The hype is just hype. Little to back it up. So thick and not in a good way. Doesn't hold a curl worth a darn. On the plus side, it's rich black and seems as though it would be conditioning.

The hype revolved around this mascara is somewhat false. I will agree that Diorshow a great mascara, but only to an extent. There's only so much that $25 can buy you, so based on all the hype and its pricing factors, I didn't expect much, based on my previous bad experience with hyped, expensive products.
I can say that Diorshow was a--what do old-fashioned people call it?--"pleasant surprise". It gave adequate volume and substantial length. The first coat was mainly volume, second coat added more volume and length, third coat added more length, fourth coat clumped, fifth coat really clumped. So, after using an eyelash comb to comb out those nasty clumps from the excess coats, my lashes were long, full, and--wait for it--curled. Whaaa...? NEVER have I used a mascara that curled my lashes, so this is a first. That said, it doesn't curl my lashes to the capabilities of an eyelash curler, but it does give my lashes some lift.
Its wear time is the same as any other washable mascara, and it doesn't smudge or flake.
I should also note that it does have noticable fragrance in it, so if your eyes are sensitive to such things, you may want to stray away. The scent is only noticeable during application, though.
I prefer to pair this with the Diorshow Maximizer, a mascara primer that delivers UNBELIEVABLE length and curl. (I have a separate review for the Diorshow Maximizer.) Diorshow with the Maximizer gives me huge, gorgeous lashes that's impossible for me to achieve with other mascaras, without an eyelash curler.
It's somewhat pricey at $25, but I think if you're a big mascara junkie like I am, the price isn't too bad.
Would I repurchase? Not sure, but I probably would, should I have the spare money. I'm DEFINITELY going to purchase it in Azure Blue, though.

Oh, Diorshow. As far as price goes... I simply cannot justify spending this much for mascara. It is black goop you put on your eyelashes. Eyelash goop should not cost me an arm and a leg when most mascaras are well below ten dollars. Brand name aside, it is not a reasonable price for the quality, which is subpar. I got a small sample of this years ago, and I liked it well enough for a mascara, but it was clumpy and flakey. I separated my lashes when I needed to and wiped away fallout throughout the day, but that's a waste of time. I've tried several drugstore mascaras that either match this quality or exceed it. Not worth it, IMHO.

Ok mascara. Does the job but nothing outstanding on my naturally long lashes. Does not smudge for me. Overall - it is definitely not bad but if you are looking for something outstanding for this price, I am afraid you will not get it.

Its beautiful it really is. If you want to wear it for an hour. After that its smudges and smears and makes all manner of mess. As for shelf life it dries out and gets clumpy after 2 weeks. And its super expensive. So nope on Dior Show. I will continue on my quest for the perfect mascara. This isn't it.

Great stuff! Makes your lashes thick and long with no clumping. Usually $24 but lasts quite a while. Doesn't dry out your lashes.

This is definitely one of my favorite mascaras out there. It never runs or flakes or smudges across my face. It is almost water resistant. Embarrassing but I have cried in this mascara plenty of times without experiencing too much runs and this isn't even the waterproof version which I read about in a few other comments.

Either way, LOVE this mascara and highly recommend it

LOVE the colume this gives! Superdark lashes and with buildable length, this is a beautiful mascara if you want to draw attention to the eyes. My only compaint is that it has a tendency to smudge on me after 4-5 hours of wear, but it's a small price to pay for the result. If buying this again, I would probably go for the waterproof one.

My new-and-forever mascara. I was a die-hard Loreal fan until a friend turned me onto this mascara in March. It is amazing. It lasts and lasts, and it never clumps - no matter how many layers I put on. You really can 'build volume' to your heart's content. The brush is really different than what I'm used to. It comes off easily with my regular face wash - no special remover needed - but stays on a long time without smudging. I won't be going back!

Overall a pretty good mascara, but the price is probably the main preventer in me buying again. I have fairly long lashes, but very fine, so I am always looking for a product to give a thickening effect. I love the brush - it's quite thick and chunky, which on the whole I prefer to smaller brushes, plus I have never really liked the rubber brushes or combs that are becoming increasingly popular. The mascara does a great job at seperating lashes and coats the lashes evenly, and it produces a glossy black look. One of the biggest plusses for this mascara is the comfort. You can layer up easily, but it will never feel hard or heavy like some cheaper brands do. It's also a pleasure to remove. I usually use a cleanser and water, but unlike most, this does not smudge off or leave you with panda eyes, it just kinda washes off in formed particles! I don't usually have a need for waterproof mascaras, but I would imagine that this would be a good choice if you hate the stubborness of removing a waterproof mascara, but want to avoid streaky panda eyes! I would buy this again if it came down in price, or would happy accept it as a gift, but I also found it didn't last as long as some cheaper brands - about 3-4 months as opposed to my Loreal Double extension that easily lasts 6 months.

I received a mini mascara from a very kind MA at the Dior Counter. I was excited to try it for free after reading so many rave reviews here on MUA. I was wowed by the brush, and the full and soft quality of the mascara. I would not spend the money again although, I think there are too many less expensive options out there. I did think it was a great mascara, but it is not necessary to spend that much when you don't have to. If money is not a concern, than buy it with no worries.

Never got past trying it on in Sephora. The fragrance in this made my eyes burn so much it made my eyes water. For the 30 seconds I could wear it it was lovely. Then it just had to come off. Why in the world is there so much fragrance in this mascara?

This is the best mascara I have ever tried, and I have tried A LOT. It doesn't flake, smudge or run, and that's not even the waterproof version, which I have as well. It provides great, buildable colour without clumping or turning your lashes into a tarantula. Nothing but Diorshow for me.

I've been wearing make-up for over 25 years. Over the period I've tried many different mascaras. And I must say that Diorshow Mascara is one of the best out there.

Now it all depends on what look is a woman looking to achieve. Since different women like different make up look, some are more into smokey eyes - dramatic look, others into very simple -barely there natural look, not all women will like the results produced by Diorshow mascara, and not every woman will agree with my review. As they say different strokes for different folks ;)

The mascara comes in elegant package, with a silver screw tip. When you unscrew the tip and pull out the applicator you will find a very thick brush at the end. The benefits to the thick brush are that you can distribute the mascara evenly all over all lashes, and give them a full, long look. As you brush your lashes with the thick brush, the mascara literally glides on.

Other beautiful bonus is, the mascara is scented. Now this might be problem for those who are hypo-allergic. But if you are not allergic to anything, like me, you will enjoy the light scent that mascara has to offer. And this scent will stay in the mascara tube as long as there is some mascara in it. Just lovely.

Every morning you are getting ready to go out, and you open up the scented mascara and glide it on your lashes and see them grow longer and fuller and your eyes look bigger and dramatic, you will feel like you are in a spa. You get to have your few minutes of private pampering of the day :)

The mascara is pretty decent and stays on, and doesn't flake at all, doesn't lump up, and doesn't create the tarantula eyelashes. It will however gets slightly runny if your face gets overly moist. For those ladies that are very physically active, or are prone to sweat, I suggest to go with the waterproof version of Diorshow mascara.

I do agree that the mascara is on the pricey side, and it could be at least one third cheaper, but still it's worth every penny.

Pretty overrated if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, this mascara isn't bad one bit! It seems to be called the "best mascara in the world" but I wouldn't say that. The price isn't worth it, in my opinion. 19 dollars would be a more reasonable price for the quality. My idea for a "high end brand" with better quality would probably be YSL or Chanel. So, if I think about buying high end again I'll go to them instead.
Anyways, let me talk about the mascara itself. I have gotten the same effects from Benefit's (They're Real!) mascara. I bought that in a value pack for 23 dollars, and I take the travel sized one with me everywhere. And this mascara seems to be a bit flaky. Not bad, though, goes good with smokey eyes.

I bought this mascara about two years ago and I remember absolutely loving it but then went onto try other mascaras. I recently decided to buy the mascara again and although I didn't love it this time as much as I remember loving it two years ago, I do really like it but have a few issues with it.
Issue 1. It's very smudgy, I have long lashes and it leaves black smudge marks half way through the day under my eyes and under my eyebrows so I have to keep wiping the smudges away

Issue 2. It's quite clumpy and needs a really good press and wipe before applying or my lashes go clumpy and thick.

Apart from the minor issues, when the brush is wiped and 'de clumped' it makes my lashes so thick and dramatic. Definitely my favourite mascara for the night. I find it maybe a little too thick for the daytime though

Overall would recommend if you like bold and dramatic eyelashes, :)

Diorshow was my first high end makeup purchase. Since then I've discovered Diorshow blackout (waterproof) ... which I have completely fallen in love with.

That being said -- I love diorshow - I find that it doesn't clump even if you put on 2 or 3 coats. I have fairly long lashes to begin with but this mascara takes my lashes from okay to WOW. Everytime I wear this mascara I'm asked if I am wearing false lashes. It also wears really well all day even though it's not waterproof - my eyes get really watery sometimes due to allergies etc and even though it isn't waterproof this mascara doesn't tend to run throughout the day.

The best part about the mascara is that you can put a few coats on and your lashes don't get really goopy - I find that happens with other mascaras - It is pricey at about 30-32 cdn per tube, but if you use mascara frequently and want a good mascara that will give you really defined lashes this is definitely one to invest in.

Having heard great things about this mascara I was excited to try it out. It works great - lengthens and thickens. The only problem is it dries out extremely fast. I use mascara every day and within 3-4 weeks this mascara dries out and can't be used. The price is not worth having to re-purchase every three weeks, and there are a lot of other high end mascaras that will last much much longer and work just as well, if not better (Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill and YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking are my favorites).

At first I was furious because I spent $25 on a mascara that did nothing for my lashes. However, I swirled the brush around in the tube and mixed it up a bit and it seemed to make a big improvement. Now i like it! :] and it smells like roses? Ok Dior. Just make my lashes pretty.
