I have oily skin and this is great to brush all over after applying my tinted moisturizer and for brushing on my eyelids to help keep my eyeliner in place. I have #401, doesn't really show after putting on except adding a little sparkle. It is quite expensive ($13) so I would never buy it (this is my mom's, and she forgets to use it so gave it to me) just for that reason.

I bought this powder because I was in a long search for a good loose powder and this one seemed to get great reviews. The powder is nothing special, just a translucent powder that does what every other powder does. If it wasnt for the price I probably wouldnt have had a probelm with. BUT... if you check the price you're paying $15 for 4.5 grams of powder. I bought the very popular NARS Loose Powder in Beach, which is a much better powder than this (not even comparable). and for $42 CND I got 45 grams of powder!!! If you do the math, the NARS powder is SOOOOOOOOO MUCH cheaper and wayyyyyy better quality. So treat yourself for something really good that is really economical. Yes it sounds like alot when you want to pay but consider going through 10 L'Oreal powders ($150!!!!) with paying for the same amount of powder from NARS for $42. Enough said.
(I've returned the L'Oreal powder back where it came from) Read my review for NARS if you want to know about it.

I have really oily skin, especially in warmer weather and this just didn't do anything for me. It controlled shine for about 10 minutes after I put it on in the morning and then it was back to being shiny. It does look very natural and gives your skin a smoother look. The packaging was a bit annoying. I kept spilling powder when I first started using it. Perhaps I'll try it again during the winter months when my skin is less oily.

I historically have not used powder. I got this product because my skin is too shiny after I apply my sunscreen, so I thought I would give powder a try. I love it! It doesn't look chalky or cakey. It's barely noticeable except that my face looks less shiny and airbrushed. I docked one lippie because the brush in lid packaging is awful! The brush is too small to be useful, and it makes the container too bulky.

Keep in mind that I'm a mineral m/u virgin so I may not know what I'm talking about!
I have been breaking out lately, so I thought I would try mineral makeup to see if it would help diminish my acne. I didn't want to drive all the way to Sephora (after paying for gas I probably wouldn't be able to afford anything there anyway!) so I drove up to the local Walgreens.
I'm pretty impressed with it! It doesn't cover my red spots completely, but it does tone them down. I also feel like there's a slight airbrushed quality to my skin. Once my skin clears, I can tell this is going to be a go-to product for me. Although not a mineral foundation, I think I will use it in place of my usual foundation, especially as summer is just around the corner (I hope anyway!) and I hate wearing foundation in the hot weather.
So, overall I'm pretty impressed. It's a little expensive for a drugstore brand, but still cheaper than a trip to Sephora would be for me! And after reading some reviews, I'm going to try using a different brush to see if that makes it even better!

While on the expensive side of drug store products, this powder works really well. I often have tiny flakes of dry skin around the edges of my face, and many powders catch on these and make them look worse. This powder blends evenly into my skin without highlighting the dry patches. It also looks fresh after a whole day of running around and getting slightly sweaty. While it's not a wonder product (you can still see some imperfections and redness), it does a great job setting my foundation (EL Double Wear Light) and evening out my skin tone without looking overdone. I will definitely buy this over pricier department store products.
PS While the packaging is kind of awkward, I haven't had problems using the included brush. Just make sure you open it over a sink or something similar because bits of powder can spill out when you open it.

I am on my 2nd container of this, I adore it. I of course use my own brush since the one it comes with is not *that* great. I use this over my foundation to give a finished look. Some days when my skin is cooperating all I have to do is brush this on to ease oils and I'm done. It has the best feel of any loose powder I've tried and never looks or feels chalky. Love it!

I purchased this based on the excellent reviews. Meijer had a B1G1F sale on L'Oreal a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd try it out without paying the regular price. I like this so much better than BE Mineral Veil, which I found to be chalky. This gives you a glowing skin effect and an almost airbrushed look- but it's natural looking, too. I got the translucent shade- and you only need a small shake on your brush. I use my own brush, which I think works better than the one that it comes with.

This is my favorite mineral finishing powder so far. It really works to finish off my foundation. I also love the fact that it isn't overly expensive. I know the packaging isn't great, but I don't take it with me so it doesn't bother me. I like that the brush is built in because I can just toss it when I'm done and not worry about cleaning it all the time. I was really surprised that L'Oreal came up with such a good product. I know that mineral purists would say that it's not 100 percent natural, but I just like how it makes my face look.

Amazing! A little goes a long with with this. It makes your skin look poreless, and matte. Perfect!

I really, really love this. I have used Bare Minerals Mineral Veil and loved it, but like so many others, wanted to find something similar for less. Then I tried Physician's Formula Matte Finishing Veil, and thought I liked it until I tried this. PF is so much chalkier and cheap-ish. This stuff is much closer to BE. Will definately repurchase.

I like that this definitely cuts the shine throughout the day and it doesn't have color which is a plus. It looks very natural. I use it on top of my Revlon Colorstay foundation or Ultima II foundation. I am not real crazy about the packaging because it is very bulky. However, I kind of like the brush that comes with it because I do not have to search in my purse or makeup bag for another. I have one for work, home and just in case. I will probably repurchase unless something better comes along!

My feelings about this product are mixed- the product itself, a very finely-milled, translucent mineral finishing powder, did just what I wanted it to and gave my face a very elegant, "finished" appearance and cut the shine. It seemed to last throughout the afternoon as well (I put it on around 1 PM and took it off at 8). I was worried at first that "Translucent" would be too lightly colored but in the end it was perfect. I do feel that the packaging leaves something to be desired. I like that the brush is built-in, because then you don't have to carry it around separately, but it gives the packing as a whole a large ungainly appearance- would it be impossible to have a retractable kabuki built into the container so it could be flatter? Who knows, but the product is well worth buying. It's a very good, simple powder that I wear over bare skin just touched with concealer. On the whole, very pleased.

This is definitely worth buying.
I have very oily skin and really need a finishing powder, but I also wanted something translucent because I've found a foundation that is the exact shade of my skin (the Bare Naturale foundation). I had been using Jane's oil-free finishing powder, but I was almost out of it and wanted to try something different because it looked very powdery on my skin. I loved the Bare Naturale line's foundation and concealer, so I splurged and bought the blush, glow, and finishing powder. This is my favorite out of the three. It makes your skin look absolutely flawless. Radiant, ethereal, and airbrushed come to mind. It really does look like you're glowing, but not so much that you look shiny. Trust me, because I have oily skin I avoid anything shiny like the plague, and this is 'gently glowy' and mattifies. Some people are complaining about the packaging, but I love all of the packaging from the Bare Naturale line. I don't have to dig around for a brush, as the one attached is very soft and seems to be of good quality. The plastic is thick and the cover snaps on tight and keeps the brush clean. It was a little expensive for a ds product ($13), but it really makes it look like you wear expensive makeup. I will buy again and again!

I love this as a powder over L'oreal's Line Minimizing foundation. I don't have actual wrinkles yet, but after a whole day most powders make smile lines after awhile. Not this one. I agree with the other reviewer who claaed this powder "ethereal". Very accurate description.

Great, great, great! Packaging sucks and price is kinda steep for a DS product - but we all know Loreal has always been one of the more expensive brands. At any rate, this gives a beautiful finish. And just like everybody else, I apply with my own brush. Love this stuff!

Wow, this a great mattifying veil! Looks light but really goes on translucent (I'm a C3) and works really well to just smooooth everything out and hide shine. The brush is nothing special (kinda awkward) so I just use another brush/kabuki. I would definitely rebuy this.

I love this! It finishes and sets my makeup, and takes away any shine that I have. It gives me an airbrushed look. I've only worn it with the other mineral makeup....I've never worn it by itself. I have noticed, though, if I put too much on, it makes my face look a little dry. Overall, I like it, and I would definately purchase again!

I'm impressed with this product and I'm a tough customer. For the first time ever, my nose wasn't shiny mid-day or even after work. It's everything other reviewers have stated and more. The packaging could be better but there's tons of product and if I ever run out, I will definitely repurchase.

I really like this & I think it does what it says: it gives a soft finish to your skin. I wear it over Laura Mercier Mineral Powder (which I prefer to the L'Oreal mmu, though it's not bad, just heavier on me) &, if my skin was better, I'd wear it alone. I've tried that & it looks good, gives a finished look to bare skin. The packaging isn't great, though. I could deal with the little attached brush (which is softer than the one on the mmu), but the underside of the brush isn't smooth, so when you shake powder out, it gets all up in the underside of the brush (hard to explain if you haven't seen it). But I'll deal with it (until they fix it, maybe, please L'Oreal?) because I like what is inside.
