I love this shampoo, it smells great, and I use it everyday in the summertime. It does a great job at keeping my roots non-oily, and does not dry the rest. Being in Canada, I don't need this during winter so I use only in summer.

I have very oily hair and with any other shampoo my roots start to get oily by the end of the day. With this shampoo I can go without washing my hair for a day and my roots don't get oily. It doesn't dry out my scalp either. I think after I run out I will buy the bigger bottle with the pump.

I used to use Thermasilk clarifying shampoo but then decided to try this. I have been using it for a few years now and it definitely cleans my hair without drying out. As far as my ends, I have very minimal split ends (can't really find them unless I look hard) but I believe that is more due to the fact that I haven't been using any heating tools since I last cut it. An excellent clarifying shampoo for cheap.

Cleanse and Mend Shampoo, hmm. I love Aussie products, and always switch with their shampoos and condtioners. I wanted to try this one because it claimed to cleanse and mend, which is what I needed for my damaged, oily hair. First of all, this shampoo smells absolutely delicious! :) Its not the coconutty smell like most of the other products from Aussie, its fruity. The shampoo lathers up excellently, and does a good job of cleaning. It also didn't break me out which is a plus. The only thing - it doesn't seem to mend anything. I don't know, just me? Anyways love this shampoo, but if your reading this, DONT GET THE CONDITIONER, its like water.

I have very very thick hair; but the strands are kind of a medium texture that is kind of rough. OK so the smell of this shampoo is AMAZING!!!! I like how it leaves my hair clean feeling but not dry, and I think it helps keep my hair moisturized and shiny. I always use either a Pantene or Aussie Three Minute Miracle Conditioner after this, so my hair is always soft.
Overall I really like this, but I give it four lippies because I don't notice anything special.

I purchased the bottle with the new design on the front. This shampoo's ingredients are quite different from the stuff in the previous packaging, so this review only applies to the "new" version. I looooove the smell of this shampoo, and it was easy to work into my hair, but the results were not so great. My hair felt drier than normal, but I do have color-treated hair so maybe this will work better on natural hair. I might keep using to finish up the bottle, but it will have to be in rotation with a moisturizing shampoo and won't be repurchasing.

Please note that the following review applies only to spring, summer, and the non-cold and windy part of fall here in Toronto: I've switched to TRESemme Moisture Rich shampoo for the cold season, as my scalp was getting a bit dry with Cleanse & Mend. The good about this shampoo: 99% of everything. It cleanses my hair wonderfully without stripping for daily washes, though if I skip a day I need clarifying shampoo. I only need conditioner once a week unless my hair is coloured or really long. Even with my hair dyed red, a colour notoriously prone to washing out, this shampoo doesn't remove colour. It cleared up a gross flaky patch on my scalp. It has a great scent, true orange with a bit of creaminess. It's cheap and easy to find. The bottle easily stores upside down when I'm running low and doesn't leak. The bad: The snap top is pretty hard to open - even with artificial nails I'm afraid of damaging them or my polish, so I have to open the bottle with my teeth, which occasionally leads to a bit of shampoo getting in my mouth - trust me, it doesn't taste as good as it smells!

I really like the smell and texture of this shampoo.
It keeps my hair shiny and smooth, but it really didn't do much for the split ends I develop from my daily heat styling.
Really good in the shine/softness department though.

I'm indifferent about this shampoo. When I read that it was for oily roots and dry ends, I thought this would fix my hair issue. It actually made my scalp break out a little when I first started using it. It does lather up well, and is decent for the price. I don't get a cheap feeling after using it. I just don't know if it cleans that well. I've switched back to Pantene and I feel like my hair doesn't feel as dirty as quickly.

This is a good (but not great) shampoo that leaves your hair soft and manageable for the rest of the day.
After spending way too much money on professional shampoo that just didn't do the trick, I decided to take a break from it all and purchase a dirt-cheap shampoo to save money. I was pleasantly surprised with Cleanse & Mend, and I've repurchased several times. Having said that, I still haven't found THE shampoo, and I'm still looking for something better. Cleanse & Mend, on rare occasion, leaves my hair feeling a little dry, so I'm less than fully satisfied with it. I recently heard some great things about Shiseido's Tsubaki shampoo, and I'll be trying that next (as soon as it arrives in the mail). But until then, I can say that Cleanse & Mend is probably the best non-professional shampoo I've tried yet.

I did not have good luck with this at all. After one use, my scalp was stinging like crazy, my color faded (!!!!) and I can feel the waxiness that other reviews have mentioned. The bottle was a pain to open too. This is going in the trash ASAP!

My search for a great shampoo continues..... this works okay, but Im not crazy about it. I really like the pump bottle, It smells pretty decent, but I probably wont buy this again, when I use the conditioner it really makes my hair flat and stringy, when you have curly hair this is not the results your looking for.

I'd been using a Giovanni shampoo for a few months, and my fine, straight, shoulder-length hair was looking and feeling a bit like straw. I switched to this Aussie shampoo, and after one use, my hair looks healthy and shiny again. It's soft and I'm not developing the little knots that drive me nuts. I'll definitely buy this again.

I love this product! I have used this for over a year and my hair hasn't tired of it. It leaves my roots clean and voluminous and my ends in good condition even in the summer when I'm at the beach or in pool a lot. I have several Aussie shampoos and conditioners that I switch around depending on whether I'm at home or at college (my water is hard at school and I have iron water at home) and I love them all. They're styling products are great too.

I was getting breakouts on my scalp and tried several products which only seemed to make the problem worse. This product seemed to lessen the breakouts. It doesn't volumize your hair, make it shine, or anything fancy, but it does a good job cleaning your hair and scalp.

Just started using this shampoo this week. It is just okay in my opinion. It cleans okay...but doesn't do anything marvelous...but also doesn't leave any funky residue behind from what I've experienced so far. The smell is okay...it isn't bad...but it's no wonderful smell that lingers all day. My biggest complaint about this product, though, was the bottle. My lid snaps on so tight that I can't get it open half the time. If I'm in the shower & my hands are already wet...I can't open it for the life of me. I usually have to reach out of the shower & grab a towel to open it with. I may have just got a dud bottle, but that's been my experience so far. A just OK shampoo with a bothersome lid! But, if in a jam, I would probably buy it again, just because it does an okay job & it was very cheap. (And can I just add that I just noticed this is my first review in 4 years?! Jeepers! I read MUA all the time...can't believe it's been that long since a review...I'm gonna start catching up!)

LOVED the orange smell and the texture!
It makes my hair shiny, soft and sooo perfumed!!
Buti, if your hair is very dry maybe this shampoo
is not a good option for you.
Works wonders with the Deeep! Conditioner for my long, dyed and wavy hair!

At first, it worked absolute *wonders*! My hair was really soft, wasn't oily, and had absolutely no flyaways. But about two weeks later, my hair became limp and lifeless. The conditioner is really runny and weighs my hair down.
For some it works, but my fine hair needs a *lot* more of a boost than this product can provide.
I'd give it 2 and a half lippies, though, just because the shampoo foams up like crazy, and it smells sooooo good! MAJOR plus- the shampoo made my normally "oily the morning after washing" hair feel soooo clean, I didn't need to wash it for about two days, and I probably could have gone longer if I wanted to!
And I don't know why everyone is all hung up over the packaging- it isn't the best, but it's not completely terrible.

Pro's about this shampoo:
1. The larger sized bottles come with a pump dispenser. Great for controlling how much product comes out without waste.
2. It does have a really good scent to it.
3. It's CHEAP!
Con: I have medium long hair. It's very frizzy, wavy & thinning as the years go by (although I have LOT'S of hair!). This product did nothing to "mend" my hair whatsoever.
I have to agree with the reviews that have said they noticed that after use it tended to leave hair in a worse condition than previous to using the cleanse & mend shampoo. My hair did feel drier & definitely frizz was more of an issue the more that I continued to try/use this product. Other than the nice scent this product has & the way reasonable price tag, it was a "MUST MISS" for this gal and her hair. :-( Sorry folks!
