I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin with a lot of hyperpigmentation scars that refuse to fade. I tried this concealer on a recommendation after years of using Neutrogena and was really impressed with the coverage. An added bonus - the "light" color is almost a perfect match for my skin tone, so I didn't need to blend much. It didn't look cakey and easily lasted all day. Unfortunately, my face broke out in terrible cystic acne after two days of wearing the concealer. It's been almost a month and the problem still hasn't fully resolved, even though I stopped using it right away. Although this concealer felt like a godsend when I wore it since I had clear-looking skin for the first time in ten years, it's not good for acne-prone skin. I've gone back to Neutrogena until my face clears up a bit and then I'll be trying something else. I'll keep it for when I need to cover my tattoos, but other than that, I wish I had never tried it. My skin has never been in worse shape.

I actually would've given this a 3/5, but I still gave it a 4 anyway, since products like these are SO hard to come by at this price. Hard Candy actually used to be sold at sephora, but went bankrupt, but Walmart accepted them to be sold there. That kind of explains why their products are high quality, but affordable. These are my thoughts:

It is such a great value! For six dollars you not only get .71 ounces in the tube, (almost three fourths of your standard one fluid ounce foundation!) you also get a concealer pencil! A really big plus is that Hard Candy doesn't test on animals! Hear that animal lovers?!

Coverage: Very full. A little goes a super long way, so a tube should last you forever, and by the way, I've seen it actually cover up tattoos. It really works!

Formula: I should mention that this concealer has petrolatum (or petroleum) in it first ingredient, along with other oils, such as lanolin and mineral oil. It's not necessarily bad, because that is what makes the concealer so creamy. Also, I should note here that the ingredients list here is VERY similar to Amazing Cosmetics amazing concealer and Benefit's erase paste, I believe. Not exactly the same, but they use basically the same kinds of things. Surprisingly, when I put this concealer on, it didn't break out my acne prone skin.

The good: Great value, insanely full coverage, little goes a long way, and similar to other high end concealers

The bad: Cakes up easily, very limited shade selections, takes forever to dry because of the ingredients, doesn't last in humidity.

Overall, I like this concealer, it's not perfect, but hey, what do expect for six dollars? With good exfoliating and moisturizing, this would make a great winter concealer.

This is the best concealer I've tried! The coverage is unbelievable and you hardly have to use any. I use this almost every single day and have had it for over a year, yet the tube is still full of product! The price is very reasonable

Not sure if I got a bad batch of this stuff or what. I was so excited to try this based on the good reviews, but was disappointed as soon as I got home and swatched it on my hand. It seemed like the formula was separated. When I squeezed some product out of the tube, I got a little pigment and a lot of oily liquid. Needless to say, I ended up returning it. Has this happened to anyone else? I prefer my Physicians Formula Conceal Rx to this.

I have olive tan skin and this is the only drugstore concealer that matches my skin. All the other ones are too pink or ashy or light. And it covers like a dream! Amazing.

This product is amazing! I made the mistake of buying it in medium when I am really more of the tan shade and it still blended pretty easily but the coverage was heavily sheered out. I went back and bought the tan one, and it is perfect! It's so easily to conceal acne scarring and active acne. I use a little product (a little goes a long way!) and dot it over my problem areas and tap it into my skin and it gives AMAZING coverage. I don't even use foundation any more. I use the medium shade to cover my undereye circles and use a tiny bit of the tan shade over it. You have to be really careful with how much product you use or it will settle into any fine lines. It is also a little too cakey for the undereye area so be sparing with the product! I set it with some powder or eye shadow and it does wonders! Will definitely repurchase if I ever run out.

I LOVE THIS CONCEALER!!!!!! It creamy and is the most pigmented drugstore concealer on the market. It goes on beautifully and a little goes a looooooong way which means it covers EVERYTHING zits, hyperpigmination, blemishes, you name it it will cover it all. I only have 2 complaints. 1 being I feel like it never sets but with a powder it looks fine and 2 being it lasts ok not a full day maybe a good 5-6 hours (maybe because of the creaminess) depending on how much you put on and powder. Overall DEFINETLY repurchase!!!

For 6 dollars this concealer is holy grail. It comes with a pencil with is used to outlined tattoos before concealing but I use it to conceal to tiny spots on my face. This stuff is absolutely flawless and a LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Less than a pea size amount is enough for my under eyes and acne scarring. This packaging is not exactly attractive in my opinion but the tube is pretty convenient. I adore it and this is seriously going to last forever. It is an absolute brilliant product and I totally recommend.

Although the term "pepperoni pizza face" may seem a little harsh, it's quite the accurate description of my face; Oily t-zone and nose (with dry patches everywhere else...can you say best of both worlds?) and acne. Everywhere.
So to say that I've exhausted the concealer market is perhaps an understatement. I've tried just about every brand, be it high or low end, and bless their hearts, they just can't seem to cover my list of requirements. When shopping for a concealer it has to cover anything and everything, match me, blend in, not cake at all, and stay put come hell or high water.
With a list like that, it's no wonder I've had trouble finding something worthy.
When I first tried Glamoflague, I hated it. It was thick, cakey, difficult to blend and just downright annoying, but boy oh boy did it cover. The concealer splotches on my face may have turned me into a high school geography map, but my acne was gone. So I kept it around, ya know, just in case.
People may be having trouble with this concealer because...well, it's no ordinary concealer. I really can't think of any other way to phrase it, as corny as it may sound. So I guess it goes without saying that a unique concealer requires a unique application to work.
First, I'm just gonna echo everyone else's statements and say yes, a little goes a long way. Take that from someone whose entire face is a problem area, you don't need that much. That's why I love the squeeze tube it comes in. Unlike others that seem to vomit out globs without any warning, the pin head type applicator gently dispenses a small, perfect amount. I'd say take about half as much as you think you'll need. You'll be surprised at how much this little guy covers.
Next, work it up a little with your fingers before applying to help warm it up, then apply. I like to use my fingers (clean of course) because I feel it helps blend the product better.
Now I've always been one to blend in with my fingers, but that just doesn't seem to cut it with this concealer, due to it's thick consistency. I've shied away from blending with a brush, because in my experience, it typically removes product. In this case however, a brush is perfect! I take my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and stipple, just stipple, never buff, and it blends the concealer flawlessly. You can't even tell it's on, or that there's acne underneath.
This is also a VERY long wearing concealer, so minimal powder is needed. I'd say, the less you use, the better.
And as far as concealing undereye circles go...just don't. This product is too thick for the thin skin under the eyes. It will only look cakey and heavy. You can give it a shot if you want, but don't say I didn't warn you.
All in all, it's a great concealer, the best if you know how to work with it. Plus, it's so gosh darn cheap and there's a lot of product, so I have a feeling if I buy, say, 10, I should be good for life.
So I can only say "Heck yes!" to repurchasing, and will continue to enjoy the flawless face that only this concealer can bring me.
