RIS and at first, I didn't like it. It was very strong and kind of a floral. When it dried down, I really liked it and it's definately worth the price.

Love love love it! Wasn't sure at first but as I wore it more I really grew to love it. Cannot stop smelling my self and have gotten lots of compliments. Only complaint is I find it does not last on me. Can't wait to try the others from this line!UPDATE! I have now tried Antilles and Mexique and still like Tahiti the best, although I am removing a lippie from 1st review as I have a hard time telling the difference between anything from this line.

Smells like fruity bubble gum and/ or the plastic heads of new Barbie dolls. My best friend likes it, my mother thinks it's OK, my sister adores it, and my guy friends think it smells beachy. Not my thing but perhaps someone else's.

I waited several months on back order to received this. I thought it smelled kind of nice, it's not my favorite of the La Maison. I thought it would smell more vanilla, it smells more fruity and powdery. It does dry down to a nice vanilla.

I waited two months for this perfume! Thank goodness I love it! When I first spray it on, it smells like a baby oil but sweeter. The dry down is absolutely luscious and sweet as well as light and powdery. I can't stop smelling myself! The silver bottle is cute, but you can't see how much you have used. I got the 50ml bottle and will be ordering the 100ml soon! I love this flirty, feminine vanilla scent!

I was so anxious to try this. I LOVE vanilla scents, and this one was talked up so much. I finally got it and I really dont like it. It doesnt really smell like vanilla, more like strong powdery/perfumy smell. I asked someone what they thought it smelt like, and they said old lady perfume, and that they never would of guessed vanilla. Its too bad, cause I wanted to like this one soo bad! Now Im scared to try any of the others..maybe Ill like one of them?

Another nice one from La Maison de la Vanille! I love Mexique, which is a smoky, sexy vanilla. Tahiti is a floral, somewhat fruity vanilla. Unique and thoroughly enjoyable. This scent definitely evokes summer for me. I love that none of the LMV scents are sold around here, so they are all mine!

The first time I wore this, it seemed too simple and reminded me of vanilla frosting. I'm glad I revisited it! Perhaps the weather wasn't warm enough for all the notes to develop properly...this seems to reach its full potential in hot, humid weather. Starts out lush and heady, with ylang ylang and sweet fruit (pineapple?). Makes me think of white sand beaches and palm trees. I agree with the reviewer who called it "creamy"--the amber seems to reinforce this. As it develops, it's subtly spiced with cedar and incense, and becomes less sweet through the drydown, which saves it from being cloying. Lasts all day on me.
Edit--this does work in cool weather after all--just need to apply enough of it. It's easy to overdo it in warm weather--a tiny dab'll do ya then--but in winter, if I only apply a dab, all I smell is frosting.

A sweet vanilla fragrance at a great price. Wonderful scent for summer. I have a sample of it and my boyfriend couldn't stop smelling my neck. For that I will definately buy the full size bottle! LOL

I read in InStyle magazine that this was one of Jessica Simpson's favorite scents, so in anticipation of her Dessert Line, I bought this and I LOVE it! I usually never buy the same perfume twice just because I like to switch it up, but I would definitely buy this again. It reminds me of being on a tropical island sipping fruity drinks and laying in the sand soaking up the sun!!!

I like the subdued aspect of the vanilla in this fragrance, but I find the rest of the fragrance fairly bland. I detect neither florals nor "fruity amber", but Wet Naps and thin white musk. The combination is not entirely unpleasant however I'm not really drawn to the fragrance at all.

Now I have never been a vanilla fan but I do love Jessica Simpson I think she is great - and when I read that she wore this in a magazine I had to try it!

When i received it I was pleasantly surprised - this is the best mix of vanilla and fruit - I highly recommend and I get so many compliments about it - everyone says what smells so good! I love this and this has totally became my signature holy grail fragrance!

I totally recommend it to all those vanilla lovers out there!

Do all the La Maison fragrances smell the same or is it me. Tahiti is a little more subtle than say Mexique but very sweet and beautiful. The price of these fragrances are hard to beat.

I agree with FluffyPinkGurl - I just received this a few days ago and absolutely *adore* it! I rec'd it in the mail at work, put it on and it lasted all day. My hubby actually nuzzled my neck when I got home from work! It is a sweet vanilla scent, but not too sweet. In some way, the smell sort of reminds me of how my Du Wop Lip Venom tastes - like a cinnamony-vanilla scent. Vera Wang is my signature fall/winter scent, but this is my new signature spring/summer scent.

I will be purchasing other La Maison de la Vanille scents, too. Very intrigued by these......

I love this scent! Its a fantastic summer scent and it stays with me all day. This is my first La Maison perfume, because I am such a product junkie I had to have it when I heard all the rage...I have worn it the last 3 days and gotten nothing but compliments.

Out of all the La Maison de La Vanilla scents this one is my favorite. It is sweet and creamy. It has a fruity tropical smell also. This one just seems to work for me more than the others. It is a great vanilla and a must try if you like sweet scents. It is sweet but not to sweet. Just right :)

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I've been on the lookout for a good vanilla for sometime now. I have tried L'Artisan's Vanilia, DBF's Golden Oak, SMN's Vaniglia, various CSP's, Lea, etc. and nothing holds a candle to this one. It works really well with my chemistry to produce a creamy vanilla with an exotic flavor. It is reminiscent of Chantecaille Frangipane on first spray (tropical flowers and fruitiness) but settles down to a lush, dreamy vanilla. Like L'Artisan's Vanilia, this has a smokiness to it, but less so than the Vanilia. It has the rich yumminess of the CSP's without being just about the sweetness. It's really like all of the things I admired in other vanilla fragrances rolled into one beautiful silver bottle. The staying power is 8+ hours on me and the price is unbeatable. Best of all, it's perfectly lovely layered with Hot Couture for a soft vanilla-raspberry combo that smells just like rasberry creme brulee. I could see myself wearing Fleurie de Tahiti all year long.

Light and sweet lemony-vanilla scent. Pretty but too light for me.
