My favorite shimmer brick for my medium skintone, brown hair, and blue/green eyes. The Brownie Shimmer brick looks beautiful on my eyes and each color really stand out as different from the others. This shimmer in this palette looks so beautiful for the Summer also! This works well as a blush or bronzer, but only when applied lightly with a large brush. I have also used it mixed with clear gloss on my lips with beautiful results. All in all, in my opinion, this shimmer brick has the most color out of the ones I have tried (all but apricot) and I prefer it to the others as well!

I wish they had a Yes, yes, yes as an option for would you buy again.

This has got to be the most pigmented of all shimmer bricks and is just INCREDIBLE! It's a lovely mix of (to me anyway) pinky browns with the most gorgeous champagne shade. It looks awesome on my hazel eyes, it really makes the green stand up and shout. Not just pop, the green actually stands up and shouts. ;)

As a bronzer it's too pigmented for me to use without a skunk brush, even with a skunk brush it's possible to overdo it, it's that pigmented but I definitely don't find that to be a fault, I love that about it. The other shimmer bricks (save for Peony) have all barely given me any color at all and have been truly shimmer (which I love about them). This makes me glow and makes me look so alive.

Now some info on me, I'm super pale, I have brunette hair with reddish highlights and hazel eyes.

I think this is a shimmer brick everyone should at least check out for themselves as it's truly different than the others. I can see people complaining about it being too much pigment but for me it's just right for creating a KILLER eye look.

This is just allright for me. I didnt love it and i didnt hate it either. THis is the darkest and most pigmented out of all the shimmerbricks. I literally mean you need the lightest touch or you will look ridiculous. I use my PX bronzer brush to just barely brush the shimmerbrick and it gives my cheeks a nice dusty plum shimmer. I can see how some people may find this dirty looking but it created a nice nuetral browned plum cheek and all over color with my nc30 skintone. As a shadow it has slightly too much red tones to it but I could get away with it. I prefer it as a blush or bronzer. I didnt love this because its just not a favorite color for me. Retails for $35.

I love this! I'm nc 25 w/ auburn hair and it looks amazing. Yes, you must use a light hand, but w/ my mac 187 brush, it was a gorgeous bronzer color w/ some plummy rose undertones. It looks great on the eyes too, really makes my blue eyes pop. I think this would be especially pretty on brunettes, as it is a bit dark if you are fair w/ blonde hair. I think the shimmerbricks are way too expensive, but I do love this and am happy I got it.

Brownie shimmerbrick could be described as a plummy brown. It is a quite a bit darker than any of the other shimmerbricks, which means that if you are fair complected you should apply with a light hand. I used my BB face blender brush to apply and whoa! it was way too dark. I had to wipe most of it off. On the BB website it says it creates a medium sun-kissed glow. I would have to disagree because it is quite dark! The original bronze shimmerbrick (which they say creates a deep bronzy glow) looks much lighter on my fair skin than Brownie. It's very pretty but I'll have to practice applying it so that I don't look like I have dirty cheeks! I think this shimmerbrick would be better suited for medium and darker complected ladies. I probably would not have bought this had I tried it at the store, but I was with my boss and I didn't want to play around with make-up while he was there! Lesson learned.
Edited: 5/11/06 -- edited to give 4 lipsticks. I have learned to apply this with a light hand in order for it to suit my fair skin. It looks lovely if applied correctly.

This is my favorite shimmerbrick out of all of BB's shimmerbricks. I'm LLL and a lot of the other shades were really too light and only showed up as shimmer or if I could get any color out of them, it was way too shimmery looking on me. Brownie is perfect for use on the eyes or as a blush and highlighter. It will be great for the summer as it will give your face a healthy glow. You should use a really fluffy brush and a light hand when you apply this as a blush because it's easy to overdo it. But overall, one of the best shimmerbricks.

Okay, I am a bit crazy. For some reason, I felt the need to purchase all the bricks except for apricot. I do not use them that much. But......this one is awesome! I love it on my eyes. I am NC 35-ish and this shows up nicely and honestly does not seem as *shimmery* as the other ones. It also gives me a nice glow on the cheeks but you must use it sparingly. It is a brownish plum but do not let that scare you; it's prettier than it sounds. I am usually not a big fan of plums. I ordered this from Saks in NYC. I would repurchase but I will never run out.

UPDATE: I love this shimmerbrick! It really is the only one that I truly find flattering on me. I think the other ones looked okay but it was more wishful thinking. This looks incredible as eyeshadows and really looks amazing on cheeks as well. :)
