This just might be one of the best moisturizers I’ve used! I purchased the Acne.org trial pack a while ago. The cleanser didn’t agree with my skin at all, and the jury’s still out on the Treatment… but the Moisturizer was a pleasant surprise. Its ingredient list is very short and simple, and it doesn’t contain ingredients that would irritate my sensitive skin. And it’s silicone- and paraben-free, which I consider a huge plus. Although some reviewers here have complained about a bad smell, I haven’t really detected any kind of weird scent… And mind you, I’m VERY sensitive to scents in cosmetics. I haven’t had any problems with my pores clogging from the jojoba oil either. However, this really is a summertime moisturizer, since it’s very light. I doubt it would provide enough moisturization for my skin during colder winter months. I’ve been experimenting with mixing different oils with it, but haven’t found my favourite yet. I’d love to buy again, but I just hate that I have to order it from so far away… :(

Hmmm I haven't had a problem with the smell....it dries really sheer and moisturizes my face really well. I wake up in the morning and my face is very soft.

This product was horrible. It makes your face red and extremely greasy. It did not moisturize enough either. I finally figured out that it was this moisturizer!! My face was so dry from the BP that I would apply this-- and it was actually a culprit to my acne. Overall, this is one of the worst products I have ever put on my face. I do not recommend to anyone with acne-prone, combination, slightly sensitive skin.

Thank god this didn't break me out. It did a nice job moisturizing and masking my flakey skin (from the BP), but man, it STINKS! It casts an oily shine onto your face, so I only applied it before bed. It smelled SO bad that I had some trouble falling asleep, as I kept focusing on the stench. It works fine, but there are many moisturizers out there that can match up or exceed the effects of this one WITHOUT smelling so bad.

I toggle back and forth about this product. In the past I remember using it and thinking that it was the only moisturizer that kept my skin from drying out from the Benzoyl Peroxide treatment. But lately whenever I put this moisturizer on over BP, it makes my skin red, irritated, and stings. I can't figure it out. I think I'm going to avoid it for a while and see if just BP works ok. Edit 8/11/2009: I also realized yesterday that this moisturizer CANNOT be used on top of an AHA product - it dissolves into a water-y fluid that does not stay on my skin and just drips off.

This product was ok- but not great. I think there are better moisturisers out there for the price. I think it may have caused a few pimples for me too- I don't find it overly moisturising either, I think I just had high expectations for the product. Will use the rest of the bottle up and look for something else- sigh!

oh, woe is me .
I was on the Regimen for about a week, and I had to stop !
The cleanser broke me out horribly, and I was so sad.
So I switched back to my Clean and Clear Daily Pore cleanser and this moisturizer and it cleared up abit, but the pimples kept on coming, and I was baffled! I even got a huge cyst by my eye !
It moisturized like no other, but with Jojoba oil, in which apparently my skin don't do too good with.
I stopped using this moisturizer just this morning, and my skin is less oily and less irritated than it was when I was on this moisturizer.
My skin don't do good with any oil, even if it mimics human sebum.
Everyone's skin is different = ( .

Not really working for me after time goes on! It worked for a while during the harsh winter...but lost the effect. I will still keep it around to see if it will help out in the wintertime in combination with bio oil.

OKAY...two weeks later and I have gorgeous skin. It glows from within. I have not one pimple, no flakes, black heads have vanished... no whiteheads to speak of. Acne below my neck has disappeared. I can't compliment this enough. I'm using the acne.org cleanser, Paula's Choice 2% BHA once a week to help deep clean, acne.org treatment but only a pinky nail amount as a spot treatment and acne.org moisturizer. My skin is balanced and I can't remember a time dating back through my life that it's looked this amazing!

WOW... Holy Grail of moisturizers for acne prone skin. Someone mentioned that it acts like natural sebum and I believe that they are spot on! It sinks in and it has made my flakes vanish (which I believe came from the treatment in this line that I will only use as a spot treatment). It is such a pain to find a moisturizer that you could use on acne prone skin, but this is it! I love it!

I bought the travel size of this lotion to see how it performs. I have to say, I like it. It has a cinnamon smell to the formulation and it is slightly runny, but it sinks in and really helps to make my skin feel smooth and soft. Once again, I'll update accordingly, but so far, so good.

I expected this product to help prevent acne, not cause it. It broke me out quickly. I did use it on my body and it was okay, but heck there are a lot of ok moisturizers. Would not purchase again.

Me: 22, combo skin - oily nose/chin, dry and sensitive elsewhere.

The product: I paid $8.50 including shipping for the 2oz travel sized bottle of this moisturizer. Since this is an internet-only company, you will always have to pay shipping costs for your items - this isn't a problem for me since I buy almost everything online, anyway. It arrives in a package marked DanielKern.com, instead of acne.org, which is nice for people who wouldn't want their acne problems exposed to their mailman/woman. The moisturizer itself has a very light lotion texture and, oddly enough, smells a little like sunscreen. There's no added fragrance, but sometimes the ingredients themselves have a smell and that can't be helped. Glycerin, jojoba and hyaluronic acid are the moisturizing ingredients, and bisabolol and squalane are meant to soothe the skin.

My experience: It was hard to gauge this product from reviews, since many people used this in conjunction with the acne.org regimen along with benzoyl peroxide and it's hard to measure whether positive or negative effects were due to the moisturizer or the rest of the regimen. I had never used jojoba oil in a moisturizer before. I had used it to cleanse with and found it too heavy, but I was hoping my skin would absorb the small amount in this lotion. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Despite how light it felt in my hand, it just would not absorb on my face. However, I really can't fault the moisturizer for this - if your skin likes jojoba, it will probably like this. The good part for those who can use this is the moisturizing level can be customized. You can always add more jojoba (or a different oil of your choice) in if you want a winter lotion, and leave it as is for summer. If you enjoy jojoba oil you really could do worse than giving this a spin.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalane, Bisabolol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Oleate, Stearic Acid, PEG-12 Glyceryl Distearate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Really disappointed that I'm not loving this, because I recently started the Acne.org regimen with all of Dan's products. I am loving his cleanser and BP but in my opinion his moisturizer is the weakest of his products. First of all, it contains jojoba oil, which can be troublesome for some acne-prones. I am always breaking out so I can't say whether this has contributed to my breakouts or not. It is a basic, no-frills lotion but what keeps me from loving it is that it is extremely watery and does not moisturize well enough. I also found it to smell a little strange even though it is supposed to be fragrance-free. If you have oily skin and need a light, bland moisturizer this is very inexpensive and may work very well for you. I love Dan's altruistic attitude and his supportive website, but unfortunately this moisturizer is not going to be an HG for me. I am going back to Cetaphil Cream which helps soothe my flaky, dry skin better.

I was very disappointed with this. Although light enough, i felt it never properly absorbed and left my skin feeling sticky and looking shiny. It also irritated slightly.

I've gone back to Clarins Sensitive, which is a bit heavy, but so much more comfortable than this. And once you factor in delivery and import duty, is actually cheaper!

While I love Acne.org, especially the bp, this moisturizer is just ok. It is a little thin in consistency, and has no SPF. I like a moisturizer to cling to my face a little better, and this feels watery.

It's a very good enough moisturiser. The jojoba oil helps to really keep quench my skin. However, I feel that it's not simple enough. There are too many ingredients that can be aggravating for very sensitive skin. Eczema sufferers may want to avoid this.

The other problem is that this makes me extremely oily. I use this moisturiser as a makeup base and within an hour or two at work, I look like a shiny frying pan. So now I use it at night and over my body instead.

This is a great moisturizer... I bought a travel sized package of the Acne.Org line... to try it out... with in the week of first trying this product, I bought the econo sized to refill my travel sized regularly. The best part of it... it drys matted... so we dont shine brighter then the sun once applying, and even better, I can use it with out wondering if with in a few hours it will cake up and ball off of my face. few things are less attractive yet more common to moisturizing lotions and creames for me. The Acne.Org line is extreemly low priced, and has done a wonderful job at clearing my hormonal acne issues that I had been at my wits end in dealing with. Great product!!!!

I love this product. Its creamy, does the job. Moisturizes well. Non-greasy also. It sinks in right away so I can start applying foundation or primer without having to wait very long, like within a minute so that is a big plus! Does not break me out. Have already repurchased. Only downside can only be bought online.

I love Acne.org! The information is wonderful and all of the products are excellent and inexpensive. I use all of their products, but each is great on its own.

This moisturizer is basic and gentle. There is no SPF or tint. It does pretty well on my sensitive skin, but sometimes isn't enough for the dry winter. When I need a stronger moisturizer, I add a drop or two of jojoba oil. (Jojoba is similar to our natural oil and I also use it as an eye makeup remover.)

I adore this moisturizer. I have the sample size version of this one. This moisturizer feels nice and light going on and never sticky as some tend to do. Also, this doesn't seem to cause more breakouts for me. My only gripe, and it's a big one for me, is that it contains no spf. Because of this I can only use it at night. There's talk of Dan coming out with an spf one soon. Hopefully he will choose to go with the spf 30. Otherwise I will continue my quest for a daytime moisturizer.

This moisturizer stung everytime I used it. However, I figured that the feeling would eventually go away. It did not. After using this product for two weeks I developed a slightly red itchy rash on my cheeks. In addition, the burning sensation seemed to get worse each night. Needless to say that it went into the trash.
