LOVE LOVE LOVE French Lime Blossom, I was originally attracted to try this one at Saks because of the Lime.. it was a hot day and I was craving something fresh and clean and springy something along the lines of Miller Harris' Citron Citron. Well FLB is better and more girly/feminine that Citron Citron but has all those other elements it smells fresh, clean, and when I wear this it seems like others want to get closer just to smell it. lasting power is also great on me which I know is a major gripe many have with the Malone Colognes. FBW for sure! I also agree that it can be layered easily ..I layered this yesterday with Profumum Fiori di Ambre and it was lovely.

French Lime Blossom starts out as a zingy blend of linden flower and lime juice. There's a slight sharpness to it for the first few minutes - another reviewer mentioned the smell of perm chemicals, and I can see the similarity. This aspect fades quickly, though, and leaves behind a lovely soapy floral that's light and perfect for warm weather.

Gorgeous and PERFECT for the summer. I can totally see wearing this to the beach. In fact it reminds me of suntan lotion. I love it and will have a bottle for my trip to the Cape next week to end the summer with a bang. It's fresh, feminine and lovely.

I normally don't like any floral fragrances, but this one is nice because it's more complex and not just floral. It's kind of hard to describe, but I do smell lime and I agree with others who described it as creamy. It's kind of powdery and fresh and the floral is not overpowering. I think I could learn to love it over time, but my husband doesn't like it for some reason. (He said it smells "like dead flowers that someone needs to throw out.) I think he's just used to the heavier vanilla-based scents that I normally wear.

What a beautiful clean spring and summer fragrance! This is a Linden blossom fragrance with bergamot and tarragon. It starts out crisp and green and at first whiff, even a hair masculine, but quickly becomes a soft creamy white floral to me. Not strong and heady, just pretty with a bit of greenness. I love this smell! It is quite light and not long lasting on me however. I hear the cream is much more potent. Might even be described as a gentle "soapy" scent. Wonderful!!

I mistakenly expected this to be a deeper, sweeter linden scent: the scent of linden under a hot sun, honeyed, soapy, sharp and heady. But lo and behold, what a shrewd name this fragrance bears. While it means linden, it evokes lime. It's indeed both, green florals and citrus, that must sit well with the sniffing party if she is to appreciate the blend. Although it can feel like an ambiance fragrance, it morphs well on my skin – not strikingly, just well and enough. It takes off with crisp citrus and murmuring linden. Then tarragon notes make an entrance: brazen as one would expect, but also astutely blended to ellicit the greenness. It’s only hours later that linden blossom takes the limelight. And it’s late. For the most part, this smells like lemon-linden sherbet on me. Somewhat syrupy, acidic and restrained, yet also uplifting, virid and floral. Linden soap and lemon drops, cotton frills and perfect skin. Artfully done. If anyone has a bottle to spare, I won’t say no.

Lime Blossom is another name for linden. I prefer L'Occitane's linden to this one. French Lime Blossom does not change at all once it's on me. What you smell in the bottle is what you get-- there don't seem to be any interesting base notes. It smells more like a place than a perfume.

I really love this perfume. It reminds me of L'Occataine Linden but better. It is fresh but not masculine. It is also great to mix with vanilla perfumes. I will surely buy again even though it is expensive. Worth it IMO.

I wanted to like this and I ended up really disliking it. It didn't smell at all like a lime.. lemon or anything I expected. I don't even know what it smells like.. but I had to wash it off as it gave me a headache.

Soapy and slightly masculine. Smells like a very little boy who's just had a bath and is snuggling up for a bedtime story. Not bad, but now how I want to smell. Staying power on me was apparently better than for many, unfortunately.

Tried this for the first time today. NOT impressed. Smelled like a regular floral to me. Then a sweet, somwhat powdery dry down. Too bad.

The base note is linden. There is a hint of lime that fades quickly. There are plenty of cheaper linden scented fragrances that smell exactly like this.

I do like this. First I get a lemon, then it dissapears and a honeysuckle comes up in the middle notes, but in the dry down it blends with the lemon again. A floral citrus, soft and a little mouthwatering even to me. But there's also a metallic note present, like cool iron, that keeps me from wanting a FB of this. The staying power is ok on my skin for a cologne, can still smell it after 6 hours! But I did apply generously. I prefer citrus scents like SL Fleurs de Citronniers or Caron Miss Rocaille, but overall a nice scent. I'd give 3.5 lippies.

EEK - $50 for 1 oz and $85 for 3.4 oz? I however shelled out $$ and bought the larger size because this is the ONLY green floral which works with my body chemistry. All of the other supposedly "fresh" scents (e.g., CK "Escape") make me strongly physically nauseated!! This has very green, citrus notes on top which die down to a very subtle, pretty floral - Perfect for spring! The scent, however, does not last very long (but most citrus perfumes do not), so I rate this a 4 rather than a 5. Overall, this is REALLY pretty - I compare this to Annick Goutal's L'Hadrien but with less citrus and more floral.

The packaging is beautiful - the bottle is simple, elegant, a little-bit old-world and comes nestled in a lined, heavy cardboard box tied in a black satin ribbon and its own shopping bag.

I bought mine at Saks - the NM people tried to tell me they are the exclusive vendors for this line of perfume but do not believe them! Saks also graciously privided generously-sized samples of orange blossom, jasmine, pomegranate noir, tuberose, and gardenia. Of these, the orange blossom and jasmine smell the freshest.

I got a bottle of this in a swap and I'm very happy that I did. Very few perfumes work on me, and few Jo Malones, too, but this one (on my weird skin) really works. I suppose it's floral--it's actually hard for me to determine what exactly it smells like, but it doesn't really smell like a pure white floral to me. The effect is clear, crisp, sophisticated, and ladylike. I've been getting compliments since the first time I put it on.

It's particularly nice mixed with JM Orange Blossom, which I will be getting some of this week.

2/12/06 update: still getting compliments. I like it a lot.

A light green floral that is so refreshing it reminds me more of a room fragrance than a cologne. This had excellent staying power on me, 6-plus hours. It is sweet lime and begamot and something that makes me think of honeysuckle or lily that lingers for a long time after the citrus wears off. Definitely something for someone to try who likes a light clean fragrance. 30ml for $50.00

I love the way this linden fragrance smelled in the bottle, but it doesn't last on me. During hay fever season, it seems to aggravate my allergies even more.
