I got black. It is a lot wetter than other MAC mascara. This stuff makes my lashes long and thick. Lasts all day long and it works great for me.

I had such high hope for this!!! It does nothing but clump my lashes together in several thick, wet, nasty looking clumps. I guess I'll try using a different mascara brush with it...otherwise it's goin in the trash!

As a self-professed mascara addict, I have to say that this stuff is pretty darn good! I got it in Zoomblack, which is a shiny, intense black. The MA warned me that the gel formula would be kind of wet, so I was prepared. For the first couple of days, I noticed it was a bit too wet and made my lashes stick together, but after about a week, it got better.
Used alone, this mascara gives very long, dark lashes and doesn't thicken too much. I like to use it in conjunction with the Fibre Lash for more ooomph. I use one coat of the Fibre Lash first, and then add one coat of the Zoomlash, and I'm good to go.
The formula doesn't flake or irritate my eyes, and it can give a natural look, or something more intense. Not sure if I would give it HG status yet, but for the price and performance, I would definitely repurchase!!

This mascara is great! After reading the reviews, i had a mix feeling about it at first..
Tried the mascara at the counters and i just fall in love with it.. it lengthens my lashes like no tomorrow and lasted me the whole day without smurging! Until i wash it off.. it comes off easily! Definately getting more of it!

This one sucks. Bought this with high expectations. But it doesn't volumises, is not waterproof, does not lengthen, hard to curl.
In short, JUST A WASTE OF MONEY!

I bought this with high hopes but ended up returning it. The formulation is too wet and it smeared everywhere before it dried. It clumps up on the wand, it stuck all my lashes together, and when I combed them with my metal lash comb it flaked all over. It did lengthen somewhat but did not really thicken my lashes. I'm switching back to Fibre Rich. (I did think the matte finish tube was neat though.)

Love, Love, LOVE this mascara!! It lengthens and doesn't smear. Don't wiggle it around, just sweep it through and let the product work for itself or else you will get clumps.

I was skeptical about this mascara at first, because I've never had luck with any other MAC mascara, but I'm so glad I tried it. Lengthens and thickens my lashes a bit (adding a coat of Great Lash on top takes care of the rest of the thickening I want). I like the brush too, it's actually pretty thin so it can get to every lash. One of my favorite mascaras! :)

I had high hopes for this mascara but it fell short on so many levels. It goes on clumpy because the mascara wand pulls out so much of the product. Even after wiping down the wand, I was left with stiff and spikey lashes. The formula was a little to wet for my taste and it's a mascara you have to work at..You will definitely need a metal lash comb to work through this but still; the result is spidery lashes. Will not repurchase.

Horrible. I lokved this the first time I used it, but no more. It applies too wett. Makes my lashes stick together. Not the look I'm going for lol!
I've tried many drugstore brands that are better. L'Oreal Lash Out has this beat.
I'm returing this

Zoomlash is MAC's new lengthening mascara. It is a wetter formula than most other mascaras I've used before. That said, it really does add lots of length - DH even asked if I was wearing falsies! It does not add any thickness, but then again, it's not supposed to. Zoomlash is very, very smudge resistant and doesn't flake unless I really pull on my lashes. I have not had any problems with clumping either. Overall, this is my new daily staple - lasts all day without raccoon eyes and gives me very long, flirty lashes.

Novel texture, new idea. I really wanted to like this, but just couldn't.
Packaging was fine--I didn't have the clumping/application problems others had. The problem was that it just didn't do much. There was nothing activly bad, I guess. It didn't smear or flake weirdly or anything; it was just no better than my Voluminous.
This is worth a try if you have a counter nearby, but don't go out of your way--and certainly don't buy before you try! I'll stick to Bourjous Coup de Theatre for my thickening/lengthing and my Voluminous.

I have to say that I used to hate MAC mascaras. I thought that I would never be able to find anything I liked as much as LANCOME DEFINICILS or FLEXTENCILS.
When I tried MAC FIBRERICH mascara, I was truly shocked and it moved into my "searched for my whole life" category. I did not expect anything to match up to it.
MAC ZOOM LASH, however is another contender for my top three favorites, and I must say that it passed DEFINICILS, which I did not think would happen.
FIBRERICH is still my top favorite, as it is more dramatic, but ZOOM LASH is close enough and does make my lashes look noticeably different than anything I have ever tried (other than MAC FRich).
Did not burn, but the only weird thing is that after removal, there are tiny bits of black stringy mucus that come out, like with most mascaras, but these are really black. Removes easily, but having the tiny remnant might freak some people out. I do not mind it so far, but will update as I use it more often. I have only tried the black.
UPDATE: Just tried it on a client today and was shocked at the result. More like LANCOME DEFINICILS on steriods, this makes very long defined lashes and is gorgeous. She was very cocksure that her mascara was just as good, until she looked in the mirror and gasped.

I was so psyched to try this and I am very disappointed! The brush is aweful and does NOT seperate the lashes. My lashes are kinda sparse to begin with and when I was done applying this I ended up with 4 or 5 long black eyelashes sticking out! I tried and tried to seperate my lashes but I couldn't. The actual consistency of this mascara is very liquidy and seems nice. After I applied it though it was too liquidy and the brush was no help. SO basically I just wish the brush was made to seperate the lashes a little better and then maybe this wouldn't be so bad. But for now this is def nothing to bother buying.

Haha, I forgot I used this and didn't like it and came back to give it a bad review. Well the rating "2" still stands. This is clumpy and made my lashes all stick together.

I really wanted to like this but I didn't sadly..I'm giving it a 3 because it gives amazing length to my lashes but did nothing in the way of voulume or thickness..So I ended up with these insanely long, spidery lashes.I'll be sticking with my Fibre Riche

I like this mascara formula, but hate the brush and tube. The brush itself is too small and thin and does less for me than the brushes on really cheapy drugstore mascaras. The neck on the mascara tube is too big too, it doesn't do much to wipe off the excess mascara. Because of these two things, I wasn't too impressed with this mascara the first few times I used it. It clumped, didn't glide on easily and just looked messy.
However, on day 3, I decided to use the wand from an old tube of Maybelline Full n Soft and the results were sooo much better. The larger brush meant more mascara was scraped off (still had to blot it a little) and the mascara glided on much more smoothly, lengthed and let things build up to great volume without clumping. Made all the difference in the world!
Zoomlash has great wear. Lasted all day, held curl fairly well and flakes/smudges less than almost any other mascara I've ever used (there's still a bit after a 12 hour day). And while it isn't waterproof, it has held up on days when my eyes water a lot. Will repurchase.

I am a devoted Lancome Definicils user. Often times, I try to find another mascara that can no only beat the price, but also beat the formula. Well, Zoomlash definitely beat the price by $11.50 but I was pleasantly suprised how well this mascara made my lashes look. I have limpy Asian lashes, and Zoom Lash lengthened them without any clumping. Let's see how long this will last though.

I wasn’t expecting too much from this mascara since the reviews here were so-so, but I LOVE it! I have had the worst luck with mascaras since I have oily eyelids and dark circles, so the combination of my natural oils and the oils in my concealer usually lead to horrible racoon eye no matter what I do to set my concealer. This mascara can clump, but this is remedied by wiping off the excess first and combing through afterwards. This formula is wonderful - I do notice it holds a curl better than most of the ones I’ve tried and it adds incredible length! My non-existent asian lashes are suddenly vaVOOM! It doesn’t thicken really, but it gives great definition to each lash so it looks like your lashes are fuller. I found that this mascara held up fabulously through the day – it’s water resistant, smear-proof and I didn’t end up with racoon-eyes!! Best of all, it’s easy to remove since it’s not a “waterproof” formula. For you gals who have been using Lancome Definicils - try this!!

I agree with previous reviews. Even though the gel formula is kind of interesting, it CLUMPS like no other mascara I have ever bought before. I am not sure if it's the combination of the brush and texture but I'd rather stick with something else.

I have stubborn asian lashes. I use Shiseido eye lash curler and their mascara base.
MAC fibre rich has been my HG mascara. Fibre rich lengthens and thickens, and as long as I wipe off the access, it doesn't clump. I can build my lashes to the point they look like falsies. Now, the down side of fibre rich is this thing HURTS if it gets into your eyes accidentally. Since the formula is creamy, it could smear a bit during hot weather.
MAC zoom lash holds the curl better, and does not clump or smear at all. It lengthens very well, but its thickening power is pretty much non existent. I tried to build it up by applying more coats, but thickening power is still not there.
For this very reason, I'm going back to fibre rich. I want my lashes to look very dramatic. I'll use up what I have, but I probably won't repurchase this except maybe for summer.
EDIT 1/18/05: Since then I found Max Factor lash lift mascara, which does EVERYTHING I ask for a mascara. I won't repurchase this unless for some strange reason MF decides to discontinue MF lash lift.
