I do quite like this mascara. The brush is nice and there is no clumping. I just go with one coat on my top and bottom lashes amnd the effect is lovely - enough to see an effect - but not too dramatic. I deal for daytime wear. It doesn't beat my all time fave - Maybelline 'The Falsies' - but i would repurchase if it was on offer/special. I decided to try it as it was £2 off it Boots and glad i did. Worth a try if you are looking for a nice daytime mascara.

I do like the brush with this, it allowed me to very evenly coat my lashes. The formula as well was not too thick that it clumped a lot but I did notice some balls on the ends of my lashes. That wasn't hot. However, with a quick comb out they looked great and 5 hours later I have no flaking or raccoony eyes. I would rebuy this unless I found something better.

This mascara pretty much sucked. It was super clumpy, hard to maneuver the wand, and was a pain to remove. The original works so much better than this! Yet another marketing scheme to suck you into buying a useless product. One lippie for the cute packaging though.

Stick with the original!

I absolutely LOVE this sleek and classy tube. Have only used once, but this curled and lengthened my lashes beautifully as well as added some thickness. So far, this seems to be really good too as far as not clumping nor flaking at the end of the day. I have to say I really, really like this new take on the Voluminous classic.

This SUCKS. It does give lots of lashes and it doesn't really clump, but it does NOTHING in terms of volume, length, anything. It's pathetic. And the worst part is that it flakes like crazy. I've never had a mascara that flakes like this ever. I threw it into the garbage after about 5 tries.

As much as I wanted to love this priduct, I just didn't. It smells awful (according to my husband, it smells like a grandma) and it was just an average mascara. I did love the brush and that when you twist the cap back on, it clicks into place so you know you actually closed it all the way. Also, I liked that it scraped the excess product off for you, but maybe it takes too much because I barely saw any effect on my lashes.

Nice Try Loreal, but I don't think they can beat their original Voluminous formula. Has that stiff plastic brush that seems to be popular at moment. No clumping and It does a good job of separating lashes but it doesnt add volume. I'm sticking to Voluminous in Carbon Black.

Pretty good stuff. It lengthened well enough and added a decent amount of volume. However L'oreal mascaras make my eyes itch like crazy. I normally don't have sensitivity to mascara at all, other than their's.

I am a HUGE fan of Voluminous and decided to try this new product the other day. I love the packaging and it's updated look. The brush is different and did not put as much mascara on the lashes as the original formula does. It is "nice" but did not blow me away. I am going to stick to the regular Voluminous product for now! I know it's an oldie but its a goodie!! : )

Would I want to buy again? I want to say undecided. (They really need that for an option, don't they?) Gorgeous fancy packaging, guaranteed to garner curious glances with it's super shiny gold metallic exterior. The brush itself is really not bad IMO and it does stop clumping very well... it's just that the "voluminous" claim doesn't really work on this one. If you want more definition than this might be your baby. There are so many little bristles on the wand that it prevents too much buildup (therefore volume) but does do a nice job of separating the lashes. I'm going to give it a few more chances though (hence the tentative "yes" to purchasing again). I often find after a month or so, mascara formulations thicken and you get more volume... to be continued... :)
Edit to add: I'm liking this more. I typically find some mascaras to improve after they've thickened a little. The brush still is really nice to separate and not clump, and if you wriggle right into the base of the lashes and stroke outwards, it does give your lashes a nice feathery look. Still not the best I've ever tried, but I do like it.

Does it give you lashes? YES! A million of them? Really? NO, I don't think so. This mascara does make nice long NOTICIBLE lashes. The voluminous is lacking but I can say you can tell a difference. I love the special top that takes away the excess mascara that does relieve the clumping. So I think it still need a bit of tweeking as for the Million of lashes but I think its a product I would buy again.

I've been a big fan of L'Oreal Voluminous for several years and gone through countless tubes, so I was excited to try this new offering when I saw it at Ulta. I wasn't thrilled. It seemed to work best when applying to go VERY slowly through the lashes, to let it "catch". Otherwise, I ended up with ball tips (like on a hair brush??) on the tips of my lashes. I had to pull out my lash comb which I haven't used in years. I had to rub off the tip to coat my bottom lashes, and it usually made a mess. Plus, I got some flakes. Major fail! Back to Ulta it went.

This mascara is so dissapointing! It defines lashes ok but the name is really misleading...it does not provide volume or length and sometimes deposits product unevenly so my lashes looked really bad. I am so so so dissapointed and would not recommend it.
EDIT: COULD NOT GET PAST THE OVERBEARING SCENT in it...so I happily binned it...which is a first because normally I will always force myself to finish products! Also removed a lippie because it annoyed me.

I gave this 3's all around and a 4 on packaging because it's pretty... but if I could I would have given it a 3.5 overall because I think it's a little above average. However, I would not buy it again. It's okay but not great. The original Volumous mascara is MUCH better!

I bought this wanting to try out something new... The brush does seperate lashes but if you're going for fuller lashes (which I would guess by the name "Volumous' you prob are:) then this doesn't cut it. The original Volumous by L'Oreal creates thicker, fuller and longer lashes while this one is just so-so.

Well, just o.k. I find the packaging sort of cheap looking but the plastic brush thing works well enough. I like the formula and the color - I'm using the black/brown - but I cheat because I use Lancome's lash base and almost any mascara is better over a base, especially if you curl your lashes first, I have found. Three lippies. Probably won't repurchase.

Pros: Helps lengthen. Easily removable.

Cons: Did NOTHING for volume. Cheap packaging. Bad wand/brush. Formula less than mediocre.

Terrible cheap packaging. The handle was very loose on mine which worries me about air exposure issues. Brush itself is too plasticy bendy, EXTREMLY CHEAP overall. This is nothing like the original Volumonous. I will not repurchase, this was a huge disappointment.

Commercials for this product are a complete gimmick.

In my forty years of using mascara, this has got to be the worst I've ever used.

It did nothing to lengthen or thicken my lashes.

And it smells like ink!

I got this a few days ago and I don't like it as much. I clumps my lashes together and it does not really volumize my lashes. I like MAYBELLINE'S The Falsies Volum way better!! Well, at list I got to try it and now I know I don't like it!!
