Wow! You CAN teach an old lady new tricks. My daughter decided she did not want this MAC eyeshadow anymore so naturally, now mom is getting the reject makeup--LOL!
Well, just for the heck of it, I tried this last week. Hmmmm..I was intrigued because I am pale, freckled, pink undertones. EVERYTHING oxidizes on me. Somehow...strangely, this coopery color did not look orangey on me! It...it...it...looked really great!! I did my typical neutral eye, highlighted under the brow, and placed this shadow on the outer edges of the eye.
You learn something new every day. I'm really liking this color! I'm starting to like MAC shadows and, at my very sage age, I'm actually planning a trip to the MAC counter. Who Knew?
I absolutely would buy this color again and would def. purchase more MAC shadows!

*cries* I am soooo disappointed! I am a student so am on a very tight budget, but I was lusting after this soooo much, so I was on the MAC website and my hand had a spasm and clicked on the buy button, you know, as it does...
I put this in my little pro palette quad and when it came to trying to, I expected strong pigmentation and long-lasting colour...
However all I got was a very sheer shimmery orange that faded after hardly any time at all! So upset :(
I have to say, I am a PPP so this just made me look slightly ill... I think darker skinned/tanned girls would look sooo much better in this!

This is by far one of my most favorite eyeshadows from MAC and one of the first ones I purchased. The color payoff is immediate and makes green eyes glow. I am a PPP and this beautiful color has only accented my fair skin favorably; not too dark and not too light.
Some of the ways I enjoy wearing this shade ...

I was skeptical about this eyeshadow but I've put a good dent in it so far and I've only had it a few months. It goes with so many other MAC eyeshadows (sketch, gorgeous gold, humid, cranberry - just to name a few). And its great alone on the lid paired with brown in the crease for a little more crazy natural eye without being too overpowering. I don't find that this creases easily (with an eyeshadow primer of course) and its very highly pigmented. I love putting a dark base under this to change up the colour a little bit. I wear this in the day time and night time - very versatile! I highly recommend and definitely will repurchase

Very impressive, truly amber color. Great pigmentation, very warm, very Aladdin honey/orange gold. Unfortunately I can't pull it off to save my life - pale ladies, stay away from it. Medium-skinned girls, celebrate! 3 lippies due to the limited target group.

I have had this for 4 years!! and still havent hit the pan. Granted, I probably dont use it too much over the years but still, the reason I decided to review it is, I have had it for so long and dug it out again to try. It is a very pretty shimmery bronze/amber color reminds me of UD baked. I sometimes use the two and they look so beautiful and bright together. It lives up to MAC standars with its pigmentation, and may even be more pigmented then some of the shadows I have from MAC. I do love it and recommend it especially for olive skintones

Amber Lights is exaclty what the name suggests, a glowing amber color. It looks so good with golds and with dark browns, also with black for a smoky look.

This is a lovely but not very unique colour. And another thing, but that might say more about my skills than about this shadow, it looks very bright shimmery orange on me and i find it hard to tone down and to make it wearable. I prefer MACs bronze over this 100 times (not that they are dupes, just find it more wearable) and also prefer Gosh copper.

I have tried this color at the MAC counter so many times only to be disappointed by how easily I duped it with an oldie from my stash! The color payoff is decent and it accents my brown eyes, but I refuse to pay $16 (with tax) for a shade I can get from the drugstore. This is a beautiful bronze-y gold, and I've found two very similar colors for much cheaper. Milani Bronze Doll is the exact same color, finish, and pigmentation. Prestige Golden Retriever is also a very similar color, but it's more of a metallic finish, and it has huge color payoff. This color is beautiful from MAC, but terribly overpriced.

I love this eye shadow. Looks great over everything. I even use it as a highlighter over blush on my cheeks. Best color ever for brown girls.

I should wear it more often because it is so good. especially good if u have green/hazel eyes. I love to use it with carbon, bronze or as a crease color to create a fiery smokey look or smoke-out a black eyeshadow...i think it will look good with MAC Humid e/s too

An absolutely amazing colour. It's my favourite colour to wear during the fall and winter months. The colour is a copper- golden flecked- bronzey tone. I get so many compliments when I wear it.

This is a really pretty yellowy-orangey gold. It is in no way a soft gold. Think Cleopatra gold. That said, it's still very wearable. The color payoff is fantastic and it's metallic enough to make your eyes look almost wet. I love golds and warm neutrals and this is the best gold out there.

This eyeshadow is among my top 5 MAC eyeshadows. It's a beautiful deep golden shade, which brings out the golden flecks in my green eyes. I like using this on the lid with Bronze in the crease, or with All That Glitters on the lid and Amber Lights in the crease.
It's a frost finish, which is my favorite finish from MAC (besides Starflash - but they're everyone's favorite!) It's so smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend.
Unfortunately, mine shattered while I was traveling to florida by plane, but I was able to re-press it and it's good as new! :)

This is one of those colours that i dont reach for too often but is just really pretty to look at haha.. (and i wonder where all my money is going). It's really a pretty neutral golden bronze colour that I should probably use more often but I dont' know why i dont reach for it often. Works well as an all over wash of colour and for a bronzy summery look. Will try to incorporate this into my look tomorrow!

perfect bronze. it isnt a color with much depth because it reflects the light so much but it is a beautiful color that i should really use more often. in the pan it looks kind of intimidating but it is the perfect combo of gold and brown/bronze for us NW15-20 girls that want to look tan and golden goddess like! its really smooth too and easy to blend, wonderful color!!

Well on the plus side, it does compliment blue eyes and it makes a nice crease color for me because I'm fair skinned and it has a medium darkness to it. I have to use a light hand with it because it is kinda orangey and I tone that down by blending copperclast pigment in the crease with it. I wish it was less orangey because I don't think orange tones really compliment fair skin...this would look better on a tan person for sure!
