I really really wish that more shades were offered in this! The lightest shade looked 3 shades too dark on me

After reading many good reviews on this product, I finally decided to buy it. My skin is acne-prone; therefore I was looking for an affordable foundation with great coverage. This foundation definitely has great coverage and lasts longer than I had expected it to!

After hearing so many good things about this foundation, I said to myself "why not?". Definetely I good choice!...I went to my nearest CVS and it was on Sale for $1.75!! When i tried it on the next morning, and after wearing it for more than 5 hrs I have to say, I really like this foundation..it stays in place and its not heavy or cakey at all! The only thing is the color was a little dark for me (but i can deal with that, specially in the summer) and it doesnt have any SPF. Overall a good product.

Coverage is good. Color selection, not so much. It gets clumpy throughout the day, although it does "last" I guess, in terms of coverage. You have to set it with a boatload of powder in order for it to not be all clumpy and weird. It reminds me of studio fix fluid, but less matte. EDIT... try the new 25 hour version! it is loads better

I previously posted this on the other Lasting Finish review page, which did include pictures of the one I have, but I think this is really the product I'm using. It does have "mineral enriched" on the label.
I had heard good things about this foundation, so when I happened upon it on sale I had to snatch it up. Overall I think it lives up to the hype! It stays put well, lasting most of the day. The consistency and application are smooth, but best with a sponge or fingers (as opposed to a brush) in my opinion. However, the colour selection is really limited, which is upsetting. That said, the colour I got looked a little dark in the tube but blended well on my skin. When I had fully applied it, it didn't look like I had the wrong colour on (I used Ivory; I'm Mac NW15) I think I'll buy it again if it goes on sale again - its nice to have kicking around my makeup collection.

I`m very tan Asian, almost like Italian tan and I have acne prone skin, and somewhat oily face (usually in the t-zone area and my forehead). I have couple pimple here and there but nothing big enough that makeup cant help. I`ve been looking for foundation that stayed on hours (more than 8 hours) even after workout since I love to run, swim, etc... and most importantly, that didn`t make me look cakey(like those fake blondes with orange face if you know what I mean lol) and inexpensive since I am a student so I dont have the money to sppend $$$ on makeups. Anyways this rimmel is GREAT for all that! I first wash my face then moisturize wth the clean and clear (oil free), then Hard candy face primer(which is also AMAZING!) and then i use foundation brush so i can save the makeup and have an even coverage all over my face. It seems like a lot but its really not and it all takes only 5 minute (you get used to it lol). Then I sometime set with physician formula pressed powder with kabuki brush at the end if I feel like it. It doesn`t smear, or blotches! Yesterday I went out to play football and frisbee with couple of my guy friends and it stayed on after I sweated like a pig (and I know ladies we have to look good even after sweating and this is the one!) It is very blendable if you use a brush, i tried fingers and it didnt work well for me. I use about dime size for each cheek and then left over for overall so you dont waste a lot of makeup either. Everybody have different skin type so you just have to try it out. Thanks to amazing reviews here I purchased this and am NOT regretting it so TRY IT LADIES!!! =)
(By the way I took off one lipies because I only used it for 2 weeks so things can change like breakout which i doubt.I plan to update 2 weeks later)

Well, I picked this up for CAD$2.50 on a whim. Unfortunately, the colour is way off. Even the lightest shade (100) is too dark for my naturally pasty skin. :) It might work towards the end of the summer, so I'll be trying it again then.
I do find the product itself works well on me. I've worn it a few times (on my neck as well...), and it doesn't get gross, and it lasts decently. It evens out my red blotchy cheeks, and covers my under-eye circles well. I usually apply it with a flat top brush, and use a loose translucent powder over top.

I bought this product at CVS after hearing good reviews on Youtube. I was looking for something with good coverage, even though I don't exactly need it. Personally, I did not enjoy the quality of this product. The packaging was fine, but when I opened it, the product was already leaking out. Also, even though it appears darker in the container, it makes you lighter when you put it on. Even for me, someone with fair skin, it made me even paler when I put it on my face. And I just didn't like the product enough to go out and buy a different shade. There was not a wide color selection, and this product feels heavy on my skin. I will say though, the coverage was very good. So personally, I might recommend it to people, but they might need to buy it in a shade that looks about two shades darker than their actual skin color. Other people might like it if they just don't mind the packaging.

Yay! I have used Rimmel Recover Foundation since it came out and have been reluctant to try any others as its light, shimmery and affordable, but i bought this on a whim and i'm pleased! Not as good but its creamy, even and first day i wore it, best mate complimented my skin looking really good!

Wow this foundation really stays on! I put this on and let it dry for 10 minutes and I tried dabbing my face with water to see how much it would stay on. I patted my face with a paper towel and there was virtually no transfer on the paper! This will obviously come off if you rub your face though, so be careful. This has great coverage for even my dark circles and blends so well. I skip my concealer because of the great pigmentation. I bought this in #200 Soft Beige. I took off 1 llippie because it's not the most hypoallergenic foundation out there. It contains fragrance and propylene glycol. It sort of smells like baby powder. I bought it at CVS for $2. Sweet deal :-D
Edit: Don't get this if you have eczema, gals. This stuff is giving me some weird allergic reaction :-/

Considering I am a bit of a brand snob when it comes to my make-up, I was actually really suprised by how much I like this product. The coverage is light to medium (I need to conceal areas of redness and spots) but the finish is not quite matte, but slightly satin. On my oily/combination skin it holds up ok, but doesnt have the best staying power in the summer. The colour blends in perfectly to my skin colour (I am MAC NW20-25) and I am 200 Soft Beige in this. I think the only reason I havent given it a 4 is that I am still looking for the perfect foundation that makes my skin look perfect (i.e. hides the acne scarring and the redness in my cheeks).

I was so surprised to discover that I actually love this foundation! I always have a hard time finding foundations that work for me and *match* my skin, especially in a line that contains so few shades. I had tried a Rimmel foundation a few years ago when I was in the process of moving and realized that my makeup bag was left with my finace, and it would be a couple days before I had it back. Long story short, even the lightest shade was way too dark for me so I was unable to even use it. I was so shocked to find that the lightest shade in Lasting Finish (100 Ivory) matches me perfectly; even in tones, not just depth. 97% of foundations in general are either too yellow, too pink, or too peachy/orange, too light or too dark for me, but this one was matches my fair/light neutral/warm skin perfectly. It's a nice neutral brown/goldenish shade. The downside is that even though this matches me perfectly right now, I have (what is for me) a light tan at the moment. (I'm "naturally" between NC10 and NC15, and right now I'm between NC15 and NC20.) There's no way this will match once my tan fades in winter; it will be way too dark. So it's a little bit of a bummer that I know I won't be able to use it at that time. Then again, I usually tend to stick to more "glowly" and "dewy" foundations in the winter to give my pale skin some oomph, so I may not have used this at that time anyway. However, I still feel that the shades they have available really limit who can use it and that's just not good.
On me this give a natural matte finish, but it's not chalky or mask-like. I can layer it without it looking any less natural. I would say it gives light/medium coverage that is buildable. This definitely lasts all day for me, and my normal/combination skin never looks oily throughout the day so I love that! There is a slight fragrance but it doesn't bother me, and I'm fairly sensitive to fragrance in face products. It really smooths and evens out my complexion, and covers my pores amazingly well. Consistency is nice - not too thin or runny and it's definitely not too thick like, say, Revlon CS is. Packaging is pretty decent. I do like squeeze tubes like this as you can get the last bits of product out really easily, and they're not messy like jars without pumps. Also very convenient to throw in your purse or travel bag when needed, unlike a jar. One kind of negative thing I've noticed about it is that it can sometimes emphasize dry areas on my face. It's not that it clings to dry patches and makes flakes more noticeable, but it just makes drier areas look even more dry, if that makes sense. I wouldn't really recommend this to people with very dry skin. But I just make sure I use a good moisturizer underneath and I'm pretty much fine. :) Considering the price and the performance of this product, I would highly recommend it for those who are looking for a long lasting foundation! But beware if you're extremely pale or very very dark! This probably won't work for you. The lightest shade, in my experience, suits those who are darker NC15s or between NC15 and NC20.

This is actually not a bad foundation at all for its price. Except I find it to go so so shiny really quickly! I mean it doesnt come off but it just gets so greasy looking, I hate it. I use MAC Blot powder to set my foundations, but it just does not work with this product! Apart from this problem, I guess it is a good foundation. It's a bit similar to Revlon ColorStay, but much easier to apply and greasier looking. I found coverage to be too heavy when I applied with my fingers, and was better using a wet sponge. I have also tried applying it with a foundation brush..not a fan of foundation brushes really. I think the texture of this product is too sticky to use with a foundation brush. The colour I got was Soft Beige, the same shade I got for the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation. I found the Lasting Finish shade to be slightly darker (and pinkier) though which is not good. I was quite dissapointed as I really wanted to like this foundation after reading good reviews. This Rimmel Lasting Finish foundaiton may be good for other skin types though.. I still do recommend it..maybe it is just not for me.
12/11 UPDATE
Can't believe I mentioned positive things about this product. From what I remember this sh*t was so hard to blend, sticky, shiny and had such a strong fragrance that I don't like to put up with.
Has now been discontinued and replaced with a new 'Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation', which I have also bought and tried, and never touched again.
Rimmel Stay Matte foundation is the one to use!

If you're asian or have yellow undertones, this isn't for you (and me). I LOVED the coverage (medium-full). I loved that it had a matte finish, since I have oily skin. But the color selection is really limited. White people/pink skinned people will love this. Lucky you!

In the past I had pretty decent skin, but as I hit my late 20’s my skin has gotten nasty on me and I started breaking out more than usual. So I’ve been on a look out for affordable liquid foundations that can cover up acne, scars and discolorations... I picked this up at Target for about $4. I’m horrible at matching my shade and I’ve never gotten color matched professionally – just kinda pick and choose. The first one I got was Nude (202). I liked the consistency of this product. It was creamy, easy to blend and pretty good coverage wise. It had a yellowy undertone that I thought would match my skin. The only thing was it was a little too light on me. I then purchased the shade sand (300). Indoors it seemed to match, but when I went out and checked in my car mirror, I saw that it was a smidge too dark compared to my neck with more pinkish undertones… overall I still like this foundation. It definitely evens out my skin, masks a lot of my acne and hyper pigmentations. I found that it isn’t too drying nor does it exacerbate my oiliness factor – I have combo skin. It has lasted me through a 10hr work day with lots of walking around and sweating. It also lasted me on a long night out at a casino resort. After coming in from a few hours in the hot tub I saw that it hadn’t melted off or looked streaky. In fact it stayed on and looked very natural. The other night I asked my DH if my foundation looked off and he even said that he didn’t even think I was wearing any foundation! It hasn’t broken me out, unlike the Revlon Colorstay in Natural Tan which gave me a lot of little bumps that eventually became pimples (8 to be exact), although not the cystic ones I usually get. I’d also like to add that I use a light dusting of the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige (005) to set it. Will continue to purchase this foundation due to affordability, coverage and the fact it doesn’t break me out.

Impressed with this foundation considering it's cheap and a little goes a long way (lasts a long time). I used over my Sephora face primer and set with my Mac Mineralize pressed-powder. I have fairly oil skin and this foundation seems to hold up through most of the day with some touch-ups with my powder. It goes on nicely, covers moderate and feels clean. Well definitely purchase again.

Recently I have been trying a lot of different foundations (Revlon Colorstay, Bourjois Healthy Mix, Rimmel Lasting Finish, L'oreal Infallible) and in my opinion the Rimmel Lasting Finish is the best out of the lot. Most of the foundations I have listed above go on well and look good initially but everytime I look in the mirror during the day I am disappointed in how my skin looks. Whenever I wear the Rimmel and look in the mirror I always feel suprised at how flawless my skin looks. I will repurchase. It's cheap too I got mine off ebay for approx £3.00.

This product is not bad. It does last for hours but I'm not sure about lasting for 16 hours because I haven't wore it for that long yet. I used it with Rimmel Mineral Powder Foundation and it turns out great!! It works fine for the few times I have wore this foundation. Overall I like this product and would buy again if I need to. :)

I love this! I saw the drug store foundation review by Michelle Phan and she had recommended this as a good foundation, but that the Stay Matte version is better for dry skin types (which I have). I bought this as a BOGO at CVS a couple weeks go so I got Stay Matte and Lasting Finish. Lasting Finish is so natural looking, it blends it perfectly! I have never found a foundation that matched my skin so well and didn't make me look deathly pale! I don't know what is with the orange colored reviews, probably for people with darker skin? I purchased it in True Ivory. This blends amazingly, a bit on the watery side, but that is what makes it blendable I suppose... so I do end up using quite a bit of product. Who cares though, it's only 7 dollars! Stay Matte was HORRIBLE! It looked patchy, like a crackhead. So I don't know what Michelle Phan was talking about with the Stay Matte, I'm Lasting Finish alllll the way and have recommended it to my girl friends.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention that it lasts really well and that is without primer, just powder! Probably not 16 hours like the packaging says... but good enough for a full day. Plus it smells amazing, kind of like a "clean" smell. I'm using it now for everyday rather then Revlon Colorstay since it's so cheap and natural looking. So for now, this is my favorite casual makeup (drugstore or department) until I find something even greater!
