On to my second bottle. This doesn't cause me to break out and gently removes all eye make up and most of my facial makeup. If you wear makeup and you want to remove it gently you will generally need to cleanse twice anyway, so this isn't a problem for me. Very happy to have found this product! Not too expensive and easy to find here in Sydney.

Love the natural ingredients and am a big fan of the Trilogy range, but this cleanser did not really work for me. I struggled to remove all traces of makeup with it - and ended up having to re-apply a layer in order to get my face feeling truly clean. The cream did leave my skin feeling quite soft, but it works out too time-consuming and expensive to have to cleanse then re-cleanse every time. I won't be repurchasing.

lovely cleanser! this is my first non foaming cleanser, i was pretty scared to try it, since i have oily, acne prone skin, before this i used a cleanser that was targeted specifically for my type of skin. The texture is quite nice as well, I was expecting a very thick cream texture, this reminds me slightly of a thin gel/cream texture, i have no problem with this, although I feel that because it is so thin I need more than I would actually require.

It gets all my makeup off with one pump (primer, foundation, bronzer) but eyemake is sort of difficult to remove, I need an extra pump for each eye!! this seems quite wasteful, considering I only use one pump when I'm not wearing eye makeup to cover the whole face. For refrence, my eyeliner & mascara that I use is not even water proof. I guess this could be fixed with makeup remover, I just expected the high amount of various natural oils in this cleanser to easily disolve my eye makeup without having to add more oil into the picture.

this is from the product description "Containing over 1/2 a bottle of our certified organic rosehip oil and other nutritious goodies such as evening primrose oil, jojoba, almond and carrot oil." I don't feel like it is leaving a film over my skin however. It does not leave skin "squeky clean" like my previous cleanser did, but I know it is still clean, I would describe the feeling as having a very light moisturiser that has just been absobred by your skin. I guess I prefer this feeling to having your face squeky clean, because its not stripping my skin of too much oil. Can't say I've noticed the diffrence in oilyness of my skin or acne, well actually acne has decreased but its probably of the mild retinol cream I am currently using. I bought this for 30AUD$ at QVB healthfoods, its cheaper than my old cleanser but i don't think it will last that long because of its creamy nature. I am in love with the light herbal/rosehip scent however, sometimes I just want to twist of the pump and smell it! I have a bit of a problem with getting every last bit out of the glass bottle, I've gone through three and I always seem to have lots stuck around walls that I can't get out, sinc ethe bottle is glass you cant squeeze it or cut it open, ive tried shaking it and scraping it out with the pump but there is always a good 20mls left in the bottle, thats my only problem with the cleanser

I wanted to try this cleanser for a long time and when I finally tried a sample of this I was disappointed. It is gentle, non-foaming and has a light herbal smell but it doesn't rinse off very easily or cleanly (using a washcloth to remove it is too irritating for me) and it's very expensive. I think there are similar or even better cleansers that are much cheaper.

This is what Trilogy says: "Containing over 1/2 a bottle of Trilogy's certified organic rosehip oil and other nutritious goodies such as evening primrose oil, jojoba, almond and carrot oil it softens and cares for skin whilst cleansing.
Formulated without harsh sulfates (they use orange blossom instead), it's the perfect preparation for your skin, morning and night."

Price: £20.50 for a 200 ml glass pump bottle

Ingredients: water, glycerin (vegetable), Rosa canina (rosehip) oil, Oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil, Buxus chinensis (jojoba) oil, Prunus dulcis (almond) oil, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera), wheat straw glycosides, cetearyl alcohol, Daucus carota sativa (carrot) oil, Aurantium dulcis (orange) flower oil, Pelargonium roseum (rose geranium) oil, Boswelia carterii (frankincense) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, citral, di-limonene, citronellol, geraniol, linalool, phenoxyethanol, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate.

[This is currently called "Cream Cleanser": but should be easy to distinguish, as Trilogy only do two cleansers. The other, Balancing Gel Cleanser, is for combination to oily skin: that is, to cope with drier patches but also oilier T- / A-zone.]

OK facial cleanser. No irritation. Smells gorrrrgeous (see ingredients at end of review for The Why). Feels nice, and very comforting to rub around one's face. Especially in the evening.

Just not great at actually cleaning the face properly - and I'm only cleaning off daily grime and a lightweight sunscreen, not even proper makeup. It doesn't actually feel like it's clogging, but there's too much left on my skin for my liking. And plenty of other cream cleansers produce exactly the same effect, for a lot less money. So far, the only creamier cleanser I've been happy with is Avene's Extremely Gentle Cleanser, which has the advantage of being no-rinse. Though you can of course rinse it too, if you prefer.

EUR 27.00 for 200 ml. Seems expensive, but one uses little, and it works out cheaper than what I was using previously - for a similar effect - the much more fluid Weleda Almond Cleanser. Also cheaper than most of the other "green" cleansers in health food stores and the like. Similar or lesser price (taking into account its concentration) than department-store or higher-end-drugstore cleansers.

All the Trilogy products are beautifully packaged: brown glass bottles or PET, cream labels on matte plasticky paper (except the PET, obv), with printing in a deep brown and rosewood colour in a nicely rounded sans-serif font. Minimal, but not black-and-white.

Produced in New Zealand, and a very laudable company in terms of good ethics and greenness: no animal involvement, organic, fair trade (with a co-operative in Lesotho), products are shipped not flown, and, indeed, Trilogy's fully carbon neutral. Also, a better preservation system than many used by other "green" companies (ex. Weleda...).

In a brown glass bottle with pump: if you don't like it, decant it into a plastic one (and move the label over too - purely psychological and aesthetic, but makes it all more convincing).

INGREDIENTS: water, vegetable glycerin, rosehip seed oil, glycerol stearate, evening primrose oil, jojoba seed oil, sweet almond oil, aloe vera leaf extract, cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl wheat straw glycosides, carrot root extract, tocopheryl acetate, chamomile flower oil, orange flower oil, perfume*, phenoxyethanol (&) ethylhexyl-glycerin, citral, geraniol*, citronellol*, limonene*, linalool*.

*Components of essential oils of lavender flower, stem geranium leaf, and frankincense bark. Contains iodine.

Smells amazing, beautiful packaging. Effective deep cleanser? Not so much. Well not without a hot cloth and a whole lot of tugging at your face. If you are looking for an oil-based cleanser to remove waterproof sunscreen and make-up, I highly recommend Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (I'm on my fourth bottle). I have very sensitive skin and it has never broken me out. It also does what an oil based cleanser should - it lifts all the impurities from your skin and then rinses off cleanly. HG. I buy mine from bobodave.com.

In the beginning, I was hesitated to use this cleanser because of its creamy texture which I thought could not thoroughly cleanse my face or it would make my combination skin oilier. I was just used to foam. But I am wrong. This cleanser is very gentle, but yet it can clean all the dirt and oil from your without drying nor leaving my face greasy. Instead, I think it just add back moisture to my face. Due to its creamy texture, I can also use it to do some message on my face before rinsing it off, and I just feel like having a facial. I just enjoy using this heavenly scented cleanser very much and I highly recommend it.

I was a little unsure when first trying this as I have combo skin, and rosehip oil products tend to be pretty rich, so purchased the Triolgy Travellers kit - cleansing cream, toner, energising face lotion and a body lotion (NZ$60.00). My skin is all the better for it! I had developed lots of little bumps all over my forehead (which I blame a Dermalogica cleanser and Oil of Olay for), Trilogy has cleared them up within a matter of days. The cleanser is great, I use a washcloth to remove it - leaves skin feeling clean and not greasy at all - truly does give your skin a real glow - highly recommed this product

I have been using this cleansing cream for about a year now and since using it, I have never once been tempted to try another cleanser! After years of using foaming cleansers to try and combat the oiliness of my skin, I decided to try a more gentle approach to cleansing. By not stripping my skin of all oil and moisture, this cleanser has helped to normalise my complexion and (I believe) prevent break-outs. After wetting my face, I thoroughly massage it into my skin for a couple of minutes and then remove it with a flannel and warm water. It is very good at removing makeup too - even from the delicate eye area. I use this cleanser in tandem with the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream and I love the positive results that I see in my skin. I also like not having to worry about nasty ingredients, as Trilogy uses all-natural oils and herbal extracts in their products. I highly recommend this cleanser!

I LOVE this cleansing cream. The smell is divine. When you massage it into your skin, it feels heavenly. It's ike giving your face a daily spa treat. I love the pump bottle, but you don't need a full pump of the cleanser, 1/2 a pump will do.

I wish the bottle was plastic instead of glass, as glass is such a pain to travel with. Also, I wish the pump had a lock. You have to press down to lsck and twist. I make sure that I wash my face when I lock it for travel...otherwise what a waste of such a beautiful product.

Fantastic cream cleanser that smells heavenly and leaves my skin soft as a baby's bottom. Like the previous reviewer stated, it definitely is for dry skin (which I have). It leaves a very slight oil film on my skin, which I love. It's not greasy, just perfect hydration. Will buy again!

I loved this product at first! I love the pump pack, and the price is ok for the amount you get. I have sensitive skin, so the all-natural, organic ingredients appealed to me.

It's a cream cleanser which you can rinse off. The texture is very nice, but quite oily. Def. for a dry/combo skin.
