out loud at you. It's subtle and sophisticated, but it's always there.

I have been wearing it everyday since I bought it. Sometimes I pair it with Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet. That scent is not as long-lasting, so it kind of adds a lovely floral top to it.

The fragrance represents the name ( or the other way roud maybe) , when I smell this I just think of loveeee:).. errr ok so it's very fiminine, soft and powdery. At first the smell is subtle but gradually it gets bit more intense. The way it smells on the skin is very different to the way it smells on little test paper things . lovely chic bottle too.

This new fragrance by Chloe' called Love is liquid gold. It is like seeing a splendid radiance and sparkle of a perfume bottle filled with diamonds, rubys, and sapphires. Love is a true make-up bag fragrance. But not just any makeup. Love smells like the most high-end creamy lipsticks, eye shadow, mascara, foundation, and powders. It is long lasting and gives a wonderful scent trail. Love is literally a princess' makeup bag. I like to imagine walking into a gleaming, Cinderella type castle that manufacters the most sought after, expensive, high-end cosmetics in the entire world. The women and men who are mixing and creating this world class makeup are dressed in ball gowns and tuxedos. They meticulously mix these creamy concoctions by hand and it is sought after by women the world over. Not just for the beauty it gives to women but for the wonderful fragrance they emit. Once all these wonderful lipsticks, foundation, eye shadow, mascara are all on a women's face it smells just like Love by Chloe'.

Is it just me, or is this a LOT like Bulgari's Rose Essentielle? It's nice, and the packaging and marketing are pretty adorable, but is it really that new? For the price, you could get three times as much BRE.

I tried this on at Harrods for the first time yesterday because my mum kept mentioning it to me, we have quite different tastes but I was curious anyway as she was absolutely raving about it. I have to say, I loved it straight away and went back to buy it a couple of days later. It is so different to the scents I usually go for which can all be described as sweet, gourmand with prominent vanilla notes. "Love, Chloe" is sweet but in a really soft, powdery, floral way - not 'candy' sweet. It has the most beautiful powdery aspect to it, apparently it is meant to have a cosmetic accord as it is said to be inpired by the scent of a Coty face powder. Although powdery it's not musty or heavy like some of the old-fashioned powder scents. It seems very clean and floral which seems to be Chloe's trademark in their recent creations.. I have even heard people compare Chloe scents to laundry detergent! It's true that they have quite a similar clean, floral/soapy feeling, which is surprising to me because I usually only like rich, edible-smelling fragrances (my HGs being Angel, JPG Classique, Pink Sugar, Hypnotic Poison and Flowerbomb). Certainly nothing that can be described as 'clean'. The notes include orange blossom, pink pepper, iris absolute, lilac, hyacinth, wisteria blossom, heliotropine, powdery musks, talc and rice powder. I can't say I detect any pepper but the orange blossom, powdery musks, talc and rice powder really come through for me. I love the feeling of wearing it, it is like a sweet, airy cloud around you. It's light but noticeable and distinctive. The best way to describe it is like the scent of that big cloudy veil of powder that forms when applying make up powder from a puff! I think that's what Chloe was trying to re-create and capture here to be honest. I love how it manages to conjure up images of pink powder puffs and dressing rooms. It is very 'cute' and flirtatious in this way, but chic and elegant at the same time.. it smells very classy and sophisticated but would still suit young girls as it's wearable and feminine. I never thought I would love 'clean' scents because I have always thought of them as quite cold and clinical but here the rice makes it cozy and comforting. It reminds me of Kenzo Amour most likely due to Amour's notes of cherry blossom, rice steam and musk notes. The bottle is so perfect for the scent itself, I love the vintage pink shade and bottle design that makes me think of old Hollywood glamour.. I also love the adorable "Love, Chloe" engraved on the gold and the bottle top that is attached to the gold chain, everything about it is just beautiful. "Love, Chloe", I love it :)

Gorgeous! Reminding me of Bulgari the classique, this one is more modern, subtle and powdery. In the contrary of the original Chloe, which has overpowering rose scent (which I find annoying!) this one is very bright and joyfull.

I think this is a gorgeous fragrance - I am in love with it! It keeps its scent for ages which is always a good sign to me!

My only criticism is the delicate chain that attaches the bottle top - I can easily imagine that it will break - but apart from that its great!

Yes, it's powdery, but a light, beautiful powder. Going out on a limb here - a "modern" powder. Nothing old or stuffy about it, certainly doesn't bring to mind anything you'd put on your baby or inside your sneakers. It's white clouds rolling across a pink summer sunset. It's strands of freshwater pearls coiled in your lover's hands. It's utterly feminine, so none of that ridiculous "sharing" with your mate. No one note takes center stage, but this adagio sings.

New fragrance from Chloé. Apparently it is inspired by the scent of a Coty face powder. The notes are: orange blossom, pink pepper, iris, lilac, wisteria, hyacinth, heliotrope, powdery musk, talc and rice.
The scent is powdery, especially the drydown. It is (almost) old fashioned floral. No fruit or patchouli.
Very pretty and not sexy. I really like it - not sure that I love it.
EDIT (sept 2012): Has become my everyday go-to scent. Love it! (from 3 to 5 lippies)
