this cream smells wonderful and feels great. It seems greasy but over the winter it really felt okay on my normal/combo skin. I dont think i would use it in the summer. Given that it's quite heavy, I use only very little each day (about half a finger tip) and it's sufficient. It's heavy but doesnt break me out.
I also used this in conjunction with the toner and cleanser and they work really well together.
The only thing about it is that it's expensive. I would repurchase next fall probably, when it starts to get dry again...

This product COULD be considered greasy. If you have oily skin I do not advise use. HOWEVER if you have dry, red, sensitive skin this stuff is AWESOME! I live in an extremely dry climate. This is fantastic for real moisture! It calms my often rosy complexion and makes my skin extremely soft and glowy. I usually get botox twice a year. I was going to get another treatment in January. I've been using this since December, my forehead lines are now smooth!!!! Botox once a year! I probably can use this 6 months a year. In the summer it will probably be too hot and this too heavy. If you live in a cold windy snowy climate in the winter I HIGHLY advise you get this stuff. I have used this on my ski trips and it is the only thing that works! I put it on at least twice a day two layers at a time and I have gorgeous soft even skin that never gets wind burned, chapped or red. Yes I have very dry skin! Also when I was gooping this stuff on I never broke out once. I usually break out hormonally monthly and/or if a product is too active, not on rose day cream, in fact acne improved! FIVE STARS!

Great moisturizer for dry sensitive skin. Very soothing. You only need the smallest amount as its very concentrated but not heavy or anything like that. Since I started using, my skin has more of a glow about it. Seems softer, more delicate, glowy, soothed.
I like the fact its natural too.

This moisturizer has saved my skin this winter! I have very dry skin that gets even worse in the winter. I use a pea size amount on my face in the morning on freshly exfoliated skin and it absorbs nicely. With other creams, I have noticed that small patches of dry skin surface as the day progresses, but the Rose Cream keeps my skin evenly moisturized all day. I probably won't be using this in the summer due to the humidity, but will definitely buy again next winter. I took one lippie off for price.

I love this cream, have been using it for years but am actually only on my third tube, which shows how long it lasts for. I just apply a pea sized amount onto damp skin, I use it twice a day especially in winter. (I know Dr. Hauschka says that you shouldn't moisturize at night, but my face gets really dry otherwise)
I love the scent and the fact that it hydrates without being greasy. Great natural product!
UPDATE: The ingredient have been changed and the product now contains olive oil, which unfortunately breaks me out within hours- such a shame, as this used to work so well for me.

I bought several of the trial sizes of the Dr. Hauschka line because I wanted to switch to natural skin care, and because my skin has become very dry, sensitive and delicate and I wanted to use something that I thought might help improve its condition. I really liked the Dr. H philosophy regarding no moisturizer at night, so I thought this could be a good line for me. This cream was a bit heavy, which is good for my parched skin, but instead of moisturizing it just sat on top of my face. After a week of using this I didn't notice any change in my skin's condition. Not a BAD product (ie: didn't cause breakouts, didn't have an allergic reaction), but it definitely did not deliver results, especially for the price.

I was very excited to try this product and the price ($32 CAN) seemed reasonable for a moisturiser which is natural. I really like the rose smell and find it pleasant. Also, people who don't have dry skin should not buy this!! I don't understand why anyone with oily skin would put this on their face!!! I started using this in the summer so it was a tad greasy but now that the weather is cooler it works just fine. I have extremely dry skin and this soothes it very well, so well that I have forgotten what its like to have dry, flaky skin. The tube is about half done now and I've had it for about 2 and a half months but I think it's almost gone because I have been applying this in larger amounts than suggested and using it day and night which i don't do anymore. At first this broke me out a bit but now my skin is used to it and it feels very comfortable. If you plan to use this, make sure you follow the instructions on how to apply it since this is key. Overall, I am happy with this product and will repurchase.

I use this on my sensitive combo skin. It if put too much on it does leave my skin feeling a bit greasy- so I've had to adjust to using this type of cream and learned to not slather it all over. I love the smell and my skin feels super soft after use. I don't use it daily, but it is in my skin care rotation - I'm on my second tube of it. I also use a little bit on my hands sometimes. It is somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Although I didn't like the fact that a product with "natural" ingredients is artificially fragranced I bought this going with the hype. Not happy. Feels like a drugstore handcream on my skin. Sits on top of my skin. No improvement in skin condition. OK product not worth the hype or the price. And why use artificial fragrance in a natural product??

Even though I have combination skin - very oily tzone and normal to sensitive cheeks, this cream totally works for me. I did purchase the trial kits for normal and oily skin specifically so I could try all the moisturizers. Moisturizing Day Cream was too light and something in Quince Day Cream irritated my cheeks. I was reluctant to try Rose Day Cream because I thought it would be too rich but it completely soothes my sensitive areas. I use Normalizing Day Oil first on damp skin after toning. Then I take the tiniest amount (half a pea) and pat it between my finger tips (like the LaMer application method) and then gently press into my cheeks. My skin looks so luscious! I love the smell of roses so this cream smells divine to me. With the Dr. Hauschka line I have only been moisturizing in the am. Took me awhile to get used to that! But what a difference! In the morning my skin looks great - soft and not in the least bit dry or oily.

This review is for the non-light version of the Rose Day Cream. I must admit that I use this not as a day cream but as a night cream. I bought it when the Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle night cream was making my skin flake off and get all nasty! It looked dull and dry. I'd been noticing fine lines, which was why I bought the Neutrogena stuff to begin with. After two or three nights of using this, my fine lines are much less noticeable. I know it's not an antiager, but it's got great natural ingredients in it that must be awesome for one's skin. Anyway, my fine lines are plumper. I don't know why people would use this if their skin weren't dry, so all the haters saying it's too greasy when their status says they have combo/acne prone skin need to shut up and get something that WORKS for their skin type, not a face cream whose top ingredients include PEANUT OIL. Oy vey. Anyways, the smell is so nice. I use a microderm kit at home once or twice a week. This keeps my skin smoother, longer. And when I wake up, wash my face, and use my Olay Complete lotion, my skin retains this dewy, fresh look all day because it's so moisturized, and I know it isn't Olay Complete doing that, because sometimes for moisturizer, it just doesn't cut it. This is an awesome night cream, ladies! It's a tad heavy so I wouldn't use it during the day, but it seems that for Very Dry skinned people, that works out just fine.
EDIT!! I don't know if it was my period or this stuff, but I actually started BREAKING OUT. And sometimes I get a little zit here or there, but I'm not a breaking-out kind of gal. It's been a few weeks and I've got one cystic one left and I've been trying to get my skin back to normal. I switched to Cetaphil cream and it does just as good of a job for way cheaper and less clogged pores. Unless you've got legit DRY skin, watch out!!!

This is a rich day cream, too rich for my skin for daily use, so I only use it when my skin needs it ( which is not much)
For dry skins it must be perfect!
For this reason I wouldn't buy it again. I have it, so I use it in times of need, but it is no need for my face to nourish my skin with this specific cream.

After happening upon reviews here on MUA, I bought a tube of Rose day Cream before I began Retin-A treatment, hoping that it would alleviate the redness new users were said to suffer for the first few months. And, because I started this concurrently with Retin-a, I really have no idea if it helped at all. That is to say, I had no control group or anything, so I don't know if my skin would have been more, less, or the same degree of red without the rose cream (as it was, I did experience a good deal of redness, but I'm pretty sure that there's no way to avoid that completely). However, that notwithstanding, now that I'm out of that stage (my skin has adapted to the Retin-A, and the only side-effect that I still experience is minimal, easily-removed flaking), I do feel that this product helps even out my skin tone, and helps counteract pinkness when I my face flushes due to heat, cold, or embarrassment (oh, that expressive irish skin!)
You really don't need very much of this creamy white moisturizer at all; I've found that a small-pea-sized dab (or even less, depending on the humidity) does just fine for my face and neck, especially after a moisturizing toner (I use either DHC's Mild Lotion or Acerola Gel) in a sort-of steamy bathroom. I just have to rub that small bit of product between my fingertips, dab it all over my damp face, smooth it all around my face and neck, and then leave the damp bathroom for drier air - at which point I rub it in. I mean, like really, deep-tissue sort of rubbing in. I find it works better that way, and I'm a big fan of facial massage at every opportunity.
I have a few observations, as opposed to complaints: For one, I feel that on some days, it isn't moisturizing enough. I live in such a dry place, though, that this might be the case only for those who live at altitude, and not for the vast majority of those who use it. I also read another reviewer who said something about this not being the only moisturizer you should use; you should layer Dr. Hauschka's quince cream, or something like that, over it. I don't feel that this is necessary all the time; on those drier days, I just use a little eye cream or jojoba oil under my eyes to supplement the moisture.
Also, upon purchasing my second tube and seeing the creamy, uniform product, I was reminded of something: The first tube I had seemed to have clotted overnight, about 1/3 into it. This didn't affect the quality of the moisturizer at all; it just made the application a little trickier: I had to really emulsify it between my fingertips in order for it to spread well. I'll chalk this up to the lack of preservatives, though, which is great.
Overall, this is a beautiful product makes me feel really beautiful, and as if I am doing something very healthy for my skin. Considering how little one has to use per application (and I only use it once a day, in the morning), the price is justifiable - my first tube lasted nearly 6 months, and I'm sure I can squeeze at least 7 out of my second tube, knowing just how little I can use per application while still getting great results. Also, I was able to squeeze every last bit out of the metal tube. Nothing went to waste.

After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. It's a thick white cream and smells of tea roses. At first the greasy thick texture made me hesitant about trying this on my combination skin so I first got myself a small sample tube to give it a try. A pea sized dab does a face and another will do your neck. It needs to be 'melted' between your fingertips and then patted onto the face. It does start out a bit greasy but settles down and is a great base for make up the greasy feeling goes away after a minute or two. What I really do like about this product is that it really does make my skin soft and smooth. It is extremely pricey and the packageing is very old fashioned but it needs be I'll cut it open to get the last bit out.

I found this product to be too rich for my skin. My skin is oily in some places and very dry in others as well as being sensitive. This moisturizer absorbed into my skin really quickly and took care of my dry spots instantly, but left my skin feeling a bit greasy. I think it's very good but just a bit too rich for my skin and would suit people with just very dry skin quite well. I use the Rose Day Cream Light now, which suits me much better.

I first purchased this when my skin started drying out and getting irritated during the winter season not too long ago. I was on an "all natural" kick and found this product after hours of research. I'm always a little skeptical about new products, but the Rose Day Cream was great! Started to see results not that long after I first started using it. Also, I have oily, acne-prone skin, but this cream did not aggravate any of that at all. Even though it goes on a little thick, it absorbs fairly quickly and doesn't leave an oil slick like some cream moisturizers. Unfortunately, it is a little on the pricey side.

Since I'm known around the office for having a red face (rosacea), I'm always on the lookout for a good skin product. I'd been dancing around Dr. Hauschka's products for awhile now (mostly because they're somewhat costly). But after having a bad experience with Juice Beauty (an organic skincare line) I was desperate to find something else.
First, I admit that I have only been using the Rose Cream for a few days, but so far, I have had great results. After the first use, any redness was visibly reduced. I was also having a problem with dryness (my skin was flaking persistently on my cheeks). The cream helped that as well. So far, so good.
PROs:
Natural, holistic product
Smells wonderful
Lessened redness almost instantly
Reduces tiny pimples caused by rosacea
Effectively moisturized dry patches
Calming and gentle
Tones skin so it "glows"
CONs:
Somewhat greasy, so I recommend letting it absorb before applying make-up (or buy the "Light" version for less of a greasy feel)
Slightly expensive (but small price to pay to control rosacea)
Update: A few days after I wrote this, my skin started to get REALLY red. However, I think I had a bad reaction to the cleanser (not the milk one). So I'm not sure. In either case, it scared me off enough to quit using the entire line.

I have heard so many pretty things about this cream. Friends who had tried it warned me that is was very greasy, and I thought, "Great!", because I have the driest skin ever.
I tried it for the first time this morning. When I opened the tube, I was just in awe because of the scent. It's like having someone deliver a bunch of roses to your doorstep every morning, just in a tube! Very romantic and old-fashioned in that cute way.
The sad thing was that it wasn't moisturizing enough for my very dry skin. The consistency was very hard to spread, and I had to use a lot of it to cover my whole face. It did not sink in very well, and I realized that it just wasn't enough, so I put another moisturizer on top. Perhaps it will be better for summer.

Terrible terrible, do not buy if you have sensitivity to nuts of any kind! All these products are terrible and aggrevated my eczema so badly. The Naturopath lady was shocked at what happened to my skin using this range. I had the whole skincare line plus the makeups. cost hundreds what a waste. they say chemicals are the enemy but they have nothing on these so called natural ingredients.
