never again! packaging is great and it has a pump so its easy to use....BUT it made my skin look even more dry the shades they have are not that great the shade i tend to get for this line made me look ghostly and it just screams out "im wearing make up" doesnt blend well just overall not great...

This foundation is waay too thick to apply nicely on your face. It's quite hard to blend and leaves my face looking bloutchy. It also has such a powdery finish, didn't really like this product and its finish.

I have been trying to go all natural with my makeup, but with no natural foundation under my belt that made me 100% happy and a wedding coming up I had to venture back into non natural foundations. I have tried the Dream Matte Mousse which gave excellent coverage but didn't sit well on my skin, so I decided to try the liquid instead. I've had this one for a few days and here are my initial thoughts.

I am very fair and there are two fair options. Porcelain Ivory which is the fairest has a pink tint and Classic Ivory which is a bit darker but warmer. I have the great fortune of being extremely pale with warm undertones so as usual this creates a bit of a dilemma for me. Porcelain Ivory is light enough, but would make my face look red. Classic Ivory is the right undertones, but is a shade too dark. I decided to try Classic Ivory. I apply with a stippling brush and rub in circles until the application is smoothed out and this works well. I then apply mattifying finishing powder.

First of all, it does give a nice finish. It evens out the skin well and does have an airbrushed look to it similar to the Dream Matte Mousse which I liked so much. At first it looked significantly darker and orange-y, but once it set and I had finishing powder on the color improved and looked much better. It's still a bit too dark for me but it's passable. I will most likely purchase the Porcelain Ivory and add a drop in to the Classic Ivory lighten it.

One of the other reasons I picked this was because it appeared to have no sun screen added. For photos at the wedding I want something without sunscreen because it will bounce light off my face which will wash me out even more than I already am (I am extremely fair skinned!) and make me look shiny. However, I have noticed that it has a touch of luminescence to it that looks oily very quickly. I am not using a mattifying primer and will try that to try to make this work. The ultimate test will be taking some photos with it on to see if the coverage looks as good in a photo as it does in real life. I often find that in photos it looks like I am not wearing foundation for some reason. Perhaps this has to do with the way light bounces off my very fair skin, I am not sure. It also hasn't helped with covering my large pores on my cheeks and the shininess actually makes it look worse. Hopefully this can also be corrected with a good primer.

OVERALL:
PROS:
- Reasonably priced and easy to find
- Good packaging with a pump
- Good coverage
- No sun screen, better for photos
CONS:
- Hard to match with warm fair skin tones
- Looks a little shiny on oily skin

I am around an NC30 purchased sandy beige medium 1.
combo skin (oily tzone)
I first tried it without a primer because I was out.
I hated it with a passion.
It wasnt until i used it with smashbox photo finish primer that i absolutely fell in love.
i advise using a primer at all times with this foundation.
the coverage = medium, can lead to full coverage.
finish= satin, smooth and flawless with the help of primer of course.
if you want ultimate staying power set with a light dusting of powder and set with UD All Nighter setting spray.
I tested this in AZ heat outside at the zoo walking for hours and my foundation had little shine

This will be long but hopefully help someone else trying to figure out which color may be best suited to them and whether they even want to bother purchasing.

For reference I was colormatched to MAC Matchmaster in 2.0 which, according to MAC's foundation chart, is equivalent to MAC Studio Fix NW 20 (light-medium)

My skin is: neutral beige with pink undertones
NW = neutral warm (80% pink, 20% yellow)

The debate as to what constitutes "warm" and "cool" rages all over the internet. What I discerned (and of course I may be wrong) is this:

For MAC ONLY:

warm undertones - are pink/red

cool undertones - are yellow/golden

APART FROM MAC it goes the opposite:

warm undertones - are yellow/golden

cool undertones - are pink/red

Reason being (purportedly), MAC uses the color wheel to allocate colors a "tonal" quality and evidently on a color wheel pink/red is considered "warm"? I.E. a fire (hot) glows red.

COLOR: Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse in Nude, Light 4 matches my skin on 10.1.12 perfectly. Nude Beige, Light 3.5 gives the tiniest of whitish tints to my skin. Perhaps if deeper in to winter the #4 begins looking “orange-y” on me I’ll need to use that color. Sandy Beige, Medum 1 is too orange-y: perhaps when my face is tan?

LOOKS ON SKIN: It says "airbrushed finish" on the bottle and I have to say it really does do a wonderful job of blurring my pores and evening out my skin tone without looking or it feeling like I have a mask on my face. When I say the color matches my skin perfectly, boy do I mean it. You truly cannot tell I have makeup on and I tested it in front of a large window on a bright, sunny day.

OIL CONTROL?: I have oily skin and this wears very well. I set with e.l.f. HD Powder as well as a tinted pressed powder but only a light dusting of each. I don't have gobs of makeup on nor does it look or feel that way. I wore this for a full day when the humidity was throuh the roof and I didn't get that "shiny" look (hate that).

YMMV. It works for me and I'm happy dancing to have finally found a foundation that I can call my own!

MY OTHER FOUNDATION CHOICES/COLORS:

Revlon Colorstay ("CS") LIQUID Combination/Oily Skin (not with Soft Flex!) – 180 - Sand Beige (just a wee bit too light)

Revlon CS LIQUID Combination/Oily Skin (WITH Soft Flex) – 220 - Natural Beige (matches my skin if not 100% very, very close)

Revlon CS LIQUID Combination/Oily Skin (WITH Soft Flex) – 240 - Medium Beige (seems to match the Mac Matchmaster 2.0 best)

Revlon CS WHIPPED - 200 - Sand Beige

Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup – 220 - Light-Medium

L'Oreal True Match Super-blendable, Oil-free Natural Beige, W4 matches my skin 10.1.12 perfectly. Sand Beige, W5 gives the tiniest of whitish tints to my skin. Perhaps if deeper in to winter the W4 begins looking “orange-y” on me I’ll need to use that color.

Happy Hunting - good luck to all! :)

I absolutely love this foundation! it's a perfect mixture of not too heavy and not too light that it doesn't cover any blemishes or imperfections. The shades are very good as well, and i love the colour of the foundation on my skin and it lasts me throughout the whole entire day, without smudging or fading off. Although one thing i don't like about this foundation is that it often gives me breakouts. My skin is usually clear and i don't get very many breakouts but i feel whenever i use this foundation i breakout a lot more than usual. Overall, one of the best foundations i have ever bought andy recommend anybody to try it! it is also a pretty decent price compared to other foundations..

I read some of the negative reviews on this foundation after I had already picked it up on a whim at my local drugstore, and I was worried I'd wasted my money. I have combination skin (dry flakes on my nose and an oily T-zone). I moisturized and then put on my ProActiv Daily Oil Control before I put on this foundation. At first I didn't think I liked it, as it didn't blend very well and looked somewhat splotchy. However, about 15 minutes after I'd set it, it looked lovely. It really does give my skin an airbrushed look (although if you get extremely close to my face, it does seem to settle a bit in the very fine lines I have around my mouth). This is by no means my HG foundation, but it is worth a try for the very reasonable price.

Great drug store foundation, I have found in awhile! Really creamy, great for my dry skin, and blended like a dream! Love the fact that there is NO smell at all, and no sunscreen. Looks flawless in pics. The pump works great, you get only what you need. I applied this with just my finger tips, and blend with a sponge. Finished with a power on top, and looks flawless! Will be purchasing agin!

I wanted to like this but since I have acne-prone skin it broke me out! Also, the lightest shade was still a bit dark for my porcelain skin so if you're very light-skinned like me it could be a problem. I liked how it glides on so easily, more easy than most liquid foundations.

It gives good coverage but boy is it thick. It's not very blend able either. It easily looks streaky on your face and changes color through out the day

This is the worst foundation I have ever used. 1. It is very thick, so it ends up looking very cakey. 2. it oxidizes throughout the day. I end up looking like an oompa-loompa! The only reason why I didn't give this product a 1 is because of the packaging. I love the pump, but hate everything else.

I like the pump top for foundation. I tried 3 different shades to try to find the right one, and I think I got pretty close finally, but then started to pay attention to the rest of the quality of the foundation. I decided it didn't last all day the way others do on me. Also, I found that my skin felt icky for the first few hours after applying, like too thick and dewy. I've had better so moving on.

This is another great foundation that I have used on and off for years. It's inexpensive, around 7 dollars depending on where you buy it. I never buy my makeup at Walgreens because they are a few dollars more on everything than let's say Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. Dream Liquid Mousse comes in a glass bottle with a pump ~ it delivers medium to full coverage without making your skin look cakey (normal/dry here) ~ I'm a Mac NW20 on the lighter side and I have this foundation in Porcelain Ivory which is the lightest shade.... it has a pink undertone but not pepto pink ~ a nice color selection but I must say that if you are lighter than an NW20 chances are you will not be able to use this because I am in the lightest shade and I just about made it at an NW20.~ oil-free and fragrance-free ~ no SPF....... which is great for picture taking but if you want the SPF just apply your own before you apply the foundation ~ I use a sponge to apply it and it blends like a dream ~ lasts the entire day with the matching pressed powder on top ~ doesn't change color and stays fresh looking all day long ~ it has a natural finish but in no way, shape, or form dewy/greasy, just perfectly balanced so it will not leave you looking like a dry prune but on the other hand it will not leave you looking shiny ~ If you have normal to dry skin and like good coverage but do not want to spend lots of $$$$ for a department store foundation then I would highly recommend that you give this one a try.

I'm in such a love hate relationship with this product. When I first apply it, it looks so weird to me. Like just wrong I don't even know how to explain it. I've tried applying with my fingers, with brushes, sponges and it just still looks wrong. But after it's been applied and set for a bit I really like it and it looks good and natural. this was no help sorry

Moisturizing, it does recommend to be used for dry or normal skin. I am using the 2.5 shade right now but I will be picking up the lightest shade to blend with. My skin is light with a yellow tone and the 2.5 is great for that. If I want this to be more sheer I mix it half and half with my Avalone Vit C spf lotion. It helps cover my spots and lite melasma, but not completely. This doesn't make my fine lines are pores look more pronounced. Update: Too Orange, err
