I think this stink. It smell old granny scent. I don't know why. I try this on tester paper and i hate it, I don't understand why Givenchy would churn out this perfume. It may be love for some people but from what i see the review here, it may not be for most people. It's best to try on a paper than on yourself for this scent. I find it awlful.

There is just something about this fragrance which doesn't hit home with me. The fragrance can be cloying and unattractive.

Given the ingredients and the idea behind this fragrance, I always thought I would like it. Now I have a sample which today I used for the first time, I know I don't. Imo, it's cloyingly sweet and really un-sophisticated. It smells cheap and for very young girls, also there's no change is the smell after hours of having it on. At this point, I'm even getting annoyed when my wrist comes close to my nose, so I think I'm going to wash it off.

This is like a rich deep incencey vanilla and it would be nice except for the skank note in the base, what is that? im not sure but there is defenitely something in here that is kind of permeating the rest of the scent and almost ruining it for me. I waited so long to get a sample of this and now I can put my mind at ease that it is not a must-have for me. I imagine a 'light' version of this scent woud appeal more widely, lose that skank note and its a winner. I must say though that it doenst smell that sophisticated, it kinda smells a bit 'drugstore' to me. Dont know why.

I just don't get it??? I can't decided if I like this or not. I'm intrigued...I love the beginning definately summer flowing fresh scent of flowers from trees like lilacs (nice but predictable) then somewhere it becomes heavy like cinnamon rice pouding (wow where did you come from?).
Ok I don't know of the notes of this perfume but wow such confusion.
Either way I couldn't stop smelling this off my wrist.(Isn't that the goal...keep me or someone smelling :). Like I was waiting for it too change into something else. On the right body chemistry this is a wow factor for sure.
EDIT- NOT FOR ME- Headache infusing...beyond rice poudding sweet.

One word......Ick! Glad I received sample of this before swapping or purchasing! I really tried to like this one, but after 3 days of wearing I could no longer stomach it! I cannot put my finger on any of the notes here except sickly sweet old lady smell. I am sure I could find something similar for less than $10 at the dollar store not a high priced item as is. Disappointed, but I am not a big fan of Givenchy fragrances yet, still hopeful I will find at least one that I love one day ;) Two lippies because it does have amazing staying power even if tasteless.

I got this as a present from my boyfriend and I was so happy when I got it!
This parfume is definitely NOT for everyone. It's really heavy and I know that losts of people get sick while smelling it. :))) I know it's not funny, but it is a bit too me cause when I got the tester for the 1st time I knew that this one will be mine one day and it finally is!
Great minus for this parfume is the price of it. :( It's really TOO expensive, but on the other hand, only one spray is enough cause it's strong so it will last for a long time.
I don't wear it during the day, but it's perfect for nights!

I have to put up with this perfume on my friend almost everyday and I hate it. Being a fan of Escada/Demeter/Armani/Gucci, etc. I simply can't stand it. >_<
I can't think of any occasion where AouD could be appropriate. Well except for standing alone in a desert may be.
It's a very very strong perfume, but it has no particular gamma of scents - just smth. very pushy and too heavy.
Not a fan at all.

This review is for the Ange ou demon Diamond Dust SOLID PERFUME Diamantissime Editon. This is a solid perfume silver compact that comes with a separate black brush - very pretty set and great as a gift. When I put it on, the best of ange ou demon is captured and absolutely no sharpness remains. It smells luscious and a little watermelony but rich. The silver makes my skin look wet which is a really neat effect, and the silvery stuff stays until it's wiped off, as does the fragrance. I love love love this version if you can find it. I may buy a second one for backup as it is very limited. I just turned 49 and I have no problem wearing this anytime (well, not at work, maybe, no I would wear it at work....haha). Very very nice iteration of a classic fragrance. I do love solid perfumes! Try and check it out - it is really pretty both the case, the brush and the silver perfume!
UPDATE: Well, I caved and bought the gift set of the perfume - this incuded the actual perfume, the eau de parfum, body lotion and an even extra bonus, the body creme. I just love this perfume now. I went to see Carnival Diablo and I was just entranced by the Victorian and dark, otherworldly feel to it, and this scent embodies that dark, very sensual, deep, secretive and magical side. This is great for Wiccans or someone who wears a lot of black because this is a black scent, yet, it isn't an incense and has a side to it that is angelic - like you are angelic, you are trying to be a good girl, but that dark, sensual side attracts you. Sort of ignoring the good guys and going for the bad boys!

I got a sample of this and as soon I tore the sample open I was nauseous. I normally do not get nauseous from fragrances, but this is too much even for me. This is brutally in your face. Way to strong for someone to wear and really love. I threw it away and could still smell it in the bathroom just walking around. The packaging is not oringial and does not fit the scent. Very turned off by this scent.

This is an absolutely beautiful fragrance. Smells very mysterious. I can imagine a dark haired lady with pale skin wearing it. Somehow I think it suits that type of ladies more-gothic look style.
well, I do not look that way but I love intriguing , mysterious, sensual fragrances and this is definitely the one. One of the very few I have found so far to satisfy my needs. i love it and want to wear it every day, though it seems to be more appropriate for the night out. still, I love to wear it during the day and night!!!!!!. This will probably be my signature scent.

Sexy, dark and mysterious fragrance.
Smells like : honey, bergamot, vanilla bean and thick incense.
On me, it is a delicious blend of sweet and smokey.
It can be rather thick, so wear this lightly as you don't want to give those around you a head ache.
Otherwise, beautiful fragrance and I recommend you try it and see what it smells like on you.

This is my new favorite. I smelled it on a co-worker and fell in love with it. Every times she walked by, I got a whiff of the most beautiful fragrance. But, it wasn't over powering or strong at all. I ran out and bought it right away. I would say it is definitely more "angel" than "demon" but it has a slight edge to it so I think the name is perfect. It also has fantastic staying power. It lingers all day in a beautiful, subtle way.

Love it! smell soooo nice and love the bottle :)
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Cool Hair: Black, Curly, Coarse Eyes: Brown
I liked this when I first got it. It is a very grown up, classic fragrance. It last all day, is not too strong and I did recvive positive comments when wearing it. I like the bottle. The down part is after a while, the actual liquid becomes yellow tinged no matter how you store it (cool/dry place with no sunlight). The smell still stays the same, but not the color.

it s a nice fragrance but i find it similar to lancome hypnose.it is sweet and a bit synthetic.in europe it s very popular and very expensive.

I love this product too. It was being advertised all over the tv in Mexico so I stopped in the duty free to check it out and loved it and bought it. There are two things disappointing about this otherwise gorgeous frangrance and bottle. 1) the primatic top of the bottle doesn't stay on if I put it in my purse or bag. 2) Sometimes its seems the scent just doesn't linger enough for me (hence putting the whole giant bottle in my purse for touch ups - not exactly ideal).
When people have smelled this on me I get compliments, but by the time I get to work I can't smell it on me. And I like to so much. It reminds me of me: Angel and Demon (in a nice way!).

I guess I must like sharp florals because I love Ange ou Demon. The thyme gives it a very different opening, herbal and peppery. Then behind the green savory hot, is milky smooth woods. The body cream is greener and the EDP spray vis very good, I think it's got tonka or something in it I love!

At first whiff it cleared my nostrils, then it overstayed its welcome, I just couldn't wash it off. Ange ou démon? Démon Démon.

This is one of the few fragrances I'm quite sure I will repurchase whenever my bottles are empty.
Yes, bottles - I bought two of them duty free for a bargain price, thinking I would give one away as a gift - but I don't think that will happen.
This fall my body is obviously going through seasonal changes because of the decreasing in temperature outside, airconditioning inside, and humidity.
Every perfume I own seems to be absorbed into nothingness now, and I can't smell anything on my wrists half an hour after I initially spritzed.
Right now I can spritz at least six times, and still the fragrances disappears.
By the time I get to work - nobody can smell anything on me.
(I've checked with my co-workers.)
So, I turned to all my heavy orientals from Shalimar to Cinnabar, I tried on Chanel no 5 - which I usually hate and strangely it smelled nice for once (I usually ruin Chanel fragrances) - and I even bought the new Secret Obsession (which worked in southern Italy) but unbelievably nothing lasted no matter how much I applied.
And then I found Ange ou Demon sitting on the shelf - almost forgotten.
Too angelic for the period that i purchased it (spring) - but now a little demon snuggling around my body - sticking skin close during work, and then I reapply after.
Now it works, now it smells like it should - vanillacreamy with a hint of spice and a soft, citrucy twist. Topped with a dash of thyme.
Right now it is my HG - because of my chemistry, and it smells perfect for this season.
Thank you Givency - you have saved this season for me.
And of course I love the facetted crystal-prism bottle with the gradually black color.
Ingredients: White thyme, mandarin, saffron, orchid, ylang-ylang, lily, tonka bean, vanilla, palisander, oak moss.
