This shampoo is HORRIBLE! It made my hair extremely, extremely frzzy and it made my hair puff out so much that my hair was covering my face! It also made my scalp itchy. But it did make my hair dry faster, and I love the scent.

I bought this product because I have straight hair, not because I wanted to have straight hair. I was very happy with this product. The smell was nice, it made my hair very smooth and shiny and very touchable. It added enough weight to my hair that I didn't suffer from flyaway hair, but it was not too heavy.

This is one of my very favorite shampoos. But again, I have very straight hair and was not using this to help me straighten my hair.

I think this shampoo actually may have made my hair even curlier, and it definitely didn't help it maintain its straightness after I flat-ironed it. It smelled great, and it didn't dry out my admittedly damaged hair, or weigh it down, but it was kind of useless. Not recommended.

Eww! This product is horrible! It is very misleading and works just the opposite of what it says. I hate it. The only thing I liked about it was the pink bottle with the jokes on the back. Boo. =[

I used this a long time ago. It smelled really good and I noticed a huge difference in frizz control when I started using it. The downside was it seemed to not work as well after using it for a while. I'm thinking about using the conditioner next, but not the shampoo because I have colored hair now. If I didn't have colored hair, I'd probably give this one a try again.

When I bought this I was yearning for mildly straight hair. What I found was that it made my hair course, frizzy and was a burden for 3 weeks. I reccomend sunsilk's straightening products. Not worth the 4 dollors. Much rather have the equate crap I use when I run out of shampoo for the 2 dollars. Nontheless packaging was adorable.

I just love how HE shampoos and conditioners all have a different scent. I own over half, and each scent fits a different mood of mine. Anyway, this shampoo didn't really straighten my hair, but it did make it extremely soft. The scent lingered after the wash too. Really nice softening shampoo!

Absolutely love it. I didn't expect for it to straighten my hair, which it didn't. What I DID expect was for it to control frizzies, condition, add shine, and generally make it easier for me to straighten my hair which it did. :-)

I really like this shampoo. I use it with the conditioner and I'm very pleased with the results. I have fine, thick, very curly hair and I find this shampoo, with the conditioner, really helps me on those days I feel like wearing my hair straight. The price is great, the smell is great, my hair has lots of shine. You still have to use some sort of styling device, either a blow dryer or hot iron, to get your hair straight, but with this, it's definitely easier and shinier when you're done.

I have oily hair that tends to get dried out in the winter and look a little bit dry at the ends. This shampoo makes my hair feel very silky and soft and makes it lay even straighter. My hair feels clean yet it isn't dried out. I would definitely recommend this product for those who want sleek straight hair without feeling oily.

This a super shampoo , my daughter first had purchased this as a teen, I am sure she was attracted to the eyecatching bottle.I almost always purchase salon brands but decided to try this, being I straighten my hair often. My hair turned out super silky soft and very straight , I now purchase this bottle myself and use it when I straighten my hair.The smell is very pretty too.

I bought this product (and the matching conditioner) on a whim when I was at the grocery store. I had never bought any product from the new line of Herbal Esscences before, and I loved the old line, so I figured, why not?

I have naturally fine, straight hair, so I wasn't really looking to straighten my hair anymore than it already is. Personally, I thought this shampoo was terrible. It dried my hair right out, and i could just feel the waxy residue building up on my hair shaft. And it left my hair in tangles and knots. I even got tired of the scent after a few washes!

Very dissapointing! I won't be buying this again!!

smells really really good, as with all herbal essence products. i used the conditioner and it made my hair incredibly soft and much easier to blow dry. i have really thick, course hair and it definetley made mine straigther. however, i only gave it 4 lippies because the straightness didn't last that long in my hair.

Out of all of the newer Herbal Essences shampoos, this is probably my favorite. This has a great fresh scent & cleanses gently (all of the other new Herbal Essences shampoos either feel like they're drying or leaving buildup). Nice drugstore price. Now, I'm not sure this is very successful in its straightening claims but I don't know if I really care (so if you do care, expect no straightening miracles, just mild smoothing). Would purchase again!

i really like herbal essences... but this shampoo&conditioner hit a bad chord with me, me thinks. I didnt expect it to straighten my hair (my hair is kinky curly, fine but lots of strands) but i did expect it to leave it softer & less frizzy. Did not to either of those things. & i wasnt too crazy about the smell myself, it was nothing out of the ordinary.

I bought this shampoo along with the conditioner for its wonderful smell. I also wanted smoother hair. My hair did become a bit less frizzy after using this. However, the effects tend to wear off the more you use it. Now I'm using L'Oreal vivepro smooth intense shampoo, which makes my hair feel a lot smoother and softer, even though the scent of it doesn't compare to this one.

Complete crap! My hair was frizzy and coarse after using the shampoo and accompanying conditioner. Too much fragrance and too much dye. I don't think it adequately cleaned my hair yet somehow managed to dry it out a bit. My hair is now both dry AND greasy. Amazing! (I'm giving it two lippies because my hair is not poufy after using this nor did it leave loads of build-up as others do.)

I have really enjoyed this shampoo (and the corresponding conditioner). I absolutely love the smell--honeyed pear and silk. As far as the quality of the performance of this shampoo, I can't say it is fantastic, but I have repurchased 3 or 4 times because I can't get enough of the smell. This is my "standby" shampoo/conditioner when I'm not planning on doing anything fancy with my hair, just want to get it clean and fresh smelling. All the new Herbal Essences products seem to be improved a lot, and I like the packaging and scents of most of the new line. Plus it is so cheap, so what's not to love?

It cleaned my hair well, but that's the only thing it has going for it. After using half the bottle, I found that my hair is limp and lifeless yet straight. The smell is okay, if a little too strong, and it really lingers in your hair. The worst part of this shampoo lies in the fact that I noticed that I was shedding more than I was before.
