I really like that this is matte not shimmery and shiny. In the pot it looks brown and uninteresting, but the tiniest bit warms up my skin (better than Warmth) with a subtle bronze. I find that Warmth has reddish-brown (rust) undertones, while this has more golden-brown (bronze) undertones. It takes a while to get the hang of applying a bronzer, but it’s worth it (I like to apply it to my forehead, tops of my cheeks, across my nose and juts barely on my chin). As with all BE, a little bit goes a long way; and the packaging it terrible, so be careful when opening. I will buy this again.

I LOVE THIS BRONZER! it's perfect for any skin tone, in my opinion. it's got a teeny tiny bit of shimmer, but they're finely grained instead huge chunks. it really does give the skin a nice, healthy glow. blending is a breeze too. you can layer on for a more intense color. this stuff with last you FOREVER! i've had this since about march or so.
definetly worth checking out!! get a sample at sephora!!!

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't much like this bronzer; it's just brown. A bland, cocoa-ish brown without much hint of any other color on my pale, warmish-toned skin. Also, like it seems with most BE colors, it is really easy to over do this (at least on my coloring) and make myself look like I rubbed my face in dirt.
My usual, go-to bronzer is Clinique's Sunkissed and it looks like that's what I'll be sticking with because it's more of a natural color and is easier to work with than this stuff.

I have been searching for the perfect bronzer for contouring all this time, and here it was right under my nose. I've had a jar of this for a while and have used it quite a bit, but usually on my chest/shoulders/neck to even me out. No clue why I never tried it on my face. No orange, no sparkles when you put it on, adds the perfect color, and easy to blend. It's perfect for contouring, blending, evening foundation, bronzed cheeks, etc, etc, etc...I will use this forever. Top product in my top 3 bronzers.

This is my be-all and end-all of bronzers. Everything I've tried turns me orange or makes me look dirty, the old lament. This stuff is what Warmth should be. It's the correct color for a kiss of tan on my cheeks, temples, etc.

There are some glitters in the powder, but I never ever see them once it's applied. I have a sample jar that will probably last forever, but I would definitely repurchase. The search for bronzers is ovah.

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this bronzer! I've tried other bronzers, from drugstore to department store brands, and this one is fantastic! I have found that this powder gives a very natural looking glow, it didn't look muddy on my olive skin like some bronzers do. I just look like I've spent an afternoon at the beach. Sun-kissed. My sister is much more fair-skinend than I am and she was able to use Faux Tan with beautiful results also. I purchased it from Sephora as a kit with a fan brush which I highly recommend. The fan brush allows a lighter application than a hefty bronzer brush. I love that the container's shaker top keeps you from wasting product or spilling. A little goes a long way and this kit should last me all summer. If you want a sun-kissed glow and flawless finish, try this!

This stuff is amazing! I got a little sample of it the other day and the girl at the BE store applied it on me too when she re-did my makeup. This product as sooo good as a bronzer on the cheeks. I use this over my Warmth and over my Glee Radiace and it makes me look like I have a nice tan and glow. A little glows a long way with this product. When I run out of my sample (which wont be very soon since I barely use any when I do use it) I will definitely buy this product and I just know it will be great for during the summer and make me look pretty and tanned :)

This is the only bronzer I will use! I hate the shimmery orange kind everyone it making these days. Faux tan is so natural looking and a little goes a long way!! If you overuse it, you'll just look dirty. But I'd rather look dirty than like an oompa loompa!!!!!!! lol :-P

Great matte bronzer. I'm not a fan of the "glittery bronzers." This is a great product that leaves with enough "caribbean vacation" tanned look without overdoing it. My only gripe about this product and all BE products is that the packaging sucks for travel! Actually...it kind of sucks all around. I actually "plugged" up some of the holes with scotch tape so I have better control of how much product comes out and it has been working out great.

This is my first, and probably last product from Bare Minerals. I really wanted to like this, because the colour is nice, but it makes me look really shiney, and it also made me breakout.

I originally fooled myself into thinking that Warmth was the best for bronzing. Yeah, not so much after getting a few good looks at myself in daylight. It's too shimmery for a woman in her early 30s, I think.

Enter Faux Tan. I actually purchased this at my local Bare Escentuals store, so it came in a promo package called "Bronzed and Brilliant" with the "light stroke fan brush" and 100% natural lipgloss in Citrus Tart. Total cost for the kit = $29.50 and so far, worth it.

The Faux Tan color is way more my speed, it's buildable but very light to begin with. The fan brush is easy to use and create either a simply bronzed cheek or an all over warm face. The surprise to the whole kit was the lipgloss. I wanted the kit, but at first balked at the peachy pink shade of the gloss, and since I have not purchased gloss ever at BE, I wasn't sure what I was in for.

Citrus tart is really a nice color. Peachy pink and not shimmery...which is exactly what I like. All in all a great buy. Now if I could only figure out how to travel with those BE containers without them spilling 80% of the product out at the same time. Errrrr.

I LUV LUV LUV this bronzer! It's a pure neutral toned bright brown (not a dirty or muddy brown!) which goes on glowy (no shimmer, per se....but gives your skin a nice glow). I have light olive skin, and when I'm not suntanned I can tend to look a bit sallow. On my sallow days, I reach for BE Warmth (a warmer toned brown which transforms my sallow skin into a lightly sunkissed glowy look). However, on days when my skin does not look sallow, I reach for Faux Tan. It's more pigmented than Warmth, but applied correctly, it goes on very sheerly. To apply, I shake the container, tap the lid to drop excess powder off, and then I use only what color remains on the lid. That is all! Perfect!

I also use Faux Tan as either an all over face color (bronzer), or as a blush, or even as a contour face color, and even as a crease color when I want a NON smokey eye look. It even works as a good brow color for me (I have blonde hair and light warm brown eyebrows). Faux Tan is such a versatile product!

I LOVE to pair Faux Tan with either BE Flowers blush, or with CGirl Cheekers Classic Pink blush. LUVVVV that look of pink or coral pink cheeks against a tan. The BEST thing about Faux Tan is that it gives such a sheer wash of color, and as with all BE face colors, this stuff stays ON, until you are ready to take it off! Unlike many other bronzers I've used, this will not streak or rub off even if you are in the hot humid sweaty summer! And.....best reason to use this product...NO breakouts on my sensitive skin. :)

Best bronzer I've used. I have yellow undertones, and it doesn't make my skin look sallow. Makes me look sun-kissed without looking dirty.

If you don't like the Warmth shade that comes in the basic kit, give the Faux Tan a try.

I have been trying to find a bronzer that won't give me clogged pores. I can't use talc and pressed bronzers bug my skin too. I have been using Warmth but it doesn't give me enough of a tan look. This is the best! It blends any hyperpigmenation I have on my face and really looks great. Best of all there isn't anything weird in it to clog my pores.

I have recently switched from my Smashbox "suntan matte" bronzer to this one. I found that while I love the color of smashbox bronzer, it broke me out, so I was on the look out for a mineral bronzer. I used to use BM's warmth, but found it to be a little too orange-y for me. Last time I tried BM, they didn't even have other options for bronzers, so I was pleasantly surprised by their selection. I chose this color because it seemed to fit my summer skin tone. It also blends so much easier than the Smashbox bronzer. So far, no breakouts either and that is always a HUGE plus. The one and only thing I am struggling with, as I did with BM's warmth, is the shininess. When first applied, it gives my skin a "glow", but after awhile, it starts to look oily. I used blot powder, but that only holds the oiliness at bay for a couple of hours. The shininess may also be due in part to the new primer I am using, so I need to try this without the primer to see how it looks. Otherwise, great product.
UPDATE: I returned this. After applying this, I noticed it was too dark for my skin. Not to mention that it enlarged my pores and made me shiny, as I mentioned above. Too bad too because it didn't cause breakouts. :(

I love love how matte this looks on my face. I'll sometimes add it to my neck and chest. This is definitely a neutral brown, there's no orange to it or shimmer. It really looks like you got a tan.

Definitely my HG bronzer &I've tried 'em all from Nars to MAC to Milani and so on. This looks the most natural on me by far. Its a true brown color w/a hint of shimmer but the shimmer is by no means over the top. It disperses nicely on the skin and looks very natural. I must add that I only use this in the summer months when I have a tan. I am usually very fair in the winter &I stick w/warmth during those months. I of course hate the packaging b/c the stuff gets all over the darn place &I feel like a lot of product gets wasted. However, the color payoff more than makes up for the spills. Fair skinned gals should probably stick w/warmth. I've never had any kind of reaction to this product either which is strange b/c the original foundation (I'm looking forward to trying the Matte version when it hits the boutiques) and mineral veil break me out.

You can have a sunkissed glow all year long with BE's Faux Tan! I love it! I mix a sprinkle of the faux tan with my MV (after I have already put on the MV) and sweep it over my cheeks, chin, decolletage, and forehead. Voila - a natural sunkissed look in minutes!
