I have straight, dry hair that is prone to some frizzineess. I got this about two months ago and have been using it 2-3 times a week while blowdrying my hair. Usually when I apply it, it does manage to kind of weigh down any frizz that I may have and make my hair smoother. However, if I apply more than a dime's worth of this stuff, my hair starts looking greasy. Also, if I apply it when my hair is dry, it starts looking greasy even faster. It also didn't make my hair any shinier as it claimed to do. So, even though the smoothing milk does get its job done, I'm probably not going to be buying this again.

I don't know why this product got a lot of bad reviews. I'm not a product junky (yet), so maybe I just don't have a lot to compare to. This stuff is great when you have stubborn fly-away hair, and no time to style it. You just apply a little on dry hair and it gets rid of the frizz and fly-aways without weighing it down, which is ideal for my fine, wavy hair and low-maintenance life-style. Plus it's cheap! What more can you ask for? I was curious if I should try TiGi Bed Head-after party (it has good reviews on MUA). But it's a lot more expensive, and I was wondering if the results were any better or even necessary. Maybe I'll come back to edit and compare it once I get the guts to splurge on some.

Meh, i have mixed feelings about this product. I like how my hair is less "poofy" ish kinda. I have long hair and I'm asian, but my hair is kinda really dry. It feels smoother, but not necessarily more moisturized. It doesn't really control frizz, but then again, i dont even have that much. >.>
This is definately better for super curly/wavy hair. It smell nice!
Oh, and I don't really see a shine. =.=
I would buy it again only if it were on sale (ex. i bought it at Stop nd Shop for 2.99 instead of 3.29. And oh, cvs sells for a dollar more, so save that dollar and go to stop and shop.)
3.5 lippies.

It smells SO good! It's not supposed to do anything to your hair except smooth it [I think, it's been a while since I've used it] so I'm not sure why people are saying it didn't do anything when they straightened it. I put it on after I straightened my hair to tame flyaways and it worked perfectly. I didn't put it on while my hair was still wet as I don't think that ever does anything. When using it on dry hair, which works AMAZINGLY make sure you don't use too much, a tiny bit too much will make your hair look oily and greasy. Start with a tiny tiny bit, you can always add more.
Great price, does the job of smoothing my hair, excellent product.

I have naturally curly hair and this did absolutely nothing when I straightened it. I used a blowdryer and flat iron as usual and it made no difference in my hair at all. I tried it a few different ways, on wet hair vs. dry, or adding more or less product and it really didn't make a difference at all. I also put it on my hair when it was curly and again, no difference really.

Smells really nice, smoothed my hair but made it look oily. I think I just prefer to smooth frizzies with a light spray or shine serum.

I got this stuff on sale and was really excited to try it out because of the good smell. However, I was dissappointed to find out that it didn't really do anything to smooth my hair. In fact, when I applied it after flat ironing it made my hair poof up really bad.

I love this product! For me, it seems to work better on dry hair, I just ran it through my ends a few hours ago and they are indeed very smooth. I also love the packaging and it's lightweight.

I can't use this because my hair is too prone to silicone buildup. If you don't have a problem with that, then this product would probably work great. I have a friend that uses it and she loves it!

I just got this days ago.I have used Loreal's Hot Straight in the past which is ok but then i found this and i as really keen to try it out.
It smells really good just like the hairspray and makes my hair softer and sweet smelling.I m a sucker for great smelling products as long as it doesn't smell too floral which is not for me.I have short curly hair so i need something to manage my otherwise out of control curls.Pretty good.

I don't LOVE this stuff, but it does pretty good overall. My hair is very thin, and wavy/curly (depending on it's mood) and this stuff just tames it. I usually just put it in when my hair is damp, and let it air dry, and my waves are frizz free. If I want a more straighter look, then I don't use this, because it never keeps it straight. I can't use alot or my hair will look greasy.

I really like this product. I don't style my hair super-straight, but this product makes it much smoother not matter how I style it. It's pleasant to use, easy to get and a bargain.

I have fine, wavy, unprocessed hair. I was hoping this would tame flyways and provide some body to my hair. It did nothing. My hair looked better without this. I returned it.

I really like this product. I've been using it for a couple years now. I bought it after my friend raved about it. While it's not an absolute miracle worker (and nothing is), this is just about as close as it gets. It definitely helps with the frizz. For reference, my hair is about two inches past my shoulders and fine, but there is a lot of it. Just this morning, after taking a flat iron to my hair, I realized it wasn't looking quite right. My hair wasn't getting completely straight, frizzy on top, just overall didn't look good. This product really does the trick- brings me from bad hair day to good hair day. And it's ridiculously cheap.

When I first bought this product, I liked it. I applied it to damp hair before blow drying. I tried applying it after blow drying, but I found it looked greasy in my hair. It can be hard to work the product through without getting a greasy look. And I had some trouble with the tip getting clogged. But I was fine with it overall.
And then one day, the smell changed from a nice fruity smell to something awful. It really made me nauseaous. I don't know if I had it for too long and it went rancid but I had to get rid of it. I switched to Pantene Always Smooth Anti-Frizz Serum and will never go back.

I got this dirt cheap (69 cents after a coupon) so I don't feel so bad, but this did not work for me. I have waist-length thick hair and I'm always looking for a good smoother. This smelled okay and wasn't very sticky, but it was as if I put nothing in my hair at all. Maybe it's for people with fine shorter hair?

I am on my second and third bottle of this – I keep one at work to use on dry hair on the days when I frizz out during my commute. This is no substitute for careful styling, but it makes my hair a darn sight better than it would be if I just air dried it, and some days I am so tight on time that it comes down to that choice. And I am not a styling expert, so I like this for the fact that it is easy (I put it in damp hair, comb my hair into place and let it air dry) and that it works pretty well most of the time. On the best days, it gives my hair some texture and slight hold, while smoothing out the top part, where I tend to frizz.
The first bottle I bought was a pump, and I didn’t like that too much because it made things messy for travel; but now that they’ve switched to a click-top I see that it can be tempting to use too much. So there are good points to both types of bottles.
EDITED TO ADD: I bought a new bottle last week and it's either a slightly new formula or a different name - the old one was just plain “smoothing milk” but the new one says something about “humidity control.” Don’t know if it’s a new formula or I’m using it differently, but I like this more than I ever did. I’m blowdrying a lot more these days (though not using the flatiron much), and my hair is smooth without as many frizzies on top. Still loving this – even more than I did!

Love this! I have very long, fine, straight hair, and lots of it. This stuff really does make my hair silky and frizz free. I did have trouble getting it through my hair evenly though, at first. It would end up too concentrated in some places, not enough in others. What I ended up trying was adding some to a little spray bottle I had, then topping up the rest with just water or decanting some heat protection spray. It works much better for me this way, I can spray it evenly over my towel dried hair, concentrating more where I need to. Then I comb through and blow dry.
I've had quite a few compliments since I started doing this, It really does smooth and adds lovely shine to my hair.
Definitely try adding some to a spray bottle if you have trouble getting this stuff on evenly. Just make sure you don't have the mixture too thick, otherwise it squirts out like you're firing it from a water pistol! I use a small bottle and add about ten pumps, then top it up with water/heat protection spray (give the bottle a good shake each time you use it). This way it 'mists' out more. Using it this way also means, so far, that it's been impossible for me to put too much on. I've been quite liberal with it and not had to deal with any greasy feel.
Will definitely repurchase.

It's not great at preventing fly aways on the top of my head, where the humidity will make my hair feel greasy and make my little hairs on the top of my head stand up and kink. Even if it does work, it always leaves sections of the top of my hair stuck together a little from where the product dried.
What it's good for and what I will buy it again for it this: sometimes when I get out of the shower and dry my hair, the ends of my hair look dried out and frizzy. Just damaged looking. On the occasions my hair looks like this, I put a little smoothing milk in my hands, run it through the lower half of my hair, and brush. It always makes my hair look normal again.
Also, it smells really good.
If your hair is just frizzy, it might work for you.
