Love, love, love this eye shadow! I am a PPP, and this shadow is a luminous beige gold color, not too metallic or garish on my pale skin. I love the texture, very smooth but not greasy. It really brightens my blue eyes and makes them pop! I would definitely repurchase!

This is the color I turn to when I'm tired and I need a lift (or I need to fake a lift). It is a beigy-gold, and at first I agonized over purchasing it. I have used it very frequently, and really it is my second favorite (Burnished is my number one). I find that it works well for me on lids rather than brow bone. This product sticks around for me all day, and as a busy Mom of 2, that means a lot! I haven't written a review for products in 3 years, but this long-wear product makes me want to speak up!

I am at a loss as to why this seems to be dry or cakey for some of my MUA friends. I apply these with my ring fingers; and love to pile this one on a little thicker now that summer is here. I actually get a better application using my fingers than my 2 BB long wear brushes I've bought!

I'm not sure why this hasn't gotten higher ratings. I love this color and the wearability is great. Mind you, I haven't tested it out in the hot, humid summer weather, but I think it should hold up fine. I own sand castle and sand dollar and like those as well

I love this color but use so little I may never have to buy again. It looks great on hazel/brown eyes. I'm 45 and see no crepiness with this product, in fact, it really brightens my eyes. It's not frosty, but shimmery. I didn't think I could wear this shimmer but I love it. I get the best results by patting on with my finger (even though I have the brush). Lasts forever, even through yoga, kickboxing, etc.

I wanted to try a cream eye shadow to brighten up my eyes, and the MA tried this shade on one eye and bone on the other--and surprise, the warm sandy gold shade really brightened up my dark brown eyes, slightly yellow skin, but the bone looked ashy and very ordinary. I was afraid to try a glittery shadow since I have some crepiness, but the shine is subtle and very pretty.

Makes my lids look really crepey (and I'm only 31) in a scary way. It's way too dry to look decent and the colour is off if you are paler than NC30. Other than that, lasting powder is great, but that doesn't make it more wearable :-(

Pretty color, just too shimmery for me. Lasts very long. I ended up sending it back.

I'm an NC20 but have terribly dark lids, if i had a bit too much time in my hands that day and I did a perfect concealing, then this product really isn't showing up good, but with a subtle hint of gold shimmer only. However I really do like the amount of shimmer it carries. Not too much, but enough to be noticed when somebody's standing close enough to you. If I'm in a hurry and this product helps me in brightening up my lids a little bit. The texture of this shadow is quite dry, and if apply enough it won't crease on me. I like it generally, and I'm considering buying other shades as well. (I bought Sandy Gold and Burnished)

I also agree that this product doesn't show up on my skin and doesn't make as good of an e/s primer as UD primer potion. I tried this for one week and couldn't see ANY shade on my lids, not even a subtle difference. I exchanged this for their new Clementine blush, which I like very much!

This is a god-awful product. Beautiful color, but the texture is dry, which makes it difficult to apply. I applied it with a brush--I looked like I had grit on the crepiest eyelids in the universe. I applied it with my finger--same thing. I applied it with a finger after warming it on my hand--same thing. Awful. Granted, I'm 47, but my lids aren't crepey, so it's the fault of the product, not my eyes. Back it goes--and back I go to MAC paints for $5.50 less per color.

Update: I wrote my original review on 8/16/2006. Now that I'm older, I'm gravitating more toward cream shadows and decided to give this another try. I am pleasantly surprised. The formula is now easier to apply, looks smooth and pretty on my lids, and wears all day. The color is great, too. Thanks, Bobbi, for improving this product!

OK this is my third review for this product. First of all, I have NEVER posted a review. Second, this product is amazing and I am in no way shape or form a beauty junkie or expert. I have medium colored skin with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. My skin is a little olivey in tone but not too much. First to review the product in itself: it's simply amazing! Do not apply with a brush, that is useless, but use your fingertips to smear on a little bit and then blend quickly before it dries. I had no problems whatsoever with applying this. The first day I got it I just wanted to test it out and I was in the process of moving in very hot humid weather..........and 7 hours later of sweating like mad the shadow was still perfect. No smearing and no creasing. My skin being combination with slightly oily lids........this was a miracle. No to review the color: it's a very beautiful yellowish gold with shimmer. It's elegant and just plain gorgeous. My eyes kind of popped a bit after applying the color with a liner. I love how it looked clean and elegant while still have a very noticeable shimmer to it. It is a perfect day and night shade. I think that I will hopefully buy more colors when I can and again, I am not a beauty junkie but thanks to this one product I starting to have a new found appreciation for BB! Even if you don't like this particular color you should check this stuff out. It's really that good and I am shocked that a novice like me would be this crazy for a product while some of the reviews here have been not so great. Again, don't bother with a bruch, use your fingers........I think that might be the problem for most of you.

I have been using LM Eye Basics forever and was excited to try this long wearing base+shadow. I'm not a big e/s person (gasp!) I just like to put a little something natural on my lids. Since I'm oily, it must be non-creasing. I used Eye Basic in Buff and BB's Bellini seemed like a close match but I went out on a limb and tried Sandy Gold. BB's color selection is much wider than LM's. Sandy Gold is a pale yellow with small flecks of gold shimmer. I'm a GGG and the yellowness of Sandy Gold is a little off on my skin. This is why I will not re-purchase but am looking foward to trying Bellini because this truly does not crease. I applied it with LM's cream e/s brush and it dried quickly (which was not really a problem for me) and then stayed all day. I don't like the little container it comes in and applying with the proper brush is essential.

After all the raves, i was expecting this product to be great. Unfortunately its not. I picked up Sandy Gold. A soft gold shimmmer. It doesnt show up on my lids at all. I tried it with a brush and my finger and I could barely see it. (nc30 light olive complexion). But then i thought, i dont really care since i want to use this as a shadow base. But lo and behold, it doesnt do that well either. I have quite oily lids and love my UD primer potion or MAC paints. They are still better than this product. My shadows faded slowly throughout the day. And there was very slight creasing after 8 hours. This product works well till about 5 hours.SInce this isnt as good as my UD or mac, and doesnt show up, back it goes. I also dont like that this come in a little pot.
