Originally I wanted to purchase Studio Fix Fluid but the girl at MAC insisted I tried this one instead. I have dry, flaky skin but only during the cold weather. I think this foundation is much more ideal for winter time. In the summer, I HATED it because after a few hours, it made my skin so oily when I don't even have oily skin to begin with! I put it away for a few months and when winter came around, I gave it another try. I do like it because it gives me decent coverage (I still need concealer), it minimizes the appearance of my pores, doesn't look cakey, and lasts through a typical school day for me. I do like the packaging for sanitary purposes and you don't need to use a lot of product. I only gave three stars because it was meh, nothing you can't achieve from a drugstore foundation.

I have oily/combination skin with quite a lot of redness to cover up. I apply this foundation with a beauty blender and a flat brush.
This is a foundation that I will always have in my kit. A little goes a very, very long way and I've had my bottle for almost 5 months and I used this at least 6 days a week and a foundation must last 8-10 hours a day.
When I put on the foundation I love the bottle and the ease that i can squeeze out the amount that I need. It's also quite easy to blend.
Throughout the day the finish stays much the same as I applied it in the morning. I do think that I get quite an oily forehead. It's not an incredible amount but it's still there. I know this is not an oil control foundation so yeah I shouldn't complain I know.
I can have bad skin days when this foundation picks up all the flakiness on my skin that I could never see with moisturiser and primer on.
CONS: I do think there should be more of a range of colours in this foundation, more oil control and if it's not applied well it can get a bit cake-y with powders on. I use at least 4 different powders on my cheeks and face at one time i.e. highlighter, setting powder, bronzer, blush.
Like I said before I will always have a bottle of this foundation, it's not my HG but it's actually very close.

I bought this foundation when I was recommended it at the MAC counter for my dry skin. Firstly if you have very dry skin, this is NOT for you. I find it a little too thick for that but it's great for dry-normal skin. It's got fantastic coverage definitely up to the most extreme full coverage you can get but when I use it for full coverage it takes a VERY long time to dry and remains sticky for a long time (in my personal experience, others say it dries very fast) so it definitely needed a powder. I'm not one to spend that much on foundation however my skin gives me a lot of trouble so thought I'd give it a go. I'd be happy to buy it again however I'm trying out other foundations at the moment to see if I can find a cheaper alternative. It has a nice texture that's not too thick but it is one of the thicker foundations I've tried, something between a gel and a.. almost light mousse kinda texture and doesn't feel heavy on the face. Doesn't really budge at all, the packaging is practical (it's a nice squeeze tube) but for how much you pay I kinda wished it was prettier.

I gave this a 4 overall rating.

I like this product alot ONLY when I need full coverage on my face. The product is very very thick and not so easy to work with. You can mix this with MAC's face and body or use it very lightly to give medium/light coverage.

This is a heavy duty foundation and thick.

The shade is nice. If you apply it slowly and carefully it will look good and the coverage is better than other foundations I've been using (I need good overage for acne scarring), like Too Faced foundation. I put Maybelline Dream Matte loose powder over it, which worked well. LAter in the day the foundation started to look cakey and it accentuated dry spots. Make sure you moisturize well before pplying this foundation.
I used this on my eyelids and under my eyes, and it didn't crease up too much. Just don't apply too much and apply it slowly, patting it into your fragile eye area.
This doesn't oxidize as much as the pro longwear and is less liquidy, more creamy.
Overall I don't like how it tends to cake up and takes a full 6 minutes or so to apply, however the coverage is good and shade is good for my fair, yelow-undertoned face.

Update: This has poor lasting power. It separates and dissolves into skin after several hours. Then it looks kind of oily and cakey making skin look older.

My HG foundation is MAC's F&B because I prefer a dewy, sheer finish. I don't have a lot to cover up, except some redness here and there. But I wanted another foundation with a little more coverage for special occasions or just whenever I wanted to feel a little more glam and "done up". I also wanted a somewhat natural finish vs. a straight matte finish, as I don't like looking cakey or powdery. This foundation is more of a satin finish but still covers nicely. It's a gel consistency and a little goes a long way. I use NC25. Sometimes I'll mix a spot of MAC's Strobe Cream for a luminous sheen on the skin. So far no break outs, but again, I only wear it maybe once a week. I apply it with my Sigma F82 and it blends in wonderfully. The coverage is medium to heavy, as it's buildable. It is best suited for winter, IMO. It clings to dry patches on my skin and emphasizes them. Overall it's a pretty decent foundation, just not sure I'll buy again.

A good foundation - medium build-able coverage, non cakey, easy to blend, long lasting. I used up a tube of this and headed to the Mac counter to buy another in NC20 instead of NW15, but the lady at the counter was incredibly rude, she tried the foundation in NC20 on me and when I asked if I could wear it around for the day to see if the colour matched me okay, she just gave me a bad look and walked off. Does she except me to pay $55 for a foundation that might not even match my skin colour? She also blended it really terribly on my face and left patches where my skin was showing through. Not impressed at all, I ended up heading to the Chanel counter where I got amazingly good service and brought a foundation there instead.

I've used this foundation twice now in NC15 and NC20 because I hate being so fair skinned. I love how long it lasts, I wore it through a 5 hour drive to London, 9 hours in an airport and through a 12 hour flight and it looked untouched and the coverage was still full and dewy.
If you don't like thick, full coverage makeup - this isn't for you. The only problem with it for me is I love new foundations and I'm bored if this one, I haven't found a foundation that's consistent and gave me 'flawless skin.'
If I find this ultimate foundation, studiosculpt will still be my second favourite.
I love it!

I LOVE this foundation! It's like in between a cream and a liquid foundation but combines all the positive things you want out of both. It's rich and creamy but not cakey at all, it leaves your skin looking like skin. You only need a small amount to cover your entire face! I use a blending brush to apply it but it also works fine with your hands. The tube looks small but trust me, this products lasts for a VERY long time, I've had it for about 8 months now and use it almost every day!
Skin type:
As a lady with combination skin I can say that it is suitable for all skin types, when I have oily days or extra dry days I can still use this foundation and find that it works, the only thing is that I definitely have to powder it on oily days.
Finish:
One of the most natural finishes I've ever had with a foundation, it blends into your skin rather than sit on it and leaves your skin looking healthy and slightly glowing. Good news for oily skin ladies who don't want to look matte but need a foundation that lasts!
Coverage:
Very good coverage, nicely pigmented so it covers really nicely, I can use it over my acne scars, dark spots, under-eye circles and not really feel the need to use concealer unless I really want to look flawless. It isn't heavy even if you wanted to build it up with several layers, it wont look cakey as long as you blend it well! Can be sheared down very easily too, just use a very small amount or mix it with cream or fix +.
Lasting power:
It definitely lasts all day, I can wear this for 10 hours or more and still know that it's there. It can get a bit oily after some time however it still remains on your face and doesn't slip and slide around. I will use an oil absorbing sheet if I need to and/or blot powder however I've only ever had to do this in the summer when my skin is extra oily, still this foundation sticks to my face though! The only negative thing is that it does darken slightly over time, I notice that after wearing it for a few hours my skin will start to look a bit darker and not really match my neck anymore, powdering it does delay this reaction however.
Cons:
NW15 is still a bit too dark and darkens even more with time. Also surprisingly yellow despite being an NW.
Pros:
Lasting power, coverage, finish, price, packaging.

I used this in NC-44 for two weeks. This foundation has a thick consistency but set nicely on my skin. Unfortunately, after wearing this for 4+ hours my face would become extremely oily. I don't use primer, but I do set my fdtn with either pressed or loose powder. I didn't notice any breakouts but I did have to really wash my face to get this off my skin. WIll not repurchase.

I absolutely hate this foundation. I went to MAC and asked one of the girls working to help me find a foundation that was full coverage, however which wouldn't make me look extremely white in photos where a flash is used. She went straight to studio sculpt, got the lightest shade and put it on my cheek with a sponge. She told me it was flawless coverage and that the flash would have no effect on it. I paid $70 for this. Then I used it a few days later for the first time to go to my friend's party. I started to apply it with a brush (MAC 190) and it looked absolutely awful. It was the consistency of a BAD concealer, would not blend out at all, and made me look completely washed out. It also stuck to every hair on my face and just looked awful. I used my fingers to try and blend it out and do the best job I could, tried to make myself look normal. I went to the party and the next day when I saw the photos, my face looked absolutely porcelain and my body looked extremely tan. I looked ridiculous. I would NEVER purchase this thick, awful foundation again and also will never trust a MAC makeup counter girl as they obviously can't find products to meet people's needs.

I have had this for about a month now and I am really liking it. The color I am using, NC15 seems to fit me pretty good. I have had problems in the past with using foundations that would end up either looking orange later on in the day or they would have a yellowish tint to them that I don't need to have on my face. I am a cool-toned, pale face with pinky undertones. So it is refreshing to find a foundation that fits my skintone and actually stays the same color all throughout the day. Another thing: I have dry skin and the saleslady told me that this foundation had something in it that would help keep my face moisturized and I think she might be right. I have noticed my face doesn't seem to feel dried out after I've taken it off at night. And my dry patches are not accentuated either when I wear Studio Sculpt. That was another problem I had in the past with other foundations. So this is a winner for me so far!

Okay, first of all I really loved the feel of it and how it glided onto my skin. I loved how my skin didn't get all oily and actually had pretty good coverage. However, luckily I got the sales assistant to actually do a full face match. By the end of the day I was loving it!! However when I removed it I got a massive whitehead!! Argh, its very annoying but I guess sampling it before opening the package made me able to refund it!!

This is my first very negative review on mua. I absolutely hated this stuff. It made me break out so bad. I am a nw20 but this stuff made me look more orange than any other foundation ive ever used. so besides looking like someone from jersey shore i also had acne all over my face. I then found out mac has some ingredients that make people break out. However i have never had an issue with blushes or bronzers from mac. I would never recommend this foundation to anybody and this actually was recommended to me by one of the artists at mac.

I am using studio sculpt NC25 with the pressed powder from MAC in NC20 and i love it! I squeeze a little of it on a sponge and apply it on my face before setting the liquid foundation with pressed powder. I don't usually use a primer nor do i touch up throughout the day. It gives my skin a natural radiance which i love! The funny thing is that i have oily / combination skin so i am not sure why the SA recommended studio sculpt instead of studio fix (i am planning to try studio fix just to see how that goes). The foundation wears well for about 5 - 6 hours in the hot Singapore climate before it drops off though but as this is without any touchups, i am still pretty happy with it. Compared to other brands, MAC is pretty reasonably priced at 59 SGD! Of course, BB creams are always cheaper but so far only the Hanskin range work - still looking!

Update: Face shop Aqua tinted BB cream works for me too! less coverage but ideal for weekends! Also, tested out studio fix and it seems patchy. Not sure why but i guess studio sculpt is the one for me.

I cannot believe I've been wearing this on and off since the day it was released and never reviewed it. I'm actually on my 4th tube? I love this however, I can see why some do not. A lot of people say that it looks/feels heavy, it's hard to apply....It looks like a cream but it is, in fact, a gel(ish) foundation so application is key. Once I figured it out, it does not look heavy or cakey and it lasts all day. I have dry skin PLUS I just moved to Colorado a few months ago. The foundations I once thought were great don't look so hot anymore in this dry climate. I LOVE THIS on my dry skin. It looks so good and it doesn't dry me out and really makes me look less dry.
How I apply...moisturize, prime...I dot a bit where I want, stipple out with the Sigma F84 as it is less dense than the others or just apply tiny amounds and blend with my fingers...but it blends well...THEN I gently stipple/press with a beauty blender just to make sure there's no excess and it's pressed in (think Shiseido SP Liquid Foundation). That method works really well for me. I can't imagine just applying this as you would any other foundation as it would apply heavy-looking, I think the fact that it looks like a cream but is a gel-based foundation throws us off, application is just different. I love it, keep coming back to it and it's perfect for dry skin/dry climate.

The best foundation I have ever tried! I have a terrible time with foundation oxidizing on my skin, and this one remains true to colour the entire time I'm wearing it. It's the first liquid foundation I have ever found that actually matches my fair, cool toned skin (I got it in NC15). The finish is beautiful and natural, not too shiny, but not matte. It barely looks like I'm wearing foundation, yet it has pretty good coverage (I would say medium coverage). I have combination skin, with some dry areas and some slightly oily areas and this foundation is super long wearing! It doesn't cling to or emphasize any dry areas, yet stays looking flawless all day. The only other foundation that is as long wearing that I've tried is Revlon Colorstay. But this one is long wearing AND moisturizing. The most amazing part is that when I wash it off my skin feels super soft! Like I was wearing a luxurious facial mask or something. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and this foundation has definitely not irritated my skin or made it break out in any way. It's absolutely amazing!

Even though this foundation isn't an HG, it really gives me a great finish to the skin. It provides medium coverage leaning more towards full. Although its great, I still need a concealer when I use it. I used this product for three or four months and I actually never broke out from it. The only complaint is the staying power is pretty garbage to me. After about 5 hours my skin gets very oily which is fine depending on the season but during the summer it is not the business!
