Bought the Expert Eyes in Night Sky. In the package, color looks BLACK, but on my fair skin, it translates to a beautiful charcoally smokey gray, very lovely. However, I haven't seen an eyeshadow that creases and fades as bad as this one in YEARS. Will try putting it on with a wet brush, but all in all, what a shame. Lovely color but needs reformulation.

This is actually really good and Im glad I bought it. I have the color TAPESTRY TAUPE and its gorgeous for hazel or geen eyes. It applies smoothly and looks great. The olny con is after about 6 hours it creases. Which i hate ! but the color is amazing and i use it every day so Im sticking with this !

pros : the color's not too pigmented for everyday wear. the applicator that comes with it is pretty decent.
cons : it tends to fade throughout the day (yes, i use a primer.) it creased on me a couple of times. the color's not very pigmented, so you need to layer it a couple of times before you get a good color payoff. i hate the cheap - looking plastic container ; IT'S SO UGLY! i might have gotten a defective one, but i had to scrape the shadow off with a tweezer then follow up with an eyeshadow brush to pick up the loose shadow.
overall : i would never buy this again. it wasn't worth my money.

I have 2 ExpertWear Monos in Spring Green and I Love Lilac. I put it on at 7 AM and this eyeshadow still looks great at 7 PM, it doesn`t crease at all and doesn`t fade (I always use a foundation).
The only one reason that stops me from buying more Maybelline products, is that they test on animals :(

A perfectly average eye shadow. The colors tend to fade over time but most do with me. I won't throw out what I have (I can use UDPP underneath to help it stay), but I am not going to repurchase. For cheap eye shadows with staying power, try ELF.

I have lasting lilac on right now but I fing the color is weak and fades, I wet the brush and no I have STUNNING eyes, my only complaint is the color selection, if you have brown eyes get lasting lilac...or stick with a more expensive, higher end brand.

I never thought Maybelline eyeshadows were anything to really rave about, and their eyeshadows are no exception. They may have some decent and workable colors, but they're more "miss" than "hit" - especially if you're looking deeper/brighter colors.
A majority of the colors that they have are pretty much all filler, but they're not as bad as other drugstore brands.
So, with some colors you are going to keep digging until you get the desired result.
I'd check out the lighter colors in the Maybelline line, as they make some great highlighters for the eyes. Other than that, I wouldn't mess with them.

I didn't like the texture. Not finely milled at all. It was too gritty and didn't blend well. There was too much sparkle. I didn't like the colors too.

I'm not a big fan of this stuff, its neat that they show you how to apply it to achieve a 'look'. The little applicators it comes with are terrible and I didn't like the colour on me at all. I think this stuff is only so-so and not really worth the money unless you find colours you like or just like the fact thats its a 4 in 1 compact.

i actually really like this eyeshadow!
Mine says ExpertWear Eye Shadow, so maybe they have changed the formula?
i have Emerald Isle quad and Silver Lining single. i want to get some more colors because they are so cheap!
Mine doesn't crease at all, but the color is a little softer than it is in the pan (but i think most shadows are a tad less intense)...

I actually quite like this! I got a quad with dark purple, lilac, pink and a really like almost white shimmery pink. I think it stays on relativly well (3/4 day) doesn't crease and looks good when layered. Packaging has alot to answer for though, one word, tacky!

I had the Expert Eyes Eyeshadow in a quad that I don't think they sell any more. The colors were pale pink, light blue, light green, and violet. I liked the colors a lot and appreciated their subtelness. They went on smooth and didn't crease. They had average durability for me, lasting maybe half the day. Overall, I threw them out because they were old and because I am switching to more natural makeup.

Bad bad eyeshadow. Goes on super chalky and doesn't have much staying power. Save your money for better eye shadow ladies!

Thank God I bought this on a sale. So many cons with this stuff: (1) the colors aren't very intense so you have to pile it on to see the color; (2) consistency is hard and chalky so it skips when you put it on; (3) when you finally put enough on to see the color, its not the color in the pan. The one redeeming quality of this is that its dirt cheap. This is a case of getting what you paid for. I put it in my gym bag for emergencies.

With Maybelline It's always a hit or a miss. The hits are very far and in-between from what I have tried. After picking this up and trying it,yes I was a bit disapointed the color was duo in "Sea Glass" and it looked amazing in the case but I should of remembered not all eyeshadows wear like MAC.There are those few out there that do.So I took a chance and bought this. This is such a chalky eyeshadow having way more talc then pigment. After I put it on it with a professional brush stroking the colors over 10 x each to get a fair pigment I did not like the result at all. This was the first time I had ever tried the expert wear eyeshadow.Overall this is a piece of junk and proved to be very, very poor quality.

This is an average eyeshadow at an average price. Seriously it's really no better than something you'd pick up at a discount bargain store. I have slightly oily skin and tend to perspire in hot weather, and this eyeshadow, like most, tends to collect in the crease by lunchtime.
The secret to making cheap cake eyeshadows stay put is to blot the eyelid with a tissue to make sure it is dry and then apply the eyeshadow with a very slightly damp sponge tip applicator, or a really good quality brush. Applied properly, the cheapest bargain basement pressed eyeshadows will stay on almost as well as the more expensive ones - at least as well as something in the price range of Max Factor or Revlon. Your best bet with eyeshadows is to find a big cheap palette with 12-24 colours in a matt texture and apply them as I've suggested. They will look equally as sophisticated, and wear equally as well as many more expensive ones. Then take the money you've saved and use it for shimmer eyeshadows - this is where the difference in quality shows.

The packaging is very cheap and breaks easily.
I bought it in black (nightsky I believe) and it works great over liner but the other colours aren't as good (such as sparkling wine). They are washed out and when applied look like a competely different colour than advertised.
The only one I would purchase again is the black.

There is no shadow. It takes so many swaps on the eyelids to see ANYTHING. And after I finally get some product on there, it fades in a flash. There is substance. The package is pretty simple, no mirror. They seem to have very nice colors, too bad they don't work. Never buying this again.

I got Pretty Grey and the name is misleading- it's not grey at all It's a coppery dusty rose. But on my eyes it looks more burnished gold. It fades quickly on me.
