OMG, this is the creme de la creme of straightening irons! It's pricey but oh so worth it! My hair stylist at Neiman Marcus used it (along with Kerastase products) on my fine but wavy hair (frizzes in humidity big time) and it was instantly Jenn Aniston/Rachel like just like that. It's a must have!

I saw Jennifer Anniston on "The Edge" in 1992 and her hair looked just like mine; it was wavy and had a lot of volume. Well, after using this hair iron, my hair looks like hers does now, straight and fine. I have used drugstore brand irons, but the difference is like night and day. I don't even have to blow my hair dry; I can let it air-dry, run the iron through and it takes away all the waves and reduces all that unwanted volume.
My hair feels softer, too. Just keep it moving or it'll burn the hair.

Wow! This is the best hair tool on earth! Worth every penny. It heats up ridiculously fast and can even create that curved under ends look that you get from round brushes. I avoid my roots to make sure it doesn't get too flat. Unlike other irons, you just have to run it through your hair instead of heating each section for a few secs.

Can't say enough good things about this flatiron :) I now straighten my hair while watching tv, and it's usually done by the first commercial break! You will NOT regret spending the $$$ on this. My fancy-schmancy salon has replaced its Solano Sapphire irons with Chi, too.

OH MY GOD!! My hair has NEVER been straighter or better looking in 21 years!! This is DEFINITELY my HG for hair! For years, my hair has been untamable, until now. Even though the price is astronomical, I can see that every single dollar is worth it. Now, instead of complaining that my hair is too poofy, I can honestly say its a little too flat!!

I just bought the HAI Iron.... (from what I have read, these two are very similar) I love it. I have CURLY hair...not wavy... CURLY. I have tried ALOT of things to get my hair straight, I must admit that I have even used my clothes iron (this method works if you dont mind total devastation and dryness) anyway... my HAI is my new best friend... I would say that I want to have its babies, but that line has been taken already. (I'd marry it, if it asked me to) This iron only cost me $58 on ebay and I promise, it is probably the best $58 buckaroonies I have ever spent. YAAAAY EDIT 7/28...I have noticed that there aren't many pictures of girls with curly hair on here...if you have curly hair and want to know what this does for your hair, check out my pics I have a before and after picture. :)

I have the Hai convertable. Made by the same company - Farouk. It has a 1 1/2 inch plate set instead of the 1" on the chi and a temp setting on the cord. I have used the Chi also. What can I say. They are the best! Make your hair shiny and silky and as straight as you can want. Also great for adding flips to your hair.

This is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair, and I HAVE tried everything. I love this iron, and thanks so much to MUA for helping me make the decision! I am using it with the Chi Transformation "system" bought online from Discount Beauty, with excellent results. This is definitely my HG!

It took some serious pondering for me to buy this thing..I debated over it for practically months. I thought about getting the Unil. I thought about getting thermal reconditioning. I thought about saying "forget the stupid flatiron, take that money to Nordstrom." Well I ended up buying it...$100 on a Tuesday morning at Trade Secret. I freaking LOOOVE this thing. I want to have it's babies!
My hair is dumb. It doesn't know if it wants to be wavy or straight. It wants be coarse, and loaded with frizz. I've used cheap flatirons, and nicer flatirons but *nothing* has given me the results that this has. It takes me about 10 minutes to iron my full head of horse hair. That's unheard of. I blowdry with a round brush, then Chi and my hair looks like it belongs on the head of Jennifer Aniston. Sleek, shiney, perfectly straight and free of frizz. I can't say enough. It even looks good when Chi *again* for a touch up. Wow. If my apartment was on fire I'd seek this out and rescue it. I *love* CHI!! :)
Oh yeah, I use this with Biosilk silk therapy and Kenra flat iron spray. My hair? Pretty? Yay!!! :D

yes this is the best flat iron I ever bought. One question tho, can I use it without blowdrying my hair? Are you only supposed to use when your hair dry? There was no instruction in the box on how to use it.

Although kinda expensive.. retailing for $200, this is a great flat iron! it's used in alot of salons as the straight iron for straight perms, and it's the best i've tried. It heats up quickly, and takes me only about 10 minues to do all my almost mid-back length hair. It makes it smooth and very straight. Word of caution: keep it moving or risk burning your hair!

Alright, I finally bought it and I finally tried it. I loved it, made my wavy hair very straight. My hair looks longer, more healthy, and I even look older than 24 finally!!! At work, everyone thought I got a new hair style, when all i did was straighten it for a few minutes before work. Love it. Now I can have wavy hair or straight hair on demand. ^_^

This is the topselling hair straightener in Hollywood (so says Instyle magazine) and i can see why. At $200 a pop its pricey but can be found on Ebay for about $100. Heats up quickly and leaves hair straight in 2 minutes for me. I have straight hair but if i dont blow dry it, it develops a little wave. This eliminates blowdrying for me and allows me to touch up my hair any time in just a few minutes when i have last minute plans. My hair looks perfect. My other girlfriend got me hooked on it and she has very curly hair. Her hair takes longer to straighten but it looks goregous and healthy! If you are looking for a ceramic iron, you cant miss with this product.

I have slightly wavy, very fine (but lots of it) highlighted hair, and I had resigned myself to the fact that nothing short of hours in the bathroom would give me perfect hair every day. After I blowdried, it would only take a few hours for my hair to become a limp, scraggly mess. My discovery of the CHI was truly kismet - I had been reading about it on beautybuzz.com, then when I went in for my regularly scheduled highlight, my stylist nonchalantly mentioned this great new product she bought from her rep. She bought another one for me and I purchased it wholsesale from her. I rub some Frizz Ease on the ends and spray it with Sebastian Hot Tools Flat Iron spray before blowdrying, then rub a bit more Biosilk serum, CHI (this has become a verb for me), and in no time at all, I have straight hair that stays sleek all day. I have layers and the CHI really defines them (I usually don't even flip it under or out, though with the CHI, that's possible). My hair is just like Jennifer Aniston's on Friends last season. After a few months of daily use, I've noticed more split ends, but my stylist says overall my hair is in great shape!

If mine ever breaks, I would be lost without it so, yes I would repurchace, for an even higher price. I was lucky enough to get this on ebay on a slow day for about $62. I have since seen them go for more than $100. This thing is a GODsend! I am trying to grow my supershort pixie cut out to a shoulder length bob (oh, I hate that word, bob) and until I found this amazing tool 1 month ago, I was about ready to give up. This iron has renewed my self confidence in the whole "growing out" stage. I now don't long for the days of no maintance, the idea of dealing with my crazy wavy, bendy chin lenghth hair is no longer so daunting. The Chi has saved me so much stress and it absolutly straightens my hair perfectly. It was worth what I paid and so much more. I must admit that growing my hair out has posed more conflicts than I thought it would, number one first and foremost is having to worry about any damage I do is now going to be a long term effect and stick with me for awhile. This iron has made my hair dryer than it has ever been before, but for the payoff, I use a deep conditioner once a week and I can live with it.

After the Hot Tools flatiron I did much research and decided to buy the Chi. It is worth the money. I purchased mine at Trade Secret during a 20% off sale (which they have every Tuesday before 11a.m.). They are regularly sold for 119.95, but after the 20%, and befor taxes, are about $96. Nice.
