**Baby mild - too drying. It will strip you of everything but the skin on your bones very much like Ivory bar soap does but may be good if yo put a few drops in some water as baby wash. If you're an utter greaseball who sweats Crisco you'll love this. For everyone else use for dishwashing/detergent/household cleaning ONLY. For detergent mix some baking soda in with it to stop it staining clothes with the coconut oil.

Love it. I use it all the time. You can put 1/4 this with water in a pump dispenser and use it as hand soap. I like to use it before putting in and taking out my contacts because no perfumes or anything is left on my hands to irritate my eyes.

Great if you are fed up of chemical rubbish this is pure 100% natural and works amazingly to clean everything whether it is yourself or other items.
I use this in my hair (shampoo) or for my body (shower gel) clothes (I used this when my detergent ran out, it worked great), the floor (use it like floorwash), to wash plates with, wash make up brushes, wash my pet.... etc! This stuff is magic and is ideal for those especially with sensitive skin.
My boyfriend had really bad zits plus eczema on his back and I made him switch from axe men's products to this, he just loves loves loves this soap and we buy the big bottle because he is a big guy and seems to just use soap up overnight but somehow the big bottle seems to last with him as a little of this soap goes a long way! Great buy, great for you and great for the environment!
100% recommended.

Oh, where to begin with this product..?! (:
First off, definitely buy this product if you want something for sensitive skin or are just flat out tired with washing your skin with loads and loads of chemicals. This stuff is like magic -it's very foamy, giving you a really good clean feel, WITHOUT the sodium lauryl sulfate!
You can use this stuff on your body, your face, your hair, or to clean your clothes. BUT -if you're going to use this on your hair, you might have to alternate with another hair shampoo every 2-3 days or so. When I used it on my hair, it gave this amazing volume, but after the 3rd day, it just totally weighed my hair down from buildup. I don't know why, but maybe it was from the oils in the soap, so I had to wash my hair with a regular hair shampoo and it was fine the next day.
The only complaint I have against this soap is that after a shower, I usually get dry, white residue between my fingers from the soap, so I have to wash my hands in the sink from that, but the residue isn't anywhere else on my body. I'm guessing this is due to the fact that Dr.Bronner's soaps are sooo liquidy -like water, so when I dump it out of the bottle, I almost always pour out too much at a time onto my hands and I waste a whole bunch of it when it drips off, so I'd suggest buying another kind of dispenser for it, but this soap is so ridiculously amazing it's worth the hassle!

Love this liquid soap --- it is very verstile!!!
very mild -- most excellent for my daughters sensative skin...and natural to boot!
body wash (one part liquid soap, three parts water)
laundry wash (two capfulls full strength)
i give mini bottles as gifts to the un-initiated with this challenge:
wash with their soap...then use Dr. B liquid soap with a white wash cloth.........

I use this to wash my face as part of the Acne.org regimen, which calls for a very mild unscented cleanser. This gets the job done nicely, and it does a surprisingly great job of removing nearly all of my makeup. The only downside this this product is that it is very concentrated, so it is recommended to combine this with water in another bottle or dispenser just to dilute it. I am lazy, so i just try to dilute it in the palm of my hand every time i wash my face. I end up wasting some product, but it doesn't bother me too much. This is a super multi-purpose product that you can use for your face, body, hair, teeth, household cleaning, you name it. Highly recommended.

I use this as both a shampoo and a body wash. I have longish dry, damaged curly hair and using this has improved the condition of my hair amazingly. When I rinse it out my hair feels really strange and matted, but conditioning restores it to normal and my hair is just so much better than it ever was using either shampoo or no-poo.
As a body wash it is mild but thorough and although it is "unscented" it still has a lovely clean "soap" smell. I wish I could get a perfume of it!

Dr Bronner's Baby Castille Soap Ingredients:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Water, Saponified Coconut, Hemp, Olive Oils (with retained Glycerin), Fatty Acids, Vitamin E, Citric Acid
My kids have pretty sensitive skin. I was using Suave 2 in 1 shampoo as their shampoo and body wash for several years without too much problems. Recently, I have started to notice dry rashy skin on their legs, behind their ears, and face. I think their tender skin is finally having adverse reactions to the chemicals/preservatives/SLS.
I am currently diluting this castille soap with a 50/50 water mix ratio. It seems to be going pretty well so far. I tried using it as a shampoo, but it felt sticky and didn't rinse well. I switched their shampoo to Trader Joe's Balanced Moisturizing Nourish Spa. It is SLS- free. I was hoping to find one that's paraben- free, but they didn't have one there.

After I had read the reviews here on this product I decided to try it. I have been searching frantically for something mild to clear up my face and keep it that way. I also took the advice of getting a foam pump to use it in. (I actually had a dial hand soap foaming pump that was almost done so I just rinsed it out a few times and added the Dr. Bronner and water into that. It's been working great!) At first I was just using it occasionally, but my face has been broken out for about 2 months and the other face washes I bought weren't helping at all. So, I decided to use the Dr. Bronner both morning and night. So far, so good. Of course the acne that broke out on my back and chest has started to diminish as well, without the Dr. Bronner so I might have just finished with my acne spell, hard to tell. The Dr. Bronner makes my face actually squeaky clean and tightens my face. I don't think it drys out my skin at all, but I did buy the unscented baby-mild formula so that may have something to do with it. The value of this product is amazing. I can't believe how a little bit lasts so long! It seems I'll never have to buy another bottle again!
I'm only giving this 3 lipsticks for now since I'm not really sure if it actually did clear up my horrible acne breakout. I will continue to use this product to see what happens in the future. I still like the product tho, and I hope it helps to prevent future breakouts.

Hmm, well, I love the fact that this product is sustainable and I can trust I'm not harming the earth. It does fine to wash my hands with, but leaves my face a little dry and with a residue - it just doesn't rinse completely, since it's a "soap." I've been using it anyway (I will not let it go to waste) and my face looks a little...uneven. No breakouts, and not especially irritating, I just don't like the film it leaves. It works ok as a body wash too, the residue is less bothersome then.

i got this to use on my 2 1/2 year old daughter in the bath. it does a great job of cleaning her, but not drying her out. i also use it on myself, as i get in the tub with her b/c when she was young she was scared of the water.....i guess i haven't thought of not getting in with her, since she enjoys playing tub toys with me so much. anyway, today she washed my back about 8 or more times and i have to say, it didn't feel dried out at all! i have very dry skin too. i thought for sure i'd be itching like crazy with dryness. nope. a little does go a very long way, so it'll last a good while. there is a sort of non-descript soapy smell, but definately not fragranced. very great stuff. i also have the almond, and i do enjoy the scent a lot, but it is a tad more drying. not sure why though.

I like this as it's not scented, and cleanses well without stripping the moisture off my already dry scaly skin.
Plus fairly economical as you can dilute it before using.

I used to just use this for washing makeup brushes. I tried washing my face with it, but it was pretty drying and it burned my eyes. I do wash my baby with it (but not her hair), every other day and with some oil in the water. It rinses clean and doesn't make her smell like some synthetic scent that a conglomerate decided a baby should smell like.

this is my favourite Dr. B's liquid. the other scented ones seem to be very drying, and while I like to use them as bath soaks, they dry my skin out too much if I use it like soap. this however, does not; I wouldn't call it moisturizing, but it doesn't strip my skin like the other liquids do. I also love that it's scent free, but does a great job of busting body odors.

I've been using this product to mostly wash my hands , flannel facial wash cloths and makeup brushes with. It's pretty good for those purposes. Not drying, yet gets you and whatever you use it on clean. I like the fact that it's not artificially scented, yet still somehow smells kinda fresh.... I've read some of the other reviews were people mentioned filling foaming pumps with this. I currently have a regular pump top attached to the bottle and the thin liquid can squirt out a bit too easy which makes a mess. I'll be switching to a foaming pump as soon as I find one.

I love this soap! I put a little bit of the soap (2:1) in a Dial hand pump bottle w/ some water and it lasts such a long time. It really makes you feel clean and it's not drying at all. I've tried the lavender, tree tea oil, eucalytus, and this is my favorite =D I use it on my back and I haven't had any issues with breakouts ever since. Especially since it's the summertime and I live in a very hot, and dry desert. Try it....it's so cheap. I will continue to buy.

This is your basic liquid Marseille soap. The bottle is kinda scary but it works. And the little 4oz bottle lasts a long time.
My only minor bémol is that this formulation is a smidge drying on my face- not so much that I won't use it, but still. I do know from using this that there is no way I could ever use the peppermint on my face like the mild. I am not in love but I would buy this again in the small size because it is so portable and multipurpose.

I'm going to preface this by saying that I am a die-hard Dove bar soap fan. Nothing I've ever used has been so great to my face and body.
That said, this year I am living in a dorm and hauling a bar of soap back and forth to my room isn't really practical. I'm always searching for "natural" alternatives to my beauty products and had heard raves about Dr.Bronner's. Naturally I went with the baby formula because my skin is so sensitive.
I'm a bit underwhelmed with this product. It lathers great, so it's a great price for the amount. I seem to have a problem with the lather just disappearing off of my puff and body after a few seconds though. There is no extra moisture, so I can't use it to shave. I do really like this after the gym though, as it cleans my skin head to toe without stripping, and the little bottle lasts so long. Also I haven't noticed any irritation or breakouts/clogs.
So I'm continuing my search for a liquid dove bar, but keeping the Dr. Bronner's around for travel and my gym bag. and to satisfy my inner hippie

I've been using the peppermint and eucalyptus scents of these soaps but I ended up buying the baby mild for my father b/c he's been dealing with itchiness all over his body for a few years now. It used to only be in the winter but this year, it has persisted past the spring and into the summer. We had already changed his laundry detergent and stopped using softener as well as him having to use topical creams and taking pills to deal with the problem. The pills made him drowsy but he has been putting up with it until two days ago.
He only used this soap for two days and the itching has stopped completely! It was the first time since he started his pills that he didn't have to take any. He says that he loves how it makes him feel clean w/o that slippery after-feel. I love that too and when I use it along with exfoliating gloves, I step out of the shower feeling like a million bucks.
Personally, I am not against other hypoallergenic soaps that are not "natural" or "organic" and in fact, I would encourage people to try other stuff if this soap doesn't work for you in terms of allergies. As it is derived from plants, it can just as well trigger an allergic reaction in some people but if one has allergies to chemical-based irritants, I would HIGHLY suggest this.
