This is my HG mascara, purrrrfect for me!
My lashes are very long and satisfactory thick, so what I want from a mascara is to Separate, Enhance Colour, Hold a Curl and if possible to add even more lenght. I am not a fan of dramatic volumized eyes. Flextencils mascara is doing exactly what I want, and adds lenght too. You can obtain a curl effect even without a lash curler, by simply applying a second coat of mascara and pressing it couple of seconds backwards, against the ends of the lashes.
It stays on quite well, without smudging, and no clumps either.
Couldnt want a better one, worth all the money!

I really had high hopes for this, but it made my lashes absolutely rigid and it is soo hard to remove! Not impressed being as I paid £20 for it. Also it dried out in about a month.

Either you like it or you don't. It's expensive mascara. You could easily find a drugstore mascara that's better than this that costs way way way way cheaper. There's nothing special about this except that it didn't clump. Too much $$$.

This is my HG mascara!! I have been using this product for 3 years now. I have long but straight lashes. I do have to use an eyelash curler before applying this mascara. The mascara does curl and lengthen. Makes my lashes really lush!!

Great mascara overall.......but i think my anna sui's supermacara waterproof does everything better........cost less......and the lancome mascara dries off really quickly.....i feel like it's not even the same mascara after 3 weeks or so......so expensive to buy one every month..............so i've ditched it....

Eyelash Description: Short Asian lashes. I need lots of volume and curl to even see them!

Price: $28.50CDN

Purchase again: YES

Best Qualities: Curls my eyelashes and keeps it curled!

Worst Qualities: expensive, doesn't give me as much volume as Hypnose

I love the mascara. It was recommended to me by my French teacher. She is a faithful Lancome user. I was using Hypnose before I tried this, and what I liked about Hypnose was that it gave me a lot of volume, and kept my eyelashes curled after I curled it with the eyelash curler. This mascara defiantly kept my eyelashes curled, but I would need to use the eyelash curler, I can not use rely on the mascara itself. What I really liked about it, is that it still gave me some extra volume, and it lengthened my lashes. I would definatly buy it again!

I normally like lancome products, however this product is inferior and overpriced. It clumps easily , it flakes, and i find it doesnt do anything special for your lashes. It also is harsh on your lashes IMO, and while i was using this product i have short stubby thin lashes. Since i stopped using this product my eyelashes have doubled in volume. save your $$$!

I think this is a hit and miss mascara. It goes with some and doesn't with others. In my case the first time I tried it, I was truly satisfied with it ,actually it was more like "fantabulous!". I do have thick lashes to begin with but not long, but when I tried it, this was the only mascara that didn't have a weird smell or made my lashes dry or heavy or smudgy [like l'oreal's voluminous or any of the covergirl mascaras]. Today I've discovered Maybelline's turbo boost volume express in the darkest black I've ever seen and it works great alone but for an oomphalicious, mama mia look, I combine the lancome mascara for an elasto girl performance BOING! then slather on the maybelline one for the POUF! and intensity of colour. The result is breath taking, I've had people staring at my eyes or have had them ask what kind of mascara I use, try it if you can afford it!

Nothing exceptional. Not worth the moolah. Does not curl my lashes. Even when I use my eyelash curler the curl doesn't stay on any longer than other mascaras. I suppose it may lengthen the lashes slightly and coats the lashes nicely, not too thick. However it does smudge and give panda eyes. Overall quite disappointing. Would not repurchase.

I guess it curls ok...but it makes my lashes so stiff and hard, and it gets clumpy easily. It also gives me raccoon eyes. I won't use this mascara again!

Flextencils is a good mascara, for doing the most basic thing a mascara does - coating the lashes. It gave very nice coverage and color, but I never found it creating any curl for my straight lashes. I've tried both the regular and waterproof formulas at this point, and both of them smudged (equally badly) due to my oily skin. The only difference was that the waterproof practically required a jackhammer for removal - cleanser wouldn't take it off (in my experience, cleansers usually take the waterproof stuff off), and baby oil had a hard time taking it off (!). Pond's "Bare & Repair" finally did. Unfortunately, both formulas clumped badly for me, and were very difficult to separate my lashes through. So, due to the smudging, the clumping and the price, I won't be buying this again.

Its not bad but ended up with racoon eyes mid day. Thank goodness I got this as a GWP. Drugstore mascaras are just as good, my MaxFactor Lift mascara did the same and did not smudge at all.

I've tried many different mascaras, and I always come back to this one. It holds a curl, lengthens my lashes, and thickens them for a more dramatic eyelash look..which I love. I did have some problems wearing this in the summertime b/c when I would sweat..it would run under my eyes, but I've had no problems with it in cooler weather.

I got this in a sample. This flakes a lot and is very crumbly. Also this product made a lot of my lashes to fall-out and irritated my eyes. I will definetly NOT repurchase a mascara that makes my lashes fall-out.

As a huge fan of Lancome mascaras, I'm disappointed to say I hate Flextencils! It's a really weak formula. Doesn't hold a curl at all and flakes really badly. Not even good for a light application - thought I could use it for more natural days since it's impossible to apply this heavily but it gave me spider lashes. Sorry!

I didn't like this one. This actually was one of the worst mascaras I've ever tried. It didn't make my lashes look long or curvy, definitely didn't notice the "glamorous look".. The stuff felt dry, even in the very beginning. Won't buy again.

I got this as a gift with purchase. Not one of my favorites. It does make my lashes look full, but not extra long or curled. It clumps straight from the brand new tube and flakes down onto my skin and irritates my eyes. The amplicils is a lot better.

yes i would buy this after i m done with the first tube but never at full retail price. 2 lippies off for the price. my god, i cant believe mascaras cost so much considering that they only last 3 months. anyways, i do the zig-zag motion with the brush and voila i get dark, slightly curled lashes. they look like them have been wet, with a few lashes clumping together. i'd say it's very natural and innocent looking but sexy. curling of lashes prior to applying this mascara is a must as it doesnt curl lashes on it's own tho it's a curling mascara.duh.

OK, Flextencils does do what it says: it curls my (fine) lashes, and adds some length. The texture is pretty good - not too wet, not too dry. However, I do find Maybelline Sky High Curves just as good (and cheaper of course). Both are perfect for my fine, straight lashes - no curlers needed even. If you have thick, strong lashes though, neither of these mascaras will work for you.

I got this as a GWP over a year ago, but I only got around to opening and using it now. Product claims: lengthening and curling. Well, it does both. Lengthening: I found Flextencils very similar to the new Lancome L'Extreme, which lays claim to extreme lengthening. I would not consider the lengthening properties of either L'Extreme or Flextencils to be extreme, but quite good in both cases. I rated L'Extreme a 4, because it made a claim it did not live up to. This mascara made no such claim, so it gets a 5. Curling: After applying to one eye, I thought I DID see a slight curl forming in the lashes on that eye, versus the eye without mascara. Because this mascara is so similar to L'Extreme, I applied L'Extreme to the other eye to see if there would be a difference. There still was a difference. The eyelashes with Flextencils definitely had a bit more curl than the L'Extreme lashes. Not a lot, but a little. Bottom line: This mascara did what it claimed to do. If it had claimed to add "extreme" length or curl, it would not have received a 5. But it just said it lengthens and curls. The curl is very slight. It is an excellent mascara, like most mascaras from Lancome. I said I would purchase it again, but the truth is, I likely would not. I really need volume, and this simply can't compare to Lancome Hypnose for volume.
