This mascara is very difficult to use, however if you figure it out it looks really nice. I have never used a fiber mascara so maybe they are all like this. I bought this after I got the new sephora cat and it sounded awesome. I usually use Dior show. I was going to take it back after my fist experience because it looked horrible, but I gave it another shot. So What I have learned:
Do not curl your lashes after applying this mascara!!! If you must use very light pressure. Your lashes will be so stuck toghther if you curl them
Apply this mascara with light strokes. With show I wiggle the brush and really get in my lashes Not with fiberwig. Just coat lightly.
I am going to keep this because it does look really nice if I do all this. Not much volume with this mascara but it does lengthen.

As a true believer in L'Oreal's "Voluminous" Mascara, I was eager to try this product, hyped as it was as "false eyelashes" in a tube. The product is in a nice hefty tube, as you would expect from a $22 mascara. The brush is a straight, fat brush, tapered to a point. I curled my lashes and applied one coat to start. Fiberwig added some length, with no clumps, but not nearly as much as my favorite Voluminous mascara. I added a second coat and got nearly the same length as I do with one coat of Voluminous. It's a good product for lengthening, but i think i will stick with my L'Oreal.

This mascara is in the same line as Kiss Me and Mirenesse. It doesn't add much volume or length. It doesn't do much of anything at all really. However, it also doesn't smudge which is my main concern. What good is the look of false eyelashes if you get racoon eyes by mid morning? So, I am willing to sacrafice all the volume and stuff that everyone goes ga-ga for just to have something that ABSOLUTELY will NOT smudge. And this is one that doesn't smudge to be sure. If smudging isn't your issue I doubt you will be happy with this mascara. (Oh and it comes off EASILY with just water so I don't know why anyone would have an issue with removing it. Follow the instructions and it will come off just fine.)

You can compare this to "Kiss Me" Mascara except that it's better. I picked mine up at Sephora for $22. The first few times I used it I wasn't impressed because I only used one coat. But I accidentally discovered how to look like you're wearing false lashes. After putting on the first coat of mascara, I realized that I forgot to curl one eye. So I gently curled it after putting one coat on. It looked CRAZY long and then I put another coat on and it was AMAAAAZING. It added all these fiber extentions onto the lashes. So, the moral of the story is ...
Curl lashes
Put on first coat and let dry
Gently curl again
Then layer on a second coat. Voila! You look like you're wearing falsies! Lucky for me I discovered this on Valentine's Day! XOXO

Ugh. I was so disappointed w/ this mascara. The claims are all false. Not thicker lashes, Not Longer lashes. Not Nothin' Worst of all. I couldn’t get the darn stuff off of my eyes..using Almay MU remover (Oil Based), Using hot soapy water, Using Cold Cream, none of it worked. I had to scrub scrub scrub. I lost a few lashes just getting this stuff off my eyes at night. It was awful. The price being $22 I could have bought Dior Show for a $1.50 more and been overly pleased or I could have spent less on YSL Faux Cils and been overly pleased. Do not Buy this product. It is a rip off (in more ways than one...once you count the lashes I lost trying to remove it.)

This is one of those "too good to be true" mascaras that I've tried in my attempt to find the HG mascara to give volume and length to my all around medium (length, volume, color) lashes. Ideally I love my lashes to look full and long but be soft to the touch. I don't usually curl my lashes, so holding a curl doesn't really come into play with me.
Here are the pros:
*The brush comes out fairly clean, despite having "fibres" which you can kind of see on the brush, there is no need to scrape or wipe off excess product.
*Though my lashes are short, I can manipulate the large brush and avoid getting mascara on my lid.
*The bottle is cute (despite the uneccessary plastic box it comes in--overpackaged.)
*Washes off easily with warm water--no need for remover.
*Gave me some length, and a bit of volume, made my lashes dark.
*Did NOT smudge on me, even after napping with the baby!
*Seems like it would hold curl, since my lashes felt kind of "springy" (for lack of a better word), even seemed to lift my lashes without being curled.
Cons:
*For me, it didn't give the length that is promised, or much volume
*Depending on the day I either had natural looking lashes or spider legs.
*The texture just wasn't for me, not bad--but not what I like.
*Too expensive for what it does for my lashes.

I like this Mascara. It really wont smudge at all!! and love the fact that it removes easily with warm water. Only that it's not dramatic enough.

This is the absolute WORST mascara I have ever used. I don't know if the formula I bought at sephora is different than what they have in asia, because I read the other reviews and it sounded great, but this stuff is not!!!!! I have long, kinda thick lashes, so it should be easy for a mascara to make them look nice. I tried applying this stuff every way I could think of, and no matter what I did it made my lashes stick together, giving me the WORST spider eyes I have ever experienced. Did not lengthen. Did not thicken. Irritated my eyes when I took it off. AFUL!!!! Don't waste your money!!

Dramatic, false lashes? Uhh....NO. Pretty, soft lashes? YES. Not much more to say than that! I DO give it some credit, however, for not releasing the curl in my eyelashes one little bit, it's the first mascara I've ever found that I didn't have to recurl after mascara application. I like this mascara, but wouldn't buy again because it simply isn't what it claims to be, not even close. Update: The day I wore this I fell asleep with my makeup on (I know, bad bad bad!) but to its credit, Fiberwig did NOT smudge or smear at all during the night.
UPDATE: I gave this another chance and it's now my HG mascara, it lengthens unbelievably (now that I know to use more than one coat) and it holds my curl. I tossed all my other mascaras (including Lancome & Chanel) and am now solely devoted to this one. I find that I don't even have to use a lash primer anymore. AMAZING MASCARA!!! I will buy for the rest of my life, no matter what the price!!!

I really dislike this mascara, maybe i'm impartial cause i hate waterproof mascaras, but this one did not even lenghten or volumize my lashes at all,and when i went to remove it i had a horrible time, and my lashes were stiff as well,i would not buy this product ever again

First thing I noticed that it had big brush compared to others but it's actually not that bad to use. After application it does lengthen my lashes and give a quite natural look. The best of this mascara is that it doesn't smudge - it is waterproof in a way such as if you've got teary eyes or rub it it won't smudge but of course it'll flake a little. In the end of the day you can easily remove it with warm water.

This is my absolute HG mascara, i'm on my second tube and planning on buying more from Asia because it's cheaper there, although it's available through Sephora now. I've been searching for a mascara that does not smudge ever since i started wearing it in high school (i'm in university now) but have never been able to until I was introduced to Fiberwig mascara! It is not entirely waterproof but it does NOT smudge at all and removed like a dream - with warm water! Granted it DOES, as previously mentioned, flake a little towards the end of the day but that's nothing compared to its benefits. It gives me super long lashes. No volume but that's fine with me, i usually just layer with a volumizing mascara if i want volume. HG HG HG!!!

My eyes are very sensitive.
I used Maybeline, L'oreal, Fasio, and Lancome Hypnose mascara, they're all good mascara (except Fasio -- i hate it.) but they still irritate my eyes.
Late of the day my eyes usually started to tear and it's so hard just to keep my eyes open. Sometime I even had to removed the mascara off while I was at work. But this Dejavu mascara does not irritate my eyes at all!
It is not water-proof but it does not give you the panda look in the evening. I have oily skin, even water proof mascara gave me the panda eyes sometimes. But this one does not!!
Apply it alone and you'll get natural lengthened lashes. (It's very natural that it looks like it's your real eye lashes.) It lengthen pretty well.
It does not weight your lashes down.
If you want it curl, curl AFTER you apply the mascara and the curl will stay all day.
And because it is not water-proof, you can easily remove it with warm water.
I really love this mascara, esp. the part that it does not irritate my eyes at all.
And the price is not expensive at all!
This mascara is absolutely my HG!
*Edit* - I was on my 3rd Dejavu but then I tried Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Neo -- oh, please! I've found a new HG!! So, I won't buy dejavu again, sorry. Dejavu is good, but Majorlica is just wayyyyy better!

I'm on my 3rd tube now, and while it does a great job of lengthening, I have several issues with it.
It flaks quite a bit, but not a lot, but sometimes I only realise it when I head for the washroom..and that's embarrassing considering how many people have seen the flak but not bother to tell me about it.
The wand is too big and because it's so big, a lot of the fiber gets into my eyes or my inner eyelids, and it's frustrating to wipe it off because it's one big black glob..and I'm still having this problem after nearly a year of using this product.
It holds up curls VERY WELL and I have dolly eyes after using it. It lengthens very well, but not so much at thickening. Still, considered good for a drugstore product!

As of 2010, I've gone 5 tubes of this mascara. I really do love the first version one, when they first launched in Japan. But, I still buy it nowadays on and off. I never tried the one that sells at Sephora, US market one. But, I always buy from Hong Kong or Japan. My friend told me, the effect is different between the US and Asian version. So, I guess the low ratings here mostly from US version one. Go and buy from adambeauty.com or Asia. You need some 'technique" to get the effect. I'm Asian with normal lashes, not too straight or short for typical Asian or Chinese descent. I find it works the best when I don't use any mascara base/primer...repeat: NO MASCARA BASE NEEDED!!!! I just apply a couple coats until I achieve the desire look that I want. Sometimes 5 coats or I just keep applying it fast, before it gets really dry and Voila, my lashes are lengthen and it stays curled. Only 2 or 3 coats is nothing. That's the good thing about this, it won't clump that bad after few coats. But remember, do it fast and use metal lashes comb after from top lashes outward. I don't like how it turns out when I use mascara base. It gets more dry and brittly due to the fiber content in Fiberwig.

This is the best mascara I've ever used. Not only did it lengthen your own lashes, it also curls. What I love from this product is that I can easily clean it off and it never gives me panda eyes at all. Yes indeed it doesn't add a lot of volume to the lashes but it looks natural and nice, which is the effect that I want. It makes my lashes adorable. Love it and would definitely buy (in fact have already bought) it again.

I just love this mascara! It’s so easy to use - just a few swipes up the eyelashes to get the cute dolly eyelashes mentioned by other reviewers. There’s no need for any wiggling of the wand up the eyelashes or any wiping of the brush beforehand. The mascara always applies smoothly, doesn't smudge, lashes are lengthened perfectly separated and most importantly for me, holds a curl. In fact, it is just about the only mascara that I have used that doesn’t cause my stubborn eyelashes to droop. Another plus is that it’s cheap – sasa.com sells it for about $AU16.
I have tried so many mascaras, both high and low-end and this one comes close to being a HG. If only it were more dramatic as it does not thicken at all. For reference, I have short, straight Asian eyelashes and use it over Shiseido Mascara Base. This is my everyday mascara. If I want volume, I use DiorShow.

I got this after seeing how well it worked for a girl from another makeup site and after hearing its the bestselling mascara in Japan. It didn't work so well for me though. It doesn't hold a curl, nor does it lenghthen that well(something that its suppose to do). I won't be repurchasing again.

this is such a mistake for me. it doesn't curl up my lashes, in fact, it kinda bring it down! i do not have natually curl up lashes, therefore, i need something that can 'build up' my lashes & this is not helping at all. may be good for those with not so stubbon lashes.

I bought this about 2 months ago, I love how it's smudge proof--no more panda eyes at night for me, a bonus if you're from somewhere humid. Also loved the individual fibers which attach to your lashes,no need for primer! It gave me a delicate dolly look; I know it's contradictory but it looks amazingly natural at the same time. Great if you curl your lashes. No volume at all, though.
The tube is really pretty--shimmery ruby with a quaint picture of a winking eye.
BUT! I really don't like how the tiny bits of mascara crumble. It's not significant but still...
I won't buy it again, only because my tube's new and I'm constantly searching for other kinds.
