I love this stuff, just finished my second pot of it. Need more!
I personally love the scent. I use this mainly as a body lotion. I don't like to use it on my hands because it's a bit oily (which I like on my body), and my hands leave fingerprints everywhere. It's very moisturizing :)
My legs feel sooooo smooth when I put this on after a shower. I don't know how that person a couple reviews before me went through this in 2 weeks. Are you kidding? Were you using baseball-sized amounts? I find this sinks in and keeps my moisturized, especially right after a shower, and I don't need to use too much. A pot lasts me about 2-3 months.
I also like that it's pretty much donating $20 to charity and getting a pot of lotion.
Only downside: I don't like the pot. I've left this open on my bath tub ledge and spilled half the pot before. Not pretty, and such a waste. If you like the smell and don't mind lotions a bit on the oily side, get it!

I've used Lush's Charity Pot lotion for almost 2 years now. I have very dry, eczema prone skin. The cocoa butter and oil blends in this lotion really sooth my skin. The lotion is creamy, but not overly thick and absorbs into the skin very well. The cocoa butter scent dies down within minutes of application.
Overall, if you don't mind spending a little extra, this lotion is great for those with dry skin who want to try something with more natural ingredients.

I like this product. I've just purchased it and i am really satisfied with it. i'm not sure whether my review is too early or not, but as far as i'm concerned, using it for a week and a half has been great.
First of all, i love the packaging. i don't actually care what other people say about 'germs' and dipping one's finger in a jar- germs exist everywhere, in the air, in water, on your clothes, makeup products, etc. you just need a normally functioning immune system in order not to get affected, you know. i don't like pumps because they would definitely spoil this idyllic pot. and i also like that they named it so, 'pot'. really cute and funny. i like that the lid screws on so the cap doesn't go off even during the nastiest trips with challenged luggage handlers. but i'm digressing.
what stroke me was the scent. i don't understand how some people can't like it. it's not overbearing at all, it's amazingly delicious and light, it doesn't reek like most of the body shop creams and lotions do, for example. it does indeed smell like chocolate, orange blossom and sea breeze. i love it.
the consistency is lighter than the dream cream one, for a little comparison, and it absorbs very quickly. it leaves my skin soft, plump and moist for at least several hours.
i am using this on my face as well and i like it a lot. i will continue purchasing (being the proud owner of karma and dream cream as well) lush's lotions because i like them all and i also like experimenting. but this is definitely a very good product. took off one lippie because i can't yet deliberate on the lotion's HG potential.

I received a large sample of Charity Pot with my recent LUSH UK order.
This is a really moisturizing formula. I used it on my dry legs and arms and they felt amazing afterwards. There was a bit of a greasy film but it soaked in within 15 mins. I would buy this in a heartbeat of only...
IT SMELLED BETTER. Peeeeeuw. Yuck. It started to give me a headache. I find this scent very offensive and strong. If this lotion was waaaaay lighter in scent I might find it tolerable. I tossed the rest of the sample immediately!! Really unfortunate as I like this formula!

I love this product! I only have a sample size unfortunately but i've been saving it only for the moments i need extra moisture! It's creamy and absorbs into my skin quickly and that's a plus for me. Also, it seems as though I'm the only one on here who thinks this lotion smells like chocolate and oranges! Either way, it smells great. Definitely purchasing a full size tub!

the smell = awesome. I am a hugeee fan of LUSH everything. however the pot was SMALL(for 20 bucks holy sh** it was gone in 2 weeks!), I have never tried their bottled lotions. i think i will stick to body butters from now on.

This was a complete waste of money, even if portions go to a charity. This lotion was not outstanding in any way. It was below average. It smells horrible and I won't dare wear it if I am going out of the house. The amount you get doesn't last long either. I can count on two hands how many times I've used it and the container is almost empty. I don't think I'll use LUSH lotions anymore.

I got an entire tub of this as an extra from a lovely swapper!! I can't be more thrilled. It smells OK, kinda plain, but that's no biggie. I love the consistency of it. It's very lightweight yet very moisturizing at the same time. I think I would buy this one myself when I run out, just to be able to donate to a worthy cause. The one I have went to the Odd Squad. Which is something I would probably donate to myself if I hadn't received it as an extra. All in all, it's great stuff :)

OMG the smell of this is overbearing, it lasts all day long but it's just too strong. After a day of work my coworkers can still smell this off of my from a mile away, no joke. It would be nice if I liked the scent but I think it's only mediocre. I got this in the LUSH charity gift set so no complaint on the price. I hate the fact that this comes in a jar, I hate dipping my fingers into this.

I personally looooooooooveeeeeee the scent of this lotion. It is amazing. I enjoy using this one after i take a shower. It is not sticky and it absorbes by the skin pretty quickly. I do not think it is to moisturize super dry skin. But it is nice. Would repurchase again if i have the cash.

its a light floral. At first it smelled like a sweet beer like scent to me, after the dry down (and greasiness) wore off, it was a light floral, and I could smell a bit of the sweet scent of the Ylang Ylang and Jasmine. I do kind of get how people get a Honeysuckle like scent from this though.
I like that proceeds are donated to different charities by LUSH though.

I love the scent. It smells just like the old Body Shop Cocoa butter lotion before they reformulated to the stink that it became. Floral, cocoa butter that's not too sweet and leaves enough scent that when I use it at night I wake up to it, but no so heavy that if I put of perfume after applying I lose the scent of the perfume.
It's *almost* runny, but not quite, and sinks in easily without being greasy (which, frankly, most LUSH products are prone to) and I use less of it than I expect every time.
100% of the proceeds go to charities. Cant argue with that.
Of their body lotions:
Sympathy For the Skin has the best and lightest scent and overall moisture
Dream Cream is the best for soothing really tight and abused skin, but smells like calamine lotion
Charity Pot has the most fabulous scent, but is not as versatile as SftS or as healing as DC, but it's the best overall lotion-y lotion.
I will purchase again for it's practicality as a body cream.

I like the texture of this bodylotion. It's very light, but not watery and it sinks in quickly. It's a sweet floral scent. It's not bad at all, but I'm not really into flowery fragrances and I don't think I'll repurchase.
Don't forget: if you buy a pot, the money will go to a good cause. This might justify the hight price a little bit.

I bought this product on a whim- I wanted to try a lush moisturiser and I chose this one because I thought it was good that the money went to charity.
I was surprised to find the lotion quite runny but a little went a long way and had a good texture. Really not sure about the smell though sometimes I think it smells a bit like pee (??)
I think its a good day to day light moisturiser but as I've find out its not that effective on really dry skin like on my hands. Think I'll stick to Neutrogena for that.

The smell was a big disappointment. I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet, but it smells.... like lotion. It has a generic scent that drugstore lotions typically have. Luckily after I put it on the flowery-ness goes away and it's a very very light cocoa butter/almond scent, and even that is barely noticeable. I really love the moisturizing qualities of this lotion though. Not greasy, goes on easily, and skin stays moisturized all day.
If you don't like the strong, crazy scents of Lush products, you may enjoy this lotion. But if you buy Lush partly because of the unique scents, you'll be disappointed. I'm unsure as to whether I'd buy it again. I might, if only to have a fabulous lotion with no scent.
And kudos to Lush for being able to offer a product where 100% goes to charity!

Another pile of crap from Lush, I don't know why I bother.
This is a tub of sloppy stuff that smells like brylcreem and does nothing for my hands. I tried smitten and it felt like lard, so I won't be trying ANY of their stuff again!!

I love LUSH and I'm always eager to try new things there that I haven't tried before. I'm also a moisturizer whore. So when I saw this, I got extremely excited. Let me tell you--I love this stuff!!
Big bonuses:
100% of the proceeds go to worthy causes!
I didn't find the scent too strong, though my husband did. I def. smell the almond oil.
Nice and thick--and doesn't wear off your hands too fast, if you use it as hand lotion.

I'm a sucker for moisturizers, so when I saw that all the proceeds from the sale of one of these went towards various charities I thought I'd indulge myself once more. Charity Pot has a very strong yet attractive scent. I would agree that it does smell a little masculine, but I like that. I think that the lotion mostly smells like Ylang-Ylang and almond oil- both smells of which I can't get enough of. The lotion itself is smooth and more slippery than Dream Cream if that description makes any sense. Like I said, the scent is strong so it basically doubles as perfume. If you do apply perfume, the lotion really competes with the additional fragrance. As for the moisturizing properties, they are amazing. My skin is silky after only a couple of day's wear but forget trying to get dressed immedeately after applying it! Like Dream Cream, it takes a really long time for this to sink in, and when it does, you still feel a little clammy. I prefer to apply this at night and then waking up to amazing skin. Anyway, it goes towards a good cause and if you don't mind the stickiness this is a great moisturizer.

I purchased a full-size of this hand cream for the gargantuan price of $19.95. Now, don't get me wrong, I like giving to charity (100% of the profits from this product go to TreePeople.org), but $20 for lotion is really expensive! However, the scent is divine (it's a tad bit masculine, but I still like it!) and the cream is really moisturizing and not greasy after it sinks in. I dislike most LUSH packaging as I find it impractical, and this is no exception, the black jar is ugh. I like this cream a lot, but it's too expensive for my super-tight beauty budget. Sorry, TreePeople. :-(
