This is the best taupe nail color I've found! There really isn't much I can say about this, it's super cool and I see it all the time. Would recommend to anyone.

I was a little late to the party on this one, but glad to be here because this color is the BEST. This is stuck-on-a-desert-island polish for me. In the bottle it always struck me as a boring brown but it's not. It's the edgy neutral to rule them all. Sometimes it pulls a bit plum, sometimes more gray, sometimes brown/taupe, but always chic and modern. It goes with most outfits and when topped with Seche Vite it wears like iron, making it a great "i don't have time to change my polish on weeknights" workweek manicure.

Absolutely adore this color. I picked it up after I heard a lot of people raving about it, and thought I would try.
Extremely pretty office-safe color, creamy and thick without being goopy. This is one of my favorite shades!

Okay, I really wanted to love this one. I love taupes, and they are a large part of my nail polish arsenal, but this one wasn't working on my light, neutral skin. It looked, for lack of a better word, poo-ey. Sorry for the gross description, but that's the way it looks most of the time. However, the sun brings out a gray undertone from YDKJ which I think is really pretty. If it only it looked that way indoors, where I am most of the time..
Looks more gray on people with darker skin. Also looks more flattering on people with more yellow undertones than I have. However, on my skin indoors, it was a brown disaster, so I wouldn't repurchase. I wanted to love this one though.

I would give this color a million stars if I could, but the formula's another story. I don't know if my bottle came from a bad batch or something, but this doesn't last very long. I always get major flakes coming off my nails by the third day at the very latest. This is so far from the quality I'm used to in OPI polishes and it's disappointing. Still, the color is amazing (dark brown + warm gray = universally flattering) and I absolutely did not let the lackluster staying power keep me from wearing You Don't Know Jacques EVERYWHERE this winter/spring. Here's hoping that when I run out of product and need to buy a new bottle, that one will be from a good batch!

My default nail polish. I really like the brushes on OPI nail polishes - wide, so you can do one nail in less than 3 swipes. Quite chip-resistant too. It takes about 6 days before my nails start becoming tatty. Polish looks darker when dry than in the bottle.

I bought this color before I saw it in person. On the photos here it looks a lot lighter. I think this may be due to the flash from the camera. Anyway, I thought it was a mid-range brown/gray but it's actually a very dark gray, you can see a little of the brown in bright lighting but indoors it just looks like a really, really dark gray. I def. prefer the OPI by Sephora Metro Chic (more of a gray purple). I'm very fair and just bought this because I knew everyone was losing their mind for this shade, but alas it's not the gray/brown I was hoping.
That said, it goes on like a dream and dries very quickly. I haven't bought an OPI recently and I def. appreciated the drying time.

This is the perfect taupe griege out there. OPI totally nail it. It's a staple in my nail polish collection.

I think my skin is a little to dark to pull of this color (NC 43/C40). Its a shame because I really love this color. I think its kind of a bold and edgy take on neutral nail color. I don't know if that makes sense but its my take on the color. It applies well, but I can't comment on lasting power as I took of the nail color about two hours after putting it on.

I really like this nail colour - a brown with undertones of grey and red. It is good for winter, and although my mother told me dark colours don't look good on short nails, I quite like it on my finger tips! I did need three coats of polish to get a good colour payoff which is a bit frustrating when I'm flying out the door, but it's worth the time.

I completely was not interested in this famously loved OPI nail polish for the longest time. But I tried it on at my friend’s and can I say – I am absolutely in love.
I would describe this as a richly deep warm grey – the epitome of a true greige. It’s a true crème, without any shimmer – quite glossy might I add – but top coat is still necessary. Very chic and pervasive in modern trends and very appropriate for the fall and winter months. You Don’t Know Jacques probably isn’t the most expressively pretty color, but it’s “different” and a nice departure from the typical blackened fall hues - such as a vampy red or blackened navy.
I really quite enjoyed the wide OPI brush – I have moderately sized nail beds so I rather appreciate this brush. The formula was rather nice and workable – two coats settled evenly and opaquely
I ended up wearing this for two and a half days – which is impressive considering my recent heightened obsession with nail polish and changing it every day, hah! It did chip on one of my thumbs, but I think I hit that thumb rather harshly against a table edge . . .
I am quite enamored with this one and I may purchase or swap for a bottle of my own!

I am in love with this nail polish. I get so many compliments when Im wearing it. It takes two coats, but i always apply two coats of any nail polish so I really dont mind that. I feel like it lasts a long time on my nails (if I put a top coat on). The colour is awesome. Not a typically pretty colour but goes with everything day time, evening, its very versatile. Great with my NC15 skin. Will for sure buy again.

The color is SO chic it hurts. It even makes up for the fact that the quality of the polish is beyond terrible. It chips after like 5 seconds, is runny and thin and needs at least 3 coats. Feh. But the color! OH, THE COLOR! I'll reapply it all day long if I have to.

I was so excited to try this and it was a huge let down. Not that it's a bad product, but it was just that I had such high hopes and it turned out just average. The formula is decent (as are all OPI polishes), but I found it to kind of look like gray gel. You definatly have to put on 2 coats, and even with that, when the light hits it in certain angles, you can see little gaps where there is less pigmentation. That's not a huge issue for me since it's not at all noticable unless someone was staring at your nails.
The thing is that the color is just so blah! On my skintone (probably an NC35 on my hands since my hands are darker than my face), it just looks like a flat elephant gray. It looked so pretty in the bottle because you can see the taupe-y and almost slight purple undertones which was what I wanted, but on me it just wasn't visible! Maybe it was because I painted on three coats as I usually do with my polishes. I will update the next time I put this on and I'll only paint two coats

This gray polish seems to work for fairer skins but doesnt do a thing for my darker complexion -NC43. On me it's just blah. Essies Smokin' Hot - a gray with dk purple undertones- is a better option for me and I think it looks good on all complexions.

I love this nail polish. It is one of the only dark winter/fall colors that I can wear on my fair skin tone, without getting washed out. This product took 2 coats which is the recommened amount of coats by OPI. It is brown on the first coat but once you apply a second coat it gets more grey. I'm wearing it right now and I can't stop staring at my nails!
