Wow, i just bought this Lorac Heat Collection at Sephoras! I was going out this past weekend and my legs needed some color, well I was not disappointed, this stuff goes on like cream and adds enough color so your legs don't look pasty but not too much where they look fake!! Great stuff, but make sure to wash your hands or they will be golden!

Update! I've used this multiple times since I first reviewed, and my opinion is much more positive. When applied carefull to avoid streaks, this makes my skin looks pretty fantastic. The scent is still unappealing to me, but fades.

Rec'd in a LORAC bronze set from Sephora, and this was my least favorite product from the package (which inc shadow, blush, mocktail gloss).

Squeezed tube and the wrong end burst open, spraying product across my wall. What a mess and a waste! Not a great first impression.

The scent seemed excellent for a second, but I got sick of it quickly.

Lots of dark pigment for my pale skin, but can look good if I'm careful to avoid streaks.

I usually mix with a plain moisturizer, as this has more sparkle than I'd wear to work. I could see wearing it out at night, or even during the day on a date or something.

Contrary to most of the reviewers here, I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I used in Vegas when we went out to the clubs dancing. I had some help applying it to my back to blend it in. I had it all over me. My neck, chest, arms back and legs. I let it dry, got dressed and went out. Granted, I wasn't wearing white, but hardly any product transposed onto my clothing & the product that was on my clothes, I'm convinced was my fault in the application. It did a great job of covering up some blemishes and scars, too. I actually like the color, too, and the sparkle. It also has a pleasant smell. Not something I would wear to a casual outing, but would definitely use if I'm feeling a bit risque.
Update 06/2008: I can't wear this with a white clothing & I'll stick to wearing this product with only black or dark colors. I don't know what I did differently from Vegas, but this product let me down this last time I put it on in my hometown. Will keep you posted.

As a Latina with medium olive skin (and as someone who avoids the sun because it aggravates my hyperpigmentation problems), I bought this product with high hopes of making my bare legs and arms look better for a formal event. The pro: the color's nice, not too faint and not garish at all. The *BIG* con: even if you apply this correctly and wait 45 min. plus to put your clothes on, this *will* rub off on your clothing. I have the permanently-stained dress to prove it (not even bleach could remove this stuff!!!) I will NOT be purchasing this item again. In fact, it went straight into the trash...happily, I later tried St. Tropez's bronzer/self-tanner and was thrilled with the results, although the application is a bit more involved.

I completely adore this product! As someone else said, the color is not exactly tan,it's more of a pinkish bronze.I'm a LLL and the color looks great and completely believable on me,I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it.It's not as shimmery as it looks in the tube, and is perfect for parties amd nights out.And did I mention the sweet coconut smell?:) The only thing I don't like is that it can rub off on clothes(esp black or white), but I guess all liquid bronzers do that...

Fortunately, I got a sample of this product from Sephora and I didn't actually purchase it (which to me is a bit pricey for a bronzer). I really like this brand, but this product is awful! Like some of the reviews below point out, it isn't a "tan" color- it's more of a golden bronze with pinkish hues. Sounds pretty, and in darker, yellowish lighting, it actually looks kind of pretty, but when you go outside... it's anything but natural. Secondly, it's EXTREMELY hard to blend. On the flip side, it's not a self-tanner, so you can easily spend the 20 minutes it takes to blend it in to remove the streaks and not worry about staining your hands as it just washes right off. In fact, that's probably the best thing about it- how easily it comes off!

Oh dear. I got a free sample of this stuff from Sephora and tried it, using less than half of the 0.16 oz. package on both my legs and arms. It was a weird color, not so much a tan, but a sparkly pinky-bronze, like blush from the 1980s! And what a mess! It got all over my clothes, even after I thought I'd given it sufficient time to dry, and gave my skin a bizarre, streaky, sunburned appearance. It smelled like pipe tobacco, which is pleasant enough, but not for a skin product. Fortunately, it *did* wash off easily. I'd be plenty pissed if I'd paid money for this crap, and suffice to say, I won't ever buy it.

I do not like to go into the sun excessively, not do I have time to tan. I am also a PPP. Now that it is almost summer time, I am looking a little too white and nerdy. I scoped out this bronze luminizer and put some on at Sephora. Then I went back two more times before I bought it. My friend is one of the directors there. She helped me try it on both of my arms and it looked natural. It is like the Chanel powder bronzer for your face Irellee something or other in the shade called Savannah-perfect for the fair complected. I like the little bit of shimmer. It is not over the top. The price of $30 is a little high, but I think that one tube will last a season for me. It has a subtle coconutty fragrance that is very light. I am glad that I found a product that will work for me without making me look too tacky.

I have to say for a body bronzer this one kicks ass! it stayed on my legs overnight and didn't transfer to my white sheets so i woke up with tan legs! how cool is that?
and it smells great too, so i love wearing it. and it always looks natural. definitely worth the buy.

I just tried this product, and to me, it seems to be more of a luminizer than a bronzer. I am pretty fair, and this color doesn't show up well on me. It does, however impart a LOT of shimmer, especially in daylight. Granted the shimmer is fine (not huge chunks of glitter). But it didn't have enough color for me. I think it's great for when you want some glitz and just the faintest of tint. It is pretty liquidy, but spreads quite easily. And as it is light colored and hides small imperfections, streaking is not a prob. However, as others have commented, this has very little staying power (unlike MAC Sundressing). I splashed some water on my arm when washing my hands and immediately saw tan drips all over the sink. Can't imagine if you got caught in even the slightest drizzle! Yuck!

So I had a holiday party and it was going to be cold but I hate tights/panty hose. I am fair as fair gets andthough I am enbracing my paleness, I thought I would look a little better with some color on my legs. I realized I got a sample from Sephora of this and I gave it a test run and it was fantastic! I couldn't believe how great it made my legs and even though my skin is pale, it gave my legs a shimmery toned look without being garish. I felt a lot more confident with this on. It's nice that you can layer it to build intensity if you want. I didn't like the vanilla scent though. I am generally sensitive to fragrance and didn't want it to clash with the fragrance I would be wearing to the party so I applied it early enough so that the scent faded. I didn't have a problem with rubbing off onto my black skirt which was surprising. I did apply it early and allowed it to dry thoroughly before I dressed. This is probabaly too much for daylight wear but absolutely perfect for evening out - it really makes a wonderful subtle difference to pale tired looking skin, and so much easier and less risky to apply than self tanner which can streak. I gave it a 4 due to fragrance but I plan on buying a bottle so I can use it for other evenings out.

I just wore this tonight and I can't get enough of this bronzer. It smells devine, it makes my skin look totally flawless and shine with a healthy glow. I really doubt that any bronzer would be able to not rub off on clothing...just one of those things you have to be aware of. I think it is totally worth the price for a flawless, healthy, nice smelling glow. I will buy again and again and again!!

This is a very nice bronzer with a very subtle shimmer. I have very fair skin and this adds nice healthy color. The scent is a subtle vanilla that I like, but it would be nice if they had a nonscented as well. I have not noticed it coming off on my clothes. If it does, I will update. I am glad that I bought this as I am tired of ALL the selftanners leaving that dirty dog smell after having it on for a few hours. This washes off in the shower so you do have to apply it as you would a moisturizer after showering. I really prefer this and I am done with selftanners forever:)

This isn't the best bronzing product I've tried, but it's definitely one of them. I think MAC's Sundressing Body Mousse is the best, but that's LE, so there's no need to get attached to it. Tantalizer is a reasonable substitute for it. It's a medium golden shimmer--and it actually gives a believable sheen that makes you look young and healthy. My favorite part of it, however, is the scent. Some people might be put off by the fact that it has a scent at all, but I really like it. It's a light, unobtrusive vanilla, and I find myself sniffing my arms all day. This one's a little pricey, and they could use the same product in some different shades, but other than that, I really like it.

Pros: This bronzer looks GREAT on my legs. I have light skin with a slight tan at the moment. This covers up all blemishes on my legs and makes my skin look even and shiny. At first I was afraid the color was too orange but after it dried it looked natural and great. This is the first time in years that I thought my legs looked good.

Cons: I tried this tonight before work. I got this product as a sample from a sephora order. I wore white capris tonight and I just looked at the inside of them, completely orange from the bronzer!! >_< I dont know yet if it will wash out.. if it does then I will probably purchase a full size of this. If it doesnt.. I guess I'll try to find something similar that doesn't stain clothes!!

honestly, the "sheen" is way too peachy for my asian golden skin tone. my legs looked like they were drenched in golden peach eyeshadow. my friend who's white with fair skin tried it on and her legs looked like they had BLUSH on. in addition, the lotion stained everything it touched! the lotion melted off my legs onto the car seat and left my legs totally streaked. i had to run into a bathroom and wash it all away. this horrible lotion cost $30. a must return item.

Per LORAC, "this quick-drying makeup instantly gives your skin a sexy, flawless, better-than-natural tan, without streaking." Purely a bronzer, its consistency is a bit runny but spreads easily and evenly. The shimmer is fine and subtle, as with the LORAC (face) luminizers; the color imparted is equally subtle. I find that this enhances my olive, slightly tan skin(Mexico, errant s/s) with a warm peachy shimmer. The scent is inoffensive and does not interfere with perfume. In comparison, NARS' body oil/bronzer possesses a more pungent, unpalatable scent but is more moisturizing. Three caveats: wear moisturizer beneath, allow 10 minutes to dry, wash hands afterwards. Some may find the shimmer too subtle, but I prefer it. ~$30/5.7 oz @ Sephora. *UPDATE 5/15/06 Ended up returning this to Sephora as it stains my clothes - not acceptable for the price. Purchased Jergens' shimmer lotion instead.*
