I love this moisturizer. It is not greasy nor did it clog my pores or break me out (and I tend to have acne prone skin). It is a pretty basic moisturizer, though. No magic behind it or anything. There is no smell to it either. I think this would be best for someone with combo or dry skin.

My HG. light but moisturize great. absorbs immediately.love the bottle because the hole the lotion comes out has the right size. the smell is sooo great...yogurt. spf15 is very nice and for summer a light lotion is always good. i have dry to combo skin and this lotion is perfekt for my. when my skin fells itchy for example after a shower i love to use this lotion and everything is ok. doesnt brake me out but doesnt make super clear skin. for acne prone skin or very oily skin the lotion is not super because after a hour the skin is a little bit shiny. i like that really much. i think the skin glows. i think nothing is bad on this moisturizer for me. everything is perfect. will definitely buy thsis lotion again. maybe will use it for the rest of my life.

Based on these reviews, it seems like this product doesn't work on anyone's skin. My skin is dry, and I didn't get any "ultra" moisture from this - either in the way my skin felt or the way it looked. Plus, now I think that a 15 spf just isn't enough. Disappointed, because I really want to like Kiehl's - like their ethos and packaging, but haven't really liked most of their products.

I love this facial moisturizer - its light and absorbs into the skin very well though you dont need a lot. It's enough for my dry skin but doesnt leave my skin feeling greasy. Plus it has spf 15 which you should be wearing daily anyway!
A small bottle runs about 14.00 or you can get the big kahuna for like 48! (you'll never get thru the big bottle - thats for salons or professionals) The small bottle really should last you awhile since you dont need very much of the product at all.

Goodness! i just wanted a regular moisturizer that contained some form of spf and was moisturizing enough to get rid of my dry skin (from medication) and indeed, i got just that and more! bleh. I used this for about a week and ended up getting small red pimples near my brow/eye area, and i never get break out there! not only did it make my skin worse, it also made my skin super greasy in the daytime (i wore makeup over it). Like i-need-to-blot-3-times-a-day greasy. ick! i'm going to try again, but most likely will return.
EDIT: i found a much better spf: Oil of Olay Complete spf 15 5 bucks and doesnt bring out the oilies!

I love the plain packaging, but it's too heavy for me, I prefer sth lighter. I won't buy it again.

I used this one as a am cream for winter and spring. It made my skin feel good but not as good as the one without spf. The spf 15 is definitely not enough for me in summer, I've to apply another layer of sunscreen and the combination of these two made my face very very oily. So I gave up using it in summer and mightbe finish the left bottle this coming fall and winter.Oops,,,almost forgot to mention, this one really lasts long. I've got combination skin and half of the smallest bottle lasted me the whole winter and spring. Worth the money.

My HG. I love how light it is, and it blends so easily with anything else. I just wish they would up the SPF to 30.

I have a bone to pick with this product regarding the spf. The chemical sunscreens that are used in this product barely filter out the UVA - the rays responsible for aging!!!! Also the product is very expensive and was a way thinner consistency than the original ultrafacial. I switched to Alba Botanical daily moisterizer spf 15. It has extensive blockage of UVA & makes my norm/dry skin feel silky. Don't bend over for this Kiehls product. They should be embarassed selling it and mislabeling this product at such an expensive price!!!!!

I use this as my spring and fall moisturizer, as I find it too heavy for summer and not heavy enough for winter. But for those in-between months, it works great. Absorbs quickly and doesn't cause breakouts -- it does leave my nose a little shiny sometimes, but nothing too bad. I've had my 4 ounce bottle for about a year and there's still about 1/3 of the bottle left. I'll probably buy another bottle when I run out, unless I find another SPF moisturizer that I like better.

I bought this when I wanted to switch my skincare regime. After a lot of hype about Kiehl's I decided I'd try it. On the advice of the SA, I tried this moisturiser, the non-detergent foaming cleanser, the Calendula Toner and the Ultra Facial Moisturiser. (I have combo/oily skin.)
This moisturiser is horrible. Greasy and heavy are the two words that describe it best. I ended up with horrible huge under the skin spots so I returned all three Kiehl's products. As I've already said, I also really hate the packaging. Although, I know it's part of the Kiehl's image, it's just too clinical. I definately won't buy again.

This moisturizer burnt my sensitive skin upon application. It felt kind of like putting acid on my face. It left my skin very dry, flaky, and painful. I think I had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. I called my dermatologist to ask how to handle the reaction and the nurse told me to put a layer of Vaseline on my face. I followed those instructions and now my skin looks better than ever. I basically gave myself an unintended chemical peel that I would not repeat.

Was desperate for a day moisturiser with SPF and ordered this without testing. Turned out alright, although I'd prefer something oil-free. Agree with Shauna's review on its packaging...i end up squirting so much, I apply the excess on my arms. Not wise for an expensive product. May not repurchase.

First, it's impossible to get a small amount out of this lotion; I always end up having too much squirt out. Second, I LOVE the regular ULTRA lotion, but the SPF formula is NOTHING like it. I have sensitive, dry skin; the counter lady said this product wouldn't irritate my face (the non-SPF formula doesn't).
Actually, the lotion makes my face sting all over, it is not nearly moisturizing enough, and the smell is so funky that it makes my eyes water. I am thoroughly upset that I spent so much on the lotion, and that the Kiehl's counter wouldn't take this crap back after one use.
I personally wouldn't recommend this to anyone with sensitive or dry skin.

This is a fine moisturizer, especially under make up. My dry/combo skin feels very soft and my skin drinks the moisturizer. I've brought it from Germany, because they don't sell it in my country.

This product isn't as good as the regular ultra facial moisturizer. It tends to separate, so I'd recommend keeping it in a cool place away from the shower or bright bathroom lights. It can sometimes sting when put on a sensitive area, and it can be greasy when trying to put liquid foundation over it. I won't buy it again.

Am I the only person who finds this stuff *incredibly* greasy and heavy?!?! I have 44 year old combination skin with a few fine lines, and at first application,it felt like thick oil. So I waited for it to sink in...but it never did. UGH Oil slick!! I tried this 3 separate times, and I give up.
This is in my closet,I don't know what I am going to do with it. I don't even want to put it on my hands or feet (that's what I do to use up crappy face lotions).
I just want to forget I ever used this >>

i like this product very much. it is the perfect summer moisturizer, and a holy grail. the 2 oz bottle lasts a long time, and i love the plain kiehls packaging. i would buy this product again, but not until next summer, as i use a richer cream in the winter

I've combo skin with oily T zone. This is good but not great. It is light, moiturizing enough for summer, and has SPF. It does not give you shine. It is a basic day lotion, but does nothing beyond that.
