I normally, meaning pretty much since I started wearing make-up 10 years ago, don't wear foundation (or any make-up) daily. I only wear it when I have to go somewhere nice or when I'm going out at night. This is because I have acne-prone, oily skin and wearing make-up seems to make that worse. That being said...

This foundation is amazing! It's quick and easy to apply, and it doesn't make me look over-done; for these reasons, I now wear this foundation pretty much everyday! This does not cause me to break out at all which is wonderful, and a little bit provides decent coverage. It does a pretty good job of concealing imperfections, including my under-eye circles (which aren't terrible, but they're there). It is also washes off easily. I really love that it has SPF 15 too. This powder foundation is pressed, not loose, which is great because loose powder would be too messy for me and tricky to apply. I purchased the "new formula" which has skin-perfecting ingredients, but I haven't really noticed a difference with that (that part wasn't really important to me). The one negative I have about this foundation is that it does not provide the full coverage I like in a foundation for certain occations when I like to look made-up (mainly going out at night). But that's not a big deal because I have other foundations for that; just wish I could kill two birds with one stone with this foundation, so-to-speak. It costs more than I would normally pay for a foundation, but it lasts me a good while, so it's worth it I guess. Overall, wonderful foundation, I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

A new review of this product is long overdue. This is the absolute best foundation product ever! Pur Minerals 4in1 Pressed Mineral Powder is perfect. It has a mineral base, it's an excellent concealer, it provides amazing coverage all over the face, and it has an spf of 15. I am on my second compact and if this ever gets discontinued, I do not know what I will do because there is no other foundation that can do for me what this can. My shade, deep, is not the easiest to find, so to ensure that I am covered for the year, I need a back-up. This is it for me.

This is for the newer 4 in 1 powder foundation from Pur. I had tried the original, and did not like. This, I LOOOOOVE! Really pretty, very natural looking (I apply lightly with sponge, over concealer) gorgeous color match and usually I am DIFFICULT!) I have blond hair, mid-fair skin , and green eyes, and the Blush Medium is perfect. Plus, my skin loves it, and is looking better each day without makeup. Softens flaws and wrinkles for me. My husband said I look 10 years younger on the first day I tried. Many odd, random compliments, and I know it is this foundation. Lasts all day for me, and I look much better with it. . I am no longer looking for foundations now, and I was on the hunt for YEARS!!! in high and low end, in every form and color. SO much money wasted, looking to look like this makes me look. Try it, I hope it works as well for you

This is definitely my favourite foundation! It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and it has just the right amount of coverage-sheer to medium, but totally build-able!! The only negative things I have to say is it sometimes accentuates any dry patches (so make sure to moisturize!) and the price is, well, this product is on the pricey side-but I feel these are definitely not deal breakers!

This is definitely a full-coverage foundation...which I love. I use a dense but soft powder brush from Fresh and I barely need to touch up any leftover redness. Because it's so heavy I recommend putting on concealer first on any spots. Too much of this will certainly make you look cakey. Does a fabulous job controlling oil and seems to last on meall day. Also it lasts a long time. No hitting pan yet but I switch fdtns depending on my mood! Good shade choices also. No oxidation which is normally a big problem for me. Also LOVE LaPrairie and LM so this is now in my top 3. Still waiting to try out the reformulated Dior forever. Oh and FYI I don't know if I'm just stupid but it took me like 3 weeks to realize the mirror and sponge are under the powder. Not easy to use them but great coverage is worth it.

Practically almost done with my first pan of this! SO HAPPY! :) I was using Bare Minerals before this and MAN, I can't believe so many people are still wearing that SH*T! Pur Minerals 4-in-1 is A MILLION TIMES better than BM. BM made my face looks super cakey and I'm convinced it contributed to my breakouts. One top of that, the cases are bulky and the loose powder is messy. I was pretty skeptical on trying Pur Minerals at first because of it's solid form(more likely to cause breakouts) but I can say that I have not had one single makeup caused breakout since I made the switch. It has literally saved my skin from breakouts and hyper-pigmentation. PUR MINERALS IS AWESOME!

Sometimes it can look a bit too powdery, but what do you expect with a powder foundation? So before I apply, I put on a moisturizer and a primer. After I put on the foundation, if it still looks too powdery, I'll spray my face with some MAC FIX+ or some sort of facial spray liquid. I use Uriage Mineral Water Spray. And that usually does the job! :)

I used the lightest color available and it matched my very fair skin perfectly. It is light and doesn't make my skin itchy as other minerals do. I use a very good moisturizer before applying and it makes my skin look very healthy. I noticed that at times though, it doesn't have all day staying power. I live in the South though so the humidity is a huge factor.

I have gotten really protective of the skin on my face. I'm fair and my skin has a tendency to redden, so I wanted something gentle that was good for my skin and would perhaps enhance it so I didn't NEED to wear so much of it. I've used Revlon Colorstay for years but I hardly wore makeup, so ingredients weren't a big deal until recently. I was reluctant to go back to Bare Minerals, which I bought once but thought was way too cakey. So I found a lot of good info on Pur Minerals and I'm very happy! I don't think it's a miracle worker, but I like that it contains retinol. I've noticed that my skin has fewer breakouts and more even skin tone. It's not really as full-coverage as some might like, but it evens out my redness which is my main concern, and does seem to last the entire day, even in my t-zone. I also LOVE that it's pressed and in a compact, so there's no waste or mess anywhere. I bought the introductory kit, but now I'm going for a full-size compact.

I really love this product. For a few reasons:
- It makes my skin look amazing!
-It is definitely natural looking too - I don't know why some of you say it isn't - you're probably putting on too much.
- I'm also in between shades and I found the right shade for me!

I would recommend this to anyone, and I would definitely purchase it again.

I really don't like this product. For a few reasons:
1. It made me break out. Badly. And I haven't broken out in over a year.
2. It made my skin look like I was wearing TONS of makeup. Definitely not natural looking at all.
3. Not much shade selection. One was way too tan, the other was ashy. Finding an ashy foundation is hard for me cause I'm really pale. Anyway, I had to get the tanner one and mix it with a lighter powder.
4. It rubs off on EVERYTHING. You can't try things on at stores if you wear this or change clothes. Heck you even need to hold the phone a couple centimeters away from your face hen your talking if you don't want it to rub off.
5. I was way too expensive! $30 for a drugstore powder? Really? I've tried better powders that were $5.

This powder is now sitting in my closet cause they won't let me return it. =( Don't make the same mistake, don't buy this product.

I would never recommend this to anyone, maybe an enemy, and I would never ever purchase it again.

I'm on my 3rd one of these, so I figured I should finally get around to reviewing! I LOVE this powder. The coverage on this is fantastic! It covers up my redness better than any other product I've ever used. It also seems to make my skin glow. I don't like the chisel brush they recommended for this, it turns my face into a powdery cakey mess! Used with a lighter, fluffier brush and a light hand this is great stuff!

I love this foundation! I actually like it better than Bare Minerals which I have been using for ages. This is more easily controlled with how much you are applying, and it lasts forever. Also, I feel like it is lighter than Bare Minerals. I still use both brands, but will definitely keep buying this. I use the Golden Medium.

So for me this product worked extremely well. I have super oily skin with large pores and uneven tone and texture from acne scaring (I'm a picker, horrible I know). I use this with tartes lose pore powder (I can't remember the exact name) as a base, then concealer, and finish with the powder. Unlike all other mineral powders this didn't make me shiny and actually kept me matte for hours. It totally buffs out and diffuses my skin tone unlike other product and looks so natural. The only problem with this is the color selection. Load of pinky shades. But I deal because I have never found a shade in any brand that matches me perfectly

UPDATE: i do NOT like the retinol. if you use retinol its definitely not supposed to be used during the day... why so many day time products and now makeups out there have it is beyond me. if you do your research, this ingredient is only supposed to be used at night IF your skin can handle it. now this stuff looks super chalky on me and i feel has worsened my skin even more... probably because the retinol made me even MORE sensitive. its a shame because i thought i had finally found a mess free mineral foundation that made my skin look amazing, but all it did is mess my skin up over time.

Contains bismuth!

I SOOOOOO wanted to be able to use this because it made my skin glow. Unfortunately it also made it itch and burn and break out. I read others talk about bismuth being an irritant and that seems to be true for me. Sooooo sad.

If you do not have a reaction to bismuth then you should try this because it does make skin look gorgeous. But if you have sensitive skin then this may not be for you.

After trying numerous drug store foundations, I bite the bullet and decided to try mineral foundation. After reading great reviews about, Pur Mineral 4-in-1 foundation, I decided to get the starter kit. I must admit that the first time I wore it; I got so many random compliments, that I fell in love with it immediately (and even order two more full size compacts shortly after). It made my face flawless (even though I was suffering from several breakouts at the time). However, now that I have been wearing it for more than 5 months, I am starting to noticed the flaw of this product.
1 – it makes your face “shiny”, which is odd, since I have very dry skin
2- it rubs off very easily....there’s makeup stain on everything
3- it’s expensive when considering the amount of product you get
Overall, I like this product; it’s quick, easy to use, cover well and good for your skin. However, due to problems listed above, I think there might be a better mineral foundation out there…

I was desperate for a new powder, and only tried this mineral powder because I had tried everything else. I have never been a fan of mineral powder, or foundations. I'm so glad I did!! I do not use this as a by-itself foundation, but as a setting powder over liquid foundation. I have some discolored deep acne scarring that I like totally concealed, but if you have mild scarring, this alone will do the trick! I have always had a problem matching my light yellow skin tone, but I use this in Golden Medium- and it is seamless!! It is about $27-30, you need so little of the product, it lasts forever- with no mess, because it is in pressed powder form which I love! You can put it on with a sponge, or brush and it lasts and lasts- even on the hottest days. Amazing and worth every penny. I am not so easily impressed, but this product blows me away, had to post!!

I love love love this product!!! I am a norm/combo skin type with freckles and prone to breakout in tzone. I have always sworn by only a liquid to really even my skintone out and take away redness and blend the freckles until i tried this product!I I used to use the old formulation and was a little hesitant about the retinol and peptides being in the new formulation but I LOVE it even more. I have not only noticed a smoother texture to my skin, but my freckles and hyperpigmentation are really evening out. I have also noticed that it wears much longer and I do not get as oily as I used to by the end of the day. Overall, my favorite thing about it is the new LIGHT TAN color theyve added. The new packaging is cuter too! :) A fan overall. If you have any skin conditions and/or sens skin then you really should give it a try, you wont be let down!

I really like the original formulation.

Does anyone have reviews on the new formulation one with the skincare actives added? The new ingredient deck looks good with added retinol, peptides and other skincare ingredients.

There's a couple new shades too.

I am a little hesitant to buy the new one without seeing some reviews on coverage, etc..

Will probably need a new category for the new formulation if MUA wants to create one with the new skincare actives.

Though expensive (around 25.00) this is absolutely the best makeup I have ever used! I applied with a big round makeup brush and found that it covered my skin evenly without looking cakey. It looked so natural, in fact, many people would approach me in public and tell me how flawless my skin looked and ask how I did it! It also kept my forehead shine free and is one of the few products that hasn't caused a pimple breakout on the oilier parts of my face. The range of colors is quite limited and it is pricey but overall I highly recomend this product!

I have to say this is the best mineral foundation I've tried. The coverage is good and can be built up on my blemishes without looking cakey. It goes on like butter and feels great all day long, like you aren't wearing anything. I love how it doesn't give that annoying sheen most minerals do and has the most natural finish of any foundation, liquid or powder. The compact is not messy like loose powders, you can travel with it and not worry that it will end up all over your bag. These seem to last me longer than the loose powders since i'm not wasting product. They have recently added a few new colors to the line. Even with the color additions their selection is sparse and I have to blend golden medium and porcelain to get my match. (light looks too pink on me) My only complaint is that my oil breaks through rather quickly and I have to be careful while blotting because it will move or get lifted away. I use my ecotools bronzer brush to apply and it looks flawless every time. This is a def repurchase for me!
