I first used this when my nose was moderately itchy & I just wanted some sort of moisturizer to calm it down. Which it did. I know it's not used for that, it was just a one quick fix & I did not buy it for that reason. I liked the dual action idea. I tried it out after using my Clean & Clear cleanser. It was kind of stingy, but it felt good as I was applying it. There were a few days when I had redness from it, I can tell because it was the same stinging & it went away after not using it. I gave it to my friend who has almost severe acne. He wasn't bothered by anything, & I can't tell if he's been using it consistently so I won't say anything on that part. For me, I can use this sparingly because I don't have any pimples, just little bumps. It does leave my skin soft!

I have very acne prone skin - so I needed something that'll help my skin. this did not make my face any worse, but it also did not make it any better. It just maintained everything. But too me, that's good - becuase I use Revlon Colorstay for foundation and it's notorious for breaking skin out - this prevents me from breaking out from my foundation, plus it's a great moisturizer to use before your foundation. You cannot rely on solely this product to treat your acne, considering the only acne fighting ingredient it has is Salicylic acid - but if you have acne prone skin, and need a good moisturizer that wont break you out, this is for you. OH - btw, you might get white heads in the first few days of using this - that's just because the Salicylic Acid is fighting acne and dirt off of your face and bringing it to the surface. It's normal and not severe, so don't freak. :D

While this doesn't seem to do anything for acne, it feels nice on the skin.
When first applied, it feels cooling, especially around the cheeks. The texture is pretty runny, but it spreads well and actually moisturizes. Because it's so light, those of you with drier skin probably won't like this as much.
Like everyone says, the lack of SPF is a bummer - I only use this at night and on days I'm staying home the entire day.
4 oz of facial moisturizer will take me forever to use up, so I probably won't repurchase b/c I'll probably find other better moisturizers by then.

I keep coming back to this product. It's the best moisturiser I have tried, and I have tried many. I have very oily skin, and wheras I do not think it controls oil, it's still a good daily moisturiser. It does leave my skin feeling soft, silky and very fresh and clean, which is just lovely. It does have a tingly sensation, so it might irritate sensitive skins, it's perfect for me.
Whereas I do not think it treats spots as such, it definitely helps to prevent them because of the salicylic (it that how you spell it????) acid, however the percentage is not nearly enough to help really acne prone skin. It is the perfect base for makeup, it's light, but still does its job well. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for dry or sensitive skin, but oily and combo definitely. Just don't expect miracles: if what you're after is fantastic oil control, you won't be satisfied with this.
The one major letdown with this product is the lack of SPF, but it just makes my skin so happy, I'd rather use a separate SPF or a primer with an SPF, than stop using this.

another cheap drugstore find which is generally okay but has nothing about it that i would buy again for. didnt really clear up or really prevent acne but it did moisturise & didnt break me out at all. it left my skin feeling really clean so i can see it working for people who need a moisturiser with some sort of treatment in it but overall i think you can do bettr for an acne moisturiser

Pros: lightweight, non-greasy, has a soft feel.
Cons: after a few hours makes skin look and feel very oily, exacerbates skin problems - made flare ups more red and caused zits around my mouth. Also makes skin more sun-sensitive probably due to the salicylic acid. I'm switching to something I hope will be more effective for me.

For super oily skin, the advantage oil-free moisturizer (the one in purple and silver) is better. This is only for my super oily skin during WINTER. I use it only on my dry spots, which I get on random days. Sometimes it makes my skin super oily, other times it helps with the oiliness. I will never use this in the summer because it always makes my face worse. This lotion doesn't feel greasy, but it doesn't prevent acne either. It's okay.

Wow. For a moisturizer that's oil-free and made for acne, it sure does give me a oily face and little pimples. Huh, kinda thought it would do the opposite. I bought this when I was in Florida visiting my aunt because I didn't bring my Aveeno one. I don't know if it was because of the temperature or the fact that I was switching moisturizers, but my face was slick and I got pimples. I immediately stopped using it when I got home and when I started using my Aveeno one my face went back to normal. Then one fateful day, I decided to give this moisturizer another chance and it did the same thing again. So I threw it away and in the trash it will always stay.
