I really wanted to like this foundation and purchased it based on MUA reviews. I have combination skin with occasional dry patches around my mouth and on my chin frm Retin-A Micro use. While I liked the texture of this foundation, I was unable to use it if I had any dryness, even if I exfoliated first. I understand that this is not marketed as a matte or oil control foundation, however, within an hour of application my face was oily. Not dewey or a with a sheen/glow, it was greasy (when set with the HD powder). This foundation settled in every fine line and emphasized my pores, which is a problem I do not typically have with foudnations.
I am MAC NC-30, and I purchased shade #123, which was a good match until it oxidized. It turned at least one shade darker and orange within one hour of application.
I did like the pump dispenser, and one pump was the exact amount needed to do my full face. As far as how it photographs, I have one picture of me wearing it, and my face looks orange and greasy. I will not be re-purchasing this foundation.

This is a light to medium buildable coverage foundation. It's really light and has a watery, very runny consistency which combined with the lightness of the coverage going on makes it a little awkward to apply in my opinion. I've not yet gotten the hang of applying the right amount. It does blend in really well, but I always end up feeling like I've used too much whether I've used a foundation brush, sponge, fingers, kabuki brush, whatever... there's a fine balance with this foundation between too little and too much and it's really too much trouble to find it. Also the runny consistency makes it a little tough to deal with.

Color-wise, i got the 178 which was an okay match and faded really well into my skin initially but oxidized a little red on me (I'm about NC50 normally) after a couple of hours. I probably should have gotten the 177 instead. I didn't really like how this came out on my skin, I didn't feel like it improved the appearance at all and I felt it looked a little greasy and red within a couple of hours but then again I didn't use powder to set it so that might help it.

I'm going to finish this at some point because it doesn't break me out and it wasn't cheap. It may take a while because it's kind of a pain figuring it out right now and I have loads of other foundations I'm working through but this one's not so bad I won't eventually get through it. I probably won't buy it again though.

MUFE HD High Def Foundation is the BOMB DIGGITY. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it. It gives me a wonderful airbrushed look. And a little goes a long way so it lasts forever; a huge plus because of the price. It stays put, too - my skin looks just as great at the end of the day as when I first applied it in the morning.

The ONLY problem I have with this product is that the cap will not stay on! I keep my products in a makeup bag and every time I reach for this bottle, the friggin' cap has come off. Luckily, the pump is pretty secure so it doesn't squirt all over the place inside my bag.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation!!

Other than Colorstay, this is the only foundation that I have purchased more than once.

Currently, it's my go-to, and I pair it with HD Primer in Caramel for additional warmth and finish off with HD powder... what can I say... I'm big into continuity.

First things first... the color selection, at least for my neutral toned, Edward Cullen skin, is acceptable. 117 matches me perfectly, and during the summer time, I add a smidge more of the Caramel primer. (#4 I believe?) I never get dark enough for the 118, despite my best efforts. One of the only companies, IMO, that understands that just because I have the skin pallor of a corpse, does not mean that I have cool undertones.

Applies beautifully, covers up acne, acne scars, dark circles. Pretty much makes concealer a non-issue. Photographs beautifully as well.

Here's where lippies come off. I have.. . let's say, "combination" skin. Also, I work with dog's all day and have a propensity to sweat and be a disgusting human being. I am oily and a hot mess around 1 pm everyday. Nothing Palladio blot papers and some powder can't take care of, but if I am paying 42 dollars for foundation... b**ch better work. I feel like a goddess every day before noon... and then after that.... meeehhhh.....

So, for now, this foundation is a go-to, especially for night's out, and everyday use as it does work wonderfully for a short period of time... I shall continue to be on the hunt, however, for something that'll last throughout my endeavors in the veterinary field/ drinking binges,

When I used this product I use it with all of the MUFE HD line - from primer to finishing powder. I don't hate this at all, it does give a nice finish and does a good job covering. I do like the way my face looks when I leave in the morning. My problem with this is later on in the day my face looks very bad. I catch a look of myself in a mirror and my skin looks so dull and flat. Its not like the product completely comes off on me, it just looks like the finish has changed. I have better long term luck with a lot of other products. For that reason, I only use this for short trips out or something and refuse to wear it for a long work day.

I have used this for a few months now, and have to say it's not all that.Tried applying with my fingers, duo fiber, sigma's flat top, all the other foundation brushes I have.

Pros: The coverage is buildable
Covers my acne and redness very nicely

Cons: doesn't last all day on my oily skin (hot weather too!)
Clog my pores (I'm not sure whether or not it breaks me out, which is the main problem for me)
When I first apply it, my pores get much more noticeable
My skin doesn't absorb it very well at first, feels like it's not going to set.
Pricey.

Overall, I think it's a good foundation for those with normal/dry/combination skin, it has a good coverage and can look flawless.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Normal, Fair, Cool   Hair: Brown, Wavy, Coarse   Eyes: Green

PROS: Good Coverage without looking cakey

Photographs well

CONS: I would think that this only suits people who put themselves in the normal skin category. It's not good at controlling oil (although being fair it doesn't claim to) I can imagine it would also cling to dry patches on drier types.

IT CAUSED AN ALLERGIC REACTION ON MY SKIN

After weeks of trying to work out what was causing my cheeks and jawline to have raised red bumps I finally figured out it was this foundation which never initially crossed my mind! It contains METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE which is a newer type preservative that has replaced parabens as they have received more negative press. This particular ingredient is recommended to be used in wash off products, not ones that remain on the skin Google it to find out more. I'm just pleased I got to the bottom of what was causing my issue!

I wanted a fdtn that would look good (though I have pretty good skin) in direct sunlight as I have a bit of hyperpigmentation on my "driving" side where sunlight does get in. I usually use sheer to med fdtns but thought I better go with Med to Full. This does layer nicely and look really good, if you want full fdtn look. BUT nothing, nothing breaks me out and this did! Back to Sephora for this! Got Healthy Mix Serum by Bourjois.

I really wanted to love this foundation... but the lightest shade is a touch too dark for me (hardly noticeable so long as I buff it out correctly) and this stuff will rub or slide right off and the slightest contact with cloth or sweat. I can get maybe 6 hours out of this foundation, which I find absurb considering I have such dry skin and most things stick to it well.

I will say it's an amazing foundation to wear if you know you'll be in pictures, or under black lights (no spf) so I tend to wear it at night - unless I know I'll be sweating. No amount of primer, setting spray, or powder keeps this stuff in place. I love the way it looks, applies, blends, but for it's staying power I find it over priced.

Eh. The color match was pretty good but honestly this did not look any better on me than Maybelline fit me liquid or Neutrogena healthy skin liquid foundation. If I am going to spend $40 on a foundation I expect to be wowed not left thinking "really....?" I much prefer MUFE F&B foundation---if only sephora would get the lighter shades in stock again so I could mix them with the 20 I am currently using!

I have a serious love-hate relationship with this product. I have oily skin, but I want a foundation with a natural, dewy-ish finish. I know, I know. I saw the rave reviews of this product on Youtube and elsewhere, and how it was TOTALLY good for oily skin. In reality, it really isn't. The only reason why I keep buying this product is because of the GORGEOUS finish it gives. Sadly, this finish doesn't last very long on me because of my oily skin. I use a Smashbox primer, a setting powder, and MAC Fix + spray. Believe me people, I go through the motions to make this work. Even with all those things, it still manages to melt off my face before the day is through. Maybe it's not meant to be. This would probably be amazing for those of you with dry or normal skin. The coverage is medium. It doesn't cover up my acne scars, but it does (sort of) manage to cover up the redness of my cheeks. It goes on nicely if you're patient. I have had occurrences when this has looked cakey, but I now use my Sigma Flat-Top Kabuki brush, stipple the product in first, and THEN buff the product into my skin. Loses the cakiness (sp?) effect.

I really like this foundation!!

It is medium coverage, and has a very light feel. It is buildable without getting cakey and you get a very nice glow.

On my oily skin it does cause grease within a few hours but I feel it can be postponed with a dap of setting powder or primer underneath. However too greasy for my taste !

I would recommend it for dry/medium skin tones but also urge oily skin types to try it out and see if they can make it work.

If you have a lot of discoloration or acne and you need to cover up I say skip this one as it doesn't cover enough for that.

4/5 stars!

UPDATE:

After wearing it for a couple of weeks I have discovered It gives me light acne if I wear it too much :( So unfortunately, 3/5 stars

It is expensive. I tend to like a variety of face techniques, and use this for special occasions or when I feel I need a fuller coverage. This makes it last longer and I don't have to drop so much money as frequently than if I were using it for every day usage.

I love this foundation! Have been using it for years! (The trick is that you have to use it with its primer AND finishing powder) I use all three: primer, foundation, powder. It has medium coverage, but looks very natural. Last all day. T-Zone area gets slightly oily middle of the day, but nothing drastic.

If you like medium coverage, I highly recommend. Just be sure to use their primer and finishing powder. It really makes a difference.

The one thing that attracted me to this particular foundation was it's SPF free formula - for both personal use and for models to build my makeup portfolio.
The ingredients in foundations containing SPF, like titanium dioxide & zinc oxide, stay on the surface of the skin and actually block UV rays from penetrating the skin which gives you the 'white mask' on flash photography. I have to say this foundation looks beautiful on camera and has a very dewy finish. I would not recommend for oily skin as you will need a lot of setting powder to keep it from sliding off your face! (Which looks terrible on flash photography by the way)
It is definitely over priced for what it is - there are other foundations around the same price range which are much better and much longer lasting - ie. armani luminous silk or mac face & body which give a similar dewy finish.

I've been using this foundation for the past four years. The coverage is definitely buildable to suit your preference. This foundation looks great in photos! There's a good colour range for people to find their shade. I apply it using a sponge (for a natural look) or a stippling brush for more coverage. I have acne scarring/pigmentation and this foundation covers everything up nicely. I don't use concealer, just this foundation and the coverage is good. This foundation is $46.00 Canadian but it's worth it.
My onlyy complaint is regarding the packaging- the lid never stays on unless it's standing up and my lid has recently cracked. I purchased the Nars Sheer Glow foundation so I'll be trying that out to switch things up.

Fairly good foundation. Doesn't feel light nor heavy. Sort of medium, with medium but buildable coverage. It doesn't slide or rub off easily, especially if you set it with powder. The only thing I didn't like about this product is it's packaging. The cap is really loose and always comes off in my makeup pouch. Thank goodness it always doesn't leak. So in a way that's good as well. :D The shade I bought it in was a tad too orange for me so I'll probably repurchase in the right shade the next time or try Revlon's Colorstay (:

Good fdt, not great for me.
If you have severe acne scarring and uneven texture, this will cover the scars partially. I applied it with a stippling brush, fingers and wet sponge, but my scars were still very noticeable, plus my face was cakey. Mixed with primer and moisturizer for a more natural and sheer look, but the coverage was gone. If you jut have hyper pigmentation or minor skin issues, this will work. On areas where I don't have scars, this looks flawless. But if you have craters or rolling scars, I'm not sure this will help.
I guess the coverage depends on what you have to cover:)

Pros:Good selection of colors
Cons:Kind of pricey

I really like this foundation.
I bought it back in November of 2012.
I got the one in the shade N140
It works very very well.
It's not as full coverage as say, the mat velvet plus, but I feel that it is better for me as it does not have to much oil control.
It is quite sheer but also quite buildable.
I would say that it's light to medium coverage, mostly light but buildable to a medium coverage.
It doesnt last the longest but it look super beutiful on the skin and it looks very natural.
It does look HD on HD cameras.
I will warn you not to put this under your eyes or in areas with any wrinkles, as it does crease under there. Also keep in mind that I have dry skin, and it is prone to creasing there.
Overall I think that this is an awesome foundation when you just applied it :)
