I tried this a few weeks ago in a sample from Sephora. I hate this stuff with a passion! It has an awful, awful odor to it, similar to tobacco/cigarretes. I personally hate the smell of smoke. The longer you leave it on your hair, the worse the odor gets. It does go away after shampooing and drying. The results were just okay, no better than with any other deep conditioner. If you hate the smell of cigarette smoke, or are allergic to it, this is definitely not for you. I think those who already smoke won't be offended by the odor. I would not repurchase this because of the odor and you can get the same or better results with other pleasant smelling deep conditioner treatments.

This stuff is AWESOME and really does everything it says it will do. I'm actually shocked that it lives up to its hype. My hair was like frazzled straw, and 3 hours with a bit of this stuff on my hair and it was like soft silk. Better then that, my hair stayed soft and silky for 3 days! Ojon rinses completely clean leaving no oily residue, no residual smell to clash with your perfume, and left my hair super silky and shiny. I definitly highly recommend splurging and spending the $55 if your hair isn't looking and feeling like you want it to. One word on the smell - the sample I tried had much more of a 'burnt coffee/incense' smell to it, but the $55 jar of it that I bought smells like cocoa and chocolate toffee caramel! My boyfriend even agrees it is somewhat pleasant, and he is very sensitive to smells. Maybe every batch varies in smell as well as in appearance? (The burnt coffee smell isn't that bad by the way. Nothing you can't get over through wearing a plastic cap. It's totally worth it.) I have also used it as a glosser on my dry hair after flat-ironing it and the results were fabulous - kept my hair stick straight and shiny for days. I am really glad I took a chance on this. The jar will last me for months but I will definitly repurchase.

One word: AWESOME!
My hair was a nightmare before I used this stuff. Straw-like, brittle, porous, super-dry and frizzy. I coloured and abused it so much, and it just gradually gets worse.
First of all I would say that some people are extremely overreacting when it comes to the smell. I was almost not going to buy it, because I read that it smellt so gross.
I doesn't! It is strong, I agree. But I actually adore the smell! I applied it at night and left it in the whole night. Then in the morning washed it with the Ojon shampoo and the conditioner. The shampoo seemed to get rid of the greasy ojon oil in a gentle way, and the conditioner made it super soft.
Then I let it dry naturally, and put some more of the restorative treatment in as a leave in conditioner. As a result my hair was shiny, smooth and super soft!It just looked soooo sleek, and my dry ends just sucked up all the ojon oil. The treatment and the conditioner smell about the same, although the conditioner is less strong.
When you first open it it does smell really strong. But when you put it in your hair, it smells of incense, patchouli. Kinda hard to describe.
Just try some samples of it! Maybe like me you'll like the scent. I personally don't need my hair smelling like strawberries or whatever. That's why you wear perfume. I'd rather have great hair. Also the fact that it is all natural is a huge plus. All those shampoos like Pantene just coat your hair with silicones to make it shine, but adds build-up. I find that after I wash it out my hair smells like I've been to the hairdresser. Even if you do hate the smell, you'll get over it after you see your hair!

I really love this hair product. The scent takes some getting used to. Smells like a mixture of tobacco and coffee. Once you get past the scent you are going to love what this does to your hair. This leaves my hair super soft and full of body. I was amazed that a deep conditioner would create body and shine on my baby fine hair but it did. Whenever I need to have an amazing hair day I just lather some of this on, put a plastic shower cap over top, and let it sit for a few hours. This is definitely one of my favorite pre-shampoo hair treatments. I love it!

I love, love, love this product. I have long, thick, wavy hair that I highlight and also blow dry and flat iron almost daily. There have been a lot of complaints about the scent and while I will say it is strong, it really is not that bad IMHO. It smells like a weird mix of tobacco, cocoa and perfume. Nonetheless, I am able to keep the product on my head for several hours without being bothered by it. My only real issue is that I do have to wash my hair 2-3 times with shampoo to really feel like I have gotten all of the oil out of my head, but it's so worth it in the end. My hair is much softer and silkier than it has been with any of the other products I've used (Aveda, Redken, Nexxus, etc). Would definitely recommend.

I rarely stray from my Lush products but my mom sent this as a gift for me and I just LOVE it. I have super long, color treated hair and I do deal with tangles and dry ends alot. This works well before shampooing as a deep treatment (I leave it in for about 30 mins)....it makes my hair very soft and silky and actually seems to penetrate easier than heavier treatments. I think the oil just soaks into my hair better. I actually like this best as a leave-in though...I rub a tiny piece in my hands and then all over my hair before and after I blow dry and my hair is so shiny, soft, and healthy looking again. I'm surprised so many people didn't like the smell b/c I love it. It's such a warm, earthy but somehow sweet scent. B/c of the tiny amount I use (and I really mean TINY) this will last me for a year I bet so I won't have to repurchase for a long time. But I will try the other products in the line now.

I am just too impressed! I received a sample of this stuff not knowing anything about it. The sample was so tiny that it did not cover my long, thick hair, but I did comb it through and tried to cover as much as I could. The results....WHOA! It really does change the texture. My hair was shiny, bouncy and looked better than if I had just had it blown out at a salon. I quickly ordered a combo pack of 4 different products from QVC.com. This stuff is very expensive, but so well worth it! The smell doesn't bother me at all. It is actually kind of nice. I noticed that a lot of people are selling sample sizes on ebay. Do yourself a favor and try it out. I am so excited about this product and can't wait to try the serum, poo and cond. UPDATE: I am sad to report that the beautiful, soft, bouncy hair only lasts the first few times you use this stuff. With continued use it started to dry out my hair. I am back on the hunt for another HG.

Love, Love, Love this product line. The deep conditioner smells like burning cofee and cigarettes, but I still give it 5 stars because it WORKS!!! I have very thick, coarse, highlighted blonde hair that has never been shiny, EVER. This product has totally changed the texture of my hair. My hair now shines like crazy, which I didn't think was possible.

My hair type is long (half way down my back) color treated blonde, thin, flat, oily roots, and dry ends.

I recieved a sample of this from Sephora today, of course I wanted to try it before spending $55 bucks on a full size. When I first opened the package I thought I was going to throw up! The scent was not bad as people claim, but weird- and strong. It smells like someone is burning a pack of cheap cigarettes and blowing it in your face. The sample size was not enough to saturate my hair until it was completely moist, but I used every bit of the .26 oz sample on dry hair until I coated just the surface of about all of my hair and combed it through a few times. It had the texture of a grainy body scrub but it completely melted as I rubbed my hands together. I had planned to sleep in this but after 10 minutes I began to get so nauseated that I had to rinse it out. I first rinsed my hair, then followed up with a very cheap shampoo -Suave Green Apple shampoo. I used this because its very cheap which means it strips out everything like a clarifier and it has a strong apple scent which I was hoping to replace that smoke scent. The directions on the Ojon packet said Shampoo then dry hair- I totally agree after 1 shampoo my hair was rinsed clean of this oil and very soft & silky and I would not have needed a conditioner BUTTT the smell was so strong and I was so sick I had to shampoo twice, and then I felt the need for a little conditioner to help with my long tangly hair. I was surprized at how easily the oil rinsed off and how silky and shiny my hair looked when it was only wet. Unfortunately it did not rinse off my hands that easy. After blow drying I was amazed! I wanted to hate this product because of its awful smell and price tag but I just couldnt. My hair was amazingly shiny, you could actually tell for the first time in my life that I have 3 shades of blonde highlights in my hair. My thin flat hair was now thicker feeling, bouncy, yet smooth and sleek. Even after other great conditioners my hair feels sleek but never silky as this. Like literal silk. This product was like a mousse, gel, volumizer, deep condtioner, leave in conditioner, and shine treatment in one....Now for the sad part, I threw up after blow drying because that tiny packet had been open in my room while I was letting the ojon treatment sit in my hair.. the smell is that strong & this is the first product besides perfume to actually make me throw up but it worked so well that i will be purchasing this again I will just have to sit outside next time I use it. I wish everyone could feel and see my hair right now its beautiful. After rinsing I just blew dry my hair and combed it out with my hands and I look like I used 10 styling products to get the thickness, softness, shine, & bounce. Silky for me always means my hair will be coated and weighed down but soft and silky- but nooo my hair is voluminous & thick feeling By far the best hair product I have ever used in my life! To be completely honest before I go to bed I will have to wash my hair a few more times to get rid of that smell or else I will be so sick I will probably faint from this smell but my hair looks awesome. I hope to God they add some fruity scent to this if not I will have to deal with puking every time I use it but it is so worth it!!!! *Note this was after 1 use for ONLY 10 min, I can only imagine using this for the full 20 min or over nite & using more then a sample size id have the best looking hair on earth! **update** okay this is still the best stuff on earth but since i ended up washing my hair 4 times before the night was over with, the shampooing dried my hair out I had to use another deep condtioner, as much as idlove to keep using this if the smell is so strong and wont rinse out within 3 rinses then Ill just end up drying my hair out every time i use it.. bleh!!!

This is an unbelievable!! I only used it once, but after just one use my hair felt wonderful!! I have naturally curly unruley hair. I also use the shampoo and conditioner from this line. The smell of the product doesn't really bother me much. I was worried it would leave my hair smelling like that. But when I used their shampoo and conditioner afterward, my hair smelled awesome. This stuff is expensive, but you don't use that much so it will last a long time. Would definately repurchase!!

I have been using Ojon for a year and I have never had such a wonderful head of hair ever! I do not have the breakage or split ends I used too and it is growing longer!!!

This product will make your hair so shiny! The smell is way to strong for me, it makes me nauseated after 20 minutes. (That's how long you are suppose to leave the treatment in) Overall my hair is shiny, silky smooth even if the results are temporary.

This is the "BEST" pre-treatment I have ever used. It leaves your hair so soft and healthy. If you can get past the smell (it smells like ash tray) you will be very happy with this product. I am on my 2nd jar.
