I bought the Pocket Rocket l/g in David, a creamy mauve with no shimmer, and Timothy, a coral pink with iridescent shimmer. Both colors were absolutely gorgeous and I loved the fun packaging! The brush applicator was great with the right amount of bristles that weren't too stiff or flimsy. The texture and application of both colors were great--smooth and creamy. But I could not get over the smell! It was just very off putting for me because it smelt like it was burnt.
If it wasn't for the smell, I would definitely use these.

I bought this product after hearing some reviews on Youtube.. I have Doug.. the colour is nice, its funny having the guy dressed or undressed, the glitter/sparkle is not chunky at all, its quite long lasting.. but the smell is awful.. for me it smells like burnt caramel or something.. and that is the only reason why I would not buy this product again.. I like using products with a nice smell, especially on my lips..

I have Kirk and Doug. I love the way this lip gloss feels, not sticky and yet it has great lasting power. It makes the lines on my lips less visible and it is super juicy and glossy. Now lets talk about the packaging. They reminded me of those cheesy lighters (with naked girls) from gas station..lol but I still think its cute =) Everyone talked about the smell.. yeah, the smell it is very weird. Giving a D on the smell, thanks for making it smell weird.

I have David. I was very hesitant on purchasing this lip gloss because the smell is so strong. It is some sort of weird cereal smell, I very disliked. I didn't like how it felt the first time I applied it either. But after a while, the smell went away, the feeling was much better and made my lips look amazing! Now I am in love with this lipgloss ... and David

I bought this based on a review on YouTube. I bought Kirk. I love nude lipsticks, glosses, liners, etc. At first, I didn't like how goopy the gloss went on. But after a few minutes it kind of thickened into more of a moisturized texture - which I love! The smell is kind of strong when you first put it on, but that diminishes also within a few minutes. Overall, the color is great over any of my lipsticks (I wouldn't really wear it alone as Kirk doesn't provide much color) and it is very moisturizing.
I agree with other reviewers that I wouldn't exactly whip this out at work (or maybe public in general) because of the art on the packaging. But I would definitely recommend that any gloss fanatic try this product and I am looking forward to trying out the other dudes.
BTW- this does fit nicely into your pocket.

LOVE this gloss! I have Timothy and think I'll go back to snag David. On my pigmented lips, Timothy is a sheer reddish coral, soo beautiful and instantly brightens my complexion. I have very dry lips and can only use lip products from Guerlain (MAC lipsticks are my enemy!) but this is super moisturizing. Even when it dries down after eating it looks like a pretty stain without drying out my lips. The packaging is fun but I won't be putting this on at work (if I want anyone to take me seriously), and I actually like the savoury pancake syrup scent. So delicious.
UPDATE- bought David, a pink mauve and Jesse, blackberry, and threw out all my other lipglosses. UD please never discontinue this!

LOVE this product! Got this in Doug and of course the reason I purchased this was to 'undress a man at the flick of my wrist' and I also love the colour of this. So sparkly, yet somehow natural pigmentation. It's great, non-sticky and lasts a good few hours. The smell also grows on you!

The doug color is a very nice pink/rose color. it's very pigmented. it goes on smooth and ist NOT sticky. it is glossy but not too dramatic, just a healthy colored glow. i don't like the packaging of boys in boxers. i prefer a rockstar person...that would look more like urban decay ;) I only gave 3 lippies because of the smell/taste. To me it smells like buttery cereal.

I went through a week long period where I absolutely had to get one of these. The colors were great, I thought the packaging was hilarious (despite the fact that the whole phermones deal seemed like a selling ploy). And (most) of the men were hot! I looked forward to looking at them when I applied my lip gloss. The applicator is a brush, not one of those stupid rabbits feet or doe foot or whatever you call it (I hate those things!). The lip gloss applied nicely and I loved how they were sheer, yet pigmented. I thought that UD was very creative with its packaging, and like I said, I simply had to have one. I dragged my friend to Sephora and I went right to them. As soon as I opened the bottle and got a whiff of the "creme brulee" scent, I screwed that cap back on, put it down, and walked away. It smells awful! It was kind of nauseating. The lip gloss was expensive, and for what it cost me, I was willing to spend three bucks more on a Stila lip glaze. They are way better! Fun idea, bad execution!

I have two of these, Kirk and Doug. I bought Kirk and did a review on him/it back in July but decided to do a new one after getting Doug. Bottom line: I love these glosses. First of all, the smell. It's like waffles with maple syrup and brown sugar. If that sounds like scent overload, well, it kind of is, but I love foodie scents so it's ok with me. The scent goes away over time though. The texture of Kirk is very smooth and not too sticky. Doug is similar but I can sometimes feel the glitter in it. Kirk is a caramel-nude color that works on everyone because it's so sheer. Doug is a light, sparkly pink which I imagine would also flatter most people. At $19 each these aren't cheap, but they last a long time, both the staying power and the tubes so imo they're worth it.

I got this at Sephora in the color "James" (bc my bf's name is James =] ) and I really like this.
-The packaging is genius! Though the tube is isnt that flat. When laid flat compared to a tube of lipgloss per say MAC lipglasses, it's the same tube thickness. Whatever its not a big deal. I love the guys on the applicator, what an ingenious way to incorporate what girls love best, men and beauty products!
-The color James is a hot pink with blue duocrome shimmer. The shimmer isnt that noticable on the lips which is fine but the bright pink in the tube leaves a sheer wash of pink on my fairly pigmented lips so it could be a bit more pigmented for my liking.
-Its really non sticky. Its thick but it really moisturizes my lips and smoothes the fine lines on my lips. The gloss is defnitely long lasting.
-The scent smells like pancakes and syrup and a little nuttiness and while it's kind of strong it doesnt really bother me. As for the taste I don't find it super flavored which is fine bc flavored glosses get a bit cloying and gross.
-I really like these and I'm definitely going back to get these in Timothy and Kirk. =)

RIP OFF!! this lipgloss is a huge gimmick. First the only hot guys in the collection are Eric and Jesse the rest of them are fugly. The only color that looked/seemed interesting to me was Jesse but boy was I wrong, it's a very average SHEER berry color with no visible shimmer, it also smells horrid! worse than their lipsticks about as bad as nars' lip laquers. UD please bring back the lipgunks these suck.

Tried Kirk on in Sephora. Had to wipe it off right away because of the smell! It was extremely nutty and I don't dislike nuts, but this was too overpowering for me. Couldn't think of any other aspects of the gloss, whether it be good or not (such as texture and lasting power), because I had to wipe it off right away. Just be sure the scent works for you before purchasing.

I don't know why I've never written a review for this- I bought James when it was first released. I liked the look of the buy on the front (not going to lie, that's what determined the color for me) and it seemed like a really hilarious idea.I hated the taste, but loved the texture, lastability, and color.
The glosses are made with hylaronic acid, which has a distinct feel- almost like a primer- on the lips. It also binds moisture, and I find this lipgloss more nourishing than many products that are made specifically for that purpose.
All of the pocket rocket lipglosses are fairly sheer, but that makes them easy to dress up or down. They can be layered or worn on their own and for event they're particularly nice because there's rarely a need to touch them up!
I think I'll get Eric next. I'm almost out of the one have! With as many lipglosses as I own it's pretty impressive for one to keep my attention for this long!

I just about died laughing when I first saw these - what a funny, kitschy concept! What a hilarious gift for others. But I knew if I was gonna give these as gifts, I'd have to try one for myself. I was wary due to comments re: the scent - it's supposed to be creme brulee I think (it's written on the packaging that I threw out), but it's more like a coffee/maple/burnt sugar...it's a'ight, not my fave but not terrible either. Because lighter glosses tend to disappear on MMM Asian me, I chose "Eric," a "sheer true red." (Though David & Jesse are my more physical types, ha). "Eric" is really sheer, more like a deep pink on me but with enough pigment to have presence. And the shine is awesome. Overall, it looks great on me, especially when I'm barefaced & just want something on me while doing the laundry in my building, running errands, or something like that. $20 is a little steep but you're paying for the hilarity of it all too. This is my present-idea for my closest females this year - a few birthdays & then for Xmas. One close friend got hers in Sept, she was surrounded by guys at her work when it arrived & everyone died laughing! No word from her yet how she liked the gloss however... Problem re: giving these as gifts is you don't know whether to cater to the best gloss color for people or their guy types (after much thought, I'm going w/ the best gloss color)! This product isn't something I'm gonna rush out to replace when I finish it, but overall, I'm very much enjoying using this.

I had seen these glosses on the Urban Decay display at Ulta a few times, giggled a little at the kitschy packaging and passed them by. A few days ago, my Ulta had a UD event and this was the gloss the makeup artist used on me. Sold!
The texture is divine. Slick and smooth without being sticky. My lips tend to be somewhat dry, even with a gloss sometimes, but this gloss was nicely moisturizing. And the smell... YUM! I was told it was supposed to be creme brulee, but it smells like pancakes smothered in syrup to me. It's pretty strongly scented too. Not enough to interfere with tastes but enough to get some nice whiffs sometimes. I enjoy it, but if you don't like this scent, it won't fade so pass on this gloss. Wear was good for a gloss. It didn't survive eating, but it did wear for about 3 hours before needing reapplication.
Yes, the packaging is cheesy, but I love camp so it's right up my alley. The packaging is also the perfect shape for keeping in your pocket, which is sheer genius for those times when you don't feel like carrying your whole purse (quite often for me).
I purchased the shade in Eric because that's my boyfriend's name. I told you I like camp! You were warned. Anyway... Eric is a sheer red that looks quite pretty as a pop of color with my everyday makeup. If you want to ease into a bold red lip, Eric would be a good starting choice.
The makeup artist at Ulta used James on me. In the tube, it looks bright pink, but it's a little more muted on the lip. It's actually kind of similar in shade to XXX Shine Gloss in Naked, though James is a little pinker. I will probably be purchasing James as well.
I think these might be my favorite glosses.

I've been having a good chuckle over other people's comments on this product. This came as part of a sample from the limited Urban Decay Hall of Fame pack from Sephora; it came with the huge tube of UDPP and some mini-sized products, and the only product I really like aside from the eye primer is the eyeliner. The color of the gloss is "Timothy-Weekend Prep", a "creamy coral with pink glow", which is completely unsuitable for me, but the color was sheer and even enough that I could use it if I wanted a warmer look. Aside from the sleazy, uber-cheesy packaging with the bland-looking pretty boys, the product is only so-so. The taste aspires to be Buxom sugar cookie, but fails by being a bit too caramel sweet, and the texture is a little bit goopy, though I do like how the color spreads out. If I want to spend that much on a lip gloss, I'll go with Buxom anytime. And, come one, "Pocket Rocket", for crying out loud...: D
Edit: Took it out again...the smell and taste got to me badly. I'm throwing this out. I'm adding back a lippie because, despite all the negatives, it does have good color.

TIMOTHY is a cheerful, glowy pink that brightens up my corpse-like n10/15 complexion instantly. Just this, a bit of foundation and mascara, and then I’m ready to go!
The gloss is non-sticky, non-drying, has good lasting power and has a crème brûlée flavor.
I love, love, love the packaging!! I’ll admit; I chose my colour because I loved the hunky model :)

I am so glad I got this as a beauty insider perk from Sephora and didn't buy this. I had really wanted to try some of these and this saved me from having to go through yet another return with Sephora (don't get me wrong Sephora has the best return policy on earth, but returns are never fun). I was actually thinking of buying Doug (which is what I got in the sample tube), so at least I got to try one I had been interested in. I ended up buying Buxom Lips in "April" instead and never looked back (absolutely gorgeous high gloss pink). I must say that Bare Escentuals Buxom lip glosses blow these glosses out of the water. There's just no contest.
As some of the other reviewers noted, there is this odd and distinctly unpleasant taste and scent to this gloss. At first whiff you get what appears to be a candy like scent which reminded me for a half a second of the lovely scent of Buxom Gloss, but that quickly faded and turned into something nasty within a few seconds. It sort of made me a little nauseous to be honest. A sickening sweet scent that smells of rancid, burnt caramel or something (and I usually love caramel). Its pretty grim when you get some of it in your mouth too. Its got a very bitter taste to it.
That said the color is nothing to write home about. Doug was a very generic looking pink that reminded me of 80's lip gloss or something. No high shine, very little luster and no plumping or real impact on the lips. In fact it imparts a very generic looking shine that you could probably find cheaper at your local drugstore. It does not come with a wand which was also disappointing (brushes are messier). Its not a terrible gloss, but it just kind of lies there being rather unremarkable and bland (and they do need to do something about the taste and scent). The one thing I will give this gloss is that it is very moisturizing and feels more like a balm than a gloss (in fact it gives you no more shine than you can find in most balms and feels like one too).
The gimmicky packaging is a bit tacky as well. I hate being stuck with a picture of a guy I would not even look twice at, so it's very presumptuous to think we are going to find these guys hot and want to see them every time we pull out our gloss. I don't get the marketing concept on these at all. They could have used the same cute packaging and left out the guys and their corresponding names. I want names like Pink Champagne or Sparkling Pink Lemonade or something rather than just Doug. Doesn't work for me. If you want really good gloss, look no further than Buxom Lips. They have quite a collection of colors and every time I put that on I swear it feels like I am getting a lip massage. It just feels so good on that you want to wear it all day long. The glosses are really high gloss and the colors stunning. I also love love love the scent of Buxom Lips. Just glad it was a sample. Saved me the trouble of having to box it up and send it back.

Most people don't like the smell but to me it's completely sexy and ughhhh I just LOVE kissing my hubby with it on. It's slighty sweet in taste too, like buttery burnt sugar, hhhhmmmmm!
I do get a little embarassed though when my older aged friends see the naked guy in my purse. I'm no pervert and did not buy the gloss for this reason, but I admit...it does make me laugh. It's a cute sexual idea for a makeup product.
Blah blah, anyways...I LOVE the shine from the color and it's not sticky but it's reasonably thick for it to stay on for a good hour! These colors are extremely sexy and look even BETTER applied over a lipstick that compliments the gloss!
My favorite is "Kirk" which is an extremely shiny nude gloss. It's not too strong in color, it look like light brown water on your lips if that makes sense. I use this over Mac's Blankety and it always makes my lips look kissable!
