I wanted to try this product after seeing so many good reviews for it, and I'm glad I did! I have it in 200 Nude. It gives a good amount of coverage and you can easily build on it. It covers all my blemishes and redness and it doesn't look cakey. People compliment me on my "perfect" skin because they can't tell that I'm wearing foundation! I wear this over a moisturizer and the Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer and I apply it with a stippling brush. Before this I used the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115 Ivory, and the Revlon foundation is so much better! The only way this could be better would be if it had a higher SPF.

I purchased this product based on the reviews on this site and I am quite pleased. I was using Diorskin Forever foundation, but was hesitant to purchase again because of the price. This Revlon Colorstay foundation is a bit heavier than the Diorskin, but it also stays put and gives a nice finish.

This foundation was well-suited for my oily/combination skin. The color looked great and it went on nicely. Some reviewers complained about the lack of dispenser, but I did not find that to be a problem, as I apply it with a makeup wedge.

Normally my skin is quite oily a couple hours after foundation application, but this one surprised me. I only needed to blot after several hours. It still looked surprisingly fresh after a full day of wear.

The only drawback of this product is that it is difficult to determine the appropriate color - no testers. Other than that, I would recommend it as a good product for a reasonable price.

I love this foundation, but I don't think it's perfect. It is high coverage and a bit mask-like, so it's great for hiding all sorts of blemishes but not great if you want a skin-like finish. The oily/combo formula dries to a powdery matte finish and keeps me quite matte throughout the day, which is impressive considering my oily skin requires me to blot at least 1-2 times a day. It's great for photographs because of its high coverage and matte finish won't make you look shiny or sweaty under camera flashes.

The most amazing part about the Revlon Colorstay line is that I can drag this foundation through HELL (mountain-climbing, dance class, frigid winter days with lots of wind, photoshoots, etc.) and it'll still look near-perfect on my skin at the end of the day. It doesn't budge or fade noticeably, although I noticed that the matte formula sinks into fine lines a little if you wear it for more than a few hours. The trade-off for its longevity is that you'll have to use an oil cleanser or some other heavy-duty cleanser to remove it all once you're done. It can NOT be easily washed off by lighter cleansers!

Two big cons about this line is that the colors run neutral and the pour-out bottle sucks. I am a very warm NC25/30 girl and I have to wear Golden Beige, which is still a smiiiidge too neutral for my very yellow skin. If you're cool or neutral, you'll probably love this line! Also, to solve the packaging issue since I always pour too much foundation out of the original bottle, I scooped the product into an airless pump, which is more sanitary and less wasteful.

I would like to start by saying that despite the flaws of this foundation I always repurchase. This foundation is perfect for oily/combination skin (obviously) due to the staying power and shine control. This foundation is a high coverage. Due to this I only reccomend using one layer of the foundation which is applied to heavily moisturised face, otherwise this product would look cakey thick. The colour of this foundation has no orange tones just a beautiful tanned colour (my shade is rich tan). The downfalls to this product are: the packaging despite how tight I screw the lid some product always seems to leak out causing a mess/product waste. The second floor the consistency of this foundation is quite hard to work with it requires alot of rubbing and ensuring that there are not tide marks which I find happens alot due to gathering of the foundation, but as I mentioned at the start I would always repurchase.

Okay so I've had this for a week or two. I bought it from walmart for about $7 after tax. My shade is caramel. Ive tried a few different ways of applying this. I used a cosmetic wedge, the real techniques stippling brush, and the sonia kashuk flat top multipurpose. The latex wedge gave me very sheer coverage and the stippling brush gave me about a medium maybe a little less, and the flat top multipurpose gave me the best coverage. This does not have the coverage I expected. I would say this is a solid medium when I expected it to be more medium to full. It covers my discoloration well but not completely so I may use concealer on occasion. The colorstay whipped has better coverage (see my review on that). I never needed concealer with the whipped version. The foundation I was using before this was in fact the colorstay whipped but after I finished it I moved on to this to see which one was better. To be honest I'm not sure which one I like better because its hard to compare them when you don't have them at the same time. I like the packaging of the whipped more than this. I was reluctant to try this because I thought the traditional pour out bottle would annoy me too much but I'm surprised to report it doesnt. I just pour some out on the back of my hand then dip my brush into it. It comes out easily and I don't find it to be messy. I pour a little out then do a section of my face at a time and pour more out as I need it. It blends easily for me with my sonia kashuk flat top and it sets quickly, unlike the whipped. Someone with normal skin would not need to set this with a powder but since mine is oily I do. The lasting power is great, just like the whipped. It will not keep you matte all day long but it lasts a good amount of time before you get dewy or oily. I think this is the best foundation to stand up to sweat and heat. This does not transfer AT ALL to my white collar. I had a little bit of an issue with transferring with the whipped. This looks REALLY natural and my shade is great. Caramel has yellow undertones so its perfect as I am nc50. Once I'm almost through with my bottle of this I will repurchase the colorstay whipped so I can have them at one time and compare them properly. One of them will be my HG drugstore foundation(: Also I would like to shout out revlon for being one of the only drugstore makeup companies to make shades dark enough for women of color and just for having a wide color selection in general (that's a jab at Rimmel London). Best color selection in the drugstores. UPDATE: I've repurchased my second bottle of this and I LOVEE it, even more. The first bottle I purchased had soft flex. When I repurchased I didn't read the bottle so I just assumed it had soft flex but it doesn't. And im GLAD it doesn't. The only problem I had with my first one was the coverage was lacking and it was runny. The one without soft flex is definitely thicker and more coverage. Even though it's thicker I have absolutely no problem blending and it doesn't look masky or feel heavy. The one without soft flex has as much coverage as the whipped

I LOVE THIS!!!
Its kinda hard to find the foundation that dosent make you look like a 'Doll' or in other words, 'Fake'. This is amazinggg! This gives me the most natural look ever, it was hard at first trying to find a good yellow under toned foundation color for my skin, but at the end, it was like a match made in heaven :p
I do wish though that it came in a pump but other than that, it lasts all day long, does not smudge off or oxidize!
I like it a lot!!!!
I would defiantly reccomend it for oily to combination skin types! :D

I LOVE this foundation - it's my new HG! I have combination skin; oily in the t-zone, dry on my cheeks. I've been looking for a foundation that not only covers blemishes and acne scars, but stays on all day, PLUS is light enough because my skin is so fair! (Tried to get MAC foundation in the lightest shade possible - still made my skin look orange!) This foundation in Ivory is perfect! It blends very well and gives a very matte look. I may have to use a blotting sheet MAYBE once during the day if at all and my foundation does not rub off or anything! I finish it off with Rimmel's Stay Matte powder and my skin looks flawless, even in pictures! I really recommend this to those with oily/combination skin and to the fair skinned!

I don't know how I feel about this foundation completely. I feel that this foundation looks better as the day goes. But upon application, it looks a lot like heavy, caked on foundation. To help my foundation look less cakey, I usually spritz a little bit of Fix+ to my Sigma F80 to help the foundation blend into my skin. I must note that I really do love how long this foundation lasts and how well it keeps my oils under control. I have combination skin and I usually get super oily around my T zone but with this foundation, that is not the case. I can go a full day with it on and still not have any oils peek through.

The perfect application of this foundation for me is:
1. Dot foundation on face using one pump. (I transferred this foundation into my old Studio Fix foundation bottle with the pump after cleaning it out thoroughly)
2. Spritz Fix+ on my F80 brush.
3. Blend into skin.
4. Set with my Cargo HD blu-ray pressed powder.
5. Do the rest of my make up.
6. Finish with Fix+ sprayed evenly.

And with this way of application, this foundation lasts at least 6-8 hours for me.

Edit_____
Major pore clogging. Bumped down to a 3. Such a bummer because it looks incredible on but it started giving me white bumps :(

Had a coupon to Ulta and thought I'd give this foundation a shot since everyone raves about it. My skin tone is normally kind of a pain to match, because I'm a fair/light cool/neutral skin tone, so even if something just evens out my skin tone, it can look jaundice-y yellow on me, or if it's too "neutral" it looks grey and ashy.
I got this in the color 150-Buff and it was pretty much an exact match to my skin tone, so kudos to Revlon for having some nice light neutral shades. The coverage from this foundation was great and really buildable; I normally applied it with a damp sponge as I only need a light-to-medium coverage, but I liked that I could build up coverage on my problem areas (I have some acne scars on my cheeks) without it looking too cakey or heavy. It sat well on my skin despite the fact that I am a greasebomb most of the time and stayed on well until I took it off. The finish is a nice satiny-matte and it wears in after about an hour to look very natural, but you can also keep it more matte with a setting powder (though it can sometimes look cakey if you apply too much).
Now, the negatives. I'll get the obvious one out of the way and say the packaging. Yes, it is a nice sturdy bottle, but the opening on top is huge and you don't get a pump, so I ended up getting a lot more foundation than I needed, which felt wasteful. Also, smells of products don't normally bother me but this foundation had a strong scent that reminded me of latex-based paint... not exactly what I want on my face seeing as how the smell didn't really fade all that much. Also, this foundation tends to dry very quickly, so you have to work on small sections of your face and blend like a maniac to keep it smooth, which can lead it to looking a bit streaky if you're not fast enough, or a bit cakey if you need to build up coverage and the foundation has dried on you.
However, after some experimenting with different products, I have found I can no longer wear this foundation as it seems pretty much all types of non-powder foundation disagree with my skin.
TL;DR: Overall, this is a really, really good product, It is buildable and provides good sheer-to-full coverage in a range of shades and undertones. Sits very well on oily skin for a liquid foundation, but the packaging is sub-par for the price, and it can cake up if you don't know how to work with it/work with it fast enough. Has a paint smell that does not seem to fade and may bother those sensitive to scented products. Recommended to those who can wear liquid foundation.

EDIT: After setting this aside for a while and coming back to it I'm not quite so impressed. The coverage is still nice but I'm noticing now that the honeymoon phase has worn off with this, it's got this really odd greyish cast to it that looks obviously fake on my skin. Any color that could match me now looks too yellow or too grey, and the coverage of this foundation, though good, does *feel* heavy on my skin.

I am a BB cream user and decided to look for a foundation for days when I need more coverage or special occasions. After seeing the raving reviews on youtube and MUA I decided to get the Revlon colorstay in warm golden. I'm an NC35-40 with yellow undertone and this fits me pretty well.
The product itself is great but you'll have to blend quickly before it sets. Medium to full coverage and I feel that it looks better on me after an hour than when just applied.
I dislike the packaging though, a pump should have been included for this.

I had used this for years but have now converted to the cheaper, and better NYC's smooth liquid foundation. ColorStay has great coverage, but it doesn't matter how I apply it, it always looks cakey. It holds up to oil okay, but not as well as my NYC. Plus with ColorStay, once the oil starts coming mid-day, my makeup starts looking gross. It also feels like it's just sitting there on my skin and it's hard to wash off. My husband was glad when I stopped using this. I gave it 4 lippies for the good coverage though.

I love this foundation. It doesn't break me out and it seems to work well on my very oily skin. Sometimes, though, I feel like it's a bit heavy and mask-like, so I generally apply with a sponge to make it more natural looking. The color (Ivory) seems to work fine.

So I've seriously been searching for a long lasting buildable foundation my whole life, and I think I've finally found it!

Pros:
- Lasts forever! (I know you're not suppose to sleep with makeup on, but one night I came home drunk and fell asleep without washing my face or brushing my teeth. The next morning when i woke up, my makeup was still on with complete full coverage!)
- Extremely buildable (I normally apply it with a damp wedge sponge to get sheer to light coverage and then I continue to apply more from there. I have hyperpigmentation and it covers really well for that).
- Good range of colors. (My skin color is kind of hard to find tones that match perfectly. I'm a light olive color with cool yellowish undertones. I did have to try a few until I found the one that matched me, but that was fine because i would rather have a lot to try from then barely any at all).
- Diminishes pores. (I have pretty big pores and this foundation makes it look way smaller).
- Smooth finish. (It leaves your skin looking semi matte and semi dewy. I prefer to have a matte finish so i always use a setting powder which leaves my acne prone, hyperpigmented, oily skin looking healthy, matte, and flawless!)
- Reasonable price (for $10 that's pretty darn awesome).

Cons:
- packaging (it comes in a glass bottle with a screw top, no pump or anything. When I pour it out I always seem to pour way too much).

All in all i love this foundation and i will continue to use it for a long time unless I find something better for cheaper.

The drugstore alternative to estee lauder double wear. Last very well during the day not as well as double wear. Good coverage perfect colormatch 150buff im mac mix of nc15 and nw15 and double wear mix 1w1 bone and 1c1 cool bone. Best application foe me was with a foundation brush. But it breaks me out! It contains 2 comedogenic ingredients SD Alcohol 40 and Sodium Chloride.

This used to be my hg foundation. I don't know what happened! Did the formula change? While it used to cover almost everything and have thicker consistency that lasted all day, now it seems much oilier and thin, and the coverage is low to medium at best. I don't know, maybe I just got a bad bottle, but my much needed full coverage foundation is no longer there. Plus, it broke me out which never happened before. Since I need the coverage, I won't buy this again.

I decided to buy into the hype and try this out. At first, I was impressed with how amazing the coverage was. Then, I started to break out after using it for awhile. I feel like it's too harsh for the skin. It does tend to dry pretty quickly but it's not TOO fast. You also have to be careful because a little can go a long way and if you use too much, it'll get cakey. I would know because I accidentally used too much a couple times. Since there is no pump that kind of becomes a problem. It even has this scent that smells a bit like alcohol to me. The concealer even smells the same. I think I would get this again but I wouldn't be able to get it all the time due to pricing. I know I sound cheap. It is my favorite foundation so far, though.

As a person with acne-prone, slightly scarred, extremely oily skin, this drugstore foundation definitely works for me. I put this away for a while since I could not figure out how to properly apply this without it looking cakey. However, I recently decided to revisit this foundation a whim.

My application best solution for that was mixing my first layer with my moisturizer and BAM! It works wonders. For more coverage, I allow to dry & add another layer. It looks natural and doesn't cake with this method. I wear the shade golden caramel which turns out to be my perfect shade. My scars tend to show through but are not super obvious.

I don't layer on too much since I have not quite figured out how to yet. (I'll re-edit when I do). This is definitely medium to full coverage. Sits lightly on the skin. I do use a primer since my skin is oily and I wear my makeup all day long. The finish is dewy but you can easily mattify with powder.

Compared to Maybelline Superstay, I prefer Revlon CS any day. It looks less obvious and stays matte longer.

I love this foundation! I have odd combination skin that's prone to break outs, but I haven't had a single one since I started using this.

I apply it over a moisturiser with a Real Techniques buffing brush. You have to work quickly, and the smell is a bit off putting, but it fades as soon as it dries.

I did find that I had a few dry patches of skin when I first started using it, but that stopped happening after about 2 weeks.

Big con is that there is no pump. Great foundation though, expensive for a drugstore foundation but definately worth it!

Shade: warm golden (NC37)

Pros

- great coverage
- long wearing
- oil control up to 5 hours

Cons

- no pump
- dries quickly

Comments: Been using this for years. It is my go-to drugstore foundation during the summer months. I can get full coverage with this and good oil control up to 5 hours before I have to touch up. The consistency is on the thick side, so it's harder to blend. I find that this looks best when I have a light mist of glycerin/water on my face prior to application making it look more natural and blend easier. After I have set with powder, I will go back with the glycerin/water mixture and apply to my face using a stippling brush (more control this way). The finish looks natural, not mask-like and melts into the skin...not sit on top of it. This method also works great during the winter, so it's definitely a year round foundation for me.

Will repurchase.
