Love it, dries any cystic acne pretty much overnight, calms acne and redness, and draws up impurities like blackheads and whiteheads so that they're easier to get rid of. The smell of the sulfur really isn't as bad as some people describe, I think it's fine and it doesn't last that long once you wash it off.

Amazing and totally worth the accolades for those who have oily, acne-prone skin.

I only use this as a mask when the oil on my skin gets really bad because it does remove the excess oil. I don't notice a difference in pore size. I prefer it as a spot treatment. I think I would use it more often if it didnt smell like sickness.

A lot of people keep mentioning that it dries out before they can even finish the jar. I suggest opening the protection sealed cover halfway to scoop some out to put in a separate jar, then covering it back up with the seal and capping it. i have been doing that for almost a year. I have used about 1/3 of the jar and it has not dried out at all

Please do not buy this product agian. I bought the whole acne line in DDF and I had to return it all. I decided to check out all the ingredients on these products and they are very harmful to your skin. The sulfur mask is the worst. Chemicals in any kind of products can be extremely hard on your skin. Dont put something on your face unless its safe enough to eat!

This mask doesn't really have much of an effect on my skin when used as a 15-or-so-minute mask. As an overnight spot treatment, however, it's saved my life a few times. I mostly get painful under-the-surface bumps that either come to a head or stay under the skin for weeks, disppear, and later reappear in the same general area. This has gotten rid of my worst breakout in three nights' use. It smells great (like almond extract, yum!) and looks like it'll last me a very long time.

I wanted a mask I could use to soak up all the oil and small breakouts I had during summer, and I decided to try this one.
Big mistake. My face exploded with painful cysts almost instantly, and it took weeks to clear up and a few months for the scars to disappear.
I greatly prefer Queen Helene's Mint Julep, which is also a LOT cheaper.
It looks like it works for many people, but if you've never tried it before, I'd recommend you do a spot treatment using it all over your face.

There's no miracle in this jar, but I think it's a pretty good quality mask for acne prone skin. I use it about twice a week for 15 minutes each time. I can feel it shrinking my pores and treating my acne. The result isn't dramatic, but definitely noticeable. People compare this with the Queen Halene mask and I don't think they are the same thing. I do like the QH for the affordable price and the fact it does help with pores and clarifying a little bit. If you are having trouble with acne, DDF is the product for you. It does sting my eyes even after I wash it off though.

This mask is magic in a jar!!!! Ahhhh Im soo thankful to DDF and the wonderful products!!!!! Changed my life!!!
I've bin using it for almost 3months and my skin is clearer and glows everyday. I have bin suffering with cystic acne since I was 14. I have oily skin and combination skin during winter. I have tired everything in the world from proactiv, neutrogena, differin, benzaclin, oral antibiotics like tetracyclin which my dermatologist said I have to take on a daily basis and I did but I still broke out. So I decided to stop taking the meds and I've bin off the antibiotics for a year and half now! I never took accutane, cuz I'm scared of it's side effects. And I used just gels like differing and aczone and I still broke out. But in November'10 I decided to try DDF products. Oh God! Wat a life saver!!!! My skin just changed instanly. I wash my face with a regular salicylic wash. Pat dry. Then I use DDF Glycolic 10% amazing toner with a cotton pad. It removes all impurities, blackheads also. Let it dry for a couple of seconds and then I use the DDF 5% BP gel. And let it dry and moisturise with the ceptaphil cream at night and during day time I use the clinique dramatically moisturizing gel and neutrogena ultra sheer sunblock SPF 55. At night I spot treat the old cystic bumps or any new ones tht begin to show with DDF Sulfur Mask!~ and my skin is acne free!!! Luv DDF~saved my life!!!!

One of my HG masks, started using it 5 weeks ago =) Honestly, when my skintone gets uneven, a pimple appears etc. this is my rescue. I don't have acne and my skin got from "oil mine" to "oily" thanks to the Meiji Amino Collagen I'm drinking every evening but I'm still fighting against blackheads and large pores and this mask turned out to be a striking weapon in this battle. =) No need to slap a lot of this on your face, a small amount is effective. Last night I was so tired and my skin looked horrid from the lack of sleep these days and too much partying (incl. lots of alcohol (vodka... <3 ) which is a first-degree murder of even and clear skin), so I put this mask on and fell asleep while waiting for it to impact. I woke up with glowing clear even skin and refined pores (actually they were barely visible). I don't know if this is supposed to be left on the face for a couple of hours or if it could harm the skin, mine was fine but next time I will wash it off after 20 minutes as usual but I was just blown away by the result this darling gave me this morning.
Will I buy this again? Oui. Yes. Ja. Si. Hai. Da. The sulfur mask is a basic part of my arsenal against the blackheads/clogged pores/dull complexion now! =)

I love this mask! I've tried several, one of them being the mint julep. This is my HG product for having clear skin. I use it twice a week and it helps control my oils and blackheads. I found the best way to use this is right after a hot shower or bath because the steam opens up the pores. I spread a thin even layer and leave it on for 10 minutes, if you put on a thick layer it takes longer for the mask to dry and I feel it isn't as effective. Don't apply this mask too close to the eye because it burns at first.

I can't rave enough about this mask enough!! It is my HG for acne. I had a lot of bumps on my forehead and now they are almost gone after 2 weeks. I have seen a tremendous change in my skin since I've started using this. I use it as a spot treatment on my pimples before bed and they significantly reduce by the morning. The mask cuts the acne time in half and I don't know what I would do with out it. DEFF give it a try !!

OMG i absolutely love this product, at first i was very excited and nervous to try this product due to the wonderful feedback and the level of my expectations towards new product which in the past i only experienced products that where only expensive and failed to deliver results. I got this as a sample when i purchased my DDF moisturizer. I applied it that very same night as a spot treatment on my stubborn pimples/cystic fat like ones for the entire night. OMG to my surprise the bumps disappeared and the very huge ones were so small nearly unnoticeable, after that I used it just as a spot treatment every other night when those ugly looking ones came along. Although the only thing that i did not like was the fact it dried out pretty quick in my opinion which was 2 months, but besides that this product is FANTASTIC, and would definitely 100% refer it to anyone who suffers from acne.

Hell yes I'd buy this product again! Absolute miracle for my very clogged forehead. The smell isn't fantastic, but considering it is a sulfer-based product, its much better than I had anticipated.
I used this two nights in a row and dried my skin out a bit-definately stick to one to two times a week like the directions suggest.

Acne prone girl here! I bought this mask to combat my acne problem. At first, I did not like it because it felt uncomfortable on my skin. It does not work as as acne mask. It works as a mask to draw toxins out your face. I had to find the right way to use it. (that's the trick) This mask works when I steam my face then apply it right after. I use it as a whole face mask, once a week. You can actually feel it drawing out the toxins. If you need a mask that draws toxins out the skin, this is the mask for you. That is the only purpose it serves.

I wanted this for so long, and couldn't bring myself to accept the price. The reviews and discussions on the skincare board made this soooo tempting. I finally got a gift card from swap and I had to give in and try. I am not disappointed in the slightest. I use this once a week, on the weekend, applied to clean skin and rinse it off and I don't apply anything else after. This really helps maintain my balance/ acne issues. No irritation, no excessive dryness. And to my delight, this expensive jar of goop should last a very long time!
12/11- This did last a very long time but I have found a cheaper alternative, the sulfur treatment from GOW can be applied and left on all night.

I love this stuff! My dermatologist recommended it to me when I went in for a cortisone injection (hormonal cystic acne on my chin only). I use it on my chin once a week for the acne, and across my nose and cheeks to shrink the pores. I've been using the mask for two months and haven't had a single cyst! I like the scent and the decreased oil production. I guess it's a little expensive, but it lasts a long time so it's not really a problem. And I keep the pot in a ziplock so it won't dry out.

This mask really burned my eyes for about 30 minutes after I washed it off. But, it is fairly effective at controlling breakouts when used regularly. It seemed like I had to use it 3 times a week and use it as a spot treatment at night in order to keep breakouts controlled, though. I guess I expect more from a product that costs so much... I expect it to be effective just as a mask twice a week, but not everything is perfect. What I really don't like about it is how quickly it dries out in the jar. Don't let it sit in your cabinet for long and expect it to still work... it dries out fairly quickly so keep an eye on it and shell out another $38 bucks for a new one when it does dry out and lose its effectiveness. I'll still use it though because it does work.

The DDF Sulfur Mask is my HG mask for breakouts. I can't say enough good things about it. I have combination skin with occasional, usually hormonal, breakouts. When I do breakout, I apply the DDF mask. I usually leave it on longer than the prescribed amount of time. It's also a great spot treatment! After I remove the mask, my breakout is either completely vanished or 90% healed. It's miraculous! I've used many acne masks in my time (Clinique, Aveeno, Queen Helene) and the DDF mask is the most effective product hands down. It's pricey, about $38.00 USD, but it's worth it. You get a good amount for the price. I used the mask usually bi-weekly, and it lasted for more than a year. Buy it!!

Currently my skin isn't in the best state. I think I'm getting hormonal acne and it is really painful. I also tried to use BHA's to help clear my skin and pretty much destroyed it during the process. This mask is wonderful! It softened my skin and made it baby smooth. I'm not sure if it will help with my acne or not but I definitely noticed a reduction in the amount of oil that I produce through out the day. The price isn't that bad and it lasts a long time. I will buy this again and again!
