This is a very good product for the price. I really love the wand and the product goes on smooth with no flakies. I bought it in Expresso which is an okay color on my very pale lashes but I prefer a lighter brown, almost impossible to find.
Would I repurchase. No. I can only wear this mascara for two or three hours before my eyes start to itch and I have to remove it. This is the case with almost ALL mascaras except Almay for me, so I would recommend giving this a try. You won't get a lot of drama but it's a good everyday look if you don't have allergy issues.

I wanted to love this mascara. I'd heard nothing but good things. Sadly, that wasn't the case. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but the formula was very, very dry, which in turn made the mascara clumpy. The brush didn't bother me (I love big brushes). But no matter how many coats I tried to put on, the worse it got. I tried several different techniques over a course of a week and to no avail. Into the garbage it went. I'll just stick with my Maybelline Full n Soft and Clinique High Impact.

I absolutely love this mascara! I was unsure about ordering b/c the1st few products I bought from Avon weren't good, but I'm sooo glad I did. It's the sofest mascara I've ever used, it doesn't harden up on my lashes and look scary or fake. The only downer is that it's not available in black.

This is definetly not the best mascara I've used nor is it the worst. I have it in the espresso colour. I find this mascara is great for daytime wear as it really gives my lashes curl and the colour looks natural. It gives my lashes a feathery soft look. If you are looking for dark intense notice me lashes, I don't think this product will do it. It is probably one of the longest lasting mascara's I have. I wore it last weekend and it still stayed on my lashes and not under my eyes (no flakes or racoon eyes) and that was about 12 hours after I had put it on I would say this mascara is comparible to Cover Girl Professional mascara. The only thing I don't like about it as that it dries very quickly on my lashes and I have to put on 2 coats to really see any results. I still would prefer other mascaras to this for a dramatic effect.
CON: Dries out very quickly in the tube. Have to apply more than 1 coat to have any impact.
PRO: No clumping. I can apply 3-4 coats of this without clumping or flaking.

I do like this mascara. The good things about it for me were, it made my lashes longer, thicker, darker and it kept the curl. Makes your lashes look beautiful. The only reason I took away a lippie is because it seemed to dry out fast. But, I would buy this again. Good Stuff.

I sought this out because Paula Begoun (the Cosmetics Cop) likes Mark mascaras. She must have tried another one than this; I don't hate it but I don't see what's so special about it. It does darken my lashes but I don't get a dramatic effect. It has a soft finish, so I guess this would be nice for a no-makeup look. I'll finish the tube and see if I like it better (I've been using it for a week or so already) but I don't expect to be converted. If this were available in the drugstore I might buy it again, but being mail-order, it's not worth the wait and the shipping costs.
EDITED TO ADD: I do like this better after using it for longer. Other reviewers have said this mascara dried out a bit after using it a while; mine seems to have gotten wetter, so it coats my lashes better. So I like it better now; but I'm still not sure I'd buy it again because of having to order it. Maybe if I used a lot more Mark products on a regular basis ...

Layered over Shiseido base, this is totally a DiorShow dupe, even down to the flaking! Hehe, good thing that doesn't bother me so much. The wand is huge and the formula is THICK and a bit on the dryer side (as opposed to a super wet formula like Voluminous Carbon Black). This so totally looks and performs like my former HG DiorShow that I am amazingly pleased. More thickness than length (which I love) and its not as black/glossy as Voluminous Carbon Black or Px Lash Envy - but honestly I don't care! I am beyond impressed with performance and price of this bad boy. Try it out!!! It's good stuff. By the way, mark eyeshadows are great too (love Tiki and Java and definitely want to explore other colors...)
UPDATE: I may even love this more without the base. It works really well! I am so impressed. I love Make it Big!!

Incredible mascara. It's REALLY dark black, helps encourage curl, and very very smudge proof. It's the best non-waterproof mascara I've worn as far as smudging goes. I cried in it today and it didn't go anywhere. I even put it on my lower lashes which I never do as a rule because of smudging. Not with Make It Big! My lashes look amazing in this mascara. I will agree w/ the idea though that it gets better after it's been open a little while. Most mascaras do and this one definitely does. Be wary of the tip of the brush though, mascara tends to glob there, so wipe it before you apply or you might end up with a dollup of it on your nose while trying to get those inner lashes. Btw I get lengthening and volumizing from it.

I like this product a lot but I'm not in love. I really do like the big brush because I can get all the lashes with it and it picks up just the right amont of mascara. You don't need to blot this one on a tissue ladies it's perfect in that way and its not a runny mascara. I've had it on before and my eyes watered and not much happened. It doesn't seem to make the eyelashes as huge as it claims but I haven't seen one that does. It is very black and still makes the eyes pop when you wear enough of it.

This mascara is amaaaazing. But, I have to say it's only amazing after having opened it a few days. The first time you use it from being brand new it doesn't do it's magic the same until it's been used a few days.
I love this in "raven." It does a nice job of making my lashes thick, fluffy and long. I'm a sucker for the huuuge wand as well. It really grabs and plumps every little lash.
I do have to put a coat of waterproof mascara on top of this, though, because I have extremely sensitive/watery/allergy eyes. I usually do a top coat of Maybelline's Volum Express in waterproof, and it does a nice job of "setting" the Make It Big.
For $6, this mascara can't be beat! It reminds me of Benefit's Bad Gal lash... minus the price!

Rating: I for some odd reason, got brown which wasn't that great of a choice, but I liked it. Just made them apparent though, didn't really do an amazing job of lengthening or thickening.
Price: $8, ok. I'd pay $7, yet there is a lot of formula
Packaging: huge brush, I am a fan of mini brushes though...
I'd maybe buy it in black

one of my favorite mascaras of all time!!! i use it in raven (black). it competes with benefit bad gal and dior diorshow in terms of the brush and volumizing ability. plumps without clumps! will continue to use this mascara as long as it is sold.
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue
This is my HG mascara. I never have problems with clumping, flaking, etc. and it makes my lashes look gorgeous. I hope avon never discontinues this!!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Very Dry, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
i LOVE this mascara. i used to be hooked on mac fibre rich but i got this for about half the price. i LOVE the brush, i LOVE the texture and it really is plumping. try it, what do you have to lose???? :)

For the most part I enjoy and own a lot of mark products. Based on the reviews here I got a tube. Not impressed at all. I guess if you like enormous brushes this might thrill you but I did not get any particular benefit from the brush or the mascara. Back to my old reliable Full N' Soft.
EDITED: As this mascara has dried out, I find myself liking it better. I apply one coat and then go over it with another coat of Full N' Soft and I get a pretty good "false eyelashes" look.

Don't waste your money on Benefit Bad Girl Lash - buy this instead. I'm convinced it's the same product, same brush, different brand, vastly different price. I have multiple tubes in Raven and love this stuff dearly.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Very Oily, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
This mascara is amazing. I LOVE the brush- huge, fat, long with a gazillion bristles. I use a couple of coats, building until my lashes are long and thick and fluttery. :) One of the very best mascaras I've ever tried for volumizing and lengthening. The only complaint I have is that it seems to dry out really quickly- I've had my current tube for just 5 weeks, and it's pretty much done. But its super low price makes up for it. :)

I just used Make It Big mascara for the first time and I was so impressed with the results that I had to post my review. I had read the reviews on this mascara and knew about the huge brush in advance, but nothing could have prepared me for the gigantic fluffy mass that emerged from the tube. I stared at it in shock, then brought it towards my lashes. The mascara is a drier formula, which I like. Wet mascara makes my lashes spiky, and I hate that. After about 3 strokes, my lashes were enormous - it looked like I was wearing fake fringe. I am only a little worried that the dry formula might 1) become flaky during the day and end up in black specks on my face and 2) dry out in the tube after less than a month of use. But since I just put it on, I'll have to update on all of this. So far, the result is amazing.
I owned this mascara for a month and it dried out like mad. It was originally dry to begin with, but it turned to putty! It was super flaky and so dry in the tube so I couldn't use it anymore and tossed it.

I also bought this based on the glowing reviews. While it's not terrible, it doesn't thicken my lashes at all. At the very least, it makes my lashes look black. Nothing else.
The brush is massive. It does an ok job at separating my lashes, but why waste my time with this stuff when there are better mascaras out there?

I too bought this based on the glowing reviews but again I'm not impressed(seems to be my theme with Avon products). I hate the big fluffy brush but I could deal if the product was insanely good but this is just so-so. It gives a nice natural look but mascara smudged and flaked on me within 3 hours and I didn't do anything strenuous. I mistakenly ordered brown instead of black because of their goofy color scheme and the brown is more suited to a blonde cause it's not a dark brown. Overall sorry I spent the cash on a ho-hum product.
