You know this is a good product (well, IMO) when I still manage to have both of the tubes that came in the twinpack AND both of them are almost used up! I keep one in my purse and one on my nightstand. I will say that I personally think it smells kinda funky in the tube, but as soon as it's applied it smells nicer. This really has kept my lips soothed and smooth this winter. I am now eager to try the one with SPF this summer.

I bought this lip balm only a few days ago and already I'm planning to buy another so I always have one on hand! Normally, I am NOT a fan of milk and honey-type products because I find the smell of honey nauseating, but I picked this up on a whim. When I first opened the tube and smelled it, I was disappointed because it smelled like, well, honey. But once I used it the smell dissipated almost immediately and left me with soft, non-greasy lips. I find that this stays on for hours, even if I eat and drink a bit. I also like that the tube is easy to open, since I have a bad habit of applying lotion and then trying to apply lip balm, only to have a hard time twisting the tube open. (Yeah, I know, life is hard).

Lasts a long time as it doesn't emulsify down. gives a nice non-shiny layer of moisture. doesn't last long. While it has a smooth texture, it doesn't feel as moisturizing as the kiss of moisture version.

Great lip balm. It smells AMAZING! Leaves my lips moisturized and more silky feeling than most balms out there. Great under lipsticks and stains. The only thing is you have to reapply often to get that intense burst of moisture again but thats fine. Def rebuy.

this and soft lips are my choice of ds lip balms. nivea always feels moisturizing and that my lips are soaking it up. it never feels like its just sitting on top/coating them. the smell is very pleasant-like milky honey! this is my 3rd tube and i have my son use it also.

This is more of a 4.5, it's good, but it lacks anything really special, but since it doesn't really have anything wrong with it, it can be a 5 on the lipstick scale. This is actually my first lip balm I am reviewing without the lip balm on my lips and in front of me. On Black Friday I was out with my good friend, hitting the sales. We stopped at Walmart first, and I spotted a 3-pack of Nivea lip balms for almost $4, I believe (I might be wrong). It was a great deal. As a self-professed lip balm addict, I had been meaning to try out two Nivea lip balms, Smoothness and Milk & Honey. I was thrilled that I would be able to use all three for cheap. I tried the Nivea Kiss of Smoothness first, this one second, and the shimmer third throughout the day. I put on the smoothness one, and my friend asked to try one that I hadn't tried yet (she doesn't like using lip balms after people). She put on this milk and honey one and said, "Mmm! It feels so good! I'll pick one up later." This one definately had the best scent out of them all to me, except possibly tied with the Nivea Kiss of Shimmer. The smell is really pleasant, and I think the reason so many people dislike this is because it's strong. Maybe once I got nausious of the scent of this, just because it was so strong and the smell was always there. There isn't a way to directly describe the smell of this. In a way, it can smell like honey right out of the pot drenched in milk. Not in a yummy kind of way though, just a normal way. I have not ever smelled pure beeswax, but I have smelled non-pure, and if I had smelled pure, this holds the kind of smell that shows that it may be similar smelling. The smell is only a little bit sweet, but not sugary sweet. More plain and normal. It does have jojoba oil, shea butter, and of course milk and honey in it, which is amazing. It isn't as overly-creamy and watery as the Kiss of Smoothness one, it does have the texture of butter though. It does last a decent amount of time, it doesn't last as long as Burt's Bees Beeswax does, but it doesn't fade like a lip butter would. Pretty normal, that is the only way to describe it, a tad creamier than most. Comparable to Avon lip balms (most like the sugar cookie one). Creamy and thick. Lovely consistancy. There is something I dislike though. If your going to say it's "natural protection" and all, at least make the product natural. This itself is very misleading. I usually love to use natural lip balms and before I did my research I had no idea if it was actually natural or not. Most lip balms do have something in it that is a natural ingredient, but they don't boast. Yet another thing, the Kiss of Smoothness is great because I use it in the summer for SPF protection. I love using my natural lip balms all year. Kiss of Shimmer smells amazing and has SPF too. Now, where does this stand? Not natural? No SPF? No crazy-magical healing powers better than my natural lip balms? Hmm. We now ourselves have a lip balm that woln't be used often and is category A normal. If it's going to be not natural, it better have SPF, that's all I'm saying. It does heal and protect and soothe lips like a lip balm should and all, it's definately is useful in that. It does work, but it isn't my number one love of my life. It was just something fun and new and great to try. When in the store the other day and faced to buy a new A Kiss of Milk and Honey, I didn't buy it. Will I buy it in the future though? Yeah, probably. I will just take my time and use up other lip balms before rushing out and purchasing another one. By the way, something I didn't mention, I have no idea where I lost it at. It could have fallen out of my pocket, I could have left it on vacation, it could have slid out of my pocket while sitting and ended up in the most radical of places, I don't know. But it is worth mentioning that I was very visibly upset over my loss. I reccomend and would repurchase with time, this is a good product but nothing life-changing and miracle working, a basic balm indeed.
Edit 5/19/2012
I actually really miss it. I'll probably buy it next time I see it or something. Or maybe I should look into other honey lip balms? But this one was definately the best flavored honey one around. So, just a little update.
Edit 11/24/2012
I picked this up last week, I missed it too much! I am totally in love with the Kiss of Smoothness and Kiss of Milk and Honey. I have been using this balm nonstop. Super moisturizing. Love! My favorite balms are still Burt's Bees, but I love adding Nivea to switch things up a bit. Burt's Bees honey balm is incredibly disappointing, it smells awful but still moisturizes wonderfully. This is a win though. Just wanted to update on my repurchase! This are so fun to have and apply.

Overall, a very good lip balm. It moisturizes well and smells nice - not quite like milk and honey, but more like pure raw beeswax. The mechanism on the tube is smooth and easy to operate. You get a lot of product int here, too - far more than in traditional Chapstik brand. All in all I prefer EOS spheres, but definitely a quality product that I will gladly purchase again if I can't find the EOS.

It says Milk and Honey, but that's not what it smells like! It's not what it tastes like either! Aside from the fact that this formula isn't quite as moisturizing as I'd like it to be, the smell is what really puts me off. I just can't even bring myself to use it for that reason.

I like Nieva's other products, but I will not be repurchasing this one. :/

I got this is one of those gift packs Nivea makes around Christmas. It had lotion, body wash, and this little number. I loved all three products, and I keep this balm right next to my computer. I've never done that with any lip product before. I have to only swipe one quick layer, and my lips are great for hours as long as I don't eat anything messy. It smells just a bit like honey, nothing too perfume-y. Wish it had SPF, but I still love it enough to give it 5 stars.

Love this lipbalm!! The smell is delicious and it moisturizes extremely well, yet not too much so it isn't greasy.

I was suffering from some severely dry lips and felt like I had tried everything. For some reason, it seems like the products that will help us most are the ones that burn/soothe, to supposedly indicate that they are "working". Well a bunch of those burning minty lipbalms did nothing but worsen my dry lips, and then I tried this.................................

Slowly but surely, my lips repaired and are now back to normal - no burning involved! It didn't happen after one application, but I could feel it was working (not by burning!), and I was so surprised that a non-burning product could repair severely dry, chapped lips. I've tried sooo many lipbalms, and I use lipbalm several times a day, and this is better than any chapstick or blistex product and I will continue to use this specific product over and over.

The smells ok, for some reason I find this formula too drying for me. No matter how much I apply within the hour I'm reapplying again and it tends to make my lips even worse then what they were. I have it on my night stand and use it every night only because I want to get rid of it.i won't buy the milk and honey version again.

This is initially very moisturizing and I even like the (heavy, flowery, sweet) smell. But it wears off after about 20 minutes, leaving my lips dry and peeling (way more so than they were when I first put it on). It was cheap enough, though that I won't feel guilty throwing it out!

It smells horrible. I mean what kinda milk and honey smells like strong cheap fragrance? I used it at night but the next morning my lips are still dry and flaky. totally useless to me. I didn't hesitate when I throw it away.

Lip Balms are a dime a dozen these days....I have about 20 floating around the house, car, purse and office. I purposely buy different ones to keep the "balm boredom" at bay. This is one that lives in my kitchen (because it matches the decor). I actually like this one. Pleasant but faint scent, not glossy, and keeps the lips protected. I have chronically dry lips and I apply balm every 20 minutes or so....(hence why I have so many of them everywhere) I do not ever buy balms with mint, menthol, eucalyptus etc because they actually dry out lips more- which is a GREAT marketing ploy for Carmex and Blistex and the like. I'm not too fond of the long list of ingredients but it does it purpose. I also like that it will make a dry lipstick creamier without changing the color. I will most likely purchase again when I lose this one...(I have never in my life actually used up a balm before)
Here are the ingredients:
Octyldodecanol, Microcrystalline Wax, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cetyl Palmitate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Polyisobutene, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Myristyl Myristate, C20-40 Alkyl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Mica, Glycerin, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Honey Extract, Nonfat Dry Milk, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Beeswax, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Neohesperidin Dihydrochalcone, Water, Yellow 5 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake.

I'm always looking for the perfect lipbalm because my lips tend to get very dry and I always have to have a layer on before lipstick or gloss because otherwise it always dries my lips out, and I really like the Nivea ones because they're so thick and creamy and really soothe my lips. I don't think this one is a patch on vaseline or carmex, but it has a nice texture, feels really smooth on the lips and has a pleasant but hardly noticeable fragrance, which people who dislike heavily fragranced balms may prefer. I usually carry this one in my bag for on the go use rather than all round use all the time, because normally I keep vaseline in my make up bag. But I would recommend and buy this again because its nice and cheap and does the job nicely.
