I've been using this product by Aveeno for a month now, and I am extremely satisfied with it. After reading so many of the negative comments about this product, I was very wary when buying it, however I decided to take a chance. The packaging of this product is rather nice, its simple, clean, and pretty. The cream cleanser is the usual 2% salycic acid treatment and is very mild with gentle exfoliating beads. After using the cleanser, my face always feels refreshed and clean- never tight or dry like other cleansers I have used. While reading other reviews, many people noted dry/flaky red spots on their face. I haven't experienced this at all. This cleanser has kept my skin in perfect balance. As for the smell of this product, it is not bad, but I would describe it as a lotion/sunblock smell. It doesn't bother me at all. I use this product once a day at night before I go to bed and I follow it up with a benzoyl peroxide lotion. This regimen works wonders for me. I will continue to buy this product for a very long time.

Would I buy this again? No.

My skin has been drying up on me lately, and I thought this would be a nice, gentle cleanser. It actually was for about a week. Then the skin around my mouth started to burn. I thought it might have been my new moisturizer, but it wasn't! This stuff made me want to rip my face off! The area around my mouth was bright red, irritated, and flaky! Its pretty much scarred me from Aveeno products, and yet, I tried there moisturizing cleanser to only have the same thing happen. I don't think Aveeno likes me.

i had been using this cleanser for about two weeks and all this did was cleanse my face and did nothing to my acne. This didn't even out my skin tone. The things i do like about it was the scent and the micro beads. It sounds impressive you read the back description and looks like it'd work when squeeze it out but overall not a good cleanser for people with acne and sensitive uneven skin tone.

I've been using this for the past year or so and I really love this cleanser. I initially bought it because I needed something to cleanse my face of sebum that accumulates during the day in my t-zone, particularly the area around my nose. My skin is quite dry aside from the t-zone, but this cleanser doesn't feel harsh on the rest of my face.

This isn't a cleanser that has instant results. But in the time that I've used it, I've seen my blackheads reduce considerably since using this, and the pores become less visible. Recently, I ran out and didn't bother to pick up another tube for about two weeks, but in that time, I gained quite a few pimples even though I usually never have any at all. I also noticed that there was quite a bit of sebum left in the deeper layers of my skin when I skipped this cleanser. Only a few days after including this back into my skin-care routine, my blemishes cleared right up.

After a super-mild soap (I use Dial), I massage the cleanser all over my face, focusing more on the t-zone. I finish with Aveeno's moisturizer (green or blue packaging, depending on the seasons) and my skin always feel incredible. Yes, a mild soap. This cleanser isn't perfect and won't remove much of the oil . I've found that it's better at cleansing the deeper layers of your skin like black heads (over time with regular use) and sebum within the pores of your skin. However, the benefits of this cleanser is well-worth the extra minuscule step of using a mild soap. Highly recommended.

I love this cleanser! Even tho it's a cream, it rinses clean and never leaves a film. I love the exfoliating beads and that they are gentle enough for everyday use. I also like that after I use this cleanser it doesn't make my face feel tight. I use It morning and night along with the Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizer. I love this routine because It's super simple, never dries my skin out and my skin is always super soft and smooth + no redness. I'm not sure how well this cleanser takes off makeup. I always take my makeup off with Purpose face wash. This cleanser does what is says in my book.

I use this every morning and evening as my main cleanser. I like it because it doesn't dry my face out, gently (but effectively) exfoliates my skin, and has a luxurious creamy texture. I have acne-prone skin, especially when I am stressed, and this cleanser does a good job of keeping blackheads from appearing. It won't "cure" your acne on it's own of course, but it has improved my acne somewhat. A lot of "acne cleansers" are basically the same formula- salacylic acid and exfoliating beads in some kind of cleansing liquid. I have literally tried every single one in the drug store (and some from the department store) and I like this product the most because it has the perfect balance of moisture and cleanser for my skin. The packaging is also quite nice.

It reminds me of the green scrub from Neutragena but not as great. It's creamy & has small exfoliants in it that work really good. I will not be repurchasing because it being so similar to the green scrub I like that better, the smell was better & the price. So I will stick to the green scrub. This is still a great product & I will use the rest of what I have but will not be an HG for me. I have dry/combo. NC30 skin w/hormonal breakpouts.

This left a film on my face everytime I used it, did NOTHING to prevent pimples, and wouldn't remove even the smallest trace of make up. It took me a long time to clue in on the fact that nothing was going on with this cleanser--by the time I did, my face was pretty much wrecked for a month.

I haven't been disappointed with Aveeno before...but this cleanser is really useless.

this cleanser is my favorite. I have combination-oily skin but sometimes i have dry spots, and the creaminess (and exfoliating beads) of this cleanser works well. I don't really use it that often, because my skins more oily, but you can use this if you have oily skin, because it is oil free, but i would recommend for a drier skin type.

Used this at night, the foaming cleanser in the morning, the first month my skin looked great and seemed to be clearing up, then I started getting red dry flaky patches on my face, and I stopped using it and my face went back to normal. I've never had sensitive skin so Im not sure what caused it...

Was not up to the standards the product promised me. Didn't really clear up my complexion and also left my skin dry, flaky, and red on the cheeks. Overall, not recommended for combination skin. Will not buy again.

I expected good things from this cleanser because other Aveeno products I have used were pretty good.

This cleanser did nothing to my skin except make it worse - I bought this cleanser after I started breaking out because I just moved and my skin was trying to adapt to the new environment. And since I've been using it, my skin has just gotten progressively worse and the breakouts didn't stop. Yes it smells nice but that's about it. It didn't leave my skin feeling exceptionally soft or clear it up. I'm going back to Biore, sorry Aveeno!

Just to start with/for reference: I ALWAYS take my make up off before washing my face. I have dry, sensitive acne prone skin and most acne washes dry me out even more, or irritate my skin. I have tried so many products. Murad acne wash was my HG for a while, but it too was drying me out a lot. I decided to try something new and saw this product by Aveeno at the d/s, and took a chance. I LOVE this stuff. I have been using it for some weeks now. It does not irritate my skin in the least, does not dry it out or leave a residue....and leaves it smooth and silky, and exfoliates too. I can't believe I found this at the drugstore after years of looking at much more expensive products. I follow it up with my usual moisturizer and my skin feels great. I am a happy girl and I will be re-buying for sure. I honestly can not figure out the low ratings posted for this previously as this now has HG status for me. I can only assume that they may have reformulated it recently, because the bottle/tube says it is "new" ?? BTW The packaging is excellent as well!

Compared to some cleansers I've used in the recent past, this was pretty good at removing makeup--few or no traces left on the cotton ball if I followed it with toner. Nice, subtle scent and creamy texture, except for the little beads that seemed to me to be unnecessary and kind of gimmicky. I liked that it is packaged in a tube, resulting in less waste than with pump bottles.

I should probably start out the review saying that I always remove my makeup before cleansing. Also, this isn't a cream cleanser, it has beads in it. The cleanser is a creamy white color, with little green scrubbing beads scattered throughout it. It is not packed with beads, like the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, but the beads dissolve unlike the St. Ives scrub. This is also somewhat moisturizing, so this would be an excellent choice for dry skin. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone, and normal cheeks. The consistensy of this cleanser is pretty thin, and a bit runny. It has never left a film on my face, and I feel clean once I've rinsed it off. Not super duper squeaky clean, where you've been stripped of moisture, but just clean. It's a nice feeling. The beads are super gentle, great for daily exfoliation. But if you want some serious exfoliation, just buy any exfoliator/scrub. I've been using this for 6 months, and this hasn't broken me out. I like the fact that is has 2% salicylic acid in it, and it helps to clear pimples up faster. This really works well on my skin, and I look forward to washing my face when using this! Definitely would buy it again.

I have tried every single cleanser at Walgreens, but this one is my absolute favorite!! I don't understand why people give it such bad ratings, I LIVE on this cleanser and I can't use anything else. Every other acne cleanser makes my skin dry and tight..but this one leaves my skin clean, soft and supple. I have been using this for maybe 8 months now, and I have not broken out. This gets rid of all my makeup, you just have to use a good amount and scrub it for about 40 seconds. I have this at my bf's house, my parent's house and my house because I just can't live without it!!

I use this twice a day and it has made the non-acne areas of my face much clearer. But in terms of preventing and getting rid of zits, the cleanser hasn't helped much in that department. Otherwise, the cleanser is gentle on my face (in comparison to St. Ives) and I like that I'm using something that isn't crazy aggressive since I already put so many other creams and chemicals on my face for the acne. All in all, it keeps my face smooth but doesn't prevent the acne. I'm still searching for other cleansers but in the meantime, I would buy this again.

This product has very nice creamy texture, with tiny spherical beads that helps exfoliate the dead skin cells. With that said, I really want to love this, but I don't. It doesn't do anything for me, except making my skin softer, but so does any other scrubs. It doesn't break me out or irritate my skin like it did some other reviewers, but it didn't clear my acne either. So now it just sits in my bathroom and do nothing.

i had 2 large pimples on my forehead and they really bothered me so i ran out to a drug store looking for my neutrogena anti stress power clear scrub but found that this product was on sale. since it was on sale i decided to just try it out .. but i just wanna say i hate this. 2 pimples then turned into 5 the next day and after a week i had 15 to deal with. this is the first time i have ever broken out from a product and its a real bummer. and when i first used this i actually liked it because even though it has beads for exfoliation, it still left my skin really soft. but since i broke out so much, i'm never gonna use it again.
