I certainly would not purchase this product again! I guess I have overly sensitive lips, but this actually BURNED my top lip! My lip started to get puffy on one side like I had a lip injection gone wrong. Then I noticed a dark brown mark on my lip!!!! Now the puffiness is gone, but the mark remains. I really hope this mark goes away!!!...:0(
Ladies, please be careful with this. This product gave me contact dermatitis on the lips. It is taking WEEKS for this to go away. The derm recommended Auquaphor, which is the only thing that is curing the problem. After doing research on the internet, this is a recurring problem with some people. I wish I had NEVER tried this!!!

This is a good basic lip balm..I bought it only because I didn't own a tin lip balm at all and I really wanted one that i could dip my finger in rather than just smooth on directly, so I bought this one at a health foods store while I was stocking up on supplements....I was in love with it when I first started using it..It keeps my lips smooth and hydrated without being too overpowering...The scent is very nice and minty too, which I love because it makes your breath come off as minty-ish too...Sometimes if I wear it too long, it's got a waxy-ness to it but when you just wipe that away, your lips stay smooth and plump....this is generally good for lip moisture...
2012 UPDATE: After consistent use during the time I used this (forever ago), I actually found that this dried/irritated my lips, probably because of all the mint oils and crap in this. I had flaked-up, dry lips even though I was "moisturizing" them with this balm religiously, and I have since realized everything Burts Bees and competely naturale does not agree with my allergenic skin.

Best lipbalm ever! It is refreshing and minty and very light (not greasy/sticky). It lasts forever (I am on my 3rd tin of it and have been using it for just over 8 years). I think if they made a version without peppermint oil I would buy it, because I like to wear this under lipstick to keep my lips from drying out, and the scent can conflict with lipsticks' scents. Oh, and the tin- I agree that it is a little annoying to have to apply it with your fingers, especially when camping/backpacking, but otoh the tin is amazingly durable. Well, actually, the enamel does get banged off, but it is waterproof and everything.

.30oz in metal tin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ingredients:
Coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, peppermint oil, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), lanolin, comfrey root extract, rosemary extract
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Basically, this is like the classic lip balm, but in a small tin. The texture is s bit harder.
~
PROS:
refreshing and long lasting hydration
~
CONS:
unsanitary because I have to dip my finger into the product.
~
I would not repurchase because of the packaging.
